Had the family dinner for 3 meal. Came with 2 wonton and a egg rolls per person. Got the mandarin meal, which came with 3 courses and rice. As well as egg drop soup. Got a side order of hot and sour soup. Both were phenomenal!!!! Are waitress was friendly and attentive. Overall experience for price and food made this a 10/10!

I ordered Crab Rangoon’s, Peppered beef, And chicken chow mein! The crab Rangoon were greasy and I’m pretty sure they put party dip sour cream in them instead of actual raccoon ingredients. They were Way too overpowering! The chow mein was literally Ramen noodles, and it was like soup and bland no flavor. The pepper beef was literally a soup fajita. Will not be back!

Family has been coming here for a very long time. Like a different time/place......from the parking lot to the inside decor, it's like a time capsule from the 1980s. Ordered takeaway this last time for five people, and it was the first time being back in several years, but the service was great, and the food was awesome......still my favorite egg rolls from a Chinese restaurant....only critique is that the crab rangoons could have had more cream cheese :)

Placed a carryout order on noon on a Sunday- didn't realize the lunch prices only apply Mon- Saturday, Sunday you pay dinner prices ALL DAY. Apparently when you order a dinner you get your main dish and that is it, unlike the lunch you get a fried wonton and fried rice. So essentially your charged more money and get considerably less food. We ordered 2 "dinners" and received only one rice to share, which was very cold, almost like it went from the fridge to the to-go container. Ordered the Mongolian beef which was semi warmed but completely dry and tough, even soaking in the sauce didnt make the beef any easier to tear and chew. We also ordered an order of lo mein noodles, we received plain white noodles- the word "lo" by definition means "tossed" and generally are mixed with a sauce, veggies, and a protein, which I'm not even upset it didn't have a protein, but NO SAUCE...we get the food home and the one thing I thought came with every Chinese order was fortune cookies, there were none. So for $40 we received cold rice, white plain noodles, 2 "dinners" 1 of which I could barely swallow it was so dry and our crab meat rangoons (which were very good and hot). When I called to question the lo mein I was told I had to specifically order the lo mein noodle with sauce. When I informed the gentleman that the word lo literally means tossed so I figured it came with the sauce he informed me he just put in plain noodles because he thought that's what we meant we wanted when we said an order of lo mein noodles... Smh .... Needless to say I'll be saving my money and not going back for over priced, over cooked and cold food.

Tastes like old oil. Brought us out cold crab Rangoon 2 minutes after we ordered, clearly just sitting around. Got orange chicken thinking they couldn't screw that up. Ingendients couldn't have been cheaper or lower quality if they tried. Chicken was shaved and fried. Overall, going to go get ice cream to get the taste of old oil out I'd my mouth

Good was very greasy, and no napkins were put in to go bag. But the service of said greasy food was superb. Calming atmosphere.

I try to like this place, but something just seems off. The drinks are good, the staff is wonderful and friendly. But the food is just "eh." It's an Iowa version of Chinese. Other guests during my visit seemed to enjoy what they ordered. If you're looking for bland and "just ok" Chinese food, House Of China is your place..
