Houlihan's

We tried this place for an early dinner and caught the Happy Hour. We were greeted as soon as we entered by one of the servers. We decided to sit at the Bar which was open seating. We order some Houlihan’s Famous ’Shrooms, which were cook to perfection and very delicious. We ordered Chicken Wings, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings and split The "Big Cheese” Burger. The food was all prepared fantastic and tasted so delicious. We ordered some drinks, an Espresso Martini, Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Martini and a Beer. They do have one of the best Happy Hours in town. $3 domestic drafts, $4 craft drafts and great deals are Martini's and Wines. We enjoyed the Server Conner who was very attentive and helpful. The food runners were nice as were the Hostess. We will be returning again and again.

I happened to drop by to redeem my $15 birthday gift voucher during happy hour, so it made my birthday meal even happier. The Pink Elephant cocktail was delightful, with the aroma and flavor of passionfruit. The special egg rolls were recommended to me. They were hearty and I loved that they came with two dipping sauces, queso and creamy horseradish. The 4 oz filet seems tiny at first, but it was more than sufficient. I would rather have the option of it on the menu but paying less, as well as the choice of paying more for a larger serving. The medium rare filet was smoky and tender. But if you're faced with a choice between potato souffle and mashed potatoes, don't spend extra. It's nothing special and I probably would have enjoyed the mashed potatoes more. It was a good meal and I enjoyed it, despite being seated between two large and active tables and a child that twirled next to my table throughout my meal.

Early dinner here and the food overall was good. The stuffed chicken was just okay, but the sautéed spinach was a hit. The Kansas City burger was absolutely AMAZING, easily the best thing we tried. The kids’ meals were a good portion and well-priced. We also enjoyed the happy hour menu - the Mai Tai was pretty nice! Total was around $70 for 4 people.

I had my baby shower here on February 8th! Julia helped me with all of the planning! She was amazing! We had the entire front area! We had about 45 guests. She accommodated everyone. We had to the best waiters! Our baby shower wouldn’t have been possible without these 5 people! Jordan Dylan Carmen Muhammad Julia-party host!

Our visit to Houlihan's was wonderful. Or food came out quickly and was prepared very well. My burger was cooked to perfection. My side salad was great, larger than expected. It was fresh and very enjoyable. Our server Emily was great!! She was very attentive and kept our drinks full and offered service with a smile. We will be back!

I was grateful to be greeted by the host with her pleasant attitude. We shared some light conversation and a bit of humor while I waited for my friend. She was gracious enough to prepare a table for me while I stepped away to the restroom. Once my friend arrived, we were promptly attended to. The server was kind and patiently waited while we looked over the menu. She even made a helpful suggestion. I had the white bean salad, which was delicately prepared. I loved the culinary presentation of the dish. I settled on the fish and chips; the food was crisp and served warm. We sat and talked for a good 30 to 45 minutes after eating, and it was satisfying to know we weren’t rushed out the door. This was my second experience at this restaurant, and the staff never disappoints. Thank you!

Great restaurant with great good and outstanding friendly service. Our server, Destiny Heiman, was superb. Very professional, super friendly, very efficient, and served our needs in a very timely fashion. She had a complete knowledge of the menu. Very quick service- we did not have to ask for anything. Her smile and laughter makes for a great meal. We will be requesting her from now on.

By far one of the best places i’ve had in a while! The stuffed chicken changed my life it was to die for! Staff was sooo very nice our waitress was so sweet kept checking on us and refilling our drinks. So worth it :)

What an amazing experience and Greg made it an absolute blast. His service was top notch and overall a 5 star experience First off the sweet tea is awesome. I need to find out where to get their mugs because theyre heavy and absolutely awesome The eggrolls are absolutely amazing and sauces are great and tasty For my entree I had the meatloaf and hands down that is the best meatloaf I've ever had. Compliments to the chef because the flavors are strong and blend well. I had green beans and mash potatoes and it Complimented the dish well. The place is like a more sophisticated chilis or closer to the feel of a steakhouse. Its very pleasant and when I went 4pm Monday it was very quiet and peaceful. Had an absolutely wonderful experience. I will definitely be back.

