House of Blues Cleveland

Had an amazing night at House of Blues Cleveland for the Rewind Tour: 2000s Rave, and the place was completely sold out. Cleveland definitely understood the assignment. First off, shoutout to the Live Nation team and House of Blues staff. When a venue is packed wall-to-wall, things can get chaotic, but the team kept everything running smoothly and professionally. From load-in to showtime, the staff were helpful, organized, and clearly know how to handle a big crowd. The venue itself is one of the iconic stops on the Live Nation circuit. House of Blues Cleveland has that perfect mix of rock-and-roll history and modern production. You walk in and instantly feel like you’re at a real music venue, not just another club with speakers. Major credit to the sound and lighting engineers. The sound system was powerful and clean all night, and the lighting matched the energy of the music perfectly. When you’re throwing a 2000s rave throwback, the sound and lights have to hit right—and they absolutely did. Also, Cleveland crowds don’t play around. The dance floor energy felt like it was straight out of the Y2K rave era—hands up, singing along, and a few people probably realizing they’re not 21 anymore but still dancing like it. Overall, incredible night. House of Blues Cleveland and the Live Nation crew delivered a top-tier experience, and the sold-out Rewind Tour crowd made it unforgettable. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Came here to see a band and was absolutely stunned with the performance and distance between the stage and audience. Security check in only took a few minutes. Bar and merch stands were accessible. And the performers and crew members really made the show. Thanks HOB for putting these events together. Loved to come back here for more shows in the future.

Loved the venue for shows. Drinks were a little overpriced and watered down. In between sets, one of the security staff members was rude and swearing to a patron/attendee and was very disruptive and rude. Other than that, for my first time here, it was fun!

I really enjoyed my experience at House of Blues! The location is very convenient, and the staff were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the evening. Everything was clean and well-maintained — from the furniture to the restrooms. The club’s themed interior design is beautiful and creates a great atmosphere. The balcony seating was very comfortable, and most importantly, the sound quality was excellent — crystal clear, no echo. The lighting effects were also fantastic. I would definitely recommend this venue! One small note: please check the cleanliness of the ice machines at the bar. I ordered one drink with ice and unfortunately suffered from food poisoning that night. Before and after the concert I didn’t eat or drink anything else, so I believe this was the cause. Thank you for a wonderful show!

One of my least favorite music venues in Cleveland. The sound and view both suck if you're not towards the middle of the the pit or the premium balcony seats. Fees and drink prices are outrageous. Sometimes you have to go there to see a band but it's not a great experience. The restaurant is surprisingly decent and more reasonably priced when it's open before shows.

Went to see Leon Thomas on 12/02 and had a ball! the floor was clean and neat, bartenders were quick and efficient.

Great venue. The staff was helpful and courteous. The seating was as best as could be expected. The sound system was clear and not overdriven. Only complaint would be to position the front stage monitors so the front few rows view is not obstructed.

Caught a Thievery Corporation show on a Monday night. This is truly an Intimate venue. Excellent staff. I suggest Grabbing bite and a drink at the restaurant before the show.

Not a bad seat in the house. We choose the upstairs area. Went to see the band Cartel with two openers: Landon Conrath and Hunny. Enjoyed all three. Several bar areas so the lines were not bad. Clean bathrooms!!

The Experience seeing Tye Tribbett was electric. This energy was felt through the crowd. As far as the venue itself I had an amazing time having access to the foundation room, giving us access to the roof top and a private bar. While there I did not try the food. This can be an amazing vibe for a date night or just a great time in general.

I've been to The House of Blues so many times over the years and I personally enjoy it. I think the staff from the security to the wait staff are always friendly and helpful. I have had tickets in the balcony which is nice if you're going to a more relaxing show but I typically get standing room floor tickets. They also offer VIP seats behind the stand room floor area. Standing room can get pretty packed but there is usually space in the back to get some extra breathing room. The drinks at the bar tend to be a bit pricey but what you'd typically expect from a concert venue. The drink selection is fine - I would prefer more craft beer options but they do carry PBR which I enjoy from time to time. They also have some food options more than just popcorn and pretzels. I typically get the chicken tenders which average but it's nice to have actual options for food.

