"The tiny hotel in the heart of Diocletian's Palace is a striking blend of ancient history and 21st-century luxury. There aren't too many places in the world where you can sleep in an extremely comfortable bed surrounded by 1,700-year-old walls. P.E."

Excellent stay in this beautiful little hotel! All staff members were super nice and helpful and really made us feel at home (and also gave us a free bottle of wine for my birthday!). Breakfast was great! Top location right in the center of Split and a just a min walk from the seafront. The only suggestion I could give about our room is that it would actually be nice to have a TV at the lower floor so people could sit on the sofa and watch TV (we were in a 2 floors room with bed on the top floor and living room and bathroom at the bottom. TV was only in the bedroom on the top floor). But apart from this little detail everything was great and we look forward to come back!

I stayed here in January, 2025. It was likely the best hotel stay I've ever had. The staff were amazingly helpful (even providing great recommendations for local restaurants and activities). The room was beautiful and comfortable. It took a bit to find the hotel, as the palace does not have great signage (at least when I went), and I kicked myself for not taking them up on their offer to meet me on arrival. Would happily stay here again. There are a lot of stairs, but well worth it to stay in such a centrally located area. There was easy access to atms, grocery stores, and even a postal outlet. Lots of posh shopping within minutes. The hotel lives up to its luxury selling point. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Villa Dobric part of the hotel, and have no complaints. The room is well appointed, clean and cozy. Breakfast is also fresh and delicious! What makes the difference in this hotel is the whole staff, from housekeeping to reception, amazing service. A special mention to Ivan and Duje who were very helpful and helped us plan our visit to Split! 💯

Truly an incredible stay - from the moment we exited the taxi there was a gentleman there to help us with our luggage up the steps and to our room. Every staff member we encountered was courteous, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfasts were a delight, recommendations were top tier. Location was perfect - close to the water and also in the middle of the old city. Couldn't say enough good things about this place.

Great story the hotel has! Interesting vibe in the heart of the Old Town. Staying within the Palace itself is unique. Friendly atmosphere, relaxing people for an ultimate relax in Split. Clean and best location possible. Offer features great varieties to choose from.

Only super things to say about this hotel. The place itself is an experience -- outstanding location, outstanding staff, outstanding service. A really excellent experience. And a beautiful breakfast! Special call out to Toni, Tonci, Stipe, and Ivan. Cheers!

We had a nice holiday. Our hotel was actually the villa Dobric, a short walk from the main hotel . |Our room was clean and modern, but the the curtains could do with hanging properly. |Unfortunately, very noisy people were occupying the room above us for the first couple of days[I am assuming it was a hotel room above us!] as they were continually moving furniture, and dragging it across the floor, at all times of the night. We could not understand it! I wear ear plugs, but they did not help! It was like they were in the room with us! Not the hotels fault [assuming it WAS holidaymakers] but worth noting if anyone has trouble sleeping. |We went across to Hotel Vestibul every morning, for breakfast which was ok. We were under the impression it was a ' buffet breakfast' when we booked, which is usually an array of food laid out, so you can go up and pick what you want, and how much you want. |This breakfast came on a 3 tier cake stand, with enough food on it- 1 choc croissant, 1 plain croissant, small cubes, and slices of cheese, some meats, fruit and bread, but it did not always look fresh. If we were there at 7 am it wasn't too bad, but later in the morning, the fruit looked dried and I didn't fancy the meat. We were able to have cooked food too, and my husband said it was quite nice. |My biggest gripe was that the tea, served in a single person cup and pot, had a badly cracked cup each time! After the 2nd time, I mentioned it, then it was back on the table the next day! The 4th time it came out , as well as my plate having 3 chips out of it, I made the server replace them both. Why weren't they thrown out!|We spoke to a lady sitting next to us, who was not impressed by the breakfast, and we were witness to a lady querying her bill at the reception desk and I did not feel she was dealt with professionally. |The staff were very pleasant, but we both felt something wasn't quite right.

Although we did not actually stay at the hotel, we did attend the wine tasting event held there. We saw it advertised outside, and decided to go on a whim. We are so glad we did. The wines were amazing and the tapas were also very nice.|The thing that made it so special was our sommelier Frane Kovač. He really took the time to talk us through the history of the wines, the country, how to appreciate the wines and to answer all our questions.|His pride in the country and passion for the wine really made the experience for us. Thank you.