Great Happy hour menu hours and the prices! I have not had their dinner in years, but they're happy hours is great as well as the customer service if you sit in the bar. I can't stop getting the Thai chicken wings.

On the opposite side of Dallas to see the grand and traffic headed back to Arlington was a disaster. We decided to take the "scenic" (and expensive I might add), route home and hunger set in. Stopped here because we used to eat here all the time when we lived in Rowlett. Anyhow there was an issue with having a server at first but once that was rectified it was smooth sailing. Nathan was our server and he was great. Hubby ordered his old time favorite here with the meatloaf served on mashed potatoes and green beans. He said it was every bit as good as he remembered. I did the same and ordered the stuffed chicken breast with fries and added a cup of French onion soup. Everything was excellent. Ended up adding an espresso martini and left happy and feeling good. Would most definitely recommend this place is you are ever in the Firewheel area of garland.

Houlihans is one of my go to places for lunch. Love the salmon and potato soup. Update 5/30: Diana was a great server. Very attentive. The new seasonal crab stuffed shrimp and risotto was amazing. They need to put this on the main menu.

OMG!!! I don't 5-star lightly but I would honestly give 6 stars to the meal I just here if I could. Incredible! Got seated right away, food came quick and was amaaaazing!!! Seriously the best ranch dressing ever made, too. And our server Emily was awesome!

Once again, I'm here to celebrate my birthday. While we come here throughout the year, we always enjoy the all day prefix meal. You get an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for one fixed price. It's one heck of a deal. The manager is Jordan and he is always helpful. Our server today was Erin G. I highly recommend asking for Erin. She is very friendly and efficient. She is attentive without being bothersome. Come and enjoy. Don't miss this opportunity.

As expected it was busy with the holiday. I made a reservation and when I arrived, they were about 15 minutes behind. We were directed to the bar to wait, which was fine. I ordered the Mai Thai which was very good. Our server was phenomenal, very upbeat and pleasant. I ordered from the Valentine's Day menu: the Blackened salmon, which wasn't blackened at all. I think it was undercooked to be honest. Everything else - potato souffle, brussel sprouts, appetizers - crab & shrimp dip, prime rib egg rolls were absolutely delicious. My guest ordered the twin filet mignonettes & enjoyed the meat as well. Based on the experience, I would recommend & return. I would not order the salmon though.

We have enjoyed this place. The ambiance is always nice. Yesterday, we stopped in for a quick cold beverage and were surprised by the HH portion of spinach dip ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just over 1/4 cup with so many chips! It was HH pricing, but I would rather have paid the extra few $$ for the entire portion. I'm curious about the size of the whole portion. The lettuce wraps were tasty! The beer wasn't very cold, so I had water! The bartender was kind and took great care of everyone at the bar.

Had a great dinning experience the server was on top of things and two Managers checked on us from time to time. The food was delicious. Thank you for your efforts.

8/23/24: We came by for Happy Hour and sat at the bar. Kyle was bartending and he was super busy. The restaurant was warmer than usual. It took a few minutes for Kyle to get to us, but he was very friendly, and he recognized us from a prior visit. I had a draft beer and my wife had a Pink Elephant, and a Grapefruit Jalapeño Martini. We ordered a cheeseburger with fries and some lemon pepper wings with fries. The food didn't take long to come out, and it was hot and fresh. Kyle kept checking on us, and we had a couple of more rounds. We had a great time there, and Kyle was an awesome host and bartender.

Let's start with me saying that their happy hour is great when it comes to price. Having said that, the food wouldn't be quite worth the cost if I wasn't ordering off of the happy hour menu. The food is par and for happy hour it's great! The service is great, friendly, and the ambiance in the evenings is nice because they have fire pits and a big patio. The facility is nice as well. I will definitely revisit happy hours but outside of that I don't know if I would go during non-happy hour times. The dumplings were the best thing that I've tasted off of the appetizer menu. Well I'll keep it brief, ok now, bye bye then.

