"This spot is part of a growing number of franchise locations. Based in Anaheim, California, it takes Hungary’s chimney cake (kürtöskalács) — made with freshly baked dough that turns out crunchy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside — and fills each with soft serve ice cream. Its Anaheim (Disney-inspired) roots show because guests can also select fruity vegan Dole whip (available in pineapple or strawberry) as a filling. Specialties also include The Mouse, made with vanilla bean soft serve, an Oreo chimney cake, sprinkles, Oreo ears, and chocolate buttons; or shakes, like the Ubecorn featuring an ube shake base, Fruity Pebbles, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a mini chimney cake." - Serena Maria Daniels

Google
Nice treat after dinner. Lots of Instagram worthy pics spots. We had a large order so it was a bit tough to get our order right, but they were really nice about fixing any issues and getting us what we wanted. It did take some time for the ice cream cones to be made but likely due to its elaborate presentation. Definitely worth checking out while in Dearborn!

Google
My wife and I were very excited to check out this spot as we've recently seen it all over social media and it was decent. I got the Tiramisu ice cream and she got the Bananatella milkshake and the milkshake was our favorite. The establishment didn't open until 5pm and that's when it appeared the staff began to prep everything which slowed down everyone's order. The staff also didn't seem very thrilled to be working especially the young man who was prepping everything. The overall establishment needs to be deep cleaned and paint touched up. The couch was beyond dirty and the flower display next to it was filthy. Other than that though not a terrible experience.

Found this place off of TikTok and I went with my Bestfriend. This is the perfect place to go for desert after dinner or a sweet treat on a sunny day! The prices are very reasonable & the customer service was very friendly! The place was aesthetically pleasing. I got the Everyday Birthday Cake and it was amazing! My Bestfriend got the Cookie Butter Dream and he loved it. I will be back to visit this place soon.

Google
Amazing visit to House of Chimney Cakes! We came in with a larger group and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome! The food was amazing but the level of service was exceptional. We will defiantly visit again when in the area.

My family of 4 got a refresher flight, two iced coffees, and two chimney cakes - the birthday and tropical. They had just opened and only one employee was working so things moved fairly slowly but that's not his fault. Everything was prepared fresh and was very good. Portions are very large. Iced coffees were fine, nothing to write home about but the refreshers were very good. It was a little difficult to place an order and ask questions since the person working was talking to someone on his cell phone. The store was clean and attractive and overall it was a good experience.

Google
I had to try this place after having authentic chimney cakes last fall in Prague. This place has a lot of potential. Maybe it was just an off night but with one person working the counter it took a really long time to order and get our desserts. Nice thing is that the chimney cakes are made fresh to order. That helped with the wait. I ordered the Halloween ‘Devil’ cone with black chocolate ice cream and husband got the strawberry cheesecake. Both were good and bonus points for the spooky holiday version. I’ll probably give them another try in the future.

Google
The lemon blueberry cone was fabulous and so delicious! The people working were so kind and friendly! Absolutely will be back again!

Google
Drove an hour to get the Harry Potter Themed Ice Cream Chimney Cakes. Got Hufflepuff, Slytherin and the Sorting Hat. Cashier was friendly and helpful. The chimney cake portion was warm and the nice cream was delicious, both the vanilla and chocolate. Will be back to try the Affegato and the Ashta.

Yelp
The presentation is excellent. This ice cream shop is very instagram worthy with the decor of the shop itself, but also with how they design all their food. I ordered the strawberry bomb which comes with strawberry dole soft serve, marshmallows and chocolate syrup. It overall tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry. It tasted great and all the flavors complimented themselves really well. I didn't eat the cone, but I understand I could've taken it home and warmed it up. The guy working there was very friendly and asked me how everything was. The parking lot is a little small but there is actually another lot near the back. Overall being as ever on the menu looks amazing, I definitely want to come back and try a few more items.

Amethyst W.

