A great stop for true vintage finds in a unique setting. The inventory is always changing so good to check in regularly. Catch one of the curated weekend thrift markets (front and back yards, 2nd & 4th Saturdays), grab a taco ( la santa barbacha), drink (the long goodbye) in the shared back patio area and hang for a while.

very very rarely do i leave howdys without a new piece of clothing that i am obsessed with! great vibes, sweet staff. i really love their markets, its the perfect way to spend a little afternoon trip - not to mention the vendor selection is top tier aswell!

With all due respect...in my opinion this place pretty much sucks. If you are an uppity hipster, then you will probably feel happy here. However if your more of an old school Austinite whom knows the difference of real thrift and thrift that is priced high as retail, then I'd imagine my sentiments would resonate with you. If these folks can get over on the hipster yuppies, then all the power to them but that just aint me. In addition their logo looks like a ripoff from the Marlboro ads. Overpriced and unoriginal do not make for a winning mix.

Howdy’s was a great experience. We traveled from out of town and had to stop in and we weren’t disappointed with our visit. Great unique pieces and the price points were more than reasonable. We will be making this a stop when we are back in town!

Wonderful vintage selection, cute vibes, nice staff, they also do vintage markets on the weekends. Great neighborhood store will keep going back!

Small vintage shop, but good enough selection to choose from. It's a pretty small shop (house) so if it is busy, you may want to wait outside if you don't like small spaces. Value is average vintage pricing, but I think you can find many of these items at a Goodwill. Little place to stop in while you are grabbing a coffee or taco next door!
