Today was my first time in years eating at Houston's, and I was quickly reminded how great they are. An excellent restaurant is more than good food, horrible service can ruin the whole visit. The service we received today was incredible. From the valet parking team to the hostess, Erma, and our awesome server, Rolanda. In addition to the great service, the food was amazing too. I recommend the Knife & Fork Barbecue Ribs and Ruby Red Trout, and the coleslaw was a really good side with both. Oh, and the valet is complimentary, and I suggest you make a reservation because they're always busy.

My girlfriend has been talking up this place for awhile and it ended up being just as fantastic as she claimed! Everything was incredibly delicious & the service was impeccable. Thanks for making the beginning of our evening wonderful & already can’t wait to come back to enjoy more Houston’s! 👩‍❤️‍👨🧑‍🍳😋

The wait was an about 10min once we was seated . It was a 20 min for the waitress came over . She wasn’t very friendly she only came to my table twice . I had to keep asking other waitresses for stuff . I ordered the spinach dip, cheese bread, smoked salmon, which was very small for the price. It wasn’t worth the $21. The salad has gotten much smaller it was a bout a hand full . I ordered the grilled cheese for my grand daughter because that’s all they have to offer for kids . Which was two Texas toast size bread and a small piece of cheese. Which it wasn’t good I spent $137 dollars on food that was not good . This is my favorite restaurant and I was vet unsatisfied.

Google
I love Houston's. I normally get the Hawaiian Ribeye but we had several appetizers and I ordered sushi so I really wasn't that hungry so I order the cheeseburger for my entree. We ordered the spinach dip and smoked salmon which were both amazing. I order sushi (Hiramasa Roll). It was just ok. I eat sushi at least once a week so I decided to try it here for the 1st time. The burger I ordered had absolutely no seasoning on it whatsoever. I ended up putting fry seasoning on the burger just to make it taste like something. I won't be ordering the burger ever again. I also had a margarita which was exceptional!

I worked at this location for several years, and it's completely different but yet exactly the same as it was years ago. Service was over the top from every team member we encountered, and the food was... it's Houston's. They are known for daily fresh prepared menu and the consistency of those items always being delicious. Only disappointments was the brownie was half the size then what it used to be and kinda quiet, piano was there but no Louis and the rest of the band. Still would recommend this Houston's to everyone. Zach and Chloe

Google
I’m extremely disappointed with the experience I had at Houston’s on Peachtree in Atlanta. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but the way my husband and I were treated made us feel completely disrespected and frankly, discriminated against. We waited over an hour to be seated. I understand we didn’t have a reservation, but the hostess was completely unapologetic and dismissive. Meanwhile, a group of white women who openly told the host they didn’t have a reservation—were seated before us. When I asked about it, the hostess claimed they had reservations, which clearly wasn’t true. I didn’t want to argue, so we waited another 30 minutes before leaving. The whole experience felt racially biased. It’s hard not to feel like we were ignored or overlooked simply because we’re Black. Maybe they assumed we wouldn’t tip or something I don’t know. But either way, the customer service was poor and the treatment was unacceptable. Houston’s needs to do better.

Yelp
I recently had my first meal at Houston's in Atlanta, and it lived up to the hype! The ambiance is dark yet inviting, making it perfect for any occasion--whether it's a business dinner, a romantic date, or a night out with friends. The service was top-notch. Hot towels before my meal?! Love it. We loved the Skinny Margarita--perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and with just the right ice-to-drink ratio. The Sancerre wine was a generous pour, which I always appreciate. We started with the Osaka-style pressed sushi, which was unique and flavorful. For dinner, I had the pan-seared ahi tuna salad, and it was cooked to perfection--light, refreshing, and balanced with the right mix of flavors. I'll definitely be back because everything that passed by looked just as amazing. Highly recommend!

Yelp
By far our favorite restaurant in the city. The French dip is honestly addicting. The pretzel break really puts it over the top! Service is always great. Service can be hit or miss, but typically it has been decent. Crave this weekly!