Yelp
This is located in the plaza with semi-decent parking available. We had a park bit further because a lot immediate too. It was very full. When we were there, it was not very busy, and the workers were all chatting and taking a break. I felt a bit bad interrupting them, but we were waiting and wanted to place an order. The overall place was very bright and seems to be clean. We ordered something to share because we weren't really sure what to get. But we got was pretty good.

Makayla G.

Yelp
WOW OVERPRICED. The food was good and the service was great! Really stellar service. But 31$ for three cakes is a little surprising especially since they're website menu said otherwise. Felt a little cramped but overall a good experience ambiance was fine

Maryum H.

Yelp
It looks amazing & it's very aesthetic but the taste is ehh. The ice cream itself isn't that great imo, but the signature shell is yummy. Not sure if I'd go again but it was nice to try at least once

Yelp
After spending all day at the Old Car Festival, at Greenfield village, and a lunch that was bigger than we wanted, Ice Cream was the perfect way to end the day. Everything is made to order, and I skipped the ice cream and opted for a cinnamon chimney cake, as did our friends wife. My bride hade a crazed chimney cake, and my friend is the only one who had the ice cream. We apparently got there at the right time as after we ordered several groups showed up. I take a little bit of time to make and cook the chimney cakes so we counted ourselves lucky to be ahead of them. The only negative we had here, was realizing that St. Louis, doesn't have anything like this. We will be back on our next trip to your great city

Michael T.

Yelp
The concept was cool, but the cake was quickly soggy and the ice cream had a strange texture to it. The service was also quite slow.

Dawn V.

Yelp
Maybe call them before you plan on going? Not sure what's going on- We had a gaggle of pre teens and door says open at 1:00pm fridays- the "open" sign is lit up and lights on but doors locked We had planned by the hours on the front door (which are painted on so maybe they changed and never updated ‍)

Autumnn G.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try them forever and glad I finally got out and did so. The shop is super cute, clean and bright and the staff were very friendly. The cakes themselves take a while because they make them fresh to order, I think I waited about 15 minutes or so. When it came out it looked amazing but I wasn't really impressed with the dessert itself. The chimney cake was a little flavorless and not that sweet l, I had strawberry cheesecake and it quickly became messy as the ice cream began to melt. It was definitely an "I'm glad I tried it" experience but I doubt to will be back.

Zanita W.

Yelp
Very beautiful bakery where you can grab sweet treats. The chimney cakes are made fresh to order. I got the cookie butter dream and I love anything cookie butter so I was definitely in love with the dessert. From the picture it looks huge but it actually was the perfect amount and didn't leave me feeling bloated or sick from too much sugar. The bakers were courteous and were very happy that I enjoyed my dessert. They have an extensive menu of different chimney cakes as well the option to create your own so you'll never run out of options! I can't wait to go back.

Flip M.

Yelp
Not a fan Won't return Few reasons Prices are higher than posted on website. Menu isn't the same as website Told they don't carry the items on their website Only one in the state and shady I'll stick with other places like The custard company

Yelp
DATE & TIME OF VISIT: July 1, 2023 @ 2:00(ish). They were not busy (one group of 2 people ahead of us). AMBIANCE: Very cute! Fun and whimsical feel to the inside and out. CLEANLINESS: Floors in the whole place were VERY sticky (not sure how well they clean?). Women's bathroom had no toilet paper or hand soap . So not sure how the worker who used the restroom before me washed her hands before going back to making orders (with no gloves)! SERVICE / SERVER: There was a guy and lady in the facility. Both were not the friendliest. Took our order and then started making it and seemed very underwhelmed with working. FOOD: This is what we ordered.... Oreo Overload -- The chimney cake was tasty, flavors of toppings were good, ice cream was meh as you really don't get much (had an icy feel/taste, like low quality ice cream). Price $9.95 (if you look on their website it will show the price as a dollar less but it is not! You can see the prices in the photo). Definitely OVERPRICED for the serving size & quality. Tiramisu -- Just like the other on the chimney cake was tasty, flavors of toppings were good, ice cream was meh. Again OVERPRICED $9.95! OVERALL THOUGHTS: Definitely NOT worth the price we paid! $22 (that's a lot for 2 ice cream cones of mediocre quality). WOULD I RECOMMEND OR RETURN? Maybe & Maybe but probably not.

