We were in town for my birthday weekend and came across Hoya in a Google search. Of the many restaurants in the area, I'm so glad we picked this one. The staff(owner) was super nice and made sure every part of our meal was great. We ordered bulgogi bimimbop, short ribs, seafood pancake, a Korean peach flavored alcohol, eggrolls and a mango ice dessert (sorry I don'trememberall of the names). I love Korean food and I'm an adventurous eater. My husband, on the other hand, is new to food exploration and is a picky eater with a ton of food aversions. He tried every item, including the 3 banchan served, and liked every single item! I also loved everything, but for him, that's saying something. For me, the top item was the short ribs, sweet, sticky and I would have eaten the bone if I could have. The ribs were served on a bed of cabbage. The heat from the plate and the drippings of the sauce from the ribs made the cabbage so flavorful, and strangely, one of my favorite parts of the meal. For him, it was the mango ice dessert. He woke up the next morning wanting to go back just for another one of those to go! The bulgogi bimimbop was so good! I love how the hot bowl makes the rice get a little bit crispy. All the ingredients were fresh and beautifully prepared. This was a great experience and a wonderful meal. We wish we lived close some could come back again, but next time we visit Ft Worth, we will!

Google
Staying at the Aloft and this is across the street so decided to check them out today for lunch. The food is delicious and I’m planning on a few more visits to try the other menu items. I had the spicy chicken box today and everything was perfect. The service was great, I got mine to go today. Definitely recommend!

Google

Google
I didn’t expect much from this place, but they served one of the best kimchi jigae lunches I’ve ever had.

Google
LA shortribs so good I have to order 2 everytime. Bibimbap in the stone bowl sooo good too! Tip; let the bowl burn the rice just a little bit. Super authentic Korean food; wasnt ‘t expecting such a great Korean restaurant in Fort Worth. What makes this place really great is the staff; everyone is so nice and friendly; Isha is the best!

Google
Hoya moved around the corner. The new space is very welcoming and updated. The menu has changed slightly. The food is still delicious. Service was a bit slow for it not being packed, but I will definitely be back.

Google
This is a small place we dined in for lunch. I’m not for certain, but I do believe the hostess was filling in for the waitress today and that may have been the reason our service was not so great. She was very quick to run away from the table, but very slow to attend to our needs and bring our food. We ended up getting the drink order placed at the same time as the food order. We waited at the door a long time for the hostess to come to the hostess stand to be seated, overall it was not a good experience. We got Korean fried chicken and two beef bul Gogi plates. The food was just OK, it’s a small place and I will say that it was a large party of about 14 there in our area and I do believe our waitress was assigned to that table in this could be the reason we ended up with the hostess.

Yelp
Great service from friendly staffs. Food was average at best. From my POV, it was quite pricey for a subpar food quality. Interior was very modern and bathroom was clean

Yelp
On our way to lunch, we happened by Hoya and my boss said it was really good so we decided to stop in. They staff was very nice and though we were a large group they found a great spot for us. The place looks small but it was a nice elegant feel associated with it. The downtown atmosphere evaporates and you're left just focusing on chatting with friends and colleagues. Now, the food was amazing. I had the chicken katzu bento box and it was so good. The katzu sauce was a little on the sweet side, but otherwise delicious. The japchea was refreshing on a hot summer day. The dressing on the salad was like a ginger dressing, it was pretty tasty. We also split some kimchi fries which were good and some pieces had a spicy kick but nothing too much. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Hoya is a cute spot with friendly servers, but their food is quite average and the service was pretty slow. I hate to give it two stars because our server was super sweet, but I can't say I'd come back. Korean fried chicken - this appetizer was the best thing in the meal. Happy to say it was crispy and hot! (We were scared due to some other reviews) The sauce was sweet and sour, it was ok but not the most memorable. Beef bulgogi - unfortunately, I'd have to rank this pretty low among all the beef bulgogis I've had. Not very aromatic, no strong bulgogi flavor, and the meat looked a bit underwhelming visually. Spicy pork bibimbap - this was alright, but the bowl had less topping variety than most bibimbap bowls I've had. The pork itself was ok, but not memorable either. The gochujang sauce was good though! Mango colada iced tea (signature drink) - I hate to say that this was one of the worst drinks I've had. Certainly no colada flavor, barely any flavor really. And for some reason the drink was stinky. The service was pretty subpar. We weren't greeted by our waiter once we sat at our table for quite some time, so much that the neighboring table even commented on it! And trying to pay was chaotic because there were 3 or 4 tables who'd all been waiting a while, and everyone crowded the front desk once someone finally came. I think Hoya could really benefit from a couple more servers!

