Hotel Valencia Santana Row, Valencia Hotel Collection

We are from the Bay Area but on our way back from Carmel we decided to stay a night at the beautiful Valencia hotel. We were greeted with such warmth and joyful energy by the amazing Odalys! She not only gave us a beautiful room but left a surprise in the room for us as well! I’ll add picture so you all can see it on my post! Lastly, she made sure that our stay was everything we hoped it would be! I wish I could clone an individual like Odalys because there are far and few people in this world like her! We are already looking forward to our next visit there thanks to her amazing hospitality ! Also want to shout out Kared and Randall as well! They are truly all standout staff and hope they get rewarded for their kindness and thoughtfulness! 🫶🏽

OMG they made my solo self care bday one to remember! Ihad the wellness room with Peleton Bike so I got to try it for the first time and loved the workouts while looking at amazing view of the courtyard through beautiful shuttered windows. They sent me complimentary champagne and cheesecake! They served palomas at the front desk! The bed was ultra comfy, the temp in room adjustable, the bathroom had tub and shower (so imp to me), full size sundries as well. When I couldnt access the account on Peleton, Nick the engineer showed up in 5 minutes and set it all up for me. I had an amazing english breakfast with good coffee. Complimentary bottled water as well. To top it off it is adjacent to the Burke Williams spa where I spent my day. it may be a little pricey but worth every cent! Everyone was wonderful! I may make this a tradition:)

This place is great if you just want to be in the middle of Santana Row and want to walk around and do some shopping. The view from my balcony room was great, but there were a few issues I had with this hotel. The fridge in the room has no room for anything you bring in. It's all mini ar stuff that's very expensive and leaves no room for your own stuff. Also, it was locked when I got to my room so I had to call the front desk and they unlocked it remotely. There is no convenience store nearby and no shop in the hotel so you have to walk almost a mile outside Santana Row if you want to get anything that's not sold in a high-end boutique shop. One of the expensive candy jars was partially open when I got to the room. I took a pic and told the front office, and I also reminded them about it as I was checking out 5 days later (it never got removed/fixed while I was there. And then as I was doing my business expenses today I noticed they charged me for the candy after I checked out!! They said they had the note on file as I checked out and promised I wouldn't be charged for it. Ridiculous. Now I have to take this up with my expense team so they can challenge the charge. * I have contacted them for a refund on the jar of gummy bears. I'll update my review if the refund is processed in a timely manner. The person who helped me over the phone was nice and helpful, so that's a plus.

We enjoyed our stay and had one if the best views in the entire Hotel. Thank you for an amazing experience. The pool was pretty damn good too, the other guests and us had a blast with a few random conversations when we weren't swimming. All in all a 9.1/10. P.S. If you are here for here for longer than 4 days and dont like traveling with dirty laundry. There is a wash and fold about a mile away that will do your laundry, and iron it for 1.75 per lb. Nothing beats going home with clothes you don't have to wash.

Hotel Valencia in San Jose continues to be my go-to-spot, and for good reason - every stay is an absolute pleasure. The service, comfort, and convenience are consistently top tier, making it feel like a home away from home.||This time around, I was especially impressed by the level of care and attention to detail. Scott Dolan, the Director of Rooms, personally checked in with me both before and after my stay to ensure everything was perfect - such a thoughtful touch that stood out. At the front desk, I was warmly welcomed and thoroughly taken care of by RJ and Maria. Their professionalism and hospitality set the tone for a seamless experience. ||From the clean, well-maintained rooms to the beautifully designed spaces throughout the property, Hotel Valencia truly nails both form and function. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful, creating a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. ||Can't wait for the next stay - highly recommend!

We stayed at the hotel to celebrate my birthday, and overall, it was a great experience. The staff gave us a warm welcome and even surprised me with a bottle of wine—such a thoughtful gesture! The room was comfortable, room service was excellent, and the valet team was efficient and friendly. However, breakfast at Oveja Negra the next morning was disappointing. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive after multiple reminders.They forgot the hash browns, which only came after a request and the sourdough bread was stale. The Spanish omelette was topped with sour jalapeños that completely overpowered the dish and took away from its authenticity. I hope they take more care with attention to detail and improve their customer service at the restaurant, which would make an otherwise wonderful stay truly perfect.

