Great food and customer service. I ordered a HAV burger and fries and a loaded fries. Everything tasted delicious. A bit pricey but the portions are decent and it tastes good so I treat myself when I’m able to as we should. Top notch vegan food truck in Houston.

The spicy chicken burger was incredibly delicious, though it seemed a bit pricey it was a very large portion. The wait time was long but accurately reflected on the text notifications when you place the order. Would love to go again and try more menu items

This was by far the BEST vegan cheeseburger I have tasted in a while! I wish there was a brick and mortar restaurant. Maybe one day! 😇 I will definitely come again and try something else on the menu! Blessings to ya’ll!

Tried this place today for the 1st time. It DID NOT disappoint. I ordered the Rodeo Burger with Mac and cheese. The person with me ordered the Magic City with fries. And everything was delicious. The mac and cheese has a Cajun type flavor and packs a kik in my opinion. I took off 1 star because I wish they had a non spicy version and I was looking for the more traditional tasting mac and cheese that's non vegan. But all in all I'm pleased and highly recommend. Update I tried the chicken sandwich with onion rings instead of fries. I was very disappointed my onion rings were so soggy and the batter was falling off of it. I went with someone and their fries were also soggy. I could have just left that off honestly. The onion rings had to be airfired to try to breathe life back into them. And I asked for no tomato and they gave me a tomato anyway. And it also was mushy. They also no longer have the cheese cake for those who had it and want more.

Very kind service and delicious food! Prices were appropriate and portions were generous. I appreciate the care and thoughtfulness of crafting the sandwiches. Hotlanta chicken sandwich had the right amount of heat, but was balanced well with the slaw and pickles. Fries were seasoned well. Mac and cheese had a great depth of flavor! Will be back next time I visit!

This has been one of my favorite spots for years, and it never disappoints. The food, service, and overall atmosphere are consistently top-tier. I’ve met the owner a few times, and he’s always been kind, respectful, and genuinely invested in making sure customers have a great experience. What I appreciate most is the consistency no matter who’s cooking, the food is always delicious and made with care. As someone who isn’t vegan, I never feel like I’m missing out when I eat here. The flavors and quality speak for themselves.

Tried it for the first time and it was okay. Just okay!! I’m not sure what the hype is about! One thing I noticed is how all my fried food tasted the same. I’m not sure when the last time they changed their oil, but by the discoloration, and taste of everything fried, I could tell they haven’t changed that oil for a while! The “ground beef” in my taco wasn’t even cooked all the way through-the Mac and cheese has a Smokey flavor, and I did like the Mac and cheese! And the people working didn’t look like they even wanted to be there! The atmosphere was below average, and the service was so robotic that it reflected in the taste of the food. This is my first and last time coming here!! If you are a true vegan that likes tasty food cooked properly, DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

I gave up red meat earlier this year, but have the occasional craving for a good juicy burger. Decided to try out their HAV burger, which didn’t disappoint. It looked and tasted just like the real thing! Was big and juicy, I couldn’t even finish the whole thing. I added bacon (extra $), but can’t really say I could taste the flavor—may opt to leave it off next time. As other reviewers have mentioned, it’s not cheap. I paid ~$26 for the burger with a side of onion rings. Yikes!

The burger looks good doesn't it? The fries look amazing right!? Ordered a entrée at the food truck. The food came out fast; within 15 minutes and it was hot. I get home wanting to devour it, took one bite and I hated it. I don't know if it was the sauce or the patty, but one of them had a barbecue Jays potato chip aftertaste; very distinctive and lingered with a spice. I only took 3 bites, $18 down the drain. The fries were better cold but still not good. I love a good vegan burger but this wasn't it. I don't think i would give it a 2nd chance review Try it for yourself!

Got the magic city sandwich with cheese and bacon. It was decent. I've had much better vegan chicken sandwiches, but it was good enough. The winner here was the fries. The waffle fries are nice and crispy, well seasoned, and overall delicious. Price definitely on the higher end. 20 bucks for a sandwich isn't anything to sneeze at. The location is really cool though. There's a few other vegan vendors and spots to get drinks, plus cool games and live music. Definitely a cool place to visit for vegans.

A M A Z I N G ! Love the loaded fries both the Buffalo and Black Hollywood ! Friendly smiles and great energy every time! They even remember Their customers even when I don't visit for a while which goes a long ways! Food is always consistent and delicious:) The strawberry lemonade is so refreshing sip after sip it's never enough as I always want more! Burgers and chk'n sandwiches are bomb too! Prepared by order and the wait time is fair for the preparation provided which is also noticeably made with lots of love! It's a vibe and I Love it here or there where ever They are I'll willing to drive! Found this food truck last minute. It's tough being the only vegetarian in a friend group but I'm fortunate they make stops for me. I ordered the hotlanta chicken sandwich with fries. The sauce on this sandwich is amazing!! Really pairs right with the sandwich. This sandwich alone I'd go back for but am really interested in trying more on the menu. Service was not super quick but there were a few orders ahead of me.