Yelp
Coming from Los Angeles which contains the largest population of Koreans outside of Korea, I'm aware that I've been spoiled in having the opportunity to have authentic Korean food. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this spot in Fort Worth. It's a cute clean family owned spot. The Korean owner/cook lady came out to check on the customers which was nice. The server was friendly and the food came out fast. This hit my hankering for Asian food while on a work trip. Yet being from LA where there's Koreatown chock full of Korean restaurants, I wish there was banchan and spicier flavors in the soon tofu. It was still good, yet not as authentic and flavorful as Korean restaurants frequented by Koreans. The Kimchee fries were interesting, and could have used more kimchi. The seafood tofu was good, but could have more flavorful. A small ramekin of kimchi is available upon request. I assume the lack of banchan and spiciness in the food is that not many Fort Worth residents are familiar with that. I enjoyed my experience and was happy to find this place, yet if you're a Korean food foodie, be aware that while the food is good, it's more catered toward a non-Asian palate.

Yelp
I've never had Korean bbq. This was a first and we came here on a recommendation from my son and his wife. What's a quaint little place downtown. Here for a show at Bass Hall and we loved it. There was a little wait because it was a Saturday night but well worth it. The ramen bowls were phenomenal. They were more filling than I thought it would be for a soup bowl. Such a neat place and I want to try it again.

Yelp
Friendly service. Cute small casual dining establishment. Only a few tables. Street parking and parking garage nearby. The Shrimp "fries" were actually fried shrimp (panko-like coating)...really good. Miso soup was ok. The Seafood SoonTofu soup was packed with seafood (mussels and shrimp) which was great BUT the broth was a bit salty. Not unbearable but definitely saltier than I'm used to traditional SoonTofu.
google avatar

Yelp
I believe Hoya's starters are more worth your tastebuds as opposed to their main dishes. I got the Mild Jin Ramen and the noodles were quite soggy and the broth was not as rich in flavor as I'd liked. The kimchi fries were really good, although there was barely any kimchi in it. The mando was by far my favorite thing we got and I would get it again. The place is rather small, but you can park in the garage next door and get 2 hours worth of free parking. And the servers were nice to a larger group (6) like ours!

Yelp
Americanized Korean food. Think ketchup rather than gochujang. Will not return. Flavors were below mid.
google avatar

Yelp
Service- Amazing. Patient, helpful & prompt staff. Food- everyone dining with me enjoyed their meal & we all picked a different entree. Was easy to get in and out during the lunch time rush. Will return if in the area. Enjoyed the covered patio, it felt great!

Yelp
They are not closed. They moved up the street closer to PF Changs. I was just there and WOW!! The good was delicious. I had the teriyaki chicken and loved it. My coworkers also all loved their meals and the spicy pork was the talk of the afternoon. We'll be back.

Yelp
So I went back with friends recently and while it was not that busy, there was an issue with our waiter ... Basically, he ignored our table ... There were three of us, one guy and two ladies... He would serve the tables around us, even people who sat after we arrived, not sure why our table was ignored. So I had to call on the management of the establishment to get service. The manager took care of us, recognized the two ladies who were locals and frequent guests. The food was good, as always, and we would continue to be returning customers Unfortunately, the lack of service from the one waiter was disappointing
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food!!! All of the meat had amazing flavor! Great service and cool vibes! The patio was nice!

Yelp
Ok.. didn't expect anything in Dallas Fort Worth for Korean food but the bibimbap here was pretty good.. the kimchi fries were kind of a weird twist but the taste wasn't too bad. The meats were definitely delicious and seasoned correctly. Gotta try the spicy pork stone pot bibimbap. Ask for gochujang if you want it spicier!
google avatar

Yelp
Right across from the hotel and a PERFECT place to pick up lunch or dinner. The egg rolls are fantastic. Just crispy at the first bite. The Tonkotsu Ramen was enough for two meals. Yes, we will return!