Yelp
Houston's is part of the Hillstone restaurant group, serving American classics & valuing consistency & quality. There are two Buckhead locations - Peachtree Rd. & Northside Pkwy./West Paces Ferry Rd. The menu options at the locations vary slightly. For instance, you can get sushi only @ the Peachtree location. My friends & I regularly visit Houston's. For one of my friends, you can usually get her out of the house if you mention Houston's as an option. The restaurant has a modern feel w/dark woods & furniture. At the entrance is a brick panel that came from the historic Loew's Grand Theatre. The bar vibe has a cosmopolitan energy. The bartenders recognize the regulars & know their drink preferences. On pretty days, the patio area is a cool way to enjoy a beverage from the bar or bring your bottle from dinner. Houston's does not seat parties larger than 4 guests, so the dining area has an intimate vibe. Reservations are recommended if you are eating after 5, especially Thursday-Saturday. There is also a waiting list to sit in the bar area once it is full. Customer service is always strong, & the food and beverages come out w/in a reasonable timeframe. We ordered: The Crush: Belvedere vodka, pressed grapes, mint French 75 Yellowtail Sashimi: served w/Emerald Kale Salad Spicy Tuna Roll: ahi tuna, avocado, jalapeño & jicama Ahi Tuna Tartare: sushi grade tuna, toasted ciabatta & avocado. Pan Asian Noodle Salad: mango, avocado, chopped peanuts, basil, mint, & chicken Steak and Frites: marinated ribeye & French fries We highly enjoyed everything - there was not a bad bite & these are all meals we regularly order. The 1 variation to our usual menu was The Crush. I really enjoyed the grapes adding flavor (& I love alcohol-infused fruits). The Steak and Frites is a reboot of The Hawaiian @ the Peachtree location. I personally think The Hawaiian (ribeye w/a pineapple-soy-ginger marinade) is one of the best steaks outside of an Atlanta high end steakhouse. Other menu favorites include the seasonal grilled artichokes, house-smoked salmon, spinach-artichoke dip (my husband's favorite), emerald kale salad (friend favorite), traditional salad (friend favorite), scottish salmon, rotisserie chicken, barbecue ribs, & walnut apple cobbler.

Yelp
Tonight was a hit thanks to our waitress, Nia! She took great care of us from beginning to end. My glass stayed full and the food was delicious! Everything was spectacular! My husband and son both had the Hawaiian Rib Eye which were cooked to perfection. My son also had the spinach dip which he loved. I had the smoked salmon and my husband and I both had the traditional salad which is a must have everytime we're there! Houston's Peachtree always delivers. Don't miss out!!

Yelp
Food was not that great. It wasn't seasoned. I had the trout with mashed potatoes, but I had to season it with salt and pepper and at that point, it still wasn't good. The service was okay; ordering felt rushed as soon as we sat down. The hostess sat us and immediately asked for our drink order. I mean yes, at times, people know what they want but there was no time to review the menu. Ambiance was nice. Very intimate. Oh, they have complimentary valet.

Yelp
Couldn't get a reservation for either restaurant in the Buckhead area which I find hard to believe. All day?? Will never try again. It ain't that good

Yelp
Food and service were great! Spinach dip and house smoked salmon were especially tasty. Our server, Tenae, was excellent! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and tolerated my dad's corny jokes with a smile and a laugh.

Yelp
Excellent service as I always remember. Over the years, 20 years plus for me and Atlanta. Houston's is always consistent. For the first time I had sushi. It was absolutely delicious. Very well done. The table had variety of appetizers and dishes that looked amazing. Also, for the first time I tasted the Keylime pie. I highly recommend. Everything was great except one little visit that I saw after we had mostly finished our meals. These little visitors are everywhere so I'm not gonna make a big deal about it, but I had to mention it.