Absolutely fantastic venue to take in a concert or show! It's a smaller venue, but even general admission gets you close to the action. Do yourself a favor and eat at the restaurant attached to the venue, show them your tickets, and you will get into the event before the rest of the people queueing up outside will! Food is New Orleans style, so get ready to feast on excellent gumbo and jambalaya! Service is what you'd expect if you were down in NOLA..friendly and prompt!

Great time! Nice staff! Great acoustics! Tori Kelly was amazing! I didn't eat there but they do have a few bars.

As an avid concert goer, this venue is lower on my list of favorites-- and I'll tell you why. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE a standing-room only venue... but in order to get an unobstructed view, you really need to be front and center. There is very little room for folks to make their way to the bar/ restroom when it's a sold-out, full house. The acoustics were also not the best, as the chatter of the crowd overpowered the instrumentals + lyrics of both the headliner & the main act. As far as ambiance goes--I quite appreciate the architecture & eclectic art scattered throughout the music hall. I can certainly appreciate the charm of this venue, & golly is it fun to attend a concert when it's snowy!

I didn't know they could hold events here. Went to a two hour conference here for our business this weekend. It's a unique space for a conference for sure. Spacious enough for the conference and to accommodate for break out sessions too.

I visited before the Sir concert. I ordered the legendary burger it came out fast and hot. The bartender let me order a drinks to take into the venue. If you don't in before the concert and spend 25.00 yin can enter the venue from inside and skin the line.

We had Hamburgers and fries in the VIP lounge which were simply delicious, our service was excellent and the ambiance was calming and friendly. The music was R&B and soul that capped off the night. We had an amazing time.

Amazing line up of shows and events, decent prices and an asset to the city! A+ Hope to visit again soon!

After I attended a comedy show I decided to try out the come try house of blues after hearing about it for so many years. I have always heard great things about this place but never been until recently. I ordered the jambalaya and cornbread and I immediately fell in love with this dish. I sure hope it tastes the same in other locations as well. Btw the cornbread is undefeated !

I love house of blues because Madison Beer performed her EP called As She Pleases in 2018 and I went there and she was amazing. She deserves better and I'm hoping for her next tour the spinning tour that is better than As She Pleases, and she performed as she pleases Song

Looks like a cool place but $15 for a beer???!!!! The gal at the bar looked really unhappy. Maybe lower the price and the waitstaff would actually sell more drinks and get more tips. No wonder the bar was empty.

I never dreamed I'd have the opportunity to visit this iconic location, and it did not disappoint! It doesn't seem like too much from the exterior, but nestled in the heart of Cleveland. Gorgeous buildings encompass the block- and yes, there is generally a line outside. Inside is a whole nother world... different theaters, levels & hidden corridors! It was actually extremely easy to get lost. ...I did. Had to text my companions several times as we didn't know the difference between rooms & one of us found the "speak easy" themed- WOW! The decor in each room is amazing. There are multiple bars, food offerings are a notch above. Depending on what you are visiting for, there is a grand stage for some pretty amazing shows. But also the lounge areas for a more mingling environment. One in particular, you really get that 1930's vibe and it's almost on another level. I was in absolute awe of the architecture & decor here. The staff were all incredibly accommodating, happy to answer questions or help guide. Excellent selection at the bars- they can & will make just about anything requested. The food was also melt in your mouth for the event I attended. Didn't matter what cuisine- it was ALL good! The bathrooms were also decorated beautifully. Entire facility was cleanly & just gorgeous. This is a place you do not want to skip, especially in town for a visit. It's a must, especially if there is a good show to attend! There just isn't any way you can go wrong with all there is to offer here- shows are almost a bonus because of how amazing the interior is laid out & decorated. Parking is tricky since this is downtown, so rideshare or drop off is recommended unless you find a parking lot/garage other than the nearby hotels. But, that was also a big perk if in town visiting- this is near many stay accommodations in downtown. And a short walk from many surrounding entities... like the chocolate factory across the street that was thankfully closed before we were able to go raid it, LOL! If you are in Cleveland & looking for not just a historic experience but also a good performance- you definitely want to put this on your list! I cannot wait to visit again.