Yelp
This restaurant is a nice option for a quick meal. The food: came out fast and was tasty. Many of the menu options seem like they're pre-made or are warmed up. I was caught off guard to see that on the menu the Ramen stated that it is a packaged Ramen and prepared at the restaurant. The chicken was good. It didn't taste like chicken, but it was still good with a slightly spicy seasoning. The egg rolls were yummy. I'm not sure if they were pre-made and fried when ordered but they definitely did the job for me. The Ambiance: the ambiance is nice. It's dimly lit, bare tables, with some pop music playing in the background. The service: the service was good. Our waitress attended to our needs. They were accommodating for sure. Now, this restaurant get 3 stars simply becuase it was a nice place to eat, and I'll DEFINITELY be back, especially if I want some egg rolls. However, there was nothing too special about Hoya. The food was good, the service was good, the ambiance was good. It's okay and decently priced. Like I said, I'll be back. Hoya is one of those restaurants that'll always be around because of its convience and nice service.

Yelp
I have tired them a while ago. Just stopped by and realized they have moved around the corner but under remodeling.

Yelp
I come here anytime I'm in town for work or vacation. I always bring my friends and family and it's always a hit. The shop is cute, the service is great and the food is even better. If you're in the area and undecided I would stop by and give it a try, it'll probably become a favorite spot for you like it has for me. Never have had a bad meal or experience here. I've ate in and got take out and both are always consistent.

Yelp
Great food. Lots of options. Good prices. Friendly and fast service. Their house iced tea was delicious, nice to have a different option.

Yelp
We love a good Bibimbap and this place delivered. We started with egg rolls and kimchi cucumbers. Both were delicious. We followed with Bibimbap. I had tofu and my husband had salmon. The bowls are served on a hot stone so it is piping hot and gets the rice sticky in the bottom. YUM. Everything was served very efficiently and quickly, and was hot and fresh. Delicious and satisfied the craving. Our server was quiet and friendly. He recommended we come back to try the spicy pork bibimbap ext time. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in here during lunch. Thankfully we came on the earlier side of lunch so it wasn't too busy. It got busy as ate. Our server was attentive if not a little too attentive. She came over quickly multiple times when we needed some more time. The food was yummy and came quickly. A cute stop in downtown Fort Worth

Yelp
Love this place! The food is great and the restaurant is in a great location versus driving out an hour. Very close walk to dessert. The service is great and the environment is very friendly.

Yelp
Amazing food and place . The customer service was the greatest. From the time we got in until we left . Everything we ordered was Flavorful and also delicious. We got our meal very fast and the outdoor seating was so cozy.
google avatar

William R.

Yelp
The food was delicious and nicely presented. The restaurant is quite small and seating is out on a porch that is quite warm in summer months. The service was good as well.

Dave Kendall ..

Yelp
Closed location, Dud not upset YELP, sorry you did not keep people informed ..... zzzzzzzz

Yelp
Was surprised to find an authentic Korean restaurant in Fort Worth. I was visiting for work and was craving some Korean comfort food so decided to give it a try and ordered to go. Was pleased by the authentic taste and portion sizes. I only wish there was a little more side dishes. Staff was kind when I picked up my order and the restaurant itself seemed pretty busy but still enough seating.
google avatar

Butterfly P.

Yelp
kinda pricey. Cucumber kimichi was not what i was expecting and it was okay 2.5/5. Tofu bowl was good. Really just wanted to get al la carte items like tofu and a bowl of rice. but they do not let you get just tofu or even plain ramen
google avatar

Casey T.

Yelp
Nice little restaurant downtown, fantastic service. I really enjoyed the teriyaki salmon box. It was cooked perfectly, not too sweet on the sauce. Give it a try.
google avatar

Rich C.

Yelp
So the place is pretty good sized but not many customers. They have several options and we all chose the box meals. The meals are pretty small but most of it was tasty. The cucumber kimchi was not good and lacked heat or seasoning just like the kimchi. The beef and mando were really good and we were just underwhelmed by it. The servers never came by and they didn't have a few things like you would expect. Not a bad place just needs some love and seasoning

Yelp
Came here for lunch while visiting Fort Worth with my mom. Read reviews online and thought we would try it. I really hadn't had much Korean food prior to eating here. But let me tell you, definitely will be eating more Korean food in the future! We ordered the bibimbop which was served in a hot stone pot. I ordered mine with pork and my mom ordered hers with beef. It had rice, a fried egg, bean sprouts, cabbage, carrots, etc. It was so flavorful and honestly, pretty healthy. Not greasy at all. The pork had a really great flavor as well! My mom enjoyed her beef too. The servings are large and filling. A great place for lunch, service is quick and the food is quality!