Nicole B.

Yelp
The place was amazing in every way. The treats, the staff and the style. Me & the kids loved it!

Sapha H.

Yelp
The decor here is really cute, and there's a really expansive menu with lots of options. The ice cream was really good, I thought the chimney cake itself was difficult to eat and didn't have much taste, but my husband disagreed. Service was friendly but it took 20min after we ordered for us to receive our ice cream, despite it not being busy; we would've appreciated it if they mentioned that up front. The floors are sticky and bathrooms were not clean.

Michelle A.

Yelp
The food is tasty and unique. As a family of 5, spending 60.00 on ice cream... not so sure. Getting promoted for a tip also annoying. You dont bring napkins or water... I think they could offer mini sundaes with toppings for the kids and that would be awesome. Waiting 30-45 minutes seemed like long time. Loved that they were open on a sunday evening and loved seeing young people out and about having a nice time :) Also- please have paper menu's so we are not hovering over your register trying to see the menu to make sense of it.

Alyssa G.

Yelp
The ice cream was good but not sure if it was worth the wait. All the ice cream that out looked professionally decorated and delicious. The cone was crunchier than expected and didn't have a lot of flavor.

Kitty K.

Yelp
House of Chimney Cakes was an amazing experience for dessert! The options are over the top deliciousness making it hard to choose! I went with the Everyday Birthday Cake which was super yummy! The kids both got the Strawberry Bomb and were very satisfied. My man got the So Hungry Delicious and was blown away! There are so many options along with build your own chimney cake. You must check our House of Chimney Cakes in Dearborn! We will definitely be back.

Maham S.

Yelp
I went to House of Chimney Cakes for the second time and loved it. I got the Harry Potter edition chimney cake and the it was tasty, decorative and refreshing. I like that they use soft serve with a fresh/hot chimney cake cone. It's the perfect combo! The restaurant is also aesthetically pleasing and has nice seating. I'd highly recommend bringing friends and family here!

Brian E.

Yelp
Pretty nice alternative to traditional soft serve. Food was too tasty to take a pic. Place is worth a stop

Cory C.

Yelp
I described these to my friends as soft serve in a churro cone - it definitely looks incredible in pictures! Service was great. The lady who took my order was patient and helpful in giving me recommendations. The dole whip was really good - a little bit tart, but it was refreshing and tasty. The cinnamon sugar cake was warm and incredible. These are quite messy, so I would recommend eating them in the restaurant (or outside) with plenty of napkins. As for pricing, at $6.95 for a basic cone and $9.95 for a specialty creation or milkshake, it's definitely pricey. If you came with someone else and split something, that would be the way to go, for me at least. I would like to try other things there sometime. There are so many options that sound amazing!

Leslie C.

Yelp
Delicious!! What a treat! I've never had anything like it and I will definitely return. A chimney cake is a Hungarian sweet bread, and the recipe is over 300 years old! It's considered a donut, churro and croissant all in one. It has a crispy/crunchy outside and fluffy inside. It is filled and topped with their homemade soft serve ice cream or dole whip. Then you can add toppings and sauces. There are 15 homemade creations there to order, or you can build your own. There are vegan options too. Their soft serve is wonderful! I had the Lemon Blueberry, which came with vanilla ice cream, a blueberry cone, fresh blueberries and blueberry sauce, and lemon Oreos on top. I loved everything about mine!! Wow!! My cousin had the the Strawberry Bomb, which has strawberry dole whip, a fresh strawberry on top, and marshmallows. He really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the chimney cake. I loved the texture of the sweetbread, and the contrast of the crispy outside and the flaky inside. It's a very generous portion and a great price. I also loved the decor inside. A lot of natural lighting. It felt very bright and fun inside. Good vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of free parking in the lot. Excellent, helpful, and friendly service.

Bryan C.