Yelp
Complimentary valet, no option to self park. Bar scene is lively and there is usually a packed house with a long line of folks waiting to get sat. We walked in on a Saturday night without a reservation and waited for our turn to dine at the bar (~45 min wait). Bar is not a free-for-all, you have to put your name down and they'll formally give you a place setting when it's your turn. Elevated and orderly service, but expect to wait. You can get a drink and stand around with it or sit at the little cocktail tables by the window (if available) while you wait. Missed opportunity for this spot to have live music- there's a piano set up and everything. Pretty unfortunate because it would be super perfect / unique for the area if they did this! Food: Off menu chicken sandwich for the win- forever and always. Shoe string fries and kale salad are spectacular sides. Great sushi. STRONG martinis with stuffed (goat cheese) olives

Yelp
It's been years since I have been in the in town Atlanta area of this Houston's so I was happy to see it's still in business. The spinach artichoke cheese dip is always a great starter. I noticed Sushi is staring as the start of the menu these days. That was new for me to see with Houston's. I ordered an old reliable Grilled Chicken Salad for dinner. It leans toward a Thai Peanut Salad with the dressing. Very tasty! The cheese bread is no longer complimentary but you can order 2 pieces for $6.00. Other than the chicken being slightly dry the salad was delicious.

Yelp
I was at Peachtree St location on the evening of August 4, 2024. The menu has shrunk and of course portions are less...I enjoyed my beverage. Food was ok...took the steak home. As an African-American, the evening manager did something that was quite suspect, then it became offensive. We received our checks, paid our tabs, and completed the receipts. Nite -- we tipped the young lady 22% of a $600 tab. The whole time we are enjoying each other the manager had not been in our space nor near the other tables, nor checked in with us. He appears out of nowhere, having picked out our table specifically, gathered the receipts and "inspected each of them" as he walked away. WTH is that? Other tables around us, specifically two in my view that left before us, the waitress gathered the receipt(s). Of course they were of a different persuasion. Is Houston still treating skins differently?

Yelp
Overall, pretty good - little overhyped? Maybe. Wasn't super excited to see it had 3.5 stars but it's pretty accurate I suppose. First off, it's "complimentary" valet only - which I don't love. Basically forced to tip, also don't like other people driving my car. That said, there were a surprising amount of fancy cars here on Friday at 3pm. Lamborghini SUV, Mercedes, BMW, etc. The prices do reflect these cars - it's pretty overpriced. While the food was pretty good, I don't think they warrant their prices. They do have excellent service, distinct ambiance which I can see how/why they charge as much as they do. I was also very surprised how busy it was. We made a reservation which was a good call. The Jackrabbit cocktail I had was delicious - I'd get it again. Love me some tequila reposado (better yet anejo) with grapefruit and campari. Friend liked her "The Crush", although her second one was less vodka, more citrus. Before coming here I was told by the friend who made the reservation it's like an upscale Applebee's - which I think I agree with. Better service, better ambiance, valet only, and step up in food. The prices, however, leave much to be desired. The spinach dip was pretty good, came with salsa and sour cream interestingly, and our waitress brought extra chips which was nice. Not sure if they only hire women but I think the only male server I saw was the bartender and bus boys. We tried a variety of things - sushi and sundae were pretty good but the thai noodle salad was not - basically a sweet thai chili sauce out of the bottle dumped on some noodles with bok choy. Gigantic waste of $21. Overall, while the ambiance and service were good, I don't think I'd frequent this place often.

Astrid J.

Yelp
Food is great, however, the service is absolutely terrible, I waited 45 minutes past my reservation and they sat my party of 4 separately into 2 tables of 2. The main host is also incredibly rude and we needed to speak to a manager to even tell us the timeframe of when we would be seated. Will not be coming back! 246 in decatur is much better with a similar menu and great staff.

