"Hovarda is technically an Aegean restaurant, but we like it better for drinks. Part of the appeal is that it's open late and serves great salty snacks until the early hours of the morning. Vegetable fritters and tzatziki with pita for dipping go especially well with a chilled glass of white wine. As evening becomes night, the music gets louder, the DJs set up shop, and suddenly Hovarda feels more like a club than a restaurant—but a club you would happily sit in for a while, with a yuzu margarita in hand. Went last Saturday with some friends for dinner. Great interiors and vibe and spot on service. The food was very good! We had the tasting menu. The only thing, the DJ with music is quite loud, so this might not be the place if you want to chat. I would go again

I had an amazing dining experience at that new place, especially the tiramisu- it was delicious. The ambience was warm and inviting, with a great live music and DJ set. The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and can't wait to return!

Genuinely the best meal I’ve had in such a long time ! Impeccable food and service and not too busy (went Thursday eve at 7pm) basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves! I don’t usually do a Google review but this restaurant really deserved it because the quality of the food was outstanding ! I’ve also been before when it’s really busy and busy for a weekend and that was also fun! Everyone stands and dances around!

My wife and I had visited Hovarda for dinner & we really liked our experience. The food was great and service was very hospitable. Our server took good care of us & our meal/drinks were served promptly. As oppose to many reviews, we found the portion size for the mains very substantial - in fact both my wife and I got portion of our mains for takeaway. As far as value of money goes, it is definitley an upmarket restaurant with high prices so guests should expect a steep bill.

We had a nice experience with my friend for dinner, the vibe was great and the service was amazing, with a special mention for our waiter David. The +: the lounge bar area that transforms into a dance floor after 10 pm on the first floor. The food is good but a bit pricey, you deffo pay for the full complete experience! One of my favourite places for a night out in this area

We were disappointed with our dinner experience here; the place has so much potential with the cool decorations and club/bar-like atmosphere but the food is so overpriced and average. Same goes for the staff which is visibly untrained and unexperienced. Our starters were actually tasty; the baba ghanoush was one of the best dips I’ve had but everything after was disappointing. Also they charge you for sourdough for the dip which is ridiculous, how else should we eat it?! For mains we had the tiger prawn pasta and the baby chicken which were average at best; both were overly saucy. Service was average, very young staff which seemed unexperienced and untrained. There was no coordination between staff so we were asked several times the same thing. The waiter wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu when we asked questions. Finally the prices are extortionate and unjustifiable. Won’t be back sorry.

Aegean restaurant with captivating interiors 🌊 . Located in Central London, downstairs you will find a restaurant with cosy interiors and upstairs, a vibey bar with DJ 🎧 . We tried (starred are my favourites): Hummus, black sesame seeds, olive oil, chilli salt ⭐️Saganaki, aged feta, kataifi, truffle honey, basil Greek salad, barrel-aged feta, cretan rusk ⭐️Kleftiko, lamb, roasted potatoes, red wine jus ⭐️Vegan moussaka, potato, aubergine, cashew Tahini Tiramisu 🍹Grape and melon 🍹Strawberry 75 . 📍Location: Rupert street 🚇 Closest station: Piccadilly Circus 💰Price: £80pp (3 courses and drinks)

Google
Modern Greek restaurant in the middle of Piccadilly really good for a pre-party dinner. The food is really good but it’s too expensive, we had some starters like Saganaki or tuna tartare that were really good, Turbot was not really good presented and very citric. Wines were too expensive for the quality of them, minimum 50£ for a normal wine. The service was good but I will expect more from one place like this. The music was pretty loud during dinner time and after 10pm the music was more louder and turned off the light, more party mode. The restaurant environment is cool and posh, recommendable for friends dinner celebration!

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin on this review as I simply loved everything about this place! Such a beautiful ambiance, amazing staff who are friendly and welcoming and purely delicious food. I came to Hovarda on my own based on a recommendation and felt 100% comfortable and welcome sitting at the counter watching the talented and handsome chefs make me one of my most amazing meals I've had in London. Thank you Alex, Evelina, and team for a lovely Boxing Day experience.... I will be back all the time! I will need to dance off all of this food that I ate!