We met friends staying at the Valencia Hotel and had dinner on their terrace, what a superb setting with its Spanish-inspired decor! The tapas were excellent, and the service was top-notch. That evening, there were still a few tables available, which meant no waiting for us. I recommend it 100%!

From the moment we arrived, our experience at Hotel Valencia Santana Row was nothing short of exceptional—thanks in large part to Victor. He went above and beyond to make our stay was especially as we were celebrating my friend birthday. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression on all of us. The hotel itself is stylish, and very clean well maintained, and ideally located in the heart of Santana Row. Thanks to Victor and the Hotel Valencia team, my friend’s birthday was unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be returning!

I've been to the bar here a few times, and truly the best part about this place is the the security staff. Rolly and Rosa are awesome---polite, friendly, helpful, a pleasure to interact with, and just genuinely kind souls. I lost my phone, and both of them took the time to help me locate it. Forever grateful to them!

We've stayed at Hotel Valencia several times over the past 10 years or so and we always have a great experience. The location is incredible, located within Santana Row so you have access to plenty of shopping, dining and activities. The hotel itself is nice and well maintained. Self parking is annoying if you have luggage so we use valet which is totally overpriced but very convenient. We always stay in a king room and we've had various views, looking at the interior courtyard or out at Santana Row. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with a closet, drawers, long desk area with a coffee station. The beds are comfortable (I always sleep well here) and I appreciate the sitting area and full length mirror, as well as the bathroom layout and toiletries provided. It really is convenient to stay here with a touch of luxury, which is why we continue to come back.

Decided I needed a last minute staycation. Checked into the hotel, turned off my phone and just enjoyed the pool and hot tub. All of the staff was extremely helpful, and went way above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. If you have any questions or need any help, look for Nathaniel, Melissa, Stephen or Grace. They're all super friendly and helpful, and will make you feel at home. The room was clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. As someone who used to travel for work, I've been to way too many hotels where the pillows were as flat as a sheet of paper. I also appreciated having a bathtub and shower with decent water pressure, and a quality hair dryer. If you can't decide where to go for dinner just dine at Oveja Negra. All of the food was delicious, and the cocktails were amazing.

This is the most amazing hotel in all of San Jose. Tony is a rockstar and checked us in at 3 pm. We have a gorgeous suite on the 6th floor. This is a 5 star experience. Burke Williams is upstairs so check out my fave spa while you are here!!!

As I'm reserving a couple nights here for the near future it made me recall the pleasant experience I had here over Valentine's Day weekend. The environment was welcoming and luxurious! The staff is very friendly, attentive and efficient. The bar drinks and food were impeccable. I was also very impressed with the security staff as I vividly remember they did a great job of constantly making sure the environment didn't become chaotic despite it being a very busy weekend. Rolly and another employee alongside him were so helpful when I had any questions and concerns, which I had plenty of! The overall safety, guidance and warm energy I felt is influencing my return and thought I'd share :)

Unless you want to be kept up until 1am with a large 50 person party in the room next door to you, or you'd like to have random strangers coming to a club in your hotel - this is not the place for you. It's rare I give 1 star reviews. The 1 star is for the person who checked us in - she was pretty amazing. But this is not a place for families nor is it a good place to bring grandparents - they could hear the noise 2 rooms over. I literally could tell you what the people next door were talking about - the walls were that thin. The staff knew there was a huge party and did nothing. Clearly I'm still cranky for the lack of sleep!

Grace from Hotel Valencia really went above and beyond for us. She invited us back to celebrate our anniversary and she wowed us. We had the most beautiful room and amenity waiting for us. We were stunned. The breakfast was very delicious and the dinner at the hotel was to die for. They really know how to make a dirty martini. I would absolutely return, and bring friends with me this time. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Thank you Hotel Valencia for such a wonderful stay, and showing us what you're all about! Exceeding our expectations!!