The service was friendly and speedy! The food was delicious as well! I was surprised because I just popped in after shopping and did not have high expectations. Will come back!

I know, I know...but I have dined at the Garland location several times now and just can't seem to find anything to really complain about. Houlihan's is great for a date night, family dinner or lunch after church. Typically, we start with the bacon wrapped shrimp (deeeelish!) and Houlihan's has brought their amazing Prime Rib back!!! The Fish and Chips is outstanding and plenteous for a massive appetite (teen son) and the specialty drinks are always yummy. I intentionally left the service for last...my parents are elderly and it is becoming more and more difficult to find restaurants that cater to the elderly. Houlihan's always has amazing service and truly considerate to their patrons. Applause, Applause everyone!!

I didn't eat any food this time around. This visit was my first since COVID. I must say the spirit of the bartenders have declined since I last remember. I believe two things make a good Happy Hour-food and drink options at affordable prices and two-the care and vibe from the bartenders. A good bartender will have you drinking more because of the conversation, care, and attention to the crowd. This place lost that. My bartender was slow and inattentive and the place was not busy at the time. He really was just there putting in his hours.

Went here for a Sunday happy hour with a good friend of mine. $5 lemon drops that were nice and strong, our server was decent, the vibes were super chill. Will be back 100%! Highly recommend for a Sunday happy hour. A rare find but a life saver!

First thanks to the patrons that warned us about the fruit fly infestation near the front windows on the. parking lot side. The wait staff was kind of impersonable but wanted to ensure we remembered his name (he's forgettable), but his name was ROCK solid) pun intended. The ambience is always quite nice and the restrooms clean. The new menu very nice and tasty, no shrooms this time but they are one of our favorites. Other than the fruit fly's we manage to have a good experience.

Since I've picked up many DoorDash orders from here, I thought it must be pretty good... Unfortunately, that was not the case. We had at least 3 different appetizers, entrées & desserts, but not a single item stood out. Luckily we had a great server that was very attentive. Other than that, nothing made us want to come back for more!

Ordered the Prime Rib French Dip the au jus was watered down brown gravy and the meat was so cold we didn't know how the cheese was melted. We sat at the bar and the Bartender was nice enough, but the Shiner on tap was flat, which he acknowledged. The place looked clean.

Karen was the best server; we had a large party for a birthday party. The food and drinks were delicious. We got calamari and spinach dip as appetizers and it was to die for. I tried the white sangria and it didn't disappoint. I got the grilled chicken wrap with sweet potato fries and I'm so glad I did, it was delicious! I can't wait to go back.

Received my order and it was wrong. Three meals all way over cooked and almost burned. Extremely disappointing for $80....im done ordering from here.

We were a very large party on a random weekday months ago, despite that, our server Nicole was on her game! She was attentive, fun, provided recommendations on meals, nice to the kiddos in our group- just perfection. I had been meaning to write a review for awhile and found the little dining card with her name (those work!). Also our food was great!

This location is very convenient at the Firewheel town center. We like the patio when the weather is pleasant. We have consistent service and great food every time we come. The restrooms are fully stocked, but room for improvement in their cleanliness in the women's restroom.... The inside of the stall door and walls were gross and the floor was sticky, which makes for a not so pleasant experience. The food is great, although we miss the Parmesan frites. Their house and caesar salads are delicious.

We were looking for something casual and not over priced around firewheel. 730 on a Friday - no issue getting in and service was spot on. So friendly, attentive and no pressure. He wanted the lettuce wrap app and I wanted shrimp so we got both. The spicy shrimp was exactly what you would get anywhere. Good. But, the lettuce wraps were fantastic. Normally, we like minced and spicy. But, thess had large chunks and a sweeter sauce. Soo.... Good. Happily have two sets of them. My dinner was the sea scallops, large portion. The cook wasn't super even but they still tasted good and the risotto was flavorful. He got the french dip, which we had low expectations. We love a good Chicago style and usually the meat is too thick or bread too thin or terrible ratio of meat to bun. This was perfect. Crusty bread which didn't get too soggy, good ratio of bun to meat and shaved thin. The horseradish sauce was good enough to dip fries in it. Overall, how can you go wrong.