Yelp
Delicious food. Incredible service. We sat at the counter and watched the chefs make our dinner. Every dish was pleasant to look at too. We made a reservation before going.

Yelp
Nice layout. Interesting scene. Nice DJ and music. Absolutely horrible table service. If you don't mind waiting 30 to 45 minutes for the next round, you might like this place.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the atmosphere and dining of this place. Very upscale but also very fun and semi-casual at the same time. My friends and I ordered several items, which included the greek salad, hummus, and the Saganaki (this was by far my favorite item here). This had feta & basil inside with truffle honey on top, and the outside was super crispy which added SUCH a nice crunch to the melting inside. We also ordered one of their best-known dishes, the yellowtail. This is in the raw section of their menu, so if you are a huge fan of sushi/raw fish, this is a must-have! It was super light & citrusy. We also got the Pastitsio which is an oven-baked pasta that came with trompette & chanterelle mushrooms (really good! i also loved this one), and the Lamb Puffs which were minced, stuffed lamb inside puff pastry! It came with pine nuts, yogurt, and rose harissa! Overall a delicious meal!!

Yelp
Arrived on time and after waiting at the reception area for 15 minutes without being attended, we were told that our table was given to someone else and we could only sit at the bar. Waited for ages for our food. Our wine arrived long after the food order, after we asked several times. Rude PR guy who instead of explaining and apologising for this situation, just disappeared in a temperamental way. Overall an overpriced circus, which is not worth the effort or the money.

Yelp
Fabulous find. Chef Luka gladly accommodated my vegetarian options and helped with paring my wine selection with my order. Service was outstanding. I would definitely come back and I would highly recommend this to my friends and family. Picture is my beet salad which was hands down the best beet salad I've had.

Yelp
So here's deal, this restaurant opened by the owners of Yosma London who also used to own the sorts of Angelique which was one of the long lasting, entertaining, innovative establishments in Turkey. What happened during the period of Angelique to Hovarda to get their heads so up in their asses is a mistery. We had a reservation to Hovarda for 8 people 8:30 on the second floor. Besides having a very difficult process during the reservations, we were scolded for being late 15 min in a very rude manner... After getting settled to our table, the waitress just started to bring or 'throw' the plates on the table continously in a rush - saying that we have to get up by 10.30 from our seating. Without waiting us to finish the plates, she started to take away them and bring the first course. In addition to this horrible table service, she didn't want to bring the deserts we have paid saying that it is time for us to leave the table... Only little we knew that the part we had to deal with the waitress was just the beginning. Then the 'most unprofessional' manager we had seen joins in... We have told them that we can pay to open a bottle and stay for longer which was what we have been told in our reservation and get confirmed! However for some reason(?), after 'long' conversations between the management team they couldn't arrange this as well. After several attempts to secure our table anywhere in the restaurant, we have been repeatly told that there is nothing they could do besides giving us one small table for 8 people to squeeze in which was of course unacceptable. So here the things started to get heated where the manager started to act aggresive, pulling the chair we sit in to the side in order to make us get up. At that point, we had have enough and asked for the bill, the manager approached telling to our friend: 'I will pay your bill but just leave'... and asked us to step outside if we wanted to. Funny enough, the owners who was aware of it all didn't do anything to interfere or to accomodate us. So it happened to be an adventerous night for us and we ended up going to Soho House for a nice chill drinks. If you want horrible service, mediocre greek/turkish food and trying to hard to be Scorpios, Mykonos like atmosphere, do visit Hovarda in London otherwise there are millions of better restaurants/bars in town with better food, music and atmosphere.

Yelp
Amazing service and great food. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Great wine list as well. The upstairs lounge w/ DJ is a nice touch for after dinner. Will definitely back again when I am in London.