Yelp
What's there not to love about this place? The ambiance and the design of this establishment is really special like a fancy cafe which is a great place to take a date out for dessert. Let's talk about the dessert menu, it's chimney cakes, it's like a vertical donut or stretched out like a slinky instead of a cone (they are vegan) with vegan soft serve ice cream that is filled within to the top like a sundae that never stops! Plus they have so many vegan options here that makes a vegan's head explode with excitement. I ordered the Mamino's Tropical Fruit Sundae which was the bomb! Absolutely loved every bite of it. The amazing thing that even though it's built vertical, as you scoop into it, it holds together well and doesn't fall apart all over the place. Intriguing...the science of it all. This place is definitely worth repeated visits even though it's a little pricey. To all my Cali peeps, they do have this same place in Anaheim! Check it out.

Kai C.

Yelp
A cute place with a great spin on soft served ice cream. The cone is a delicious pastry; A little firm on the outside and soft and flakey like a croissant on the inside. They have tons of toppings to choose from. It's not an inexpensive treat but worth it! I'll definitely be back to enjoy a variety of their treats. Oh and don't let me forget, I ate there and ordered one to go. They totally kept my to go order cool for me until I was ready to leave.

Freyhan D.

Yelp
"An experience" is definitely a pretty accurate way for me to sum up House Of Chimney Cakes. All different shades of pink around, glamorous lights and signs, etc make you feel like you've stepped into a princesses bedroom when you enter. Everything is clean and kept in place though. The menu was large enough to offer enough variety without allowing you to get lost in all the choices available. I've tried Baklava and also the vegan Strawberry Dole in a cup as well. The Baklava was awesome, and I really enjoyed the cone as well. I was also very surprised at the vegan option, as it not only tasted great but also didn't have any weird texture or feel to it like some others. I was really torn on giving this four stars. My only gripe really is the pricing. It did seem a little expensive for the what you get/the size. Although to be fair, others (particular of the female gender) may value their princess vibe and Instagramable chair/sign a little more than me to feel like it's worth the premium.

Jim U.

Yelp
I've never been here before and it was a clean venue with some cool decorations. They have a bench that's worthy of some photos. The ice cream is expensive. $10 for a designer come is a bit excessive, in my opinion. But at the same time. It's definitely much bigger and more intricate then any come over ever had. It's not a cone either. We had a hand made donut base and strawberry swirl on top. It comes in a cone holder but USE CAUTION- the ice cream will drip out the bottom point after it melts a little. The ice cream was good but it wasn't anything special. The donut was awesome. I'm. It a big come fan so this was quite the treat. It was a little hard because the ice cream made it cold..I waited a minute or two and it warmed up slightly and tasted great. Due to sugar amounts and the size, one cone should be enough for 2 adults to share. I'd come back but at this price range it won't be a regular stop. Just special occasions, most likely.

Ameena S.

Yelp
This place was really cool! The chimney cakes are almost like churros in terms of texture/taste. I got the cookies and cream one which was delicious, but it did take a little bit to be ready (they make the cones fresh). The croffle was cool too, kind of like a croissant in a waffle press with ice cream on top. Very cool twist on a regular ice cream/dessert shop, and I would definitely come back.

Maria Aimen J.

Yelp
If you want to go somewhere to take children or the girls, then this as your place, because it is definitely very picture worthy. If you're looking for impressive ice cream then then maybe you should keep looking. The pictures I took are nice, the ice cream was nothing to write home about. I did not like the cone that the ice cream came in. It was not soft and chewy like I expected it to be, it was more hard like a old donut. We threw the entire thing in the trash. Am I happy that I went here and got cute pictures of my kids and myself?? Okay. Sure. Would I go here again... Definitely not. I knew that 1 cone cone was more than enough for my 2 children, but they couldn't decide on the cone because my daughter only wanted another cone for the butterfly on it. So I asked for the butterfly on it, and was charged $1 per butterfly. That definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I understand having to charge for items but literally $1 for butterfly that was not even plastic or anything. Completely, completely overpriced that. Customer service wasn't there at all. It's sad because it's the little things like that that make a place great. I saw there were a few ice cream cups with espresso, and I was going to purchase 6 of them, but after she charged me a dollar per butterfly, I decided not to get them. Oh well, their loss. Would not go here again.

