Google
Super cute place with delicious, affordable food and quick service. Highly recommend for anyone, including vegetarians.

Google
Had a great experience, but very dish dependent. Broccoli wok with beef and shrimp was delicious, good portion and the beef was not fatty at all. Duck Curry was very spicy (which they warned about, so can’t remove stars) and the duck had skin and fat on it. Wouldn’t get the curry again, but absolutely loved the wok dish, ambiance, and service. They were very flexible and accommodating. Careful with spice level!

Google
Good but wildly inconsistent. Doubled up on dumplings tonight and they’re unrecognizably overcooked (and served in a bag now?) same for the crab Rangoon. And any dish with sliced chicken is clearly overboiled separately (and earlier) and thrown in.

Google
Place was empty on a Sunday night, but that only proves how many people don’t realize what a gem this is. Everything included all of the delicious sauces was a treat for the taste buds! The chicken satay was the best I’ve had, with crispy charred edges and incredible peanut sauce. The Thai basil chicken fired rice (we ordered the slightly milder version) was an explosion of flavor. The bbq pork was spot on and complimented by the very sticky rice and amazing sweet chili sauce. Excellent service and great prices!!

Google
authentic Thai food at a very affordable price point! absolutely delicious wonton soup and perfect Thai tea. staff is ridiculously kind and friendly. absolutely will be coming back!

I got the pad see u for lunch, it was pretty good! The table is nice (looks pretty clean). The server lady could've been nicer ngl

Google
Excellent South End staple. Pad Thai is solid, as is the rest of the menu. People are terrific and delivery exceptional.

I went many times during my contract @ the Huntington. Excellent and consistent across the board. So grateful for their excellent food and service. Got busier as the fall season progressed

Yelp
House of Siam is a great local spot for some quality Thai food. Ordered the shrimp pad Thai. It was flavorful and saucy. Not dry at all with the perfect amount of sweetness!

Nan K.

Yelp
Classic Thai American menu with many drink options! I like the saketini and the fried rice I got. The crab Rangoon was flavorful and comforting too.

Olaedo E.

Yelp
My sister used to order from here regularly when she worked in the area so I've eaten here often. It has become one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Boston. The customer service is great, as well. When you ask for spicy, they really know how to deliver. I love the salmon basil sauce (don't forget to order your white rice). Their spring rolls and noodles are really yummy too!

Allie S.

Yelp
Ran into this place after my first choice for a late brunch had a line out the door. The place looked cozy and quiet by comparison with just a few customers. I opted for the beef pad see you. The noodles had great flavor but unfortunately the beef was bit too tough. Staff was friendly and attentive throughout my meal.

Fern G.

Yelp
I ordered the shrimp pad thai and was very specific NO CHICKEN - full of Chicken. I used to order take out from her and thought I'd give them an other chance but now I'm done. I'll get my Thai food somewhere else

Yelp
Its neatly settled in South End. I had the pleasure of visiting with a group from work. We had reservations and were promptly seated upstairs. The loft-like set up is relatively airy and absorbs some of the natural light from the door. It's perfect for a group as large as 25 or as small 10. If you prefer more of a street view, opt for downstairs seating. The service was prompt and the food was fresh. Appetizers were brought right on time and there is an array of menu items. My party was pleased with everything from the duck to seafood entrees. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant is modest with a hint of charm.