You can even get a room with a view of Santana Row! You can choose to dine at the restaurant inside Hotel Valencia, order room service, or you can choose to walk around Santana Row and have breakfast, brunch, lunch, and/or dinner, at one of the amazing restaurants there! You'll find some of the best cuisine in the entire world in Silicon Valley, and if you don't want to drive anywhere, you can download the Door Dash app and have food delivered from all around the Bay Area right to your Hotel Valencia room! You'll love how walkable Santana Row is! There are many fantastic stores located in the Santana Row neighborhood. You can also see an indie movie at the movie theatre located in Santana Row! If you'd like to see a blockbuster movie instead, there is a popular movie theater located in the Valley Fair Mall, right across the street and within walking distance from Santana Row. You can also shop at the many fabulous, would famous stores that are located in this flag ship, San Jose, California Mall, the Valley Fair Mall. You'll find stores such as Tiffany's, Bloomingdale's, The Apple Store, Fendi, Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Ted Baker, Balenciaga, MAC Makeup, Dyson, Lucid Motors, just to name a few! Location is unbeatable! The rooms are clean and well kept. Very welcoming staff too! Even the person who checks on the pool and the patrons that are using it is very helpful. He saw that my daughter wanted to use the hot tub so he assisted me in turning it on. Will definitely come back!

This hotel is very nice and clean, the rooms are pretty big too. The staff are super friendly, they sent up complimentary chocolate covered strawberries, soda (because we don't drink) and a little charcuterie plate which was a nice surprise when we came back to our room. Love the location of this hotel, there are so many restaurants & shops that are walking distance. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

I recently stayed at hotel Valencia last weekend a couple days before the half marathon that was happening in Santana Row. I was promptly greeted by valet/bell service for assistance. Mark and Hugo from valet help take my bags and guided me to the elevators to get up to the lobby. It was a weekend and the lobby was busy as I got up there, but was warmly greeted by staff at the front desk. Mel was the lady at the front desk who checked me in, she was very welcoming and accommodating for some needs I had for my room! I had a beautiful suite on the 5th floor over looking the Main Street, and was right next to the pool and gym. I had the room all to myself before the race, before my family joined on the morning of the race. I haven't gotten that good of a rest in years the bed was very comfortable and so many soft pillows to lay your head on!!! Everything at hotel Valencia was very convenient, your surrounded by shops and restaurants and staff was one call away for any needs you may have. After the family joined and the race was done, the kids and I went to the pool where they had a blast. The whole stay was amazing! We were greeted by Grace during checkout and welcomed us back and we sure will!

Getting there was a breeze and you can have free parking at one of the 3 parking garages or pay $50 per night for valet parking. Sounded overpriced to me so I parked my own car. The walk back from the parking garage wasn't bad at all but did feel awkward walking around with luggage down an outdoor shopping strip. Checked in with ease and we were offered complimentary waters and sangria which was much appreciated after 1.5 hr drive. The lobby smelled so good! I want that scent in my house! LOL & The place is big inside. Doesn't seem that there'd be so many rooms from the outside. We checked out the gym and pool. Very nice and clean. We didn't get to enjoy the pool though; the weather wasn't warm enough. The room was clean and welcoming. Bed was comfy! We decided to order breakfast and regretted it! Unfortunately everything was subpar. We ordered two orders of French toast ($20/plate) as shown in the pics and these came with no sides of eggs or sausage so we ordered another plate of eggs, sausage and potatoes. The French toast was terrible, & dry covered in soggy banana and strawberry slices. The sausage was rubbery, seemed to have been reheated, and the potatoes were stale. Overall a big fat ZERO stars on that. Too bad because I would've been willing to come back another time maybe in the summer but breakfast in bed is important to us when we spend the night out.

I regularly stay at this hotel when I come to town for work. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious, and they occasionally have live guitar music. It is perfectly located in the middle of Santana Row. There are lots of good restaurants, shops, coffee shops nearby, as well as the mall a couple of blocks away. The one annoying thing is you have to take an elevator from street level to the lobby, then another elevator to your room. A small annoyance but everything else is consistently great.

