Hotel W&P Santo Domingo

My experience at this hotel was mixed. The staff was very courteous and welcoming throughout our stay, and the restaurant was excellent , great food and service. Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. It was extremely loud, especially around 4 a.m., when we could clearly hear conversations above us, possibly from a staff or crew room. It made it very difficult to sleep. Additionally, there appeared to be ongoing water leakage from the bathroom ceiling, which required towels to manage the water. Given these issues, I’m not sure how this property maintains a 4-star rating. While the service and restaurant were strong positives, the room conditions and noise level significantly impacted our overall experience.

My boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel at 5:00 a.m. after coming from the club, intending to stay for one night only since we were leaving for Punta Cana the next day. Later that same day, the receptionist called and asked whether we would be checking out. We repeatedly explained that we had arrived that same morning at 5:00 a.m. She then informed us that because we arrived before the official check-in time (around 6:00 a.m.), we were required to check out at 12:00 p.m. or pay for an additional night. As a result, we were charged for two nights even though we only stayed overnight. At no point during the booking process did any staff member inform us of this policy, nor were we advised that waiting just one additional hour would have allowed us to be charged for only one night instead of two.

Rooms are very spacious. Good eye to details. Very clean. Breakfast was very good. We had a good time. Thank you!

Amazing hospitality all around! The only issue was the lounge on the 8th floor—it seemed understaffed and focused mainly on serving large groups. I had to get up and seek out service myself, which wasn’t ideal. That was the only downside to an otherwise excellent experience.

The Hotel is recently renovated, clean rooms and friendly staff. Would not mind going back. It’s perfect for business trips.

The room were ok, the ac wasn't working properly, Breakfast was good just they don't go above and beyond and I went to get Breakfast and for some reason the lady downstairs was really mean and wanted to charge me extra because I wanted to take my Breakfast upstairs assuming that I had already eaten, Even though is a buffet. She was guarding the food like it was hers. People in DR are just not very friendly or approachable in general most of them think that customer service is an inconvenience to them.

This hotel, apart from being beautiful and having an excellent location, is exceptional. I truly recommend it 100%. The staff's attention is exceptional. Leandro, one of the receptionists, is very kind and very polite. I will definitely return here on my vacation.

Most of their rooms have been updated. The new roo.s are fantastic. The old rooms bathroom did not look clean. Ask if the room has been updated for a great hotel with a fantastic breakfast