Yelp
My personal Thai restaurant default is pad thai. Yes, I'm just like many another diner. House of Siam is located in Boston's South End, on Columbus Ave. So when I tried looking for parking, there wasn't any. At least along side the sidewalks. But a car was parked on the center cobblestone. So while I wasn't about to be first, I was willing to risk parking next to the other car on a Sunday evening for a quick pop in for my take-out order. Their version of the ubiquitous noodle dish, Pad Thai (The most famous Thai noodle dish, rice noodles pan-fried with eggs, chicken, shrimp, scallions, beans sprouts and ground peanuts) $12.95 was pink. Very pink. So pink, it made me a bit nervous to try it. But fortunately, it tasted fine. It also came with three good sized meaty shrimp, although the slices of white meat chicken were on the dry side. Makes me wonder just how many shrimp come in their shrimp Pad Thai though, for the extra $2. Maybe I'll try their Pad CU or Pad Woon Sen next time. 2021 visit *** I ordered their Thai Fried Rice (Stir-fried chicken, shrimp, broccoli, onions and tomatoes) and Pad Woon Sen (Pan-fried glass noodles with egg, chicken, shrimp, snow peas, green and red peppers, tomatoes, celery, bean sprouts and scallions) ($12.95 each) and a Thai Ice Tea $3.50 to go for dinner. I appreciated that they labeled the two plastic food containers and stuck a piece of tape over the x where you insert the straw. Everything made the trip well! While both dishes contained the same three tender shrimp and dry slices of white meat chicken as my previous Pad Thai experience, the vermicelli dish did lots better on the veggie score, while the rice looked pretty barren in the first look since onions tend to blend in, and the tomato may not have made it in, unless it had melted into the dish? Flavors were good though! And I fully enjoyed their Thai Ice tea. Maybe I'll try their Eggplant Delight (ground chicken may fare better), Tofu Delight, and Vegetable Fried Rice sometime. The Thai Ice Tea and Pad Woon Sen bear repeating. 2022 visit

Yelp
Solid Thai spot with the classics. I tried the drunken noodles with tofu, medium spicy, and also tried my friend's drunken noodles with beef, spicy level. I didn't think I had great spice tolerance, but it was really not too different, so if you're someone who likes spice, just go for the Thai spice level :) I did think that the flavor was pretty good and was fine with my level of spice, though! I wish there were more kinds of vegetables (bamboo, broccoli), but I appreciated the size and quantity of noodles. The tofu had a good taste and texture, but the pieces were a bit dry/holey on the inside. I think House of Siam is definitely decent for takeout/noodle cravings, but I wouldn't travel to come here.

Hursuong V.

Yelp
Pretty good! I really liked the fried tofu and the tod mun appetizers, as well as the chicken dang dang entree (love a good, spicy yet creamy curry). It's disappointing how you have to pay for rice separately, though, which is always a turn off at Asian restaurants. They have a variety of dishes from more authentic to more Western. Service was alright - it took a while for our dishes to be made. Doesn't seem to be too busy but maybe they get a lot of takeout or delivery orders. Also noticed that our table cloth wasn't super clean but could just be one spot. Overall, food-wise, definitely a solid place to satisfy cravings for Thai food!

Carlie C.

Yelp
Had a delicious meal at House of Siam the other night! The food is incredible and has one of the more authentic Thai menus in Boston. I had the Vegetables with Tofu which had a delicious sauce; the Tofu was also cooked perfectly and it came with. a great assortment of vegetables. The staff was super attentive and service was really great. While the interior of the restaurant is super cute and has potential, the ambiance was a little awkward when I went as there was only 1 other table seated when we went at prime dinner time on a Friday.

Tarcisio F.

Yelp
Great food and very consistent, love love love love. I would eat there everyday, really

Gio B.

Yelp
My colleagues love this place - so I thought why not try it. In all fairness - I have only had their pad thai and Thai Tea - both delicious. It is nice and cozy inside but I always take my order to go. Service is fast. No complaints there. Thus 5 star.

J K F.

Yelp
Marginal food, marginal service. There are much better places in the South End. The host ignored my request and I was over charged.

Jess F.

Yelp
Best Thai food in all of Boston. Tastes just like the food I actually ate in Thailand. I love their Tom Yum soup and yellow curry. They honor your modification requests which seems to be very rare these days!

t h.

Yelp
So been eating here almost since it opened, 20 plus years ago. Food was consistently excellent. Owner since past and food quality has slid. Maybe a chef change or ingredients cheaper? Staff is meh. Not the same.

Meta P.

Yelp
I only come here for the Iced Coffee because the food is disgusting, but now they have a credit card limit all of a sudden. I don't carry cash because it's 2023 and I'm not going to an ATM for a cup of coffee. Adios Amigos!