I've been going to this food truck for about 4 years now. It is hands down the BEST vegan hamburger. I also love their nachos, chicken sandwich, and loaded fries. This is my go-to vegan comfort food for sure!

Food, service and Ambience was all five stars ! From the time I walked in the door, it was first class treatment. The music was appropriate Neo Soul, not the loud hood music. Our servers paid a lot of attention to my party and did not even let our water glasses empty!

I have been wanting to try this place for years and I finally got my chance. I was headed to a different spot that I frequent and I saw the food truck park and BAM! HoustAtlVegan truck said, "come here girl." So I went. The guys that prepared my food were so friendly and wow, I was not expecting that huge sandwich. I couldn't even finish it. The patty was bigger than the bun. The bun was soft and fresh. The waffle fries werent overly seasoned. The sandwich wasnt too spicy. I could enjoy the flavors without my mouth burning.

I love supporting black owned businesses, especially when they are vegan! The founder/owner is a great guy and they do an even better job in the kitchen! Everything you eat is phenomenal; definitely give them a try if you see their food truck around!

Once I heard about Houstatlantavegan, I made my way to midtown/downtown (still learning my way around) to check it out. It's a food truck right in the middle of an empty lot. They don't take orders over the phone so we couldn't order ahead. But, you can place orders via Uber Eats or GrubHub. When we got to the truck, there was no line, which surprised me so we were able to place our order which took 15 minutes to prepare. The guys on the truck were super nice and suggested which items we should try. I went with the WAP-er, tacos and the chicken fries (I obviously ate this over the course of two three days). The burger was HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!! The tacos were the best, then the burger and the chicken fries came last. It was too soggy for me but everything was fuego. Now, I will say the food is NOT cheap haha. I was like sheesh $25 for some fake meat (I kid) but truthfully, produce is so expensive so I don't blame them for charging what they do. If you're in the area, please check them out. They also plan on opening a restaurant and I hope it's Uptown.

i usually eat really clean and i don't like eating expensive meals but i have been tempted to try this place for years. finally i gave in and got the buffalo loaded fries and when i tell you these the truth!! i absolutely mean it, the service was fast, the guy that took my order was kind and the food is delicious!!! worth every penny and will be my cheat meal location! they outdid themselves forreal.

Been waiting to go here a while! And...... yuck! Not a disrespectful yuck- just a I can't EVER do this much grease again yuck. I think this might be a good place if you want to tell yourself I ate vegan today and I'm on a journey to heal my body- BUT U REALLY not. To be fair, I don't eat junk food or fried food often. I ordered the loaded fries and had to try the Mac and cheese. Both just felt like I was taking bites of salt and grease. Don't like mayo and saucy pink stuff either so I set myself up for failure. The max was a 5 out of 10 - more like a vegan goulash taste - but very flavorful! I do think this would be a great spot if u like fast food. Now the service was next level! Courteous and made to order- smiles and all. I feel kind of bad because I knew when I rolled up this wasn't healthy. Houstatlanta Vegan, it ain't you- it's me. But I'm going to try again cause these photos look good AF! Maybe the chickn and waffles or the skrmp n grits will do me right!

Never open. Disappointed in how this place is never open on a consistent basis. How can you build your customer base and then leave them hanging‍?

Ive been meaning to get around & trying them! I had the double WAPER with fries. It was okay... I've had better vegan burgers. Ordered via door dash! I wouldn't get the burger again but I'd definitely order here again and try other things before giving a final opinion.

Well I'll be! I'm not vegan but I eat here alot. Their tacos have to be my favorite. They are well balanced have a nice toasty soft corn tortilla and are gluten free. The gluten free options is what brought me here because alot of vegan spots don't do gluten-free which is super important to me. I really admire this food truck and look forward to more delicious gluten-free options in the future. The homeade lemonade is delish aswell!

The food from this food truck is so freaking good and a decent portion size as well! They Buffalo chicken waffle fries were devoured! I had a non vegan friend try them and honestly they were 2 seconds away from being my birthday dinner of choice! Most food trucks are good, and lots of people recommend them and most of the time I leave disappointed by the flavor or quantity. This was not that experience. I loved ever bite, the menu, and the owners were pretty dope. I'll definitely hit them up again next time I'm in Houston! Happy findings!

The food, the food, OMG, the delicious food! I had the Hotlanta Chickin sandwich and it was so good that I could have inhaled this sandwich! Also, it's hard to go wrong with waffle fries and these are "done right"! My son had one of the other chickin sandwiches and enjoyed just as much. That said, why not give a 5 rating? We stood outside the HoustatlantaVegan truck for more than 5 mins before anyone even acknowledged our presence to say that they will be with us in a few minutes. I don't mind waiting, but, please me know that you care that I came. I like to include pics...but I literally gobbled this up before it crossed my mind to take a pic!

