Howard Wang’s Brings Dim Sum to the Star in Frisco - Eater Dallas

"Howard Wang’s, a Dallas staple for upscale Chinese food, will officially open at The Star in Frisco this week. The local chain’s newest outpost was delayed due to construction but is finally ready to debut at 6740 Winning Drive Suite 1000, according to a press release. There, Howard Wang’s joins a host of other upscale eateries like Zaytinya and Dee Lincoln Prime, along with more casual spots like Tupelo Honey. This marks the fourth location for the restaurant, which opened in Preston Hollow in 2005, followed by Uptown and Southlake. The menu will offer up the signature dishes and fare geared towards those with dietary-restrictions (vegetarian and gluten-free) like at Howard Wang’s other locations including Chilean sea bass in a soy ginger sauce, whole peking duck, plus dim sum options, satay, fried rice, noodles, and stir fry options. Howard Wang’s Frisco location officially debuts on Thursday, December 6 and will operate Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. All of Howard Wang’s locations will also be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, contact the restaurant for special hours." - Alaena Hostetter

Excellent chinese food- great quality, very flavorful, not salty! The atmosphere is okay, nothing special, but definitely a great spot for a casual bite or family dinner. Service was friendly! Highly recommend, this spot is definitely the only Chinese I will eat in this area!

Amazing Chinese food. My favorite in the DFW area if you are looking for high end Chinese / Asian fusion. The ambience is excellent, the food tastes amazing, the drinks/cocktails are excellent and service is very good. Perking Old Fashioned (Suntory) and Mandarin Sunrise are amazing drinks. The Shrimp Toast are out of this world. Kung Pao, Sichuan Prawns, Spicy Dumplings, House Fried Rice, Ma La Chicken and Peking Duck are outstanding. The Taiwanese Noodles (extra spicy) are too die for. Great high end Chinese ....you can’t go wrong with anything you order here.

Excellent service, generous lunch portions and good food! One of the few places that serves Egg Foo Yung. They also offer both regular egg rolls 🤗 and spring rolls. Good patio seats!!

Hits the spot: Delish & warm service at reasonable prices. I am usually at the Preston Hollow location but do a lot of traveling for work and find myself in Frisco at HW with my colleagues. Extra bonus for the chic ambiance.

12/20/19: Quick Review - It’s Americanized Chinese food. Nothing that memorable. I got egg drop soup and lobster shrimp, which was basically shrimp and vegetables with egg drop soup. Lol I would not go here on my own volition. My coworkers asked me to go.

Food and service we're awesome. For some reason there were no one in the restaurant when we went for lunch and got an awesome personalized service. Reasonably priced and good flavor though not spicy as expected.
