Hotel Villa Dagmar

I rarely review hotels. But one is different and I think everything need to be mentioned. Let's start from the things that were exceptional. 1. Service. All staff was very friendly, helpful, eloquent. They remember your morning coffee preference and always wish a good day. 2. Breakfast. It is second to none! Breakfast here was by far the best that i had ever had in a hotel. It looked wonderful, tasted wonderful. Every morning started in a smile on my face because I could not wait to get down for breakfast. I am in love with their avocado toast! 3. Bath. Its huge, comfy, helps you relax after a long day of office meetings. I am not able to comment about gym and spa as I did not have enough time during my stay to check those out. Now over to things that are not so good: 1. Room. Its small, borderline claustrophobic. It has everything you need but I am not a fan of small places. 2. Air conditioning. When it is on lowest setting room is still too hot. I could not open windows as room was in courtyard with lots of noise and music. From time to time, smell of someone's poop comes from air conditioning vent. Now that is seriously discusting and unacceptable for a hotel of this level. 3. Bed. It was exceptionaly soft. Some people prefer soft beds. But I dont, I did not feel comfortable in it. 4. Tv. Its not actually a tv. You can chromecast your phone to it, but if you just want to wake up, push a button and listen to bbc news or blomberg. It aint happening. Overall 3/5 i think is fair. If i was facing street and could open the window overall experience would have been better. Next time I will choose a bigger room with windows facing other way. I would go back here. Even if it's just for breakfast. As I willl now be a frequent to Stockholm I intend to come back and try again.

Worst experience ever at the restaurant. The head waitress(supposedly), blonde lady with thin pony tail, was super rude. I ordered a camomile tea but they serve me a green tea instead. When explain the situation, the first thing I received was” we don’t have camomile tea”, super defensive. After I explained that green tea has caffeine and I’m afraid I cannot sleep during the night, the waitress said she will talk with the waiter. Then she disappeared for 5min and calling on the phone ignoring me. When I went to her again, she was like a tea is a tea, it’s a genuine mistake, I said can I at least get an apology she said I need to calm down. This was after 10+ people spend a generous bill during the evening. Never received such bad service IN MY LIFE, or the waitress could be racist since I’m obviously a foreigner. NEVER AGAIN AND THE OWNER SHOHLD RETRAIN THE STAFF.

Love the bar in the atrium to have a coffee, cocktail, lunch or dinner. Really lovely place with peaceful lighting that combines with natural lighting.

After 10 min I put in the order I noticed that the bartender might of forgotten my order or didn't understand that I did order. I had to order the water since my water glas was sitting empty since I walked in and then my wine. In my opinion that's when he should have at least apologised...

Amazing hotel in the heart of Stockholm! Loved the breakfast and sauna!

Very nice addition to the Stockholm hotel market since opening in the summer of 2021. Good sized rooms and a hip F&B area. Breakfast was tasty with lots of good dishes to choose from, although the buffet was on the skimpy side. Chromecast available in all rooms as well as a Marshall speaker. Good selection of free amenities and nicely stocked minibar. All in all a great experience.

Dagmar is easily one of the best hotels you can stay at in Stockholm in 2022. Location wise there is no competition with the hotel situated on Nybrogatan (the best part) next to some of the top restaurants in the city. The rooms are very tidy and nice and have all the amenities that you expect from a 5-star hotel if a tad bit small for my taste (stayed in a classic double). The beds are custom made for the hotel and are top-notch and super comfy to sleep in. There is one great restaurant in the hotel that serves an amazing a la carte breakfast that is included in the hotel. For dinner the restaurant is also a good option, but since it's competing with a lot of great ones around not sure it should be your first choice. Service-wise I have stayed at the hotel three times and has received nothing but great service from the staff. Especially in the bar, they are super friendly and always accommodating. In summary, I would say that for a weekend in Stockholm or for a business trip this is the best place to be right now.