Absolutely the BEST vegan chicken sandwich I've ever had. Soooo crispy. The brioche bread was so soft. The slaw on the sandwich yummmm 10/10. The box sauce absolutely delicious and I'm not even a sauce person. The season fries were crispy and had good flavor to them. That slaw on the sandwich, damn so good! And that Mac is the best Mac and cheese I've had as a plant-based person. It's creamy, and has the right amount of seasoning. There's nothing bland about the Mac at all. I wish I lived closer but then again I've probably eat it all the time.

Just tried the truck last night and makes me want to become vegan lmao I need to be more disciplined and get creative in the kitchen. Probably the best vegan food I've tasted in my life and VERY flavorful. I definitely will be going back. Y'all now have a loyal customer !!

This food truck was nothing short of FANTASTIC. The whole experience was great honestly; just what you want out of a food truck. When we saw the truck from the street, we were a little worried because the area where the truck was parked looked so dark; we thought it was closed. Thank goodness we decided not to leave and to go check it out. Once we parked, we were delighted to see they were very much open. The little park/area where they are situated could use a bit more lighting but, I liked the vibe. There is a huge, pretty cool mural of some old white man on a wall. I think it's supposed to be God but we all know God is not an old, white man! God's not even a HE. But, I digress . You can park right next to the truck (or on the street) and eat in your vehicle if you wish, but there's also ample picnic table seating right under the mural of that old guy. We ordered our food and waited. The guy at the window said it would be about 15mins. They called us back in UNDER 15mins (awesome) and not a moment too soon because I was STARVING. Food breakdown and price: We ordered two burgers- beware, the menu doesn't say this but the burgers already come with fries. We ordered a side of Buffalo fries because we couldn't tell if fries came with the burgers (should of asked) no biggie though because we also wanted to try the Buffalo fries ($15). They also have another fancy fry side that I can't wait to try. I ordered the Rodeo Burger ($17) and my companion ordered the WAP ($22). We also ordered a dessert (two choc. chip cookies) and a pink lemonade. The total came to $65. Before you gasp, let me tell you, these burgers are huge and they give you a big portion of fries. The side of fries was also very big. The food was hot like good, fresh food should be! The burgers were both EXCELLENT. I mean that soft brioche bun, I could fall asleep on it! The burgers tasted so amazing and "real". I dare anyone to blind taste test with a real burger and pick the vegan burger out. The toppings on my burger included crispy fried onions and vegan bacon. The "bacon" was a bit chewy, almost jerky-like-but I really liked the flavor. The waffle fries were so hot, crispy and flavorful that I could've just eaten them alone! Omg. The Buffalo fries came topped with vegan "chicken" and all the other things that make Buffalo, well Buffalo. I enjoyed them but I'm not a huge fan of Buffalo anything. It was very tasty though. The cookies were standard, nothing to write home about, but delicious. The lemonade was also good. I loved this food truck so much and I can't wait to return. Houstalantavegan is by far my favorite Vegan restaurant. I usually don't like a full on vegan menu, I like to mix it up with a little vegetarian, because the dairy products usually make the vegan dishes a little better in my opinion. But this place knows exactly what to do to make it all come together. I ordered the Magic City Chik'n Sandwich and it made my taste buds want to throw money. I can't get it out of my head. It taste so good I didn't believe it was actually vegan food. I had to ask a second time just to make sure. They were super cool, and the service was great. Also try that strawberry lemonade, it won't make it out of the parking lot it's so good. My favorite sauce there is the box sauce. It taste like canes sauce, but better. I dipped everything in it. If you're new to being vegan or vegetarian start here, they show you that anything is possible! My only sadness came from when I wanted it on a Wednesday after I just had it on Sunday and found out that they close on Tuesdays and Wednesday, that really hurt my heart! But I will be having it again soon! By any means necessary!!!

HAV is the best of the best when it comes to vegan food trucks in Houston! They always have fun & creative menu items. One of my favorite things about HAV is the consistency. It's always top notch! My favorites are the Thick n Yella Mac & the Rodeo Burger! The Cascade Lemonade is so good & refreshing! I could go on & on! Just go see them! You won be disappointed!!!

