I absolutely love this store! The location is tucked away despite being on Sunset Blvd and it’s like you’re transported out of the busy city into a peaceful, tranquile oasis. The staff are incredibly knowledgable, friendly, and honest - even if they recommend something that isn’t sold in their store. I ended up purchasing some incense and essential oils but I learned a lot about tarot and the history of the store. You can tell there was a lot of thought and time spent curating a vision for this community and I definitely recommend checking it out.

Absolutely love their candles. The quality and ability to dress them with herbs and personalize them. Will always come here for my prayer/intention candles

Bought an incense burner and two big incense sticks and one small one. I went originally for crystals since I have many gems and wanted rainbow obsidian (which they have), but ended up buying incense for a father’s day gift instead.

To my surprise, they responded right away and got them in the mail before I had even gotten home from work to check my email. They were very nice, and, most importantly, the package arrived exactly on time. THANK YOU HOI! <3

I have shoppped at the House of Intuition for several years now, which makes the racial profiling I experienced at 6 PM, Sunday September 12, 2021 all the more disappointing. Of the many times I have been here, I have never been followed around and monitored as closely as I was today. I am typically greeted once, asked if I need help, and then left to my own devices as the cashier works behind the register. Today however, an employee took it upon herself to repeatedly circle around the crystal shelves, in her feeble mind slyly watching me as if I didn't notice her constantly eyeing me out of the corner of her eye. She pretended to look at the products, but was really looking at the only Black people in the store as if they did not have I have had enough anti-Black retail experiences to know when I'm being watched. For it to happen while I am holding stones that I have purchased at this very location is quite the twist of disrespect. According to their website, "House of Intuition is a metaphysical oasis dedicated to enlightening, empowering and uplifting our community." You will be hard-pressed to name a single genuine "metaphysical oasis" that condones anti-Black racial profiling. I genuinely question which community the phrase "our community" refers to. Their stated claim "Wherever your spiritual journey takes you, you’ll always have a home here at House of Intuition" is merely a flowery-sounding About statement that this business clearly doesn't adhere to. This is gentrified spirituality and it shows.

Always good vibes here. I've bought crystals here and they have pretty good prices in comparison to shops that in the Venice and Santa Monica area. I usually come here for sound baths and Dominic is amazing. I definitely recommend him if you're new to sound baths. I'm always weary of people who charge a lot for that stuff but for the price he charges, I should be giving him more since he does such a good job.

This shop is really fun to visit! There is a good amount of interesting stuff to look at. They have crystals, incense, books, Tarot decks, household items, beautiful dream catchers, candles, herbs, and more! The staff are all friendly. The prices are on the higher end though. They're crystals and Tarot decks are all priced significantly higher than other shops in LA County (like Spellbound Sky, Alexandria II, and Native Spirit Lodge). They also offer classes, meditations, sound therapy, etc. it's def a shop worth visiting! Their incense and candles are my favorite part, but def not my first pick if you're looking for reasonable price ranges.

This place is sweet if this is what your into. Wide selection of stones and crystals in all shapes and sizes, extensive book selection, great candles, and most importantly a very friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. It's maybe a little on the pricey side but that's what I'd expect for a place of this caliber. Bottom line if this is what your looking for you won't be disappointed.

I came in to find some crystals for a friend and Ryan greeted and assisted me. He was extremely knowledgeable and so kind! There were so many crystals, candles, books, bracelets, etc... just so many things to choose from! The prices were fair and definitely worth the price!

It took me a few various HOIs to get here because the place looked extremely camouflaged into its surroundings. I had a difficult time locating this place. Staff was very welcoming here~He gave me his business card and told me they own a few more Crystal Shops in just the Los Angeles, CA area alone. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place nor posted pics....I had them somewhere in my camera roll....relative pics will be added later. I located free street parking so was very convenient about that part of the local tourist trip.