Hotel Valencia - a great corporate event venue. Superb staff and wonderful experience. Our office hosted a three day work conference with about 90 attendees at Valencia in February 2024. It's been a pleasure working with everyone at Valencia including the event booking and management team, the F&B, hotel concierge, housekeeping and valet service. The staff is professional, attentive, experienced, super friendly and detail oriented. Everything went smoothly and punctual. Our meeting room was immaculate, spacious, well-lit and comfortable. The AV technicians are professional, responsive and very helpful. F&B has great menu choices and the outdoor courtyard with setup to shield against rain was a great idea. The guest rooms are updated, clean, and very comfortable too. The beauty about hosting the work conference at Valencia is the intimacy of an excellent boutique hotel and its convenient location on Santana Row, the heart of San Jose with nearby premium shopping and fine dining choices. Big shoutout to Lisa, Jacquelyn, Elizabeth, Cam, Carlos and the courtyard crew, Ken and Uri for taking care of us! Hope we find our way back to Valencia for another meeting again.

I recently just stayed here for a weekend trip but what I can say is that even from this short visit, I was so impressed and felt so taken care of by the attentive staff. Not only were they so accommodating and helpful, but we had a beautiful view overlooking part of santana row. Would definitely recommend staying here again! I had the pleasure of staying here for a girls weekend getaway, and I cannot tell you how amazing the experience was! We were greeted by the staff, offered sangria upon check in, and everyone was so helpful and kind. A special shout out to Odalys, Elena, and Nathaniel for making us feel so welcome and taken care of. After getting checked in, we were so happy with our view and how clean the rooms were. Definitely coming back to stay here!!!

The hotel is located in the posh area of Santana Row. Beautiful inside the lobby. The staff are friendly and professional. Starting with valet,the concierge , receptionist ,the room service staff and housekeeping they are awesome. They have a restaurant Spanish tapas called Obeja Negra. Great food and the service is friendly. Good prices and plenty of food. Lots of security, you need the room key to get in the elevators. They also have a night club. Definitely I would return.

Excellent hotel. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. Hotel Valencia has an incredible spa right next-door. There's a plethora of shopping all along Santana Row. Endless amount of dining options too.

Beautiful hotel with all the amenities. The beds were comfy and the shower was luxurious I didn't want to get out. The staff was hospitable and gracious. I will be back!

This is the best hotel in San Jose and Silicon Valley. The location is at the center of Santana Row and across the street from the best designer mall, including Maestro's Eatly, and Shake Shack. The hotel itself was impeccable, particularly for the price. It is clean, modern, and overall fun experience. It's a beautiful hotel, with renovated and stylish rooms, and the employees are thoughtful and accommodating.

This is a lovely boutique hotel. The decor is Spanish inspired so you feel like you're staying in a casita or villa in the Mediterranean. They offer delicious free sangria at the front desk. All of the staff including valets were incredibly friendly and attentive. The hotel has a very pretty central courtyard where they serve food and have lots of tables for special events. They also have a rooftop bar on the 7th floor. My room was spacious and clean. The windows had cute wooden slat blinds. You can't beat the location right in the middle of the bustling Santana Row dining and shopping district. Definitely recommended for a stay in San Jose.

We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary. It's was absolutely beautiful. We had no dinner reservations, the lovely young lady working the front desk called a few restaurants and made dinner reservations for us. The hotel also sent us a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary. They have a lounge/bar and restaurants in the hotel which were so convenient. Highly recommend this hotel. I was a little disappointed when I forgot a few pair of pants at the hotel after checking out and when I called to see if they were put away, I was told my clothes were never found. A little bummed but over all they definitely made our anniversary even more memorable.