Yelp
Houston's on Peachtree has long been one of my go-to restaurants, a place where I've enjoyed countless memorable meals and exceptional dining experiences. However, my recent visit left me with mixed feelings, as the atmosphere seemed to lack the lively energy and inviting ambiance that I had come to associate with this beloved establishment. Despite the somber atmosphere, the culinary delights at Houston's remained as impressive as ever. The Hawaiian Ribeye, now named Steak Frites on the menu, was a standout dish that never fails to impress with its perfectly cooked steak and flavorful marinade. Paired with the classic spinach artichoke dip, it was a culinary match made in heaven. While Houston's consistently delivers on quality and flavor, my recent experience with the Braised Red Cabbage with Goat Cheese fell short of expectations. Known for its robust and tangy flavor profile, the dish seemed to lack its usual punch and depth. The red cabbage appeared bland and uninspired, lacking the signature richness and complexity that I've come to expect from Houston's. Although the addition of creamy goat cheese added a hint of tanginess, it wasn't enough to elevate the overall dish. Hopefully, this was just an off day, and future visits will return to the exceptional standards that Houston's is known for. However, it was impossible to ignore the palpable sense of heaviness in the air. None of the wait staff appeared to be happy, and the overall vibe felt subdued compared to previous visits. It was a stark departure from the lively and inviting atmosphere that I had grown accustomed to, and it left me feeling somewhat disheartened. To add to the disappointment, the apple walnut cobbler, a dessert I had eagerly anticipated, fell short of expectations. Instead of the promised abundance of apples, it was little more than a bowl of walnuts drowning in caramel syrup. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable meal. In conclusion, while the food at Houston's on Peachtree continues to impress with its quality and flavor, the overall dining experience was marred by a lackluster atmosphere and disappointing dessert. It felt more like a place to dine and dash rather than linger and enjoy the company of friends and loved ones. Here's hoping that the vibrant energy and inviting ambiance that once defined Houston's will return in full force, ensuring that future visits are as enjoyable as they have been in the past.

Yelp
Waited an hour+ to be seated. They really need to go on 100% reservation only. Their seating system is horrible, and the hosts have no idea what they're doing. That's a review all by itself!!! After waiting an hour+, between the server and the kitchen, our order came out completely wrong. Then, another employee told us that a new order would be made in 6 minutes. That ended up being a lie. The manager was nice enough to take some of it off our bill, but the experience was ruined by that point. Hadn't visited Houston's since the 2017 boycott. Not sure if/when I'll be back. They have a LONG way to go to be considered a high-quality restaurant. Definitely NOT recommended.

Yelp
The ambience was good. Food was consistent as always but the new waitress not only she was beautiful ( I forgot her name /she look just like Rihana ) funny and very polite she made our night incredible ! Thanks

Yelp
When we arrived we were greeted by Valet. Upon entering the establishment, we were immediately greeted and seated. Our server was top-notch and the dish I had was unbelievably tasty considering the textures and aromas. If I could change anything, it would've been our seating. We were practically in the kitchen and near the restrooms in a booth for two. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Yelp
We had a great mid day date! We were greeted by 3 @ the host stand. All were pleasant. The wait was about 1hr but we were going wait because we both love Houston's. (We miss Houston's in Chicago). Anyway, we decided to ask the hostess if the bar was open so we could grab an appetizer and host said" check with the bar on wait times and list. The person at the bar was....let me get back to him after I finish telling you what was amazing. Let me start off by saying Kayla was great! She introduced herself, and waited on us with the perfect consistency. She would walk by and assess or anticipate what may be needed or not. She was on point and did not miss a beat. We appreciated that because lunch flowed smoothly with minimal disruptions. I like the model of how the team works together to ensure you have a great experience. Watching other tables and other staff, lets me know that management has shown everyone the standard vs just telling them. We had to start off with the artichoke dip. The taste was likely remembered, but the chips were a little light meaning the quantity served with the ratio of spinach dip was off. Only two bites in and our table was ready, so the host grabbed our appetizer and we headed over to the table. Our server introduced herself then she asked if we wanted any more chips. She noticed right away that we needed chips. We ordered the ribs to split the ribs were tender as usual. We enjoyed the ribs although we couldn't remember if the barbecue sauce that we had today it was the same of many years ago. The ribs were accompanied by shoe string french fries and a coleslaw that had a hint of horseradish in it. After finishing lunch, we ordered a piece of Keylime pie. We did not have any drinks because it was early in the day ahead of a long night. All in all, great date. Now, for the sharp and someone rude bar tender......his little short demeanor was not what I saw displayed throughout. He did not greet, and was like where are you going to sit, tell me where your going to sit so I can out this order in for your spinach dip and be done. Then he was like what credit card do you want on file? What I wanted was for him to act like a human instead a robot tired of his job. And