Hot hot and spicy food and drinks! I loved the voodoo shrimp with jalapeño cornbread as well was the loaded fries with ....jalapeños. Decor is very cool, maybe what I would describe as blues folk art? Also Yelp needs to update their hours ..we went to this restaurant on a Monday.

When I was in the Cleveland area, I stopped by this restaraunt for food as it was one of the few areas that served lunch and had outdoor seating (we had a dog). The atmosphere was very nice outside. Inside the restaraunt, it was very decorative with many paintings. Our waitress was very friendly and understanding to our dietary needs. The food was good and I recommend to get the loaded fries and Brussel sprouts for the appetizers. For the main dish, I had baby back ribs. There were pretty good, and I liked how they were able to remove scallion from the meal. My family member ordered the steak, which was very good. One thing I do want to point out about the food was it was very seasoned, a little too spicy and salty. There are many restaurants that don't have salty or too seasoned food, and this restaraunt can certainly do that as well.

Pleasantly surprised by eating here. Staff was super friendly and eager to help. Excellent menu with very good variety. The crispy chicken sandwich was crispy, hot, and not soggy at all. Great flavor and the perfect crunch. Fries were crispy and hot and plentiful. My wife had garlic chicken pasta and we fought over who got to eat the last few bites. Very delicious and perfect portion size. Excellent energy and we left just as live music was starting in the back.

Great food, interesting venue and great service. There is a pretty decent menu, and the beer selection was great. We stayed for the concert and had a blast. The band sounded really good, it was easy to see the show. Lines were a bit long for drinks during the show, but the bathrooms were clean and it was easy getting out at the end. Overall, great venue. Perfect for large groups and events.

Dir En Grey blessed this city by having a show in the rockingness city in Ohio, CLEVELAND. And let me tell you: I haven't been to downtown Cleveland in like 6 years and wow this city is hopping. The location is SOOO convenient if you stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Less than 3 minutes away from the House of Blues. The wait wasn't bad since me and my friends only came out when the doors actually opened. We had security personnel and Cleveland Police checking and making sure the venue was safe for all the attendees. We got in fast and settled in comfortably since the stage was elevated. I LOVE THAT THE STAGE IS ELEVATED. We had some super tall people in front of us and we could still see clearly. I loved it. Once the show started, we could hear clearly and the lighting and technics were awe inspiring. 5 stars for a nice show!

Enjoyed a nice Friday evening with live music - open late until midnight. Service was great and the food was good too. Loved the ambiance. Nice little spot to stop by!

Went to a concert there for the first time and decided to have dinner before the show. What a HUGE disappointment! It took 20 minutes for someone to wait on us. I had to go to the hostess station to ask if someone could help, and the hostess, Angela, was very helpful and friendly. The server, Monique, finally came, only to realize that she had walked by us at least 10 times, and she said "Oh! I didn't see you sitting there!" What?? The food was decent, especially the Brussel sprouts! Went to the bar after dinner to kill some time and ordered an Espresso martini (15 bucks) and it had some sort of coffee grounds floating in it! Bartender apologized and re-made it properly. Music venue was pretty run down and dingy, but not terrible. Enjoyed the headlining act. Probably not going to eat there again.

I recently went here for a concert tor the first time in a few years. It did not disappoint! The check in was a quick and painless process. You get checked with a wand, empty your pockets and you're on to the ticket scanning. You then get your hand stamped for re-entry if you want to grab merch. Everyone was very welcoming. The staff were all very friendly and were informative. My friend and I had seats in the upstairs balcony and they didn't disappoint! The view was excellent, now that I've sat upstairs here and Myrtle Beach, it's more relaxing to have the option to sit in a chair a minute or two. We didn't have any food but did grab some waters. Those liquid death canned waters are everywhere!! Water is water, but those just hit different! Do note, you'll have to finish before leaving. A dietitian I saw did recommend volume hydration so I am just abiding by their rules! I had an awesome time. Excellent energy. Great staff. An extremely awesome ambiance. I'll be keeping an eye on their schedule for more shows in the future!