Iris L.

Yelp
My go-to Thai place from now on. Good food, fast delivery service, and everything was as ordered.

Joan S.

Yelp
I have been visiting this location for many years and the food had been okay but a little oily. Today, the food was delicious. The Crab rangoon was delicious. The Wok Shrimp with broccoli was fresh and tasty--the broccoli was cooked perfectly. And the drunken noodles with tofu was also really good--in the past it had been uncomfortably spicy hot. Good job House of Siam. It looks like they have reduced their menu selections from past years and now the items remaining on the menu are much better,

Kimberly V.

Yelp
This has become one of my favorite to go places in Boston, it is so quick and convenient for me to quickly pick up pad see ew after class. I just moved to Boston from Southern California so finding authentic food has been harder than I thought, but this tastes just like all of the places back home. My roommates will sometimes get Thai food from other restaurants but the flavor always seems a little off. The food I get at House of Siam has always been so good, the char on the noodles is great and the crunch of the broccoli is amazing. The ratio of sauce to noodles is perfect. If you're ever craving Thai food this is the place to go!

MoneyMakerMac Eats ..

Yelp
The best place ever! I adore house of Siam and I've been coming here my whole life and I have not ONCE been disappointed! I am so proud to be a loyal customer. This the the best food with consistent quality you'll EVER get in Boston! Recommend a billion times over! Thank you!

Wayne M.

Yelp
House of siam is the best! Generous servings of the tastiest food on the planet! I love the Thai chicken soup ( hold the mushrooms ) , siam rolls and the chicken dang dang with thai iced tea . Keep up the good work HOS!!

Arden V.

Yelp
BEST PAD SEE EW EVER, the service isn't anything spectacular, but the food is amazing, the gyozas are outstanding. The homemade lemonade was a wonderful surprise. The fresh food is the best around and at a good price, huge portion sizes.

Sidi W.

Yelp
pad see ew is my all time favorite comfort food and House of Siam just does this dish SO WELL. Even though this dish is just noodles with none of the delicious chicken veggies and fried egg I would still eat it everyday because the sauce is THAT good. The sauce coats the wide chewy rice noodles so perfectly. I also get tofu pad see ew from them some times and it's also wonderful. During covid I see a lot of people getting takeout from there and don't really understand the poor yelp rating because it is super busy for takeouts.

Gregory H.

Yelp
I'm new to Boston and was sad to give up my go-to Thai restaurants. Luckily, House of Siam delivers. The best part: when you ask them to make their noodle dishes Thai spice, they do it. And it's incredible/

Janet R.

Yelp
Since moving to the Back Bay area in April 2021, we have only ordered our Thai meals from House of Siam and very seldom experience issues (like meals being incorrectly prepared)... Our family of three right now usually get the same couple of dishes including the Pad Thai and the Thunder Chicken, the Pad Woon Sen and the Basil Fried Rice, and the Dang Dang Chicken or the Green Curry Tofu... All of them are reasonably priced at $16.95, and all portions seem pretty large. We love this place so much that even after moving from Boston and ending up in Somerville with lots of traffic to always consider, we still continue ordering from them and accepting the delays that can add about 20 extra minutes to the drive... Tonight, we were seriously craving Thai food and just decided to ignore the back-ups to get our order from them, but unfortunately, I didn't learn til around ten PM that my elderly mom's dinner had no spice and that they forgot to include a side cup of Spicy Chili Sauce... We definitely requested it in the notes section, and not having it really made the dish "bland" according to her... Sadly, she just didn't want to complain by even mentioning it, so she ended up munching on popcorn instead. I plan to reach out to House of Siam tomorrow afternoon to explain the situation and remind them of who we are and that we have been longstanding customers of their restaurant, and hopefully, they will make it right. UPDATE: I reached out to House of Siam and they did agree to replace the bland Pad Woon Sen, but the gentleman I spoke with was still pretty argumentative... He acknowledged that they didn't have the spicy chili sauce in stock, but he just wouldn't address the fact that the restaurant should have called us to see if we then wanted them to prepare the dish with at least some mild spice... It was absurd for them not to do anything! The gentleman/manager also had the audacity to ask if my mom ate any of her dinner... As I said to him, "she clearly ate a bit of her meal to be able to see that the dish was not flavored and had no cup of hot sauce, and besides, it was her dinner and she was obviously hungry". Mind you, my mom did have more than 3/4 of her entree remaining, and we made sure to bring it back with us to show them. Even though I had clearly stated that our other two meals (the Pad Thai and the Green Curry) were well spiced and that there was zero issue with them, the gentleman still felt the need to stress that he would only replace the Pad Woon Sen. WHAT??? We never asked for anything else. Anyway, although we received another in exchange for the original, and that the dish was nicely spiced this time, we will likely not go back primarily due to his poor attitude. Had he just apologized and acknowledged that he really should've phoned to let us know he didn't have the chili sauce for us to add, we definitely would have requested it be made with spice. It honestly seemed as if the gentleman just needed to show his authority and that he had the upper hand. Typically, the food is very good so this actually disheartens me not to continue going there and to write a negative review about them on Yelp.

