This place has a solid menu with enough options to satisfy any customer and the prices are pretty fantastic as well. The place is a little dated but dont let that stop you from check it out as its well worth a visit. We ordered wings, pizza and motzarella sticks and we were overall pretty happy with our order although the wings were a little dry or overcooked for our liking but they were still good. Motzarella sticks and pizza was pretty fantastic and would definatly order again. This was our first visit and it was takeout so we will give the wings another shot when we try a sit down meal there in the near future. Service and staff at this place were absolutely fantastic.

Howl at the Moon was a good place to go for our little group and they have some interesting bundle deals which saves you some money. I'd check them out if you like good pub food but what really grabbed my attention was the attentiveness of our server and the friendly service we were given. All of the food was decent and I would bring another group back to eat.

The menu at this restaurant is quite diverse. We ordered the seasonal specials, as it's Oktoberfest, and of course, there was a hot dog with German sausage. The fries are amazing! The service is good, and it's a great place to enjoy a beer, watch sports, and share good food with friends. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Quick update to my review below from months ago. Food and service keeps improving. I love this place! Great menu. 4 stars overall but 5+ star value for sure. I love this place. Great friendly staff. Food quality is good and consistent. Not fancy or trendy at all. That's a good thing for me. It's my favorite place to grab a burger or wings and a beer on work trips. Prices are good. I've brought several friends that overlooked Howl at the Moon for years. Everyone is pleasantly surprised by how much they like the food. Great daily specials.

We come here often! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Howl at the Moon is a true gem in our neighbourhood! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff are fantastic – always friendly, attentive, and ready with a recommendation. Whether you're after a perfectly poured pint of Guinness, a Bud Light, or a delicious glass of wine, they've got you covered. Absolutely outstanding pub fare! Their Wednesday wing night 99 cents each and fish and chips Friday are the best in town – perfectly cooked and generous portions. But honestly, everything I've tried on the menu has been delicious, from their juicy burgers to their new tacos. Beyond the food and drink, Howl at the Moon has a great vibe. It's the perfect spot to catch up with friends, watch a game, or just relax and unwind after a long day. I havent seen live music here, which would be cool if they tried that.

My wife and I went to this location on Sunday Sept 7th, 2025. We walked in where the sign said please wait to be seated so we did. There was no staff anywhere in sight including no bartender behind the bar. The place was empty except two tables I believe. We waited about five min or so and finally made our way to a table ourselves. Waited for another five min and at that point my wife said lets leave, if the service is this bad, imagine the food. Glad we did because right down the street is a pub called The Whale & Ale and we were greeted at the door, seated immediately and had drinks at our table within five min. The food was amazing, fast and friendly service so in a way....thank you Howl for ensuring we left. Cheers.

Well had to wait to be seated had to get my own water to busy on talkimg with there clan not serving like they shoulda had to ask for the bill burnt fish it was like chewing bubble gum there's pleanty more we won't be back offered to remake it screwed up everything from the start I wouldn't dare ask for more food friday tyeb27th 9pm hope the owner sees this I think they were drinking too boot the waitress did givebusba 20% off and was very nice

If you’re a twilight lover / nerd (like myself) you’ll love it here. It feels like you’re in a restaurant with the same vibes as the book / movie. Me and my bf have been coming here for a little while now, he brought me here for our anniversary a year ago as a surprise and we keep coming back. I like the cheese capaletti personally (might’ve misspelled that), and he always gets the burgers. I wish they had milkshakes on the menu though. One note: it’s a small wait (about ten mins) when you come in but every time we’ve gone it hasn’t been super busy so you always get a nice booth. Foods pretty good, i do think it could be a bit cheaper (coming from a broke student) but the cheese capaletti is cheaper than east side Mario’s so 🤷‍♀️. I haven’t had any issues- they also have pretty good combo deals and specials.