Yelp
We had a 6pm reservation we booked DAYS in advance and it took over thirty minutes for them to seat us. They were not kind and they disturbed my peace. The food was really good but the wait time was unacceptable considering we had reservations.

Gina S.

Yelp
One word comes to mind when I think of this restaurant - consistency. Houston's is (and has ALWAYS been) consistent in both delicious and quality food/drinks and service. My family and I are regulars and have never had anything less than a wonderful experience here. I honestly don't know anyone who doesn't love this place. As far as the ambiance goes, the dim lighting is so nice and the space is clean. Overall - it's simply the best!!

Yelp
Outstanding food with a beautiful presentation. The cocktails were amazing with an extra touch of refreshing the cocktail glasses so the cocktail remained cool and refreshed.Superb service. Very comfortable yet upscale with attentive staff. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I called today to inquire about a reservation for a party of six and to see if they would do separate checks. A woman answered the call and as soon as I said "party of six", she disconnected the call. I tried to call back over the next hours four or five times, but she had blocked my number. Is this anyway to run a business that is open to the public. I then went to the website and saw they do not take parties for more that four people. Guess she got great satisfaction out of roasting my dumb ass. I will never step foot in this establishment.

Yelp
Houston's isn't the best steakhouse I've dined in, but the food there is always consistent. There was a 30-minute wait last time I dropped by for lunch, and we ended up sitting at the bar. Our waitress was phenomenal, and our food arrived in less than half an hour. I was slightly disappointed that Houston's stopped serving Pork Chops, which I personally thought was absolutely delicious at this location. So this time, I ordered Campfire Barbecue Pork Ribs instead. It definitely wasn't as great as the Pork Chops, but the menu description of the ribs didn't lie: the meat was slow cooked to the point that it was so tender, it easily fell off the bone! The ribs was coated in too much BBQ sauce and was quite heavy for me to finish in one setting, so of course I took half of it to go. The entree was also served with a side of fries and coleslaw. For appetizer, I tried the Southern Style Brussels Sprouts with Lemon Aioli and grated Reggiano. The Brussels sprouts were drenched in butter and were too sour for my taste. Overall, nothing about my appetizer and entree were healthy, but it was my cheat day and I left the restaurant satisfied.

Yelp
Ok y'all Houston's used to be my absolute favorite restaurant until they left me (they closed in their Chicago location and left me traumatized). At any rate the food was still delicious!!! The spinach dip with sour cream and salsa was my staple then and it did not disappoint!!! I also had black beans and rice. They were a perfect blend of smoky and sweet!! The braised red cabbage and goat cheese was pleasant!!! The traditional salad with the champagne vinaigrette magically disappeared into my belly!!! I loved the way that when we were seated, our escort also took our drink orders. Our server Byron was pleasant, fun and knowledgeable!!! The ambiance was the standard Houston's dimly lit cozy atmosphere. The jazz playlist had me hitting my Shazam and creating an entirely new playlist!!! This is likely the best chain restaurant for delicious, casual, upscale dining!!!