Tiffany M.

Yelp
We came in at lunch time. We ordered the crab rangoons, the garlic beef and a chicken dish that was dusted with curry with peanut sauce on the side. The crab rangoons tasted like a yellow curry inside of a fried wonton. I'm use to a cream cheese/crab filling. Perhaps they gave us the wrong item. The sizes of all items were too small for the price. The quality of the meat was subpar, thin and the beef was dry. The chicken was better but hard to share since the portion was so small. This place was recommended to us and I'm sorry to say it was not even in the category of good Thai food, let alone best Thai food. Disappointed.

Shaquille A.

Yelp
Came here multiple times and the food has alwAys been great. The crab rangoon has curry in it and it's delicious! Honestly, my favorite dish may be the Kad Pow Phuket but everything is good. The business is very quiet and often not packed so it's a great place for a date, to catch up, or just grab dinner/takeout. My only complaint - the last few times I've gone in person to get a thai iced coffee, my coffee had coffee grinds in it, but when I order on uber eats it doesn't usually happen. Food for thought.

Mer B.

Yelp
Atmosphere? Excellent! Food? Stellar! Service? Quick and easy! A wonderful place to go when you're hungry for Thai food.

Joanna J.

Yelp
I love a Thai Iced as well as Pad Thai so I went in and ordered a crispy chicken and shrimp Pad Thai with a Thai Iced. When I got my order, the noodles were crispy instead of the chicken. There was also a curry type sauce that I just hated. I wouldn't recommend but I'm sure there are other menu items that won't be a disappointment as much as this was. My waitress saw I hadn't eaten the plate and asked to box it up. When I said please no, she didn't offer to remove the price or ask why I didn't like it. My Thai Iced was exceptional although I've never had that get messed up. I truly wish I checked Yelp before I sat to eat here. They definitely care about presentation since my food was plated beautifully.

Allison T.

Yelp
They must have changed the pad Thai recipe since I used to get it in 2019 because this new pad Thai is basically angel hair pasta with pink peanut sauce. Very disappointing. The pad se ew was great but the portion wasn't even filled up in the container. The Siam fried rice was great too. The fried dumplings lacked flavor and were almost burned

Kevin C.

Yelp
They are Asian and don't know how to do math. They had 20% tip because we had 5 people. BUT they then taxed our tip and when I asked why the math was done this way there was a really poor response...food was also mediocre

