Hou Hot Pot 厚火锅 & 极 Extreme Ji Chinese BBQ

Went here on a whim a few weeks ago with my girlfriend, and we were absolutely thrilled with the experience. Really kind staff and amazing food. All of the meat was perfectly cut, vegetables portioned well, and we haven’t been able to stop thinking about those wood ear mushrooms - so delicious!! The spicy beef tallow broth was unbelievably delicious, but I’d highly recommend doing half-and-half. Really made our night special, highly recommend :)

It is one of the best chinese restaurant in time square that served good type of hot pot. my mom and my granny enjoyed their food. it is one of the must visit in town. Special shoutout to the service of Eleina and Joyce for making us feel welcomed. they treated us with kindness and felt us we are a family. will definitely come back when my sister comes here in June 2026

Hou Hot Pot offers 4-star food, excellent 5-star service, and a comfortable 4-star atmosphere. While the setting is simple, the friendly and attentive service from the two ladies truly shines, making the dining experience enjoyable and welcoming.

Just had dinner with friends at their soft opening, and honestly, the meats and veggies were impressively fresh. The hot soup base was the highlight for me—rich, flavorful, and comforting. The staff were attentive and always smiling, which made the experience even better. If you’re in the mood for authentic spicy hotpot, this spot is definitely worth trying. Oh, and the tomato soup base was surprisingly good too.

Elaina at Hou Hot Pot is amazing!!! This is by far the best hot pot I have been to and it's not in chinatown. The inside of the restaurant is clean, organized, and the details of the interior design is stunning. Best vibe.

We had the duo Hot-Pot at their new location. The ambiente was truly beautiful, the service so nice and attentive! They helped us battle the spicyness haha. The food was amazing, 10/10 experience.

Nice people, and a new venture on soft open. Mushroom vegan broth was great, even for big fans of spicy, hot broth was a challenge. Lots of offbeat options that I assume are traditional, though as a novice it was a bit challenging to navigate menu. My only recommendation is to order 2x what you think as portions were small. My only suggestion is to make it a little bit more accessible for the novice with some preset options of multiple menu items.
