Ordered sausage patties and fried potato’s with onions it has been a while since I have been to howdys but the portion size was great then. I am disappointed that this portion size was for a 3 year old and they have the nerve to charge 9.00 won’t be going back.. breakfast is cheap I wouldn’t mind paying that it the potato’s was a good portion and the is the patties were not flat and size of a silver dollar.. sorry I should have taken a picture.

The French toast here is sooooo freaking good. The guy that owns the place is very nice. The people working are very nice. Love having breakfast here.

I Love their sausage and gravy over biscuits, they have really good burgers also..You should give them a try

The food was great. Also, this place is a throwback to the good ol days when you would get fast, friendly service and quality food. Our server Jinny was the best. She is a keeper for sure. A great mix of people, indicative of the city itself.

This is one of my favorite mom and pop diners. Staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious. The food reminds me of something you cooked at home. The place is not that big inside, but they do have some sitting in there. You can also call in your order which is good for the people on the go. They also serve lunch I've heard the burgers are so good, I haven't tried lunch yet but it's on my list. They only stay open until 2:30 PM so make sure you go and give them a try I promise you will not be disappointed.

Still open and still serving good breakfast and lunch during COVID-19. Great prices! Adjusted hours of 9-2 Tuesday-Saturday for the moment.

This spot is OK. I'm not in any hurry to get back. 3 days later and I'm not thinking about the food or the friendly staff. I'm hung up on the cross-contamination of food. Gloves were being used(open kitchen view) by both when we sat down. Then the gentleman discarded his to wash some dishes and never re-gloved while we were there. The young lady wore hers about half the time. Handling the raw sausage multiple times then too many food items going onto plates was alarming. The girl finished our meal with gloves is the reason we stayed and ate. Carryout orders are just as many as those dining in. Keeping the dining room tables clean was not a priority. That's what drove us to the counter. I found the food average for breakfast. I saw nothing on the breakfast menu to make them standout. Just basics. Not even omelets. The grilling of the split biscuit being served with the my gravy was a nice touch, but I wonder if it was just to warm it back up. Prices were good. Parking is a private lot for the strip plaza.

Had some really good lunch with my friends from here today. I had the Italian sandwich on Sourdough. My friends had the Ruben. We are all very excited to return soon!

Cheaper and tastier to frozen stuff from grocery store. The hash browns clearly frozen. no flavor to sausage gravy.

Great breakfast, remember long ago when Howdy's had fire pizza too. Wish the pizza would come back, for now just have great breakfast grub.

Perfect no-frills hidden gem in North Linden. With restaurants in short supply in the area, this is a welcomed destination. The food is good and the price is unbeatable. Next time you need breakfast or lunch, give it a try.

Been in this neighborhood for a long time. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches and some of the hash browns. All was good but I agree with the previous reviewer who stated that the place could be a little cleaner.

I came out of church this morning and I was starving. So I headed down here because it was close. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with an extra egg and it hit the spot. They do a fair amount of business but the food is nothing to brag about.

I've never been so impressed by a salad, but I'm officially am. I don't usually write reviews but this darn grilled chicken salad is to die for. Absolutely delicious. Chicken is seasoned and tender to the T. I ate the whole thing. Please spare yourselves of ordering a small, trust me I did at first and it was soooo good I almost went back and got another. I ordered a full size one today, and It was chicken on chicken on chicken. They are not selfish at all with the meat. Oh and also there cheeseburgers are great also, all fresh ingredients.

Howdy's is a neighborhood secret guarded by those who live on the other side of Hudson. At the very end of a wanna be strip mall you will never notice this place on your own. Until now... So my favorite meal is brunch and I am easily bored. Howdy's is the lone exception and I keep on coming back. Maybe its the fact that Tom the owner lets me make my own orders. Maybe its the breakfast and lunch served all day factor. Maybe there is something more than sugar heaped high on the french toast. Whatever it is, it works. Howdy's could be considered a greasy spoon, but its clean. Eat off the floors, blinding glare clean. The service is fast and not fussy. Place your order, eat it shortly there after. The menu has lots of sandwiches along with traditional breakfast items and features weekly specials. Wednesday is "Big Ass Cheeseburger" day. And yes, that is what it is really called. The Big Ass Cheeseburger is exactly what it sounds like and a real deal in these troubled economic times. You will like it, so I will let you know it can be ordered throughout the week if you happen there on a weekend. A small local place, mornings at Howdy's can be hectic. But pull up a stool if you have to wait and order at the bar. You will be impressed with how down to earth the staff is and how willing they are to please picky eaters. Howdy's closes at three so get there early. The secret is out!

Good service, fair price. I love to sneak off with the hubby and have breakfast. Always busy. The biscuits and gravy are great. The staff is always friendly and polite. You can call in and pick it up too.

Definitely definitely definitely have great food taste like home-cooked not fast food and if you like hamburgers or cheeseburgers ask for the big ass cheeseburger yes that's what it's called. Very friendly people great attitude always upbeat and they even do catering so I definitely suggest it

Stop in here by chance with a co-worker I had howdys goggle he had Nick choice and a bowl of soup. We both agreed it was the best bell sandwich we have had . it taste like it is homemade sandwiches that mom use to make.

I wasn't able to try it. Yelp needs to update their hours. It looks as if they are only open Tuesday-Saturday.

I stopped in here today and was grossed out by the very dirty floor. Looked up at ceiling fan and that was caked with dirt as well. I cannot understand anyone wanting to eat in a restaurant that is not kept clean. Had I paid closer attention before I placed my order, I would have just turned around and left. Food was greasy and certainly not worth the $6.00 I paid for it. Very disgusted.

I just tried Howdy's again after not having been there in more than a decade and I'm so glad I did. Cozy, small-town feel and great customer service. And now to the food: I had a turkey reuben, which comes with coleslaw on the sandwich, but they happily provided thousand island on the side. It was fantastic. Messy, but fantastic. My husband had the tuna melt-which was also pretty messy, but he loved his as well. He had the platter, which came with fries and coleslaw, and both were done to perfection. The prices are very reasonable. We're planning to become regulars!