The service is always welcoming and helpful. I love their incense so much. However, if you're looking for the real deal botanica. This is not it. If it doesn't feel like I walked through the veil. I don't want it. The cost of the candles alone it's ridiculous. But they are aesthetically pleasing. But if you're looking for the real deal. You gotta go to where the olde ways reside. If you know. You know. This place is bougie and a cute tourist trap. However, I will go back for the incense. They smell amazing

Very cool house. It really is like a house. It's in a residential neighborhood in Echo Park and you enter this fabulous house converted into a retail space. It's very spacious with several rooms, some of them private for readings. HOI has everything for your spiritual needs from books, crystals, Sage, candles, incense, oils and so much more. Beautiful jewelry too. Wonderful candle collection. There are Zodiac candles and also candles to help set your intentions and attract abundance, for example. I saw some Major Arcana tarot related candles too. They are diligent about safety. Only 3 people allowed in the store at a time. Everyone is in masks and they ask you to use hand sanitizer as you enter. If you are planning on going during a peak time, be prepared to wait a little bit. I went today on Halloween/Saturday and it was really busy. They have plenty of space outside where you can distance safely while you wait. I waited about 45 minutes but I brought a book. I found free street parking really easily. I really enjoyed my time here today and I'll definitely return.

When I first walked in, the whole place smelled amazing! Of course it's all the safe, candles, and incense. It was quaint and super cute. Yes, there are a ton of shops in LA that sell similar things, but I liked how organized and creative they were. Candles catered to your zodiac sign?! I loved that idea. Money candles? I got the money candle and it smells SO bomb. I've been trying not to burn it all day since I want it to last, ha! It is a bit pricey, but that's all shops similar to these in LA. I will most likely be returning. There is street parking and they do limit the amount of people who come in due to Covid. The guy who was there was friendly. He asked if I needed help as soon as I walked in.

This may be my favorite crystals, manifestation candles, and overall spiritual store in LA! Everything from the entrance of this place to the fully-stocked items perfectly placed on display really sets the tone when you enter. There was incense burning (not overbearing) and different sections or "rooms" - one filled with spiritual books, tarot cards, and other similar goodies. OMG, there is a witchcraft book that I truly contemplated on getting lol (photo attached.) Another room full of candles and obviously, the first room is full of beautiful crystals of all sorts and sizes. I picked up a pretty goldstone ring that I'm currently wearing right now and very happy with my purchase. The ladies that were working here are helpful, but also allow you to go at your own pace in the store and are not rushing you - which has been my experience in some places. I parked in the neighborhood and found a spot almost immediately. The only downfall for this shop would be parking... But I'm telling yall that it is worth the trip! HOI also offers readings if that is something you're interested in! Can't wait to come back xo

I came here to pick up a few crystals and candles for a friend who was trying to explore the spiritual realm pre-covid. We didn't get a chance to check out any legitimate shops before she left, so I was guided here for her birthday gift. The entrance experience gets an A+. I appreciated the sign they had outside that said "Your Intuition Led You Here" so we took a photo like the foreign immigrants from Downtown we were. I can't imagine how many falls have happened walking up and down those sketchy steep stairs but it elevated the experience walking into the HOUSE - the name does not lie! Being the indecisive Libra that I am, I literally camped out in their crystals section looking for the most suitable ones for my friend then I gave up and just chose the best looking ones. I am not a subscriber of crystals what-SO-ever but in gift-giving, I remind myself it's about THEM not ME. Gosh, I forget the girl who was working but she was really sweet (Wednesday evening). They were super adamant about wrapping up the crystals which I knew I was going to unwrap and sanitize with rubbing alcohol because the sticky part from the price tag didn't fully come off and there was so much dirt on them. Just after wiping them off the first time, our alcohol pad was brown but I definitely appreciate the relentless customer service. I would come back again if I had to buy a gift for someone who was into this kind of stuff. Don't get me wrong, I subscribe to Tarot and astrology and all that but the rocks.. hmm. Haven't sold me yet only because I know of shops who buy these pebbles from China and resell it for ridiculous profit margins. Overall, highly recommended.

I love this place -- everyone is so kind, it always smells nice and it's never too crowded. I get all my woo woo items here and love getting birthday gifts here. That abundance candle WORKS! I got my dream job and dream apartment after using that candle around my birthday in 2021. Also, it's woman owned and Latinx owned!