Me & my fiance came here for a live podcast show and really enjoyed the venue. The seating was comfortable and the show felt intimate. Our only complaint is that the venue did not specify the door opening time vs show time, so a ton of us showed up thinking it was show time and not the door time so they should really specify this.

My wife and I had a great time at HoB! Greg was our bartender and server. Super friendly and professional. Matt was a great host as well. Highly recommend HoB Cleveland for its food, staff and history!

The staff literally ruined the experience. They are all rude and have no sophistication whatsoever. I watched one of the security guards practically push people down a flight of stairs. On top of that, the venue is pretty dingy and run down. Having been to HOB in other cities, this one was a disappointment.

I would agree with most everyone. It's just okay. Eaten here 2x before shows at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Easy to make reservations. Very accommodating. They sat us in the corner of the room (which I like) and the server was prompt with information. The menu is varied with Cajun and creole type food. Kinda pricey in my opinion. But everything on East 4th is pricey. Ordered the shrimp po boy and my friend ordered the BBQ brisket. She hates spice and the bbq sauces ended up being spicy. My po boy was a lot of bread. Ok amount of baby shrimps and that's it. Veggies and pickles were not to last thru the sandwich. Fries were meh! Nothing special. Overall kind of an expensive meal and it was just blah. Service was prompt. Staff seemed nice and was accommodating but food is just not impressive. However, if you are in a pinch and need to eat someplace clean and easy before a show this could be your destination.

Attended the July 2019 Gospel Brunch in celebrating a family members birthday and it was quite a unique event with delicious grub. The ticket includes buffet style brunch service, which also included an omelette station, fresh chicken and waffles and and 90 minutes of live gospel singing. The lower level floor was arranged with dinning tables and the seats are assigned. They allowed 45 minutes for grabbing your food, eating socializing and then the show started. Audience participation is encouraged so lots of folks up out of seats burning off a few calories. As for the event and staff, they really earned these here five stars. The venue has a large staircase that leads to the lower level. A staff member saw someone in my party take a step down too slowly and cautiously and didn't to hesitate to help. He literally ran up the stairs and escorted us around the corner to the elevator and all the way to our seats. But that's not it, during the show the staff also provided table service for coffee and OJ and didn't hesitate to hype the audience up and jubilantly sing along (Not that stiff quiet type). Oh, and lastly I was able to share what we enjoyed about the show and explained that we were celebrating a birthday. This person took time to stop what he was doing and perform a quick serenade of Happy Birthday. We enjoyed it and will keep an eye out for other events happening here.

This is a really good venue for an intimate show. We saw the Songs and Stories show featuring Art Alexakis, Chris Collingwood, Max Collins, and John Wozniak last Thursday. This was my first visit, and apparently we were in 1 of the 2 theatres here. We were led down some steps and they had seats in front of the stage, and then there was general admission standing room in the upper area where the bars are. I also noticed, during the show, there were people in the balcony. We had reserved seats with a great view of the stage and enjoyed the show very much. The sound was good, and the staff did a good job of handling the drunkards. My husband had a beer, and I had a wine. Unfortunately, the only wine selections at the bar(s) are white and red. Canned. Yep, bad. I'll remember that next time.

I was visiting from Michigan and I had high hopes for this place since it was my first time going to a House of Blues establishment. Well the food was bland and the Gumbo was watery. I complained about it and the manager had a nasty attitude so I returned the soup and told him to remove it from my bill. The service from our waitress sucked, she never came to check on us. I'm disappointed and will never go back.

Had Steak with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked and wonderful flavor! Service was fast and friendly, the ambiance was pleasant with art and live music playing. Great dinner with friends, we stayed for hours after as friends tried lots of interesting drinks!

Not sure I understand some of the poor reviews on this one. I've been attending concerts here since high school, and I've always had a great experience. One of my favorite things about this venue is the fact that it can accommodate a lot of people but still feel intimate if you are sitting in the right place. My days of standing in GA are behind me, but I often purchase reserved seats. Grabbing a seat in Row A of the balcony can be quite spacious and low stress. You can stretch your legs out and still feel close enough to the stage to enjoy the band and see everything clearly. No music venue is perfect, but I like when my favorite bands play House of Blues. To me, HOB is way more personal than a sprawling arena but still buzzing enough. This location goes through ebbs and flows with programming, but so goes the competitive nature of Cleveland's venues. This House of Blues also has a great Foundation room and rooftop patio, but I'll save that review for another day!

