Yelp
AYCE hot pot, Korean barbeque, dim sum, and other hot bar items. Took us long enough to establish a hot pot and KBBQ fusion in Washington. Not quite like the ones in other states, but amazing in a different way.
Each person gets their own hot pot and grill rather than being a shared experience. Most items are flexible for either hot pot or grilling, but there are two or three meats that they recommend a specific cooking method. Insanely attentive service! Order items to cook through an iPad (pictured attached) and self serve everything else that's already edible.
Stumbled upon this Yelp page after there was an hour wait at our original plan. Always fun to run into a new spot when I visit town. I was skeptical after reading the reviews and not seeing information on Google or social media. Happy to share that everything is legit. Price is a bit high but I think it's warranted. Plus there's something for everyone, especially for the picky eaters or indecisive friends. Parking is in Chinatown so it can be rough. There's a paid public parking area right next door which saves a lot of hassle.
The dim sum portion consists of four items, shrimp dumplings (har gow), siu mai, salted egg yolk custard buns, and a fourth bun that looks like char siu bao but not positive. Hot bar includes shrimp tempura, fried chicken wings, popcorn chicken, and fried pork. There's also an assortment of vegetables, salad bar items, and fruit. Sauce bar is also available. For dessert, they offer soft serve (vanilla and chocolate), cotton candy, and steamed buns with condensed milk. Soda is included in the price, they have a good selection of soft drinks and tea. For any coffee enjoyers, they also have a fancy coffee machine, which I did not experience as I dined in late.
Vanilla soft serve was watered down and tasted light like soy milk but the chocolate was much more flavorful. Popcorn chicken and fried pork were a bit dry, but the chicken wings and tempura were fantastic. All of the wagyu meats were fatty and delicious but it's worth trying all the other cuts as well. I was a bigger fan of grilling for the fattiness but it gets pretty oily without a drain (replacement grill paper at each table).