Yelp
So we had a reservation for another restaurant in the area and due to an inspection had to find somewhere quickly. Houston's to the rescue. We didn't have to wait long to be seated which was so great last minute. Our waiter was super helpful and attentive. But the food was the star for sure. We had the pressed tuna for appetizer. Delicious!!! I would go just for that. I had my signature lemon drop reposado martini. Try it. Better than the vodka one I promise. I don't normally eat burgers but that day I really wanted one. It had to be the best burger I have had in awhile. They just put a tad too much lettuce on it lol. I had it medium well. I could only eat half but the other half heated up perfectly later. I had to keep my moms hands out of my fries! I will have to go back to try the kale salad for sure.

Yelp
Houston's is hands-down an Atlanta staple! You have to order their spinach and artichoke dip as a starter. It's creamy and delicious. My favorite entrée is their Cajun trout. It's buttery, well seasoned, and always cooked to perfection. Houston's has great service. I regularly visit and have yet to have a bad experience. If you're looking for a moody date night, Houston's is the perfect spot.
google avatar

Zane S.

Yelp
Houston's has changed drastically and not for the better. The staff has always been nice and, with one exception, I have never had an extreme wait for a table. We had to wait that one time for too long even though we had a reservation. My issues surround the menu changes and the quality of the dishes. When I go out to eat, I am paying for a dining experience that I can't make at home. The food is overpriced for what you get and the only thing memorable is the buttermilk garlic salad dressing, which I love. I used to meet people there a lot for lunch and dinner. Now, I don't even venture in there and I live within walking distance. I hope the menu returns to the past and the food improves. I would go there is someone else invites me and they are treating. That way I can get my salad and dressing. Outside of that, it has to be a no for me.

Yelp
I must say you guys never disappoint when I visit on my annual work trip! Consistency is key and goes a long way. Staff is accommodating in every way with suggestions and service! Just a beautiful experience every time!

Yelp
Today I stopped by Houston's Restaurant for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by this classy eatery in Buckhead. Their staff are quite friendly and helpful and the restaurant is very clean. The food is exceptionally delicious my burger was out of this world. I will have to return and try their dinner menu. I've never paid $45.00 for a burger before but it was worth every bite!

Yelp
In short, this location never disappoints. No matter what day or time we go, the flow of service is always smooth, and the food is so consistently tasty! Also, the house-smoked salmon is a must-try.

Yelp
Good food and good service. I'm giving 3 stars ratings bc this restaurant is not kid friendly. We came with my 1 year old baby. Waitress told us they don't have any high chair or booster seats at this location. I personally have never been to a restaurant that doesn't accommodate kids. If that's the case, It should have been written or published on the website so ppl know ahead. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy our food tonight bc we have our baby in our laps the whole time.

Yelp
I enjoyed a great meal of appetizers, salad and French 75 cocktails with a friend and it was great. There was nothing we didn't like: spicy tuna roll, smoked salmon, Caesar salad and brownie for dessert. The ambiance was perfect for friends catching up and having a fun time. Customer service was perfect - we were checked on timely and made to few welcomed. Valet parking available and reasonable, although I believe there was public parking close by/behind the restaurant or on an adjacent street. We'll definitely go back. This location is my new fave.

Yelp
Having been away from Atlanta for several years, I returned for a quick weekend trip and had to make a stop in at Houston's on Peachtree. This most recent experience only served to surpass my memory of this established high-quality restaurant. The overall experience was like being welcomed home by an old friend for whom gracious, effortless hospitality was a way of life. I can't add anything to the descriptions of the interior of the place, except to say that they've nailed the intimate ambience down. We were greeted by the friendly, efficient valets, then by the hostess, who asked if we had reservations (for lunch on a Saturday), which we did not. Nevertheless, we were quickly seated in a booth that had perfect lighting, illuminating the table, but not glaring into each others' eyes. Our server made us feel like she was genuinely happy to see us and suggested an app special, beef chili. I knew it would have to be good, so we both started with a cup. Perfectly seasoned, tender morsels of beef, a few beans and topped with cheese and onions and accompanied by some tortilla chips. After that hearty a starter, we opted for salads. the grilled chicken salad with honey-lime dressing (colorful, fresh and generously portioned) and the emerald kale and rotisserie chicken salad (tender kale, interesting roasted peanut vinaigrette--I never thought peanut dressing could be so subtle, reggiano cheese and topped with sprinkles of chopped peanuts). We were both very pleased with our selection. Iced tea and a fun mango tea with mint leaves to drink rounded it all up. Although we spent a fun, nostalgic weekend, the stop at Houston's was the centerpiece. It made me want to move back to Atlanta.

