Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lake George

We went up for the weekend and had a total of 6 rooms. The staff worked hard to get us rooms together. When we got to the rooms we were pleasantly surprised how new and fresh the rooms were. We later found out that it was recently renovated. The beds were super comfortable and the cleaning staff was there each morning to make sure our floors stayed clean and our beds were made. They had fresh coffee in the nothing. I would definitely recommend this place! It was really in the perfect spot, the perfect price and a perfect stay.

Positive: The location is awesome. We parked our car then walked to everything we needed. Parking is a problem in Lake George so this was an incredible option and saved a lot of hassle. The pool was very warm. Staff was very accommodating and made up the room. Negative: The room was nothing special, small but clean. We didnt go to Lake George to hang out in the hotel room so it was fine for a couple nights sleep and off we go.

Great value for the location and price. They seemed to have recently renovated or made modern additions to the rooms, it had all the basics. TV worked well, but only the most basic channel, there was Wifi but it didn't work on the TV for some reason. The AC in one room was really loud making it a bit difficult to sleep, but the bed was comfy. Front desk attendant was pleasant and helpful. It's a good place for a short stay or something more budget friendly.

Great value! Ideal location, great price. Room looked newly renovated. Included all of the basics. Room is on the small side, not much space for suitcases. But it's ideal for short stays. TV worked well, had most basic channels. We would stay here again.

Perfect location and rooms are clean and updated. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Pool is a little dated still BUT clean and plenty of seating. Don’t think there is a better option at this price. Could not find a negative to be honest.

I would give 2.5 out of 5, ie "average" but there is no option to do so. It is a "motel" in the true sense of the word, with room doors that open into the parking lot. The front desk person was unfriendly, some would even say rude, when I arrived around midnight. I stopped my car on the side of the driveway upon arrival, and when I got out of the car, the front desk person was standing in the motel reception area doorway, keeping the door ajar with his body, staring at me without a word. I got out of the car, said "Good evening, I'm checking in", still not a word, despite the fact I was only 10 steps from him and it was very quiet at that time. Never smiled, no pleasantries. "Booking" gave it a rating of 7.8, which to me is too generous, and I was disappointed when I arrived, for me it was a 5 out of 10. The arrival 'greeting" did not help the motel style layout. It is not new, so I have no idea why it was rated 7.8 on booking. Otherwise average.

Booked a room for 2 nights last minute due to a cancellation. Room was semi clean. Bathroom had hair on the floor and the toilet had a nasty stain on the side. On our 2nd day someone unlocked our door and asked us about checking out. First of all i know they can see in their system about check outs so how do you just try to enter into a room? Absolutely unacceptable. Mentions there’s breakfast but theres only drinks and granola bars. Location is 10/10 though! Everything is walking distance. Highly disappointed otherwise. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We went for just an overnight and it was good enough for us. We really only used it to sleep in. The TV was really glitchy which caused issues for the babies B4 bed. The workers were really kind. I called at 1am bc the neighbors were outside our room intoxicated being loud going on 2 hours and keeping my kids up. They had no problem going and politely asking them to call it a night. The next day after check out they had no problem with us keeping our car on the property so we didn't have to move it. Little things like that matter. I would stay here again

The staff is nice the room was clean, it's small though. May be the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Outside of that it was solid and we got a good nights sleep which is the purpose.

This Howard Johnsons offers basic accommodation. All I want in basic accommodation is "comfortable and clean"-- and this location has all the basic amenities. Set back a bit from Main Street, our room was quiet all night. Would stay here again!

This was a fine establishment in the best possible location for us on our little one. It was to the right of the gaslight bar and restaurant which was phenomenal and fairly priced. And across from kitty rides and an indoor arcade. And of course to the left of the parking lot is Canada Street which is where everything is we were able to walk to get a boat able to walk to the shops etc. Great price great Location can't beat it.

Room decor is ugly, bed was HARD, I could hear the people upstairs walking around, the bathroom has someone else's hair on the shower curtain, there is no duvet- just two flat sheets sandwiching a tissue thin "blanket", and when I turned the heat on to warm the room it smelled like something was on fire. It set off the smoke detector in the room.