Omg DELICIOUS! Honestly this is all I have to say. .. I am the type of person that likes to challenge my palette. I am all for vegan food but sometimes places just do not know how to prepare it right.. this food truck hits all the sensory levels, the chicken is crunchy, spicy, seasoned, flavorful, and the bread is absolutely perfect it is soft, chewy, pillowly , sweet, buttery brioche bun.. the fact that I now do not want to ever order a chicken sandwich elsewhere and I'm not even vegan is how you know they are fully on point . I do not even like coleslaw but they have transformed me but I will more than likely only eat theirs . I am eager to try other menu items soon. Also they give back to the community which is a awesome ! Thank you for being such an amazing , fresh , and unique establishment! Please do not ever stop serving delicious vegan food ! FYI this is the only pic I have because I just could not stop eating it !!

Everything is amazing. Never disappoints. My favorite is the nachos. Fully loaded and seasoned to perfection. I highly recommend this food truck.

All of the food was delish! We had the nachos, spicy chicken sandwich and the HAV burger. We will be back. Found it on yelp and drove to 2 different locations to get here. It was worth it.

My mista opted for @houstatlantavegan and what a choice I had the Hotlanta Chicken Sandwich (first 2-pics) w/ waffle fries & a side of the Thicc & Yella Mac (vegan mac' n cheese)... While he had the Magic City Chicken Sandwich (w/ lemon pepper flavor) & a side of the Thicc & Yella Mac. Let me tell you something ... I've never cared for coleslaw but that sandwich I had with it on the sandwich was balanced with a nice kick of spice and whew chile -- it all jist hit different! Man oh man! Vegan friends, Vegan-ish friends (like me!), and anyone considering becoming Vegan. HAV is definitely worthy of being on anyone's list of vegan spots to check out. I have been following this spot on Instagram for a while and figured I would check it out when I had a movement. I decided to check them out on a Sunday evening right before the closed (unintentionally!). First, their customer service is stellar! I messaged them through IG to ask if I would still be able to order items on the menu if I arrived minutes before closing time. They replied almost instantly saying, "Yes!" They added that my order would be fresh too since all sandwiches are made to order. Cool! 20 minutes to get there...I headed out! 5 minutes until close...3 minutes before I would arrive, they messaged to ask me for my order so they could begin prepping it. I sent my order...arriving 3 minutes before closing (as Waze said I would). I paid and waiting briefly in my car (it was raining). One of the employees brought the order to my car! My order...Hotlanta Chicken Sandwich, fries, and a side of the 'Thicc & Yella Mac. First the sandwich - I am finicky about the texture/taste of plant based chicken. But this was GOOD! Bun was amazing, flavor of the 'chicken' was amazing, heat or spice wasn't bad, and the texture of the chicken was spot on...for me! The sandwich was a winner! Also the fries were seasoned waffle fries fresh out of the grease! Doesn't get any better than that. I waited til the next day to eat the mac&cheese! It is AWESOME!!! One of the best vegan 'Mac&cheese's I've had! And the amount is huge. I ate 3 servings from one order. Definitely a spot to check out! You have my vegan-ish word!

American comfort food for the win! Love the vibe HoustAtlanta provides, def one of the nicest/cleanest food trucks in the area! We had the incredible opportunity to enjoy HoustAtlanta's delicious food at the Vegan State Fair. We had the -Shrimp Po Boy -Hella Mac So good. My wife shared, "Best Vegan Mac in Houston!" Fire COVID Notes -Social distance & masks required. -Customer service was delightful, safe, and helpful -Ordering was effortless & smooth -No issues at all. The food was bomb! I'm not a vegan but I enjoyed the hell out of my H.A.V. burger. Everything taste fresh and was hot! The sauce they use, they better gone head and bottle it up asap! I'm not sure what "burger" brand they use but it's bomb. I feel like they make their own protein for some reason because I've had field roast and beyond meat before and it taste like neither of those. It taste like real meat bruh. I low key want to go back today I took video on my IG lol forgot pictures but the service was good and the food was even better! I will definitely go back!! Their food is always good. So far I've had the HAV, Nawfside Nachos and Chicken Sandwich. You won't believe it's vegan! Follow them on Instagram so you know where their truck is located each day and try them out. You won't be disappointed.

The vegan meat was dry, customer service is not the best. Also if you want to be "Hawked-Eyed" then this is the place for you! No refills on drinks because the service is not attentive! The lettuce was good.

If you see this truck around, drop whatever you are doing and go check it out! It is THE BEST vegan food in town! Plant based twist on traditional comfort foods: Mac n cheese, burgers, hot chicken sandwiches, nachos... I have tried most of the menu and EVERYTHING is delicious! Even my non-vegan husband gets excited when they pull up to our apartment complex. And FYI, the portions are huge! The owners are also really great guys. Very thankful to see our community is starting to embrace the plant based and vegan lifestyles!

Recently found out that I was corpse intolerant. Like most people I wasn't found of the vegan cheese or imitation products. BUT, let me tell you, Houstanatlantavegan does an extraordinary job at making food that not only looks good but tastes fantastic! If you're near by, check them out, it's so worth the wait!