Maria A.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The worker put so much care and detail into the finished product. It was beautiful and delicious! I also appreciate the dairy free Dole Whip option.

Hassan C.

Yelp
As soon as I walked in the restaurant, I was overcome by the smell of delicious chocolate and cinnamon. The store itself is extremely clean and tidy. The staff are extremely kind and caring to your needs. I asked my server what they thought would be the best choice, and she said that everything is delicious. Of course, when I saw the menu option for Strawberry Cheesecake, I had to choose that. My order took less than 2 minutes to be ready, and it looked stunning! The texture of the ice cream was very smooth and not too hard. It was at the perfect temperature, and I loved how the structure of the dessert kept together with every bite. It made every part even more savory and delicious. Everything tasted very fresh, and as soon as I got to the cake, it was very easy to peel apart and eat. It was SO good! Wow! I was expecting a very hard and sweet cake, but it was soft and chewy. It really gave you the chance to enjoy every part. My tastebuds were seriously on vacation! I had a sundae waiting at the bottom of the cone, and it was the word etc ending to a perfect meal. All in all, very interesting dessert, but nonetheless, superb and phenomenal taste. A must-try and I definitely will be surrounding some buzz to other folks! Great Yelp Event Overall!

Beatrice S.

Yelp
DO NOT GO!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE PLEASE!!!especially if you're allergic to peanuts. Unfortunately, I ended up throwing up after. I read reviews that were mixed about the place and I was hoping the food out weighed the bad but I was wrong. Either there was definitely peanut contamination or the young lady put Nutella on my dessert instead of chocolate syrup, I only got a few spoon fulls in before I started having a reaction. So I stopped and threw it away. They did end up making a complete different one for me but it was too late. Not only did I have a reaction but even the second one (Oreo) was very disappointing. The chimney cone is too hard, was thinking it was more the texture of an elephant ear. The big cookie in top was also way to hard, I couldn't crush it with spoon like you normally are able to do with cookies dripping in ice-cream. And lastly, the it was overall more of a mess than anything, the ice-cream started melted even before you got the dessert to your plate. SO AGAIN THIS ONE IS A BIG FAT NO FOR ME. Save your money, try another dessert place.

Kathy S.

Yelp
Dino El made our very first chimney cake for our birthday. My granddaughter, Mika and I. It is delicious totally adorable. It has sprinkles, fruity, pebbles, Oreo, cookie bits, and a cupcake and a birthday candle on top and he freshly made our chimney cake while we watched. Absolutely delicious and very cute shoppe as well. Ve and again the service was very good.!

Christopher C.

Yelp
What a wonderful place for a handcrafted dessert. Stellar service, delicious fare, a rather robust and diversified clientele, this place attracts all because it provides artisan desserts for a decent price. Everybodies welcome. I had the All American Apple Pie, my partner had the Strawberry surprise. She loved it, and I loved mine. Even after the ice cream, that chimney cake covered in cinnamon sugar, packed with warm apple pie filling, it was like two desserts in one. I honestly cant wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! All of their chimney cakes looked great! And they also do some hot stuff with loaded Belgian waffles. Im really looking forward to trying one of them with a hot coffee this fall.

Erin C.

Yelp
We enjoyed our treats from House of Chimney Cakes. The owners and workers were all very friendly, answered all of our questions, and helped us with our orders. The flavors were yummy and everything is definitely eye-catching too! The only downfall was that getting carryout is difficult because the cones are hard to transport. They made some suggestions to use the cupholder in the car or to have someone hold the items. Cones can be top heavy and tipping is possible. I took the chance because I live 3 minutes away. It worked out in the cupholders of my car, but they did start to melt quickly. Otherwise everyone was very excited to get theirs and we all enjoy the variety of flavors/choices. Thank you!

GG M.