Yelp
Birthday Dinner for 4 We were celebrating my oldest daughter's birthday, and she decided she wanted to go to Houstons. I made an online reservation on their website a day ahead of time.  As we  approached the restaurant, I noticed they had complimentary valet parking.  I was looking for a self-parking area, but I didn't see any signs for that option, so I drove up to the valet.  The attendants were courteous and I dropped my keys off with them.  We entered the restaurant and the hostess was on the phone with her back to the door.  Once we were noticed, we were greeted warmly. I advised, I had a reservation for a group of 4.  Once my girls were done clicking pictures outside, we were quickly led through the dimly lit dining room to a booth at the far end of the restaurant.  The interior was kind of dark, like a speakeasy or piano bar.  Our server came by quickly, but we were not ready to order and needed some time to get settled.  We all started to review the menu.  To me, it did not have that many choices for beer or food, for that matter.  When our server returned, we ordered our drinks and Deviled eggs and spinach dip for our appetizers. My birthday girl asked if they had sweet tea and our server responded they only had unsweetened tea. She decided to just go with the water she had already. Wifey wanted a lemonade, but they didn't have any, so she ordered a sprite. I reviewed the short beer menu and opted for a Reissdorf Koslch beer.  We were enjoying our appetizers and decided on our entrees. I ordered the Knife & Fork Barbecue Ribs with Coleslaw and  Potato Colcannon, which was a fancy way to say mashed potatoes. Wifey ordered the Rotisserie chicken dinner.  My youngest ordered a cheeseburger with fries and my oldest ordered the Scottish Salmon dinner.  It did not take long for the food to come out, and we started digging in. I tasted my Ribs and it did not disappoint. The meat was definitely falling off the bone as it advertised on the menu.  The birthday girl picked over her Salmon and felt it was under done and we had to send it back to have it cooked a little more. My youngest commented that her cheeseburger was huge, but they were kinda cheap with the fries.  Wifey enjoyed her Rotisserie chicken and had enough to take home.  We told our server that we were celebrating a birthday, but she advised that there were no complimentary dessert options. She listed their short list of dessert options, but nothing really appealed to the birthday girl, so we all passed.  Overall, Houstons had a very nice ambiance and the service we received from Shar was top-notch, but I felt the menu was limited and the prices were high.  3.5 Rating

Yelp
Houston's is one of our favorites. I travel a bit, and the benefit is the consistency of food and service no matter where you go. I think a VIP list would be great, but Que sera sera. Of course, it is well-lit for a relaxing evening.

Yelp
Our food was delicious. Jess, our server, was great. We ordered the French dip, the rotisserie chicken salad and the salad with grilled salmon and avocado. My mother is 90 and they did a great job of accommodating her. We did have a reservation. It was a wonderful experience.

Yelp
We went in July for my birthday and I had a great time. Food was good, although they just ran out of the pork chops. The service was good and timely and the ambiance is always wonderful. Great place for an intimate dinner with family!

Always 10/10 here! Can never go wrong with the spinach dip as an appetizer and love their mojitos. Service is always great, wonderful ambiance and you always know things will be consistent here!