The atmosphere is great, nice quiet and private booths. Food was outstanding and the best part is you can order half portions which is really nice for a lot of people.

Ehhh. I only had the "spicy" chicken & avocado egg rolls for lunch. It's not really spicy chicken and more like bbq chicken. Barley any avocado and they were cold. Not happy with the service or food. My water cup was insanely filthy as well. I probably won't come back to eat here nothing special.

This is our local go to place for its food and drinks. Everything was always great until the evening on Fri 6/2. First there wasnt a sign for happy hour area seating, so we got charged full price for our 2 drinks. Then we asked for the desert to go and we got a brownie instead of cheesecake. 2 people 2 drinks 2 meals at 635pm The Manager came over to show us the "Fine Print" on the last page of a pleather menu tucked behind the ketchup/pepper holder. Stating where the happy hour seating was located. The manager didnt give us a discount or offered us anything for our potential future visit.

We have been coming to Houlihans for 15 years and we have enjoyed getting to know the staff over the years. We have loved the food and community at this location. Jordan P. Is one of our favorites! He has mastered crowded patio's, worked the bar and the floor and he always has a smile! He is excellent!! He even recommended the crab dip which we LOVE!! The food here is great and the team is fabulous! We will be back next week!

Came here on Christmas day with my grandpa because it was one of the only places we could get reservations. I have never tried this place before so had no idea if it would be good. First off, all the staff were amazing. Our reservation was at 4pm which is also the time they closed, but a staff member called us to confirm the reservation and assured we wouldn't be rushed through our meal. At the restaurant, our server was friendly and had such a cheerful attitude. Everyone made it a great experience. For the food, we both got the all day fix for $22.99 which included an appetizer, entree and dessert. There was so much food we ended up taking the dessert and half the entree home so its a good deal. We also got the calamari which we both enjoyed but we don't eat it much so are no experts. The house salad had shredded lettuce which I wasn't a fan of but thats just me. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. Garlic green beans were crunchy and seasoned well. The mashed potatoes were too salty for me but I still ate them anyways. Lastly, cheesecake was soo tasty! My grandpa also enjoyed his meal with his favorite being the baked potato soup. We are so grateful for his place making our Christmas experience a good one and the staff members for working the holiday.

Where do I start... the bartender only talks to the people he knows. Finally flagged him down to order after 15 minutes. The wings came out over cooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside and doughy. The nachos were made with canned chickens and a bunch if unnecessary toppings And apparently I was not cool enough to ask if I needed anything else, how the food was or receive silverware. The drinks were good( earned the 2 stars) Safe to say I wont be back here.

Interestingly this is one of my favorite go to's, today however I experienced very unique service or lack there of. I was seated quickly, the restaurant was brisk but no overrun with guests however I sat for roughly 10-12 minutes with waitstaff all around me and not engaged even for a beverage order. I waited until it had been 15 minutes with no engagement and I stepped out to take a business call. After my call I stepped back in and the gentleman that seated me asked if I had ever been approached after seated, I said no....Then another young man rushed up and immediately attempted to apologize and explain he had a 12 top upstairs and it was really messing with his mind??? He assured me it was all his fault and he was not purposely ignoring me.... I explained that I did not think it was ignoring but rather poor staffing. I asked for a card for the general Mgr. I was informed there were no cards but Her name was Carmen and just call the restaurant and ask for her, he even said please tell her it was all his fault??? Several of these comments from the server were odd, I am sure earnest in thought but very lacking to someone who frequents the location for business lunches/dinners. Very unfortunate all around. So alas no food was had today at this establishment and will most likely not be on my list any further. As shown the Corp. PR person did reach out, Mr. Deegan and I actually spoke on the phone. I explained I was not looking for free food or special treatment In this instance. I was reviewing the lack of service that I received and that I did not feel I could in good conscience return to this location. Again he offered to send my vouchers for dining but that will not correct poor staffing or my feelings about the location in question. I do applaud his reaching out none the less.