Yelp
Fist time here and can't wait to go back! Service was fast and super friendly. Considering all the amazing options they have, making a decision wasn't the easiest thing...a problem I am okay with having. The staff member was gracious enough to give multiple suggestions and we enjoyed the times we got based off said suggestions. Trying the full chimney next time, but took it easy today. If you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for?!?! GO!

Laura B.

Yelp
We waited around 35 minutes for one cone. Which in my opinion, was ridiculous for a singular cone. It was busy in there, so understandable for a slightly longer wait. However, the three men on staff had no sense of urgency at all. One even on his personal cell phone while also talking to customers. For halloween, their vanilla ice cream is dyed orange, and their chocolate ice cream dyed black. Not a problem for us, however, we did watch two different people complain about it because that was not communicated to the consumer beforehand. It was a very cute spot, nice seating. The bathrooms looked like they had not been cleaned in a while. Personally, I would not go back. The ice cream was cute, but bland. Not very good overall.

Allyson G.

Yelp
Went to a adorable dessert place while visiting friends in Detroit, MI. We made our way over to Dearborn to check this place out. Found them on Instagram and thought we had to try. Not only does those dessert look absolutely amazing it taste even better and I mean it! The soft served ice cream was on point. The chimney cakes were so good that I bough an extra to eat when I got home. The people were so kind and there was seating inside. The shop was so cute and very Instagram worthy. Very cute and fun dessert place!!

Czara V.

Yelp
Such a cool concept and menu! Some of the flavors are seasonal, so I suggest trying those if you don't frequent this place often. It's a pretty hefty trek for us (35 mins away) so I opted for the Ube Supreme on the seasonal menu and I was not disappointed! So good and the purple cotton candy on top was a cute touch. My daughter tried the Birthday Cake and while she said it looked cool, the strawberry ice cream was more of a sorbet and on the tangier side and she didn't care for it. We shared my Ube cone and it was more than enough for both of us. The venue is cute and totally IG worthy. There is a cute floral booth to take pics in. The staff is aloof and not the most friendly or accommodating, but isn't an issue if you're only grabbing ice cream and leaving.

Lynn H.

Yelp
We love House of Chimney Cakes! It's a destination whenever we have relatives or friends from out of town. I've had several of their creations and can attest that you can't go wrong, whatever you choose. My very favorite is the lemon blueberry, and the strawberry bomb is a close second. Oh, it is so darn good! Trust me and go!

Aminah K.

Yelp
Looks better than it tastes. The inside of the shop is very cute and Instagramable. They have few tables with seating. The menu carries their signature creations which is this churro cone with different ice cream flavors/toppings, OG chimney cakes and create your own. We ordered 2 of the signature creations. The ice cream was mediocre and lacked much flavor. The flavors did not seem to go together and toppings did not taste fresh. The churro cone was the biggest disappointment. It was cold and the texture was harder than I was expecting. It would of been so much better it was warm and soft. Overall super disappointing.

Jessica Z.

Yelp
I really love this quaint little cafe! Their desserts are so cute and you can tell that they spend a lot of time and effort making them. When I went, we got a latte, their birthday cake and mouse signature creations (soft serve in a chimney cake cone), and an original chimney cake. I love how aesthetic everything looked but I thought the chimney cakes themselves were okay - they were a little tough to bite into so I recommend getting them with toppings or something else to soften them.

Jewell D.

Yelp
Such a great spot for a unique and new to the area Hungarian dessert, the chimney cake! I felt like a kid in a candy store trying to choose which chimney cake to get. Decided on the Cookie Butter Cream Chimney Cake with vanilla bean ice cream, biscoff cookie chimney cake, caramel, chocolate chip cheesecake, biscoff cookie, cookie butter filling, salted caramel cookie butter sauce. Wow, you guys! The cookie butter was amazing! Goes great with coffee. This exceeded my expectations and I can't wait go back! A Chimney Cake is the official dessert of Hungary. Me being part Hungarian, I knew I had to try it. It's as if a donut and churro had a baby and named her Chimney Cake! The dough is baked to order, made from organic ingredients, and some vegan as well! If you haven't been, you gotta go right away!!

Saay F.

