Just arrived home from our wonderful stay at the fabulous House of Agnes. Everything was just perfect. Upon arrival we pulled into the car park and had our own EV charging point, and went to reception. We were greeted by a lovely staff member who explained what to expect at our stay . The building, which is hundreds of years old is full of charm and character. We were led to our lovely & modern apartment, which is in a small row with its own part of the garden. A comfy bed ,good shower and drink making facilities. A big communal garden just opposite, perfect for soaking up the evening sunshine. The location is perfect for exploring Canterbury"s delights of which there are many. A fabulous stay made perfect thanks to the House of Agnes. Can't thank you guys enough !!

Room: Mumbai. If you're looking for quaint, this is it--and this is exactly what we wanted to experience. The stairs up to the second floor are crooked, and uneven, and you have to be careful--but you are getting what you should from such an old building. That said, there's no reason that the modern plumbing in a highly rated hotel shouldn't work right. Our shower drained extremely slowly, and you had to stand in the dirty/soapy water for several minutes while the water was off, just so it wouldn't spill out into the rest of the room. If this shower had been thoroughly cleaned before we arrived, the housekeeper would/should have noticed. We chose not to report this during our stay because we didn't want plumbers marching around our room to address something that should have been dealt with before. The Venetian blind in our room were a mess, and need to be thrown in the rubbish and replaced. I advice the owner(s) to sleep a few nights in each room and see what their rooms are like. The day time hostess was not fun to deal with as she came across as defensive and confused. The night host---he was much more friendly and relaxed. The lounge has an honor-system bar, so that was nice. The large yard out back is also a nice place to chill out. Note that the people who hang around the street in this part of the town are loud and boisterous, and at night we heard several loud arguments and an actual fight.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this charming B&B last month in one of the “Stable Rooms “. The building and grounds are charming and ooze British History from centuries ago. The Inn includes a daily made to order breakfast and the location is ideal for walking to most of the attractions, restaurants and pubs in historic Canterbury. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We would certainly stay here again. Our only fault with our room is that there was no room to accommodate a comfortable chair to sit in.

Very happy to give a big 'thumbs-up' to the House of Agnes. From our arrival to departure everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had stable room number 7 and it was fresh, clean and very comfortable. Other reviewers have mentioned the nearby railway line but I can honestly say it was barely noticeable and certainly did not affect us having a good night's sleep. The breakfast was of superb quality, especially the sausages. So much so, we went over the road to the butchers (the b&b suppliers) and bought eight links to take back home. A lovely stay and would highly recommend.

Very quiet and beautiful yard away from the hustle and bustle of the very busy town just outside the gate. Wonderful breakfasts in a historic hotel. Room was in the annex and was modern, large, and quiet. I can't recommend this wonderful B&B enough!

We booked an overnight stay in the Mumbai room. The B&B is an ideal location for the city centre. The building is gorgeous with a secure car park at the back. The room was beautifully decorated with an incredibly comfortable bed. There was a lovely bar area with comfortable chairs as well as a secluded garden. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious; including fruit, yoghurts, toast, pastries and a fully cooked breakfast. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning.

Took a side trip to Canterbury to visit the Cathedral, and this 15th century boutique hotel was a pleasant surprise. We were cordially greeted by Lorna at the reception desk. We had previously asked for a room with a bath, and initially she said it was not available. But checking further with housekeeping, she managed to move us at a small price increase. She was also happy to recommend a terrific wine store, specializing in English sparkling wine, plus a way to enter the Cathedral for a morning service, despite being closed 3 days for" staff training"! Our room was comfortable and quiet, even though only a 6 minute walk into the town center. Breakfast was typically English with abundant choices. If you arrive by train, it's only 2 blocks to Canterbury West. This is "the" place to stay in Canterbury.

A lovely, traditional B&B with all it's charm and character left in place! This B&B is sweet, cosy, warm and goes the extra mile by providing all the essentials for free such as tea, shampoo and conditioner, soap, biscuits and also an umbrella, which came in very useful when it rained on our trip! Breakfast here is a great as there are a few options to what you can have. The rates for this B&B were great considering Canterbury is so popular! It was a really nice play to stay and I would recommend it to anyone!