Great meal before the Indians game! So glad HoB is open again! We were seated at a table outdoors when we arrived. Service was excellent and friendly! The beer was cold and burgers were tasty.

I am torn about this HOB. It is s great location in the heart of downtown. We walked from our hotel. It has a seedy punk club that I love! We saw Social Distortion. They were awesome. Thr crowd was really coolant friendly. The only complaint I have is that the ceiling is crazy low. It makes sight lines difficult and feels claustrophobic. It is underground which helps with that feeling. It is nothing like the other HOB venues. I had a great night.

Went in yesterday for the Sons of Apollo show. It was my second time there. I had tickets waiting at will call and the lady helping me couldn't have been nicer!! In fact all of the staff was very good. The decor, atmosphere and sound was awesome! I got up front and was feet away from the artists both times. Plus, I didn't go home with my ears ringing which usually happens at smaller venues. Awesome venue!!!

i came in at a huge suprise, i just had water but i think this water is revolutionar. the liquidity and fluidity of the water are both 10/10 +1. you could taste the low metal count because of its pureness. would come back for more water later.

We attended a Motion City Soundtrack Show here last month and all I can say is yikes. This venue is frustration incarnate for so many reasons and I've been meaning to write this review...once I found the right words. First, it is a beautiful building, like many of the House of Blues are. As a NJ native, I went to many shows at the former Atlantic City location. And both locations (one now defunct) suffer from the same conflicts: incredibly poor sight lines, muffled sound quality, filled beyond comfort, and offerings that are outrageously priced. The tickets here are not cheap; so, to expect someone to attend a show that they can't see (as a result of the poor construction of the balcony overhang) and can't head (unless you are next to the stage I suppose?) is a bit ludicrous. I anticipate that they present a less than savory concert experience so that you are forced to upgrade, at a cost. A good venue, however, would offer a great experience for all in attendance. I also found the venue to be uncomfortable crowded, from stage to lobby. I have been to hundreds of concerts; from dive bars to night clubs, I have experienced elbow to elbow crowds, but there has always been a way to find reprieve. Not here. I know they aren't exceeding capacity legally, but perhaps capacity should be revisited. I really, desperately want to see Bayside here in May, but I would be doing myself and the band a disservice to give my money to a place where the lead singer will sound like he's singing from across the country. And if I'm lucky, I might be able to see the guardrail around the stage. I should note, I am short, but my boyfriend is not at all. He experienced the same blocked sight from the bottom of the balcony.

This was my first time eating at the HOB. I think it will be my last. The first drink I got the was watermelon smash and it was delicious. However, I ordered a second one and when I took a drink, there was ibviou9something missing. So, I spoke to our server. The bartender then told her they ran out of mint. Well, the mint is what balanced everything. I find it a bit annoying that, I had to ask in the first place. So, we tried a few other drinks and none of them were up to par with the first smash I had. So, I settled on water and that was that. I had the calamari for an appetizer and it was pretty good. A bit on the spicy side, but the dipping sauce calmed that down quickly. For my meal, I ordered the shrimp and grits. I'm a huge shrimp and grits fan. These were not good at all. They made a patty out of the grits, grits were made with water. Then they put it on the grill and grilled it until crispy. The shrimp were big and plain. The sauce wasn't bad. There was just too much of it. Making the entire meal extremely watery. Too much sauce, not enough actual food for what I paid. Prices were a bit steep. $108 for 2 people. I don't think we'll be returning. I wasn't impressed with the meal enough to give it a second try.

Best venue I've been to! The vibes and people were great! The bartender was great the night mike dimes performed

I just had a delicious nachos dinner here at the House Of Blues in Cleveland. Andy was the best server!! She kept my drinks coming all night as I listened to a fabulous blues artist. Thanks Andy- you're the best!!!