Yelp
I am in love with this Instagramable Ice cream spot! They have a variety of ice creams, milkshakes, lattes, hot chocolate and more. If you haven't be sure to check them out. There is plenty of parking as well.

Andrea C.

Yelp
Nice little place but vegan options are limited to pineapple or strawberry dole whip. Looking at menu, there are very few toppings that are vegan as well (oh goody, add more fruit to my fruit ice cream....nope!). I can go to Kroger and get a vegan Ben and Jerry's ice cream instead and it won't be cloyingly sweet. A disappointing trip for dessert when my family can enjoy ice cream and all I can do is sit there while they enjoy their treats.

Sarah S.

Yelp
Cute concept but not fast.. it took about 45 minutes to get our treats that were over cooked and raw at the same time if that makes sense? If you have food allergies, cross contamination is a huge risk so definitely skip the toppings as they used the scoops interchangeably.

Christine B.

Yelp
A good place for sweet treats from a basic ice cream in a chimney cake to a more fancy creation. The base is a chimney cake I chose cinnamon sugar for mine. I went with strawberry dole as I wanted dairy free and I was carrying it out. The speciality creations were quite tempting (sorry forgot the pics) or you could start with a basic ice cream or dole and add toppings. This shop is over an hour away so likely wouldn't return unless I was in this area. The chimney cake was quite delicious tasted like a soft churro. For those who are dairy free like me they also had pineapple dole.

Yelp
This was my first time trying a chimney cake and this was not disappointing at all. The cafe looks like a regular ice cream cafe but their specialty is, that they give the ice cream in a cone structure that they call as chimney cake which also comes in flavors. I took the mocha one and got it filled with Dutch chocolate ice cream and it was amazing!! Chimney cake is more like a breaded cone instead of the "cake" that it sounds like.. I would love to stop by again later now that I know such a place exists and I'll also make my friends try it too.. haven't seen such a place anywhere else in Michigan so far..

Yelp
I came here excited to try a chimney cake. As soon was I walked in I was greeted by sticky floors and tables. The toppings area looks filthy and probably hadn't been cleaned in a while. I ordered a cinnamon chimney cake and it costed me 5 bucks. There as only 1 employee in the entire store. Ten minutes later I got my food and I was greeted by a tiny fried piece of dough covered in sugar. And it just tasted like dough and sugar. No where near worth 5 dollars. Save your money and get a better dessert.

Yelp
The concept is very cute but the chimney cakes are not. I expected the cake to be soft and or warm. It was neither. The service is great and the location is nice but I won't be back. I took my step daughter & nieces. They also were not impressed

Yelp
Thanks to Yelp Elite and House of Chimney Cakes for the experience! It seems like the Dearborn area has so many hidden gems with unique eats, and this was no exception. We had never tried a chimney cake before, so we were eager to check it out. When you walk in, you immediately take in all the cute decor and ambience. Everything is modern and felt clean as well. There were tons of options, from basic to fully decked out treats. My husband and I each tried one, the strawberry dole whip was delish but the vanilla ice cream seemed over-churned. There are lots of topping options, and they all seemed high quality. The chimney cake itself was tasty, almost like a crunchy donut-croissant crossover. But, it was hard to get to without getting super messy. My biggest issue is it was almost impossible to eat without making a huge mess, especially as it dripped everywhere. We ate in the car since we had our toddler with us... big mistake! We'll have to come back sometime and try a different creation, and we'll eat inside next time. :)

Yelp
Tried this place out for the first time. My son insisted we get the Oreo chimney cake. The cake was freshly made and the ice cream was a thick soft serve that was really rich. We enjoyed it very much and plan to return to try other flavors! They have a lot more then chimney cakes! Some coffee and teas, adffogato flavors you might not find anywhere else. The interior is super cute with lots of photo opportunities! They also have outdoor seating. The people here were really nice!

Yelp
Discovered this place recently. WOW!!! Quite a special place- for a special day treat or your day to day sweet. DINO, the young man who was making everyone happy with his creations, was so helpful and knowledgeable.