Food, atmosphere and staff are always spot on... shout out to our favorite server Jordan P, bartender and all around great ambassador for Houlihans!!! He always has a great smile and brings a special touch to your visit!!! And the new crab dip is to die for

We grew up going to Houlihan's at NorthPark Mall in the 1980's so we were thrilled to find this location. Our server was Carren and she was amazing! So friendly and very helpful with menu sections. Same delicious Famous Mushrooms - just like I remember. We went for a date night and sat on the lovely patio. It happened to be Happy Hour so we ordered lots of small plates to share. Everything was delicious. Dave, one of the managers stopped by our table and he was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

I loved my unexpected visit to this Houlihan's! The Shrooms were perfection of an appetizer; right amount of outer fried crisp and a nicely tender inner texture! I love the use of dark stained wood for the atmosphere. Rachel is the most reliable and personable server. She's refreshing with her honesty whether about food delays or her recommendations while not giving her guests any undesirable pressure.

This place was absolutely wonderful . Kyle was our waiter and he was an absolute joy to be around . The food was fresh and hot and just the atmosphere in general was a delight to be in. 10/10 , I will for sure be back !

Dropped in for lunch with a buddy. We both had the Seared Ahu Tune Salad, and it was terrific!!. The place was clean and our lunch was great. Our server was Rachel. She topped of the meal with a pleasant and happy attitude.

Hiulihans is extremely underrated. Been at Firewheel since it opened and has consistently slapped for over 10 years. Stuffed mushrooms? Amazing. Flavored teas? Delicious. Cocktails? On point. Salmon? Perfect. Salad and soups? Phenomenal. Honestly everything is great, you can't go wrong.

We had Rachel again for our lunch time server and as usual she was wonderful. Funny, attentive and fast! She makes the time to talk with you and makes you feel like you're home. The food was great and hot! C&J

The staff does not have good customer service skills and the managers are rude and unprofessional... My family and I went to Houlihans located in the firewheel mall area in Garland and we were not pleased. The staff was not friendly and it took them a while to notice that my family and I were waiting to be seated. The waitress didn't do a good job with her service. And I was shocked when I tried to change my food order and a guy came from the kitchen and rudely told me that I couldn't change my meal without providing payment for the first meal he had already prepared. I will be reporting this restaurant and my family and I won't be dining there again.

Rachel, in Garland did a great job. Friendly, positive and very attentive. The food was really good. We had the soup and salad combo. Excellent.

I love Houlihan's! Every single time I've been has been a great experience! I took my friend out to lunch for her birthday and she lives right down the street from the Firewheel location in Garland. As always, the restaurant is stylishly decked out. I love the lantern vignette on the ceiling! They have cool decor and a really lovely ambience. Our server was very friendly, had great recommendations and was very attentive. The lunch menu is awesome. We started with lettuce wraps which are some of my favorites. They are served with lettuce leaves, wonton strips, yummy chicken and a tangy and tasty sauce. I loved the drinks that they had on special, my friend got one of the tiki cocktails and it was really delicious not to mention adorable in the little tiki cup. My niece got a blueberry mojito which is really delicious as well. We all had a really hard time deciding what to get because there were so many options to choose from on the menu! For lunch I got the salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans served with a dill sauce. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was so flavorful! I was so happy with my meal. So. GOOD! My friend had the baked potato soup and ahi tuna salad and my niece had soup and a caesar salad. Everything was delicious! We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and probably over ate because it was so dang delicious. It was a great experience and I am definitely looking forward to coming back for more Houlihan's awesomeness.

The hostess was a bit scrambled, but our server was great. Had the French onion soup, it was excellent. Also very reasonably priced. The French dip was really good.