Yelp
This has been my favorite restaurant since I was 12. My Mother and I went for lunch quite often. Our go to was a chicken salad with one hot bacon dressing and one honey mustard and the club sandwich. It was devine. They no longer have the club sandwich, so I rarely lunch at Houston's anymore. It's still my favorite restaurant for dinner. I love how all they have are booths and they have the lights down low. Feels like it's just your group or the two of you there. If they are in season, you have to get the grilled artichokes. This is one of the best things I've ever eaten. If they don't have those the spinach artichoke dip is amazing as are the brussell sprouts. For my entree, I usually get the tuna or one of the steaks. They are always cooked perfect. you can't go wrong with anything you pick on their menu. I usually don't bother with a side as i'm too full from stuffing my face full of the artichoke appetizer. Make sure and get one just for yourself. You'll thank me!

Yelp
WHY..... Add new items, but please stop changing the recipes that built your customer base. Kale salad, not cabbage salad!!!!

Yelp
beautiful decor with candle light as bd all booth seating the atmosphere combined with the music and exert service set you up for a great evening but that's where things go bad... food is mediocre at best. i did enjoy the sushi roll but steaks and burgers were a let down. on a lush side the bar looks nice! maybe you could stop by for a drink and grab dinner elsewhere.

Yelp
Monique was amazing! I haven't been here since my undergrad days. But the food was--per usual--amazing. The Thai noodle salad was to die for!

Yelp
I had dinner reservations at Houston's for my birthday. The server was Shay and it started nicely. I let her know we were there because of my birthday. She was cordial, took our order and continued with her other tables. Our dinners were delivered and they were good. She did not continue to check on our needs as time went on. Our water glasses stayed empty. Another server was walking by and I reluctantly asked her for water. Shay walked by and did not acknowledge that she was busy so she could not refill our water glasses. She did not say anything. We had to ask for a "to go" container. Moist towels are provided upon request and I had asked her for a moist towel to clean my hands. She brought the to go container but not the towel. I ask her again for the towel. She finally brought it. Full service was not provided. I was very disappointed with the fine restaurant but the poor service on my birthday. She did ask if I wanted a dessert, but did not offer the selections. I saw another server providing full service to her tables, they never asked for water or drinks she was continuously bringing them their needs. Our server had tables around the bar area as well, so she was providing them with more service since it involved alcohol. I left a tip based on her service. The food was good, the service was average.

Yelp
I got a special Father's Day dinner here and it was the best I had in a long time. There is complimentary Valet parking which is rare in Buckhead. I was Late for my reservations so had to wait for seat at the bar. This place is always busy so without reservations you will wait 30-45 minutes just to sit at the bar. The seats was comfortable and the bar tender was very pleasant to everyone. She knew her regulars and make nice drinks. I had the Hawaiian Ribeye which was perfect for a tasty steak. I all had cabbage and cream corn which were excellent side. I look forward to returning soon.

Yelp
Came on a Friday night with no reservations and only waited about 20 mins to be seated. We sat at the bar and had great service - super quick and very friendly! Houston's has a moody, dimly lit vibe, which makes for nice ambiance. The food here is great quality. We started with the Chicago-style spinach dip which comes with fresh cilantroy salsa and sour cream. I had the Thai Noodle Salad which is served cold and tossed with fresh basil, peanuts, and tomatoes. And to finish, we ordered the cobbler which was served with a dollop of ice cream. Overall, Houston's makes for a great date night out!

Yelp
Houston has offered the most consistent quality of food than most any restaurant I have dined. The first time I've eaten there in 2004 to today, never been disappointed. And what more is the standards that the management has set for service is STELLAR. To put it in perspective, humorously, one of my friends recently suggested Houstons for a midday guys fellowship and lunch. Plans evolved into another establishment within the conversation that had never been to, however my mind (and my stomach) had already been set on Houston's. I knew exactly what dish I wanted, I knew the quality of service I was going to get, and the atmosphere I would be enjoying it in. So I came by myself, ate at the bar, and linked up with them afterwards lol. My visit is the product of high quality and consistency, surely duplicated many times over across the base of customers.

Yelp
Been a fan of Houston's since my college days. Hadn't been in years and it still didn't disappoint. I went with my aunt for lunch who is in a wheelchair and I was very impressed with their accommodations and help maneuvering her around.