I've been lucky enough to travel to some of the most beautiful hotels in the world and I believe that the service and hospitality you receive while staying in these locations can make or break your visit. To say that the hotel Valencia met my expectations would be an understatement. Not only was the hotel beautiful, clean and welcoming, the staff was every bit as accommodating and warm as any other luxury hotel I've stayed at. Being 5 months pregnant, I realized after the first night that sharing a bed (my friends and I planned a birthday weekend for 4 of us) was not an option. Stephen at the front desk helped me book my own room right next to my friends and made sure I was happy and comfortable with the new accommodation...he was so kind throughout the whole process :) When we first checked in, Alana at the front desk found out it was my friends birthday and offered free drinks, when we told her we were sober she sent up cheese cake and diet cokes with a birthday balloon! Truly above and beyond anything I've seen. We felt so special and taken care of all weekend, and have decided this is now a yearly tradition for us. Also Nathan always greeted us with a smile, helped with our bags and kindly made sure the elevator waited for us as I waddled over after a long day of Christmas shopping. Can't wait to come back to the Valencia!

Wonderfully located on Santana Row and courtesy bottled waters! Staff were all courteous and attentive during my stay and V-Bar downstairs was fun and lively. Love that a little bit of Texas is in California. Was very close to the mall and the international airport. Love love love this hotel and hope to bring my family back with me next time. PRO PARENT TIP: The pool is perfect for families and Santana Row has wonderful family-friendly restaurants and green space.

Love everything about this hotel. Great location for someone visiting San Jose. The mall, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The balcony was beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing with a bottle of wine out there while checking out the activities below. The service was exceptional. Stephen and the rest of the front desk staff were very courteous and responsive to our needs. The tea and cookies service at the lobby was a delightful surprise. The food at the restaurant was delicious. I would stay there again next time we visit San Jose.

Honestly there's not much to do in San Jose, but one of the rare places is Vbar in the hotel Valencia. I'm always greeted with respect and courtesy when I enter the Vbar lounge. Excellent cocktails by Bruno and most importantly the front door (Marcus and Roly, and Julianna) ensure quality clientele. Top 3 evening destinations in San Jose for a quality lounge experience.

We've stayed here a few times while visiting our son at Santa Clara University. Great location, clean rooms, great roof/pool area and the staff and service are awesome! I had to get a "stump" for my son's fraternity to show them how to play Hammershlagen. Victor (a manager) accepted this challenge and delivered. He had a stump delivered to the hotel in a few hours and we took it over to the school. Fathers and sons had a great time playing this game during Parents Weekend! Thank you Victor and Hotel Valencia!

Stayed for night on 3/26/22, heard good things so wanted to at least give it a try. Unfortunately, a lot of items did not come up to par and justify the high price. Check in was easy and quick. From there, it went downhill. The room 531we were given upon entry there was a large metal cover out in the open like for a HVAC unit and then walk a few steps: a random plastic black glove on the floor. Since the room was under construction the thermostat was broken and room was stuffy and warm. Called the front desk to let them know and upon review the room was under construction. They said the room was not supposed to be given out. Had to go back to front desk and to return the old room keys. Asked to at least comp the valet of which they did. They came up to the room with new room keys and gave 2 breakfast coupons to the American breakfast. Not impressed for the make up of their mistake and poor planning. The new room was fine but the walls are very thin. You can hear next door easily. They were having a nice shouting match.

This place if great! As a San Jose native I had been coming here for the night life scene back when I was younger. However, years go by and those nights are essentially behind you. I recently made my way back and basically it has not skipped a beat, probably even better than I remember now with more seasoned eyes. The hospitality was great, especially when coming back after the night was done. Osvaldo and I chatted for a while, Omar and the front was great and very patient with me. Also I appreciate Osiel having brought me some coffee to help me get my bearings in order. All and all great spot

Great location. Perfect for exploring and dining. There's so much food options around the hotel you don't have to get into your car it's fabulous. There is valet parking as well as free garage parking around the corner. The hotel staff was excellent everyone was so helpful and friendly. The bed was very plush and the room was spacious.