Best bar around town, haven't been let down with the food, beer and the lovely staff!!!! highly recommend

Made a reservation for a semi large party on a weekday. Came in and got seated very quickly, which is a plus. Lots of parking, which is even better, but that's also me coming in at 5pm on a Thursday. There was maybe 2 or 3 more patrons in the establishment. Water was already on the table when I got there, which is great. The waitress came and took my beverage order and came back with my hot water in about 5 minutes. They have specials every day; Thursday is their fajita special. Chicken or steak fajitas for about $11.50 or so? Calamari was also on sale for $8.50. Overall, ambiance was not too bad. It was quiet since no one was there. Service was mediocre. Waitress came to take the table's bevvy order (once the whole party was there), we told her that we were ready to order food as well, but she walked away, which was really weird. She came back maybe about 10 minutes later with a glass of wine and took our order and as I was asking for more hot water, she walks away and disappears for a while. This seemed to be a repeated occurence that night. I ordered the steak fajitas. Didn't get my tortillas or side condiments until after I got my sizzling plate. Seems that they had forgotten my order.. or someone else's and didn't know who had what. A friend ordered a chicken fajita and the sizzling chicken plate was burnt. The individual told the waitress that it was burnt, but she proceeded to put it on the table and left us. Cobb salad is a large portion and looked really good. Mediterranean salad was half the size. Bills were messed up as well at the end. Specials weren't given. Soup sizes were small. Antijitos were not available in the evening because they sold out of it in the afternoon... (aren't they just tortillas and cream cheese?... weird.) The food was subpar. the service sucked. It was cheap though so if you're looking for cheap eats, great! But it wouldn't be my first choice to dine at.

Worst chicken wings ever! I was at Howl at the Moon last week and I ordered honey garlic wings. The wings had one bite of meat on them, I was still hungry after and I'm usually a small eater. That wasn't the worst part, the wings were absolutely swimming in sauce. The basket of wings had so much sauce I thought the waitress was carrying a gravy poutine for someone else before she placed it in front of me. Also, menu items such as fajitas and quesadillas are vegetarian and meat is an extra 4.99.

The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and go above and beyond. They have some great chefs working in that kitchen because the food is always quality and delicious

I love this place any day of the week! different specials every day, and they're all amazing! And the prices on the main menu aren't expensive either, and has a HUGE variety. Best nachos in town and the chicken wings are far from small. great breakfast deals on the weekends too! This place is a triple threat!

I wish Yelp allowed for 1/2 stars - "the Moon" is definitely a 3 1/2 star place - not quite a 4 in my opinion. A lot of people avoid "the Moon" because it shares the building with Roxxannes (the sole remaining strip joint in town) :) Guess there's a lot of people that don't want to have their vehicles seen in that parking lot! :) As such, most times than not the Moon isn't crazy busy, so you can almost always get a table (did see once a few weeks back that they had a line out the door - must have been a promotion going on). Any who - the pub food has always been about average for this place. Better than you get at most of the chains though (eg. Kelsey's). But, we tried their wings the other day - specifically the dry cajun. And, I was blown away! Super crispy wings (sorry, if chicken skin isn't crispy, what's the point?!), good job on the seasonings and still moist inside. Quite impressed (and put down a couple pounds of them over several beers). The pricing of the beer in there is pretty good too (as long as you stick to domestics) - otherwise you pay for imports what you pay at most bars - $6.50 and up. Will definitely be back at the Moon for wings one day soon!!! Oh...and for those that don't know - they have a good sized patio out front. (only a few months away till patio season's back!) :)

Great wings on Wednesday and Sundays! Tasted fresh and were meaty.

Best breakfast deal in Kitchener. This restaurant along Victoria is a bit of a drive out of the way but the breakfast is enormous, the homefries are delicious, the service is good, the pub is quiet in the mornings, and it's at a very good price under $15.00. The only catch is they open at 11am so it is a "late" breakfast menu.

This was my first time going in a few years and I had such a great experience. The food is cheap but plentiful and the server we had (I believe her name was Dyane) was spectacular. She came to our table many times to check if everything was ok and she was very friendly. I got a chicken caesar wrap and wedges which was only about $10 and they did not slack on the chicken like many places do, and whatever room that was left on the plate was filled with wedges. Such an awesome place and I will definitely be returning.
