"Villa Santa Cruz is an oasis on the water run by two California-born couples. It has expanded over more than a decade to include villas, bungalows, and luxury oceanside tent suites with glass windows and hard walls. The hotel is devoted to programming and experiences that connect guests with local culture, like cooking classes and horseback riding excursions to a nearby working ranch." - David Shortell

We had the most incredible wedding at Villa Santa Cruz, a magical three-day celebration that will be remembered for a lifetime. Every detail, from the property’s stunning beauty to the exceptional service, exceeded all expectations and left our guests raving about the weekend long after it ended. The property itself is truly enchanting. The moment you drive through the gates, you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden oasis. It’s luxurious yet unpretentious, with warm colors, peaceful views, and thoughtful touches throughout. It feels like both a home and an escape. Every room is beautifully designed, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is so welcoming. This is the opposite of a cookie-cutter resort—Villa Santa Cruz is personal, intimate, and full of character. We’ve visited the property three times now, and each visit has been an opportunity to see how much love and care the owners, Jessica and Matt, and their team pour into the property, their staff, and the Todos Santos community. Jessica, in particular, went above and beyond to help us plan the event locations of our wedding, talking us through different options, sharing her creative insights, and making sure everything came together. Azucena was equally incredible, handling room assignments, financial logistics, and last-minute changes with patience, thoroughness, and kindness. The team’s warmth and dedication made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. It’s not a budget-friendly venue, prices are comparable to a wedding in a major U.S. city—but the experience is worth it. The quality, service, and unforgettable memories make it an investment in something truly extraordinary. We can’t wait to return and relive the magic of one of the most special weekends of our lives.

This is our fourth time visiting and it keeps getting better every time. The horse corral is a beautiful new addition. The gardens have grown even more epic. The olive trees are looking so good. Aaron at the pool bar made us the tastiest hibiscus margaritas and actually remembered my husband from the last time we were there. We’re planning on coming back for the holidays next year. It’s a beautiful, peaceful resort. There were so many whales breaching, too.

We came here for a mini honeymoon after getting married in Todos Santos. The hotel was incredibly kind and accommodating, knowing we had just gotten married - they upgraded us to an oceanfront tent. The staff here are the best! This property is beautiful and pristine, very quiet and romantic. We spent all our days either lounging by the ocean or in bed with an ocean view. We saw so many whales from our room! We are not into touristy places, and VSC is far from that. The architecture is unique, the restaurants are superb, and the grounds are stunning. You can walk for miles without encountering large resorts or crowds. We love the landscape in this part of Baja and appreciate how different it is from more touristy parts of Mexico. From the moment you pull into the gate, you feel at ease. This is a property we will return to year after year.

We came across this place after visiting The Green Room. We sat in the new outdoor bar while listening to live music. Was a very unexpectedly find. We only saw the outdoor bar which was surrounded by rows of lavender and beautiful structures with vines with flowers. The service was so friendly and drinks were so delicious! We also had a pizza and that was so good! Definitely recommend to visit.

A must visit when in Baja. A short 45 minute drive outside of Cabo. Matt and Jessica have create something of absolute beauty with their oasis! The pools, the horses, the food is all 5 star! They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect--whether a family get-away or a couples weekend! VSC is the place to go! Then the seafood and the sunset at their restaurant The Green Room are next level. You will not be disappointed!

We have been there four times and will keep going back. This place is so relaxing and beautiful. We love how the hotel is so private and quiet. The staff is so wonderful! Food at their restaurants is very fresh and unique. The beach is very vast and you will usually be all by yourself and can walk on it for miles.

This place is truly special in its own unique way. A short trip up from Cabo takes you to this very beautiful and peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of busy Cabo San Lucas. VSC gives you the feeling of being in an old Mexican beach paradise. This is a very relaxing place to unwind and just enjoy this resorts beauty and friendly staff. The food at the restaurants Green Room and Carcara is outstanding with the freshest ingredients coming from the very farm that is on the property. We will be returning to vacation here as much as we can. We absolutely love this place!

Google
one of the top hotels I have ever stayed at. The tents on the beach are a magical experience. With one text they come and light your bonfire at night, deliver coffee and cakes in the morning and the rate includes breakfast. The food and drinks are incredible. This is a very special hotel and I would return in a heart beat.

