Today marks the first and only time that my wife and I will be ordering from Voss Catering. Not because the food wasn't good - we wouldn't know, since we never received it - but rather because the poor "customer service" offered by Shaun, the manager of the service.
My wife had ordered two meals for us online and received a confirmation email for her order at 5:51. Since we live in the Park at Voss apartment complex, we naturally assumed that we'd get our orders relatively soon. But this wasn't the case at all. After waiting nearly an hour, she called both of the numbers she had for Voss Catering and left voicemails when no one picked up the phone.
Shaun finally called back an hour after our initial order and before saying anything informed us that people usually called their orders in instead of ordering them online. If that's the case, we asked, then why offer an online ordering option? No response other than "that's fine" (which, of course, it wasn't). When we asked about the status of our order, Shaun said that he wouldn't be able to fulfill it because he didn't have a chef on hand to make the food. Of course, my wife had no way of knowing that information when she initially placed the order...had she known, she obviously would've gotten food elsewhere. But the most galling thing about the entire call is that Shaun never once offered his apologies for the inconvenience - all we got from him were alibis and excuses. More galling, he was blase about the fact that had given us terrible customer service and showed no interest whatsoever in addressing our justifiable dissatisfaction.
The experience we had ordering from Voss Catering, and in particular dealing with Shaun, was so negative that I would recommend that no one in the Park at Voss complex order food from them...unless, of course, they enjoy rude and frustrating customer service experiences. Maybe next time Shaun will take the time to run his business properly and treat his customers with the respect they deserve