Brian M.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying that taste-wise, this place is closer to a 4-star. Every place is allowed a bad night, so I will do my best to have this score drift upwards as I eat here in the future without problems That said -- I live very close to one of these locations, and I made my order online. I live so close that I paused my movie and ran out without a jacket or hat to get my food. Problem one: the online system somehow sent my order to the location 5 blocks away. So, now I'm cold, my food will be cooled, and I will have less than a great experience. Problem two: the online system didn't record part of my order, and I didn't catch it in the email summary. So, now I will return home with less food than I expected, that is not quite as warm, and I will be cold. Problem three: when I open up the rice (and why did every Asian restaurant decide about 5-10 years ago that an order of rice shouldn't be a pint, but a half-pint? Have they ever ate Asian food and rice? Does a half-pint actually accomplish the task? I guess I can blame this on the stupid low-carb hype. btw Rice is about the cheapest food in the world.)... but I digressed. When I opened up the rice, it was brown on top. Guess they decided to scrape the pot for my little bit of rice. Or that's what I thought until I dumped it out and a bit of red sauce came with it. Looks like food can get cross-contaminated in that kitchen. In summary, the entree is tasty enough, and close enough, that I will eat here again. I do hold a restaurant responsible for not contracting with a better online-order company, but I can double/triple check my order in the future. I'll just store them in the part of my brain reserved for a bag of food at a drive-thru. I'm glad I'm not allergic to anything, and I eat everything, or the rice could've been a huge deal.

Brianna L.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I moved to the South End in September and we have been either coming here or ordering take out weekly since. The food is absolutely delicious. I am celiac and they are so careful and cautious with my food. I absolutely love all their curries and the fresh rolls. My boyfriend has been trying a new dish every week and has loved all of them. You truly cannot find better thai food in the city. Great portions and great prices! We love it here!

Alysa T.

Yelp
Clean, friendly, and affordable. Was able to customize the order for us. Best authentic thai food I have had in a while!

Anna X.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by and had dinner here last night. We were promptly seated because it wasn't very packed. That made for a very calm and quiet atmosphere, which matched the decorations, table set-up and dimmed lighting (I wish they could've upped the lighting a bit! However, you could still see fine, though). I decided to go with the tofu pad thai (tofu triangles, egg, bean sprouts) and my friend had the regular pad thai (shrimp, chicken, vegetables). Both dishes were $10.95 each. My friend and I agreed that our dishes boasted a lot of flavor- it was so saucy and savory!! I was pleasantly surprised because some of the pad thai I've had in other places lacked in the flavor department. Everything mixed together so well- the scrambled eggs were soaked in sauce, the tofu triangles held up well and was nicely fried on the outside, nicely tender on the inside, and the peanuts were crunchy and tasty! I just wished the noodles tasted as good as everything else, however. There was an inconsistency in noodle texture- some pieces were a bit hard and tough to chew. Some of the noodles also tasted a bit stale which made me question its freshness. The service was attentive and the waitress was very, very nice, which made for a pleasant dining experience! I just wished the food matched up to that!

Moustafa M.

Yelp
***DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RESTAURANT*** _____ WORST restaurant in the city. I order seafood worth over $150, 70% of the order was White Rice, 25% vegetables, 5% seafood. For example. Their king of the sea plate, I found only 2 small pieces of shrimp. 1 tiny scallop and 1 tiny mussel. The rest of it was mainly rice... How much they sell it for?$15.5. They just want to Make money filling their orders with flavorless rice. avoid this restaurant. WORST RESTAURANT IN BOSTON. If I can give it NO STARS I would.

Diane S.

Yelp
Warning : this place has no air conditioning!! Went here on a Friday night with my friends. It was surprisingly pretty quiet. We ate family style and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were very warm though, and I think there are fans but there was no air conditioning when I was there. The food quantity and quality is pretty good, but it's not the best Thai food I have ever had. They do also offer beer and wine which is great. I don't know if I would come here again based on the prices, but Thai food is typically not cheap anyways.

Kimberlin B.

Yelp
Very friendly clean cozy quiet food is hot and good good for families try the fried dumplings and shrimp macadamia

Adam C.