Yelp
Entire experience was exquisite. Hotel accommodations were 1st class, service was impeccable, food was 5 stars, everyone was nice and helpful. They even lite our beach bonfire nightly and brought us cocktails to the beach.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, next level seafood and cocktails! Enchanting Sunsets! A must when you are in Baja Sur! Family owned and operated by the nicest people you will ever meet!

Yelp
Great property, excellent farm to table food and exquisite service! Tented ocean villas are phenomenal.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous accommodations. Wonderful drinks at the pool by Aaron. Delicious, fresh food. Access to a quiet, expansive beach with no one on it, and very little built on it. Fabulous staff. We stayed here for three days and had a terrific experience. I would recommend this hotel and resort to anyone.

Yelp
The villa is stunning. We stayed in suite Familia and our young adult children stayed in suite Coco for three nights. We loved every minute of our stay! The beach, palapa, pool, hot tub at the perfect temperature, the little swim up bar, scrumptious breakfasts, on-site ATV rental, massages by the ocean, diligent hospitality... what's there not to love? We've traveled all over the world and the stay at the Villa exceeded our expectations. Spent a day in Cabo with water sports, went to Cerritos Beach (nothing to write home about...) and took the ATVs to town, about a 12-min ride and for miles and miles of sand on the beach. So fun! Fish tacos in town were great. Dinner at Green Room, fire pit front, on the beach enjoying the sunset is a must! Everything was so beautiful... our rooms were spectacularly clean, which is something I can't say for too many places, even those with 4 or 5 stars, made the Villa standout. Their house and ground sleeping staff are to be commended!! Tiled floors are so clean one can literally see them glitter in the light. Every detail is cared for here with intention and beauty. Staff are friendly and efficient. Already booked my return visit!

Yelp
Hidden Gem with great service and delicious breakfast. If you go to Todos Santos stay here!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Staff is out of this world, food and drinks are amazing, rooms are perfect. Right near the beach with breathtaking views. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Yelp
All in all the villa is outstanding and beautiful but if you don't rent out the whole thing with people you know, beware that you will be in very close quarters with other guests, for better or worse. This is a small boutique hotel with four guest rooms. The entire villa can also be rented out by one group. The property is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The large grounds are meticulously kept. Beach front property with ample privacy and not much beach traffic nearby so it feels secluded. Gorgeous pool and jacuzzi overlooking the beach. Cozy palapa with hammocks and cushioned seating makes for a great reading nook or whale watching post. Spacious roof deck with gorgeous 360 views and a fire pit in case it gets chilly. The owners are incredibly friendly and gracious. They did an impeccable job outfitting the villa with reclaimed wood doors, specially commissioned Mexican floor and bath tiles, and unique glass ceiling lamps. The rooms feel comfortable and up-to-date while still giving an old traditional Mexican style. Coffee or tea is delivered to your door by 7am. Breakfast is served each morning at a communal table between 8:30am and 10am. Lunch and dinner can be provided upon request for an additional fee. The lights are turned down and the villa put to sleep for the night at 10pm. Despite its many wonderful features, I do have some reservations about the place that would cause me to think twice before staying here again. There is a shared dining room and living room on the first floor that all guests may use. The villa's second floor is open looking down on the first floor, in addition to an open stairwell connecting the two, so sound carries VERY easily, especially because of the tile floors and lack of soft surfaces to absorb noise. Thus you are at the mercy of your fellow guests and their level of consideration and social grace as to whether noise will be an issue when you are sleeping in the morning or relaxing at night. If you like quiet, if you are a late sleeper, or if you like to go to bed before 10pm, you may not like this place. The hotel owners are fairly hands off and trust their guests to be adults. The owners could probably help manage the noise situation by suggesting guests be mindful of each other, suggesting "quiet hours" or encouraging guests not to use the first floor common areas between 9pm and 8am, etc. Guests are able to eat dinner at the villa through the use of a private chef ($60 per person). It would be courteous to let other guests know if some housemates have reserved a chef so they can choose to plan an evening out if they don't want to trip over the dinner party happening in their shared villa.