I love this place! House of intuition is known to have quality crystals and my absolute favorite is getting readings from Ryan. He is such a loving soul and and puts even the harshest information in a loving way and eases your pain when going through it. His guidance is truly appreciated. You won't know for a fact until you visit! Staff is friendly and when booking appointment, you are seen right on time.

Anywhere that's selling New-Age bourgeoise concepts of health, wellness, spirituality. you're selling an idea. The IDEA that by CONSUMING x, y, or z, you will BECOME healthier, wealthier, wiser. to be honest I was gonna list the places in which I felt more solidarity and love (a funeral procession; a donut shop; a women's bathroom in a bar), in comparison to this place... but I'll refrain for now. or, if you're like me, and probably the majority of House of Intuition's clientele, you're a fake millionaire millenial. Taken from the Webster dictionary, 57th Edition, 2017: A fake millionaire millenial is one between the age of 24-31, who spends excessively on frivolous, expensive things, even though to the contrary their income is subpar to that which can qualify as being a true after-taxes millionaire. THAT BEING SAID. I'm also a sucker because I love sh*t like this. A candle that's gonna help me achieve all my goals? Sure. A piece of rock that's gonna capture all of the positive energy and manifest into the man of my dreams? Heck yes! Take all my monies! I know to a certain extent, this might be hokey, but I like the idea behind it. It's also a good place to get gifts. Books on meditation, astrology, the big birthday astrology book, healing diets, Buddhism, Reiki, Tao Che Ching, and more. Last thing, I don't want to exploit the people who work here but...I just found it REALLY WEIRD that this RETAIL STORE had a TIP OPTION at the cash register. Like... if this is some weird way that the owners get the cashier people to treat the customers "nicely", then that is some messed up shit. I only say this because I noticed that the cashier girl was really chatty. I thought it was just her personality, but then when the tip option came up, it was like a realization moment for me, where I discovered the real reason for the chumminess. And then when I flipped the machine over to her, the cashier girl immediately looked at the screen, which I'm 99% sure is because she was looking at how much tip I gave her. Then again, they're retail workers and may be earning less than the living wage. And I'm not blaming her for wanting to try to get tip! I hope the workers are being paid well. If not, then someone rescue the cashiers at House of Intuition! They're being held hostage and are forced to chat for a real wage. Just kidding. Kinda.

I come here quite often as they are down the street from my job. I love it here! I can never leave without spending more than want. lol That should say enough. I come here for spiritual birthday gifts for the special people in my life. 10/10 recommend.

I think the space is great but far too bright in lighting to be mystical and healing supply story as well as mediation studio. I do like the selection of crystals, candles, and incense but why so overpriced? I mean YIKES!!!! A crystal point may be $62 here as suppose to $40 at another crystal store. Trust me no difference in quality. This isn't a "You get what you pay for" store. Palo santo, sage, incense, oils, and noticeably higher here. They do have a nice collection of incense which I love to use for mediation when I stop in with my friend who loves this store but again this place is way too overpriced to be my one-stop shop. I do plan to take a mediation class here someday and maybe then my rating will change for the better. Still a very cool shop to check out. The Melrose location is also amazing well designed and in my opinion has more knowledgeable staff.

Ah! LOVE LOVE LOVE this store!!! I can't emphasize that enough. They have everything a spirtualist needs! From sage bundles to candles to every single kind of crystal you can think of- WITH descriptions, this place is legit, and well worth my 2 hour drive from SD. That, and I think the prices are decent. I've seen other people say they're a little high and maybe for some of the crystals but everything else is decent. $22 for a big huge candle is not bad! From birthday bundles and boxes to new and full moon candles, this place makes my heart sing. Only bummer thing is it's sort of hard to find. While it's "on" sunset, it's literally on top of a hill and my GPS took me up and around and shot me out at sunset. All that aside, I expected it to be bigger! But I kind of liked the quaint feel and I like how organized each room was. Three rooms- one fro crystals, one for books and one for candles! And the people working there fit my soul tribe too! Not only were they sweet humble little beings! They knew an awful lot too! I'm coming back! And visiting the others too!

