"Hotline, the Outer Sunset restaurant with a steam table showcasing Korean-Chinese hybrid food called junghwa, is closing on October 16. Owners Eddo Kim and Clara Lee, who also own the popular Inner Sunset superette Queens, made the announcement via Hotline’s Instagram Monday, writing in part, “We’d be lying if we said we weren’t heartbroken.”" - Dianne de Guzman

"The duo behind the Inner Sunset Korean suprette Queens will head west with Hotline, a second restaurant taking over the former Boavida Cafe space near Ocean Beach. Expect steam pans of Korean mapo tofu; japchae; crispy mandoo; and jjajang, a thick gravy of black beans and pork served over rice. It’s a build-your-own plate situation, and while some seating will be available, the restaurant’s truly built for takeout with third-party delivery available." - Lauren Saria

We ordered gan jjajang, jjampong, tang su yuk. None of these taste right. Especially jjampong tasted awful. I cant believe that tang su yuk costs 20$ with this portion/quality. We could not eat more than 1-2 spoons of gan jjajang. It was a total waste of money.

Enjoyed the shrimp, glass noodles and tofu dish. Friends had several vegan choices. Very clean and hot food. Good beer and wine choices. Food is served in to go boxes so you can eat on site or take down to the beach. Good locals Taraval vibe, too.

The owners weren’t present today, and unfortunately the food quality control wasn’t there. The Mapa Tofu and the Yachae Bokkumbap was great, however the Gan Jja Jang was extremely salty today 🥲. Gan Jja Jang was my favorite the last time I ordered food from here. I’m giving 5 stars regardless because the owners of this place are one of the sweetest people I know in SF ☺️

Easy to order online and pick up at the window. Special lunch menu varies daily and good quality. Soft opening now but hopefully expand soon to more offerings & dine in option.

Really tasty food you won’t find anywhere else in the city, and very friendly owners. Also highly recommend the homemade sauces they sell at their store Queens.

Excellent Korean-Chinese food from the awesome masterminds behind Queens! We took it to go and ate at the Parklet across the street. So glad this is in the neighborhood.

As a local the food here was always rather sloppy and over priced. Despite a great location they never had any customers.