My friend and I ate here tonight and had the best experience. She has a gluten allergy and they had a few really good options she could eat. I had the shrimp and grits and she had the blackened salmon. Both were perfectly cooked and tasted great!! Our waitress, Andy, was phenomenal! We are here listening to the live music and she made sure all of our courses were spaced out so we can really enjoy the music. We will be back!

Having staff members grab my fiancé by her hip and shoulder to move around is ultra unprofessional and when I mentioned it to another member of the staff they said "we can't do anything about it." Between this and the poor view of the show we traveled five hours to see really soured our experience.

I've always walked by and finally decided to try it out. First things first, the drink selection is not that great. I ordered the strawberry smash and my friend got a vodka soda with grapefruit and lemon. They brought us out two identical looking drinks, both with strawberries and one with lemons. I am 99% sure they put the lemons in the wrong one and have her my drink. We had to switch. The food selection was average, not too many "lunch" meals if you weren't looking to spend over $20. We all got the street tacos with house salad. The salad was amazing, but the tacos were bland. Not in any rush to go eat here again. But hey they gave us free show tickets and the presentation was nice.

I have always gone to the House of Blues for music events but never for the food. Just recently I was there attending the Press Club Awards Ceremony and had a blast. There was open bar where they served some great drinks. Also, the layout of how they had the tables truly fit with the atmosphere of the place. I was truly impressed. For dinner the wait service was great! I forgot to let them know ahead of time that I would need a vegan plate. So during the event, they went backed and made a speciality dish for me. Which I was so grateful for! The vegan option that I had, was so delicious! I know the next time I attend a concert or another event, I will make sure I have time to grab some food from here!

Took my mom here for Mothers Day (Saturday night) before I took her to see Journey. She had a great time. Our server was amazing, drinks were great and the food was great! For us, house of blues is somewhere we dont go too often and it didnt disappoint. Best time to go (if you can) is right when they open, we went at 4pm and we beat the rush. Will be back. Oh also, they accept reservations, MAKE THEM

My boyfriend and I recently saw Bryce Vine and the concert was great. Not only was the music good, the security there was awesome. We called ahead of time because my boyfriend was getting surgery on his knee and was going to be in a wheelchair at the time of the concert and Laurie got back to us right away and made the proper accommodations. Security was on it the minute we walked in and got us to our seats right away. There was a gentleman working on the security team (white hair, second floor) who was particularly awesome. I watched him stay on top of his game and he even came back to check on my boyfriend and I after seating us which to me, was above and beyond. Will definitely have to come back to try the food at some point and enjoy another concert. Thank you for being so accommodating!

I went on 12/23 for the annual Boys from the County Hell show... Got there extra early to get my elderly mom a seat upstairs. We were told the upstairs was closed, but asked if we were "ADA." We were not, so we stood around for a while. I finally went and asked someone at the VIP section about what we needed to do get my mom a seat-we go every year and always sit upstairs. She walked us up. ADA means Americans with Disabilities. It's a specific thing...not just old people who need to sit down. It was nice they let us up there... But weird. Then they had us perch in bar stools. Eventually they allowed us into the comfier seats, but because my mom isn't super fast, we weren't able to get into the front row. We were literally the first people into the venue and couldn't get a front row seat. It was messed up and exhibited pretty poor planning. The show was good, the sound was good, and I'm glad they eventually opened up the upstairs, but the whole thing was really weird.

We showed up a little late and they would not let us into the concert. They told us it was ending any minute, but went on for another couple hours. They also forced to wait outside in the snow, while we called a ride. The worst venue I have ever been to. Do not go here!

I was served by Kenny and Greg and they did an exceptional job assessing our likes and recommending a drink that fit our tastes. They were also great to speak with and share life experiences with. I love how they has advice towards experiences my friend and I had. They also watched our things as we used the restroom and were attentive to when we needed another drink. Kenny and Greg did a great job of serving us and working the room. I had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed my time at the bar and definitely look forward to the next time I come! Thank you house of blues for hiring the best workers and bartenders in the state!!! Definitely will come back just to see them!