Ever since I moved here in 2016, I've visited this specific HOI location many times over whenever I'd drop by into LA for a spell. I used to come here often whenever I'd need books, candles, incense, and crystals for my practice or if I needed to be in a safe space. Seeing it change and expand in the last few years has been amazing and the vibes are always good at the OG HOI. Also, special thanks to Ryan for always being helpful For anyone curious of the metaphysical, HOI is a neat destination for your spiritual needs. I recommend their magic candles for manifesting and focusing your goals!

This experience happened about a year ago but when I think about it I am still angry. Hopefully this review should give closure and help customers and the owners. I am a huge fan of the House of Intuition online store. I love the candles and I was so excited to visit this store while on vacation. But I was followed around the whole time. I am Black and was the only customer there. I told them a few times that I didn't need help and that if I did, I would let them know. Since one guy kept following me, I spoke to him about the candles and he told me that he didn't believe in their power and that he makes his own candles. It was odd to not endorse the stuff the store sells. And it dampened my excitement. I still bought my items, but I wanted more time to think about buying a grimoire-type journal there. After my purchase, I told them I was going to see more of the area outside, and would likely come back in. I went outside for like 5 min, I was still in front of the store, and decided to buy the journal. When I got back in, the guy at the store was smudging the store with sage! Incredibly rude and it felt racist. I was only kind and bought more than $100 worth of merchandise. They knew I was coming back soon so it felt performative. I have no idea if he still works there or not, but I hope he doesn't because it will only hurt the reputation of this store. When I got home I decided to smudge all of the materials I bought to get his energy off of it.

I took my niece who was looking for tarot cards. We were followed around the store on and off. I was told that the necklace I purchased would be 17 inches long but when I opened it at home, it was about 7 inches. Also, when it was time to pay I noticed he didn't card the white lady who paid before me but he asked for my ID because I was using a debit card. Never going back.

First time at this location & will definitely be back! So calming & welcoming. Honestly, what I needed as I struggle a bit this Sunday. Sitting in front of the Buddha with running water writing this review, ahhhh. Customer service was top notch, Manny offered to help me from the get-go as I shared with him what stones I was looking for from my workbook, which I highly recommend buying if you're into chakras; it's from Knock Knock. Then, they nicely wrapped my stones in cute little bags. Thanks HOI. P.S. you have to walk upstairs to get to the entrance.

Very lovely place with an immediate calming aura! My only critique would be that the crystals are a little high priced for how small they are, of course it varies but many could be found elsewhere larger for the same price. The employees are always so kind and helpful with heaps of knowledge and as well are very accommodating with plastic free packaging. Always a pleasant experience!

When I visit Los Angeles it's a must to go to House of Intuition. I've pretty much visited each location and this one has to be one of my favorites, it's so intimate and the staff is so friendly.

Horrible reading from Ryan. I don't know what happened to this place I used to treat myself to a reading once a year from one of their readers. They were normally pretty interesting people down to earth. Maybe they have changed management because the current person who reads there is bitter and hostile. He made me feel so sick and sad for spending $100 on that place. He didn't even give me a reading. He literally didn't even care about my situation. He was cruel he was rude and rushed. He was insulting, and he actually just made me cry. He was so verbally abusive. I have not returned and I never will. I don't recommend.

I have been dying to check out this place! It's such a find... I'd like to meet the person that can go there and not buy something. Actually, I probably wouldn't like that person very much - because this place is fabulous. It's up a steep flight of stairs, so know that - comfy shoes or careful walking in your heels! It smells delicious and is full of so many lovely things. Of course I didn't need another oil burner or more lemongrass oil (my house "signature scent"). And I don't need more candles - but I feel like I do. So I had to get some. Because they're so pretty. Like crystals? They've got you covered. Books on spirituality? All there. Need help finding out what the heck namaste is? The staff will be more than happy to help you and you can even book a spiritual guide that will get you there. I left with a lot of beautiful things - including a new black skull candle. Because I in fact DID need another one of those.