Everything about the hotel was absolutely breathtaking and perfect. The front desk managers were extremely thoughtful and sent me chocolate covered strawberries, and a bottle of champagne to celebrate my birthday. They did this by simply just listening to the conversation. I was having with my daughters. They were fast, efficient, and the location is prime. Odalys went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and we were greeted with such care& dignity. My daughters said they felt like we were celebrities at the hotel. That's how much care they took. This is the only hotel I'll ever stay at. Karina

I had an amazing night here thanks to Gerry. My friends and I all had the most pleasant and reassuring experience thanks to Gerry and his beyond perfect customer service. He tolerated my friend's shenanigans and had an exceptional attitude to every silly question we asked him. He's genuinely one of the nicest people I've met in this city! Thank you for being so nice!

FABULOUS!!!! Ten stars! My girlfriends and I decided to have my birthday weekend here and we are all mind blown. It's not just the beautiful hotel and amenities it's the customer service was top tier! Alana checked us in and sent special birthday dessert and balloon to the room! Stephen helped accommodate us in every way and was so friendly! Nancy was incredible with stuff we needed in our room and another chocolate cover strawberry surprise! Nathaniel made us feel like royalty opening doors for us! It made my special birthday weekend one I will never forget and we plan to come back yearly for our girls trip! This is the best hotel experience I have ever had and I have a degree in Hospitality! Thank you thank you!!!!!!

DISGUSTED. After over a month of waiting for resolution, I was direct messaged by the GM and then left on read. At the end of the day, we are two YOUNG WOMEN who were assaulted and harassed in YOUR bar. The issue was not solved correctly or efficiently. And we have not been compensated. Which leads me to the feeling that you have terrible customer service and hospitality. I'm disappointed, that was not my first experience in your bar but it will certainly be the last.

Stay here if you want to get harassed for going to your room. There was a party and we got held at the entrance and the security guards demanded that we show proof we're staying here

Absolute enjoy staying here! Look for Gerry at the front desk. He's the absolute best. He took care of us checking in, making sure we enjoyed our stay and everything while we visited family. Although there is barely any phone signal (which is normal in that area) the wifi was suffice during our stay. Would recommend staying here again as it is close to everything.

Stayed again because we were supposed to have a free night because of the last fiasco, still terrible. Food in the restaurant was awful, Bloody Mary was sub-par, they nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING oh and the "free night" conveniently wasn't noted on our account. Definitely not staying again, no idea how to DM the business on here but we are just taking our business elsewhere, would rather stay at Holiday Inn or some other average place with the ridiculousness that this hotel is.

Hotel is fine! Breakfast is not the best but manageable. The surrounding retail therapy is cool!

The staff - Kyle and the team are so fun . But management is truly amazing . When check in staff and the usual staff the helps with dealing with customers cars and usual tips of where to hang out . Truly remarkable team from beginning to managers. Amazing new restaurant too . The bar is interesting but really wanted to enjoy the asmr water effect

Yay for travel opening up again. We had a team offsite here after 16 months and it was wonderful to spend time with colleagues face to face. Hotel Valencia has a fantastic location. Tons of restaurants and coffee shops around the hotel. It's also next to Valley Fair Mall which has a lot more options. The rooms are a good size and well equipped. Very courteous and attentive staff. I am a fan!

First time coming here for a company event and it was lovely. Their courtyard on 3rd floor was really nice. (Would've been better if it wasn't so darn windy today.) Hotel itself is nice interior. You can't tell by exterior since it's next to luxury stores on the strip of Santana Row. You enter the lobby, it's all elevators which takes you immediately to 3rd floor. It's like a maze up there. Only complaint I have is their elevators, which are so freakin' slow. It feels like it breaks on you every time you're in there. (NOT recommended if you're claustrophobic.) Food was great. Salad with lemon dressing, wild salmon with roasted veggies and purple potatoes, and raspberry cheesecake. Fills on coffee and tea. Definitely coming back, especially for company events.

I recently stopped in specifically to check out the bar. I had great service the bartender Aaron was very welcoming and knowledgeable on drinks chooses. He recommended a great cocktail that my wife enjoyed. Thanks Aaron I'll will definitely visit again .
