Where To Find The Best Matcha In London - London - The Infatuation

"This Marylebone cafe is a real scene. Customers pull loyalty cards out of Dior saddles and DJ pop-ups turn How Matcha into a full-on party. But on a regular Tuesday, you won’t find a party. Instead you’ll find smooth, balanced matchas infused with things like rose water or espresso shots. Our go-to order is the iced Spanish latte that’s sweet, without being sickly, and still maintains that nuttiness from the matcha." - rianne shlebak

There was a line when I got there but it was 100% worth the wait and the hype. The atmosphere was rather lovely the baristas were soo kind and helpful and really passionate about recommending different matcha drinks and explaining what goes in the drinks as well as showing us the process. The presentation of the drinks were incredible and I don’t think I’ve seen flavours like these before who knew I could have a dark chocolate hazelnut matcha where the flavours aren’t overwhelming and everything is rather subtle and tasty. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back again that’s for sure :)

I’ve been coming here for about a year, and I really love both their hot and iced matchas. The outdoor seating area has been beautifully renovated as well. Last year, there used to be a large stick shaped incense holder outside, but now they burn a lovely Aesop incense inside instead, which is a nice touch. The owner is almost always there and clearly follows the business with passion. I definitely recommend this place.

Amazing matcha drinks, plenty of variety guarantees there's something for you. The staff was very friendly. This little cafe is in a very pretty area of Marylebone, not crazy busy but plenty of small local businesses to explore. Grab yourself a Match drink to go and explore the local streets. Thanks to the How Match team

The matcha there is next-level smooth, rich, not too sweet, just spot on. The guys working there are super chill and genuinely friendly, not in a fake customer service way, just cool people doing their thing. The place itself is gorgeous too clean, fresh, and has that kind of effortless aesthetic that makes you want to stay longer. Definitely a go-to spot whether you’re grabbing a quick cup or just hanging out for a bit.

I had really high hopes for this place and am confused by all the good reviews. The matcha does not taste good at all and the drink was mostly milk- not to mention the barista that made it was very very very rude. [ The cashier was lovely though :) !] I asked for not that much milk before paying for my drink/at the time of ordering however the barista decided to put a lot of milk. I asked her to give me one with less milk ( as I ordered- it wasn't a last minute request) and she proceeded to dump out the top of the drink into the sink?? eventhough the top of the drink is where they put the matcha- so I got less matcha and the milk was mostly still there. It was all very odd and also the matcha did not taste good- and she was quite rude. Overall strange behaviour, the drinks don't taste nice and way overpriced.

If you love matcha or you’re curious what the fuss is about, How Matcha is an essential stop. From traditional ceremonial blends to experimental flavours, the range is bold, balanced, and beautifully crafted. The Spanish Blossom iced matcha was a personal highlight — sweet, floral, and dangerously sippable without tipping into gimmick territory. The vibe is modern zen with plenty of heart, and the staff know their stuff. It can get busy and seating is limited, but the atmosphere and quality more than make up for it. Easily one of the best matcha spots in London — a little haven for matcha fiends and curious caffeine hunters alike. Already plotting my next visit. And the one after that. And the one after that. Authenticity. Charm. Outstanding matcha. And a menu that somehow gets me. How Matcha isn’t just a vibe — it’s a lifestyle, and honestly, I’m ready to sign up for the membership

One the best places in London, I won’t call it a Matcha store, its not just that, its a home to so many people in the Marylebone community. If you’re looking for a great Matcha, a great Coffee, a great place to chill, make friends, and be part of a community, this is your place to be! The owner is extremely creative, everyday there is something new, from pop ups, to community dinners, to collaborations, to new menu item, and all the way to 1 meter incense stick in a beautiful bonsai tree outside the store! Highly highly recommend How Matcha and be on the lookout for more from this owner!

It’s a lovely and cozy matcha shop. The place isn’t very big. I visited on a Saturday around 11 AM, so it was quite crowded. There were some seats available inside, but not too many. I ordered a Matcha Latte and got a strong matcha flavor. The cookie was delicious but on the sweeter side.