One of my favorite places to get candles at. I absolutely love the energy inside the house of institution in Sherman Oaks that's the one closest to me so I go there a lot great service the staff is great great atmosphere

This is an amazing place, with an abundance of stones, candles, incense, oils, sage, and everything else you might desire for spiritual needs. Note: They sell "cages" you can put your desired stone in and wear as a necklace, and they sell Japanese incense (I ran out of Japanese incense, and had been looking all over for more). I was assisted by Ryan who was very nice, knowledgeable, and thorough. I felt very comfortable following his suggestions, and was able to purchase a variety of items for spiritual cleansing, including a Purify candle, and Rosemary sage. I also bought Cascarilla powder, something I've never heard of until now. However, Ryan explained all of it's spiritual uses to me, and how to use it for purification and protection. I never thought I would feel so comfortable in a place like this, let alone purchase things so spiritually profound and mysterious to bring into my home, and into my Being, but I appreciated the experience, and felt very connected. Makes me wonder if perhaps my ancestors were speaking to me, and connected me to this place. I highly recommend coming here. You'll receive everything you need, and you won't be disappointed. Now, the only downside is that apparently they don't have a "public restroom". Given that this is such a special place and may require people to spend a lot of time exploring, learning, and understanding psychic and spiritual energies, a restroom is necessary. I walked in and asked the girl working if I could use the restroom, and I'm sure she could see the urgency on my face. However, she referred me to a coffee shop at the end of the block which cost me $5 on a drink I didn't need, want, or like. Instead, I would love to have paid that $5 to Ryan as a tip in appreciation for his assistance. Sadly, one fallen star.

This place always opens late. I'm here at 10:20 am and the person opening the shop is late as per usual. Never coming back to this dump again.

This place is so nice and calm we got a lot of cool crystals there and they were so pretty we also got a incense holder and it was probably the best one we have I am so glad that we came here definitely coming again.

My first time a couple weeks back was very nice- a peaceful and mindful Saturday. The staff, Manny was just helpful and chillax. Parking on the street was a tad challenging but wasn't too bad. If you have an injury or disability, visit a different location as this one does have a big staircase- that said it was super chill and peaceful on top. Take that moment to meditate and have a moment of mindfulness. Ask questions- center your energy work. Focus on what you desire and want to manifest. I bought a success candle and some oil but I had plenty of future wants and went to the Melrose location a couple weeks after when I was in that area.

If you're interested in the metaphysical world or simply like pretty crystals, HOI is an LA institution with multiple locations scattered around the city- but this is the main hub. It's located inside a converted house on a hill that looks over Sunset Blvd- the stairs leading up to the shop and tranquil sitting area with a small fountain are meditative and psyche you up for your entry into all things mystical. I've been several times and most recently visited for their "witching hour" Black Friday sale (midnight to 3 a.m.) where the majority of the shop's contents were nicely discounted. They have their own brand of candles for different objectives scented with essential oils and small crystals inside- abundance, healing, money, purity, romance, love, House blessings...They also have a large array of crystals from prehnite to amethyst- their prices are a bit higher than you can find elsewhere, but they're beautiful! Essential oil mists are another one of my favorite purchases from here- they have single note mists as well as earthy and uplifting blends- Glow is a nice mix of citrus and cloves. They also carry metaphysical books, teas, jewelry, bells, incense, sea salt lamps...I haven't had a reading here yet but they're also an option- as well as drop in classes or longer term courses. The workers are usually friendly and kind, and they have definitely stepped up there branded items and making a name for themselves beyond LA with their merchandise and mystical vibes. Definitely stop by if you're in the Echo Park/Silver Lake area- free parking is usually easy to find right on Sunset.

Make sure you pay attention to the prices. I purchased over 250 dollars worth of items today. I didn't question it until I got to my car and looked at the receipt. Items that were tagged 37 dollars became $54 stones that were 2-4 became $5 or $6 and so on. This is NOT ok!