Yelp
Excellent food for a reasonable price, and comparable to Siam Bistro and Thai Basil. Our first time at House of Siam, we ordered takeout -- both of us getting Chicken Pad See Ew and Thai Iced Teas, and splitting an order of Crab Rangoon. Their crab Rangoon is reminiscent of Thai Moon in Arlington -- with a lovely curry flavor that we've rarely tasted in a crab Rangoon. Will definitely be an order staple for us. The Pad See Ew was exactly what I expected. Carrot, chicken, Chinese broccoli, and wide flat noodles in a tasty sauce. There was much more chicken than most other places I've gotten this dish, which was a pleasant surprise. The flavor wasn't anything extravagant -- but exactly what I've come to expect from decent Thai restaurants. This dish has become comfort food for me; and I'm glad to have a great place close by. The Thai Iced Tea was also exactly what we expected. Second time around, we ordered Pad Thai, Spicy Chicken, and Pan Fried Siam dumplings. I asked for the pad Thai to be extra spicy -- which I think I'll pass on next time. It wasn't very spicy, and it tainted the flavor more than I would've hoped for. It almost tasted as if they used sriracha to add heat. Again, there was far more chicken than I had expected -- the noodles cooked perfectly. The flavor still wasn't bad, and I'd gladly order it again. The Spicy Chicken was incredible, with a complex flavor and enough heat to warrant its name -- still not quite spicy enough for us, but was far too tasty to be upset. The Siam Dumplings were delicious, especially in the sauce they come with. I was a little disappointed at the size and quantity of dumplings for the price, so I'd likely stick to the crab Rangoon unless I'm really craving dumplings. We still haven't been in to sit and eat -- but the food alone deserves the 4 stars. Definitely worth trying!

Sravya K.

Yelp
Boston is light on good Thai food so this hits the spot. Generous portions and there is depth in the flavor that I've had a hard time finding in other Thai spots around the city. Food is mild so ask for spicy if you can handle it. Adding this to my takeout rotation!

Mona B.

Yelp
If you like pad thai's this is not the restaurant for you. Maybe their other dishes are good?! We tried multiple of the pad thai's and all of them were horrible. I think they pickle their noodles..it looks like pickled cabbage & tastes nothing like noodles.

Rose F.

Yelp
Very reliable and delicious Thai food. I have been getting more carry out during the pandemic and am happy to go to House of Siam! I love the drunken noodles, and their Duck Basil is so indulgently delicious. Their spice levels can sometimes vary depending on the day, so if you're particular about spiciness I recommend specifically requesting a spice level. Yum!

Vlad V.

Yelp
I was visiting a friend in Boston and House of Siam was right around the corner so we decided to give it a try late night. We arrived about 35 minutes before closing time with a party of four and were asked if we could eat fast because they were closing in half an hour. While I understand everyone wants to get out of work on time, that's poor service. In my opinion, a restaurant should close when the last patron leaves and be happy they're there. While that turned us off a bit, the food was excellent. I didn't get very adventurous and ended up getting the pad thai but here's the kicker...duck pad thai! This isn't something I've ever seen at a Thai restaurant you usually have your standard chicken, beef, or shrimp if you're lucky. But yes, the duck was as good as it sounds. Pad Thai's all about the sauce and House of Siam delivered. Good portion size, I'd definitely come back again. Just as long as I come earlier!

Kevin G.

Yelp
Great service and great prices. The food is excellent. Great looking restaurant. Lots of people stopped by for takeout. Must be a favorite for the locals.

Van P.

Yelp
Forgot spoon and napkins for my order, when I come back and ask for them, they give me a bad attitude.

David E.

Yelp
Got really great takeout from this location. The flavors were what you would expect good Thai takeout to be. It was ready FAST. The staff was friendly and efficient. Definitely the best Thai takeout around.

Kristina S.

Yelp
Quite above average Thai takeout! The chicken satay skewers were huge, moist, and juicy, and the dipping sauces were super flavorful. We loved the pork dumplings, and the pad C U was really nicely done, not too greasy. Will definitely order again.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Had the green curry with tofu and pad kee mao (drunken noodles) with chicken. Both were good! Like someone else said, definitely above average Thai for Boston. We live around the corner and will definitely be back to eat there again when we're craving Thai food. The prices were appropriate as well.

Court P.

Yelp
A classic neighborhood take out spot. Have ordered from here many, many times and it's always great. Fast service, friendly staff and delicious food. Thanks House of Siam!
