Hotelito Azul Tulum

Really friendly staff. Alex especially helpful. Was a little slow checking in. Coffee at the shop was really good, but coffee they send to your room is not good. Loved the shower! Bed was comfortable but pillows a bit too stiff personally. AC worked great! We requested no cleaning service but did request water that we did not receive. I just went to lobby to get more water. Food at Olivia was delicious! The hammock outside our room needed repair. The beach area had lots of open very comfortable lounge chairs. Security was good.

A stunning hotel with breathtaking views and exceptional service. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights over NYE and it was the best NYE experience we’ve ever had. We were also very lucky to get upgraded to a sea-front room that was literally ten steps from the water. This felt like a real perk of having Expedia status, because a lot of hotels just ignore it. The staff, food and service are exceptional. Samantha the concierge speaks (at least) 3 languages and was available throughout the day. Both restaurants serve delicious, healthy food at a very high standard. It’s not every day you can get fresh ceviche, blackened shrimp tacos and hibiscus margaritas brought to your beach lounge chair. The restaurant staff were also incredibly kind and helpful (they saved us a fortune by telling us the real prices for things like cabs in the city). And Grizelda, the lovely cleaning lady even left us a little puppy made of towels on the last day 🥰 The hotel has a private beachfront plus a beach club that guests can use any time, day or night. There are also two rooftop pools and two rooftop hot tubs, all open to guests around the clock. The views from the pools and tubs are amazing. They also have a great gym with the latest TechnoGym equipment. One tip: there isn’t always food and drink service by the rooftop pools (at least there wasn’t during our stay), so I’d suggest bringing your own bottle of bubbles for sunset. We did that and got a “champagne in the hot tub at sunset” experience for £30 instead of the £300 you’d pay at the bar 😉

We were here a couple of weeks ago, and our stay here was absolutely amazing! The property is stunning, and we were able to get that jungle treehouse vibe without sacrificing comfort. The view from the rooftop is definitely a highlight of this hotel, and having coffee in a room with a jungle view was awesome. Furthermore, the best part about staying here is the people! All of the staff were so nice and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Special thanks to Griselda and Gerardo for making our stay extra special. Their warmth and hospitality truly stood out! I highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to come again!

We loved the hotel, located just outside of the noisy area of Tulum but close enough to walk everywhere. We had a room facing the beach, very comfortable beds and we loved it. Check in was a little challenging not a lot of information and hard to get in if you come outside of the office hours. But we loved it and want to come back next year

Small but cute hotel. Our housekeeper Griselda was great- cleaned well and made cute towel figurines. Sweet. Found our items that were left behind and brought them to the lobby for us. View of our room towards the ocean was u forgettable.

Griselda did such a great job cleaning our room and making swans made out of towels to celebrate our recent wedding. Beds were super comfy, location was prime in front of the beach. The parking was not ideal, as there is no where to wait and you had to be let into the parking lot. They definitely needed more staff there were times that I could not find anyone, but they were super nice and did the best they could. The coffee service was excellent. Would book again.

Great location, the rooms are steps away from the ocean. Woke up to the sound of waves every morning, loved it. The staff is amazing, not like typical slow service you get at other locations in Tulum, they go out of the way to please you here.

My wife, 8 yr old son and myself had a great and relaxing time at Hotelito Azul. The staff were very accommodating and helpful during our stay. I special shout out to Griselda, who cleaned our room exceptionally and always left some amazing/complex towel animals for our son (who's autistic and loved them). We also can't say enough about Geraldo, the doorman, who always had a big smile and was eager to help out anyway possible. We developed and good relationship with him, he made us feel at home, and we hope to return someday to reconnect and thank him again. We would definitely stay here again.