It took me a while to do this review due to how shocked and taken aback I was by my experience last weekend. I am new to the LA area, and I have been in search for a great spiritual shop to get my crystals and needs such as incense, Florida water, etc on a consistent basis. When I googled House of Intuition and saw the reviews- I instantly followed them on IG. On IG I got so excited to visit and take an Aura photo. When I went in the Aura machine wasn't present it was at another location. (they move it around) Also, I was very disgusted by the customer service I received and the energy of the cashier Diana- who was the only one present at the shop this Sunday. Not only did Diana not engage with me and my out of town guest(which was humiliating bc I raved about this place and built up excitement) She thought it was ok to engage with another customer, while having very low vibrations towards us. She then told the other customer "I'm waiting for these girls to finish up so I can get a lavender latte down the street" I made a comment that it sounded good- and was ignored as she continued to smile and engage with the other customer. We felt rushed and unwelcome due to us being black women- and for her to refer to 2 women as girls is completely unacceptable- she said it about 3 times. Not only was she rude, her energy was very low and off and it's scary to experience that when your in one of the lowest vibrational areas in LA at a spiritual shop where you should be sharing love and light. She also took it upon herself to touch one of my crystals As she rung me up and take her finger nails to scratch off the price tag very aggressively- she only did it with one stone, and when I came in the day before, the 2 ladies who helped me did not touch the crystal in such a manner, they left the price tags in tact. I honestly don't want to even use it anymore, so it was a waste of money, and my time. I was also taken aback by how pricey the Florida water and soap is- when you can go to a local Botanica and purchase for tremendously cheaper. I will never be back to any House of Intuition- and I hope that the managers or owners do a better job at genuinely picking staff, so EVERYONE feels welcomed! Experiences matter and this experience has turned me off from the whole company and what it actually represents. If you are woman of color I would highly recommend looking in the South LA area for authentic spiritual shops, shop online with black owned business who carry similar products , purchase from a healer, or find a botanica- there's many in this area- I would hate for you to experience what I have. The Instagram is nice to look at, and its a cute shop. But Spirituality is real and not just for show or to decorate your home with cute stones.

I met a wonderful young man named Josue at the front desk who was so incredibly helpful and truly had a knowledge and passion for what he does. The energy he carries is pure and so silky smooth. It's rare to find people like this in retail. HOI has been my go to for years as the owners are very intune over the products they carry and the do so with integrity. I'm so grateful that HOI exists and even more grateful that they care enough about their customers to employ quality people. Josue needs a raise! THANK YOU HOI for being you. :)

I've shopped at a few of the different locations and it's always been a great experience - friendly staff, comfortable environment, and quality curated products. Because of my experience, I decided to give myself an early birthday gift with a natal chart reading. I was hesitant at first because I was recently laid off and didn't want to spend the money, but I thought this would be an important investment. I booked my reading about 2 weeks in advance and per HOI's request, I provided my info. https://houseofintuitionla.com/pages/astrology-reading "An astrology reading requires your time of birth, date and location. When you book your appointment, please give this information to the front desk. Appointments need to be booked 48 hours in advance so your information will be ready for your reading." The staff member who booked my appointment was kind and when I called 2 days before my appointment to confirm, that staff member was kind and both of them reiterated my info that was needed. My reading was with Christa, who was insightful and pleasant - no complaints. But when we started she asked for my DOB, time of birth, and location since she said she was given the info prior. I thought this was odd as it was 2 different staff members verified it, plus it's stated on their website. It may or may not have made a major difference with the results of my reading, but I was disappointed as I had hoped that this would give the reader more time to prepare, and perhaps even more insights, and really making the most of the appointment time frame. I was being mindful with booking in advanced and following their request - but I felt a bit cheated. I guess I had expected better service quality based on my positive previous experiences. i love coming in this store. AND i always thought it was just the weho location. turns out there's a bunch, and one is even in my hood! (arts district, noho) this is a one-stop shop for everything spiritual and new age. whether you're just looking for some hippie decor, want to learn about crystals, are looking to actually read up on and get started with meditation or magick, or need a healer. there's so much this store has to offer, it's almost overwhelming at first! but that's where the helpful staff comes in. every staff member i've met at multiple locations now, has been sweet, friendly, and helpful.

I love walking up the steps and opening the door to pure joy. They have a great selection of books, incense, essential oil sprays, candles, crystals... I have also gotten little little stones for gifts, windchimes and dream catchers. It's just nice to walk into a place with such good vibes on a Saturday afternoon and feel so relaxed as you walk around and inhale the good energy of the place. You can sit outside at a little table they have with running water and just 'be' for a few minutes. I love all the classes that they offer. And their instagram is good to follow too. They have awesome sales throughout the year where you can get a great deal on most of what they carry. Melrose location vibe is a little different, feels more just like a store. But this feels like a nice little holistic wellness center.

I really liked this place, have been going for the past 4 years, but had a very poor experience when I went in to request for them to repair or replace a bracelet I have had for 2 weeks. They told me they didn't have anything to repair the bracelet and they were unwilling to replace or discount another. :( v sad

WE LOVE THIS! Brian is magical. He curated an incredible journey for us and walked us through all of the healing and powerful treasures here....and they work. Brian is so warm and welcoming and catered the experience to our needs and interests. He's truly invested in making sure that you leave satisfied. I continue to tell everyone I love about House of Intuition in general and Brian in particular. If only the world was full of Brian's and our homes full of goodies from the House, what a wonderful world it would be.

I am so happy that I found this place. The moment my boyfriend and I drove by this place we knew we would love it. I particularly felt so good once I stepped foot into this place. They had so many different candles, oil, in-scents. I was in heaven. Ever since I have moved out on my own, it is so important to have good energy and yummy smelling scents around the house. They had so many options and they even had rocks and some jewelry. One thing I noticed is that they were a bit over priced, but I kind of expected that hence the area we were in. This review was from a while ago, but I never posted it. I do remember parking wasn't the best- my man had to drop me off - look for parking and that was a kind of a bummer- he would've loved coming inside with me to look at all the cool stuff they have.

1st interaction w HOI was during the holidays at Melrose location-had friendly and accommodating staff. Here on Sunset, I guess they're not used to having people like me walk in. Was watched like a hawk-guess they thought I was going to steal lol. The fake busywork is not fooling anyone when I see all eyes on me. Spent more than I should have and won't be back. Do better. Thanks!

Alway come through here great selection of stones crystals as well as books and tarot

I actually really like this store. It's really neat and clean and there is a healthy amount of candles and essential oils. It's a little pricey, but...meh...already made my purchase which I'm really happy about.

I recently realized that I had a lot of old energy that I wanted to clear out for the new year, and welcome the many new shifts in my life with open arms and positivity. Of course, I turned to Yelp to find a reputable place to have a tarot reading and purchase sage for smudging my home. I have my own tarot deck, but I haven't had a reading from someone else in a very long time. Well, it was over due, but well worth it. I called the day before to book a 30 minute appointment with Christine. It costed $60, which is a little expensive (for me) excluding gratituty, but it was a special occasion type of thing. She was very receptive and did a wonderful job reading the cards and offering advice. I highly recommend seeing her. Before I left, I picked up a sage and yerba santa smudging stick ($12) to cleanse myself and my home. I will definitely return for some of the other things that they had available to purchase here. I'm excited to try the candles eventually!

Yesterday evening I purchased two Orgone crystals at the Sunset location. This was a purchase made on impulse and after I got home and did a little more research on the man-made crystals, I discovered I should probably do more research before I bring them into my home. With no opinion either way, I just wanted to return them until I researched the properties and uses of Orgone Crystals further. I was not given a receipt, which I found odd, and when I came to the store today, to my dismay, was informed they have a zero return policy. I would have happily taken a store credit for purchase of other items as I am an avid crystal collector, however, that was not an option either. Unfortunately now I will not return for fear of not being able to exchange. I do understand certain items such as candles or tarot cards but for items like crystals or the Orgone pieces, this policy does not add up. As a business owner myself, I always put my clients first and foremost because I want them to have the best experience possible and speak of my services positively to others. I cannot say now that I will return, nor will I be able to recommend House Of Intuition to other friends.

Always leave here feeling energized and happy. However yesterday was different, I frequent the Echo Park store and never ran into this lovely woman, I was told her name is Xicailli - very intuitive and such a peaceful, enlightened woman with amazing light and energy. I regret not spending more time and listening to her. Maybe she gives classes or readings? @HOI... If anyone knows or sees her please enjoy her space and time she gives you. She's rare and works all the store locations. So crossing paths is a definite blessing. Can't wait to cross paths with her again.