Beth P.

Yelp
I picked up a Bento Box to go and was pleasantly surprised by the presentation, value for money in the area and taste. Everything on the plate was fresh and tasty. I'd go back again for the same selection.

Leyna C.

Yelp
The food was great - homemade Kinchi on request; great hot sake, delicious Hot stone bowls.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
I could not recommend this place more highly! The food was incredible. Dynamic flavors and aesthetic presentation. The atmosphere was unique and attractive, right in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. Finally, the service was absolutely tremendous. They were understanding, communicative, and over-the-top positive and welcoming which was refreshing. Incredible spot!
google avatar

Israel A.

Yelp
Food was pricey for what you get. The tiny lady at the hostess desk started crossing her arms with a blank look at 9:40. There was one more couple there so I didn't understand, I guess she just wanted us to leave. My wife was talking asking her day and didn't want to ruin it but I really wanted to tell that hostess off. She brought us the check and picked it up and didn't say anything Never again.

Yelp
So so so so good!! My friends and I stopped here before a Four Day Weekend show and it was quick, tasty, and comfortable! They accommodated our party immediately and allowed us to move tables when needed. They listened to our order accommodations and the food was delivered quickly. My friends got the bimibap which was so flavorful and my combo box was a great way to try so much, the dressing on the salad was an unexpected surprise - it was delicious! The host and server thanked us directly at our table for coming, and we can't wait to visit again

Kaitlin E.

Yelp
Coming from California where Asian food is top tier, I was left very disappointed and could not even finish my Tofu Soup. It tasted very watery and lacked flavor. Service was good at the waitress made sure I was alright (I was the only person in the restaurant btw) Restaurant ambiance was decent but not lively, no one was inside Overall pretty dissapoint Ed
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this restaurant. The servers were wonderful and attentive. The food was nothing special and was overly salty. There were none of the typical side dishes that typically come with a Korean meal. The price is pricey in my opinion for the quality of the food but it being in Sundance square the cost is probably for the location.

Jasmine Y.

Yelp
From a 20 minute wait time to a 40 minute one, along with the wrong order. I ordered the mango colada iced tea after being MISLED by the waiter and the menu. The drink crushed the high hopes I had for it after walking so long in the blazing heat. I asked for a replacement and received a warm, uncarbonated Coke. The food was good, but not 40 minutes wait good, especially if you get the wrong order. If you are looking for a good place to eat, go to Nicole's Burger Kitchen.
google avatar

Jettah D.

Yelp
The food was pretty flavorful and their gochujang hot sauce (?) was reallyyyy good. It tasted almost like sriracha but better. I also tried their kimchi cucumbers and they were awesome. The service was also very welcoming and our server frequently made sure that everything was tasting alright. The atmosphere was also really nice.
google avatar

Kimberly P.

Yelp
Nice little restaurant down town to eat Korean food. We had the dumplings and the kimchi fries. We loved them both !!! My husband got the beef bibimpap and enjoyed it. I got the spicy pork and really enjoyed it. Both meals came with small salad. Also, had the peach soju... yum. All this for under 100 dollars.
google avatar

Kujin J.

Yelp
I ate lunch at Hoya Korean kitchen about 2:30 pm The sever was very kind and care of her customers. But, the food wasn't good that I never seen before. I ordered beef soontofu but beef was tough meat and taste wasn't good even though I was so hungry! Normally Korean food comes with side dishes, however this place only gave me stew and bowl of rice. That's it! I was so disappointed because I never seen like this from any other Korean restaurants, specially it was so pricey with this food like this compared with all other restaurants. Anyway it was my experience that I was unhappy and I'm gonna grab some extra food when I walk back to my hotel! * another picture is in here, the BCD restaurant provides side dish for their customers with reasonable price in Carrollton Dallas!
google avatar

Dana L.

Yelp
Really cute little place in Fort Worth. The menu gives you just enough variety and at a great price/ portions. I went went with the bulgogi bento box and it was so good! I also ordered the soft tofu soup which was also very good. Overall I would say the portions are good for individuals, definitely not a sharable order. Unlike other Korean BBQ places. I would go again to try the other items on the menu. :)
google avatar

Karla H.

Yelp
This restaurant was nothing but a fast food Korean food. We were seated very fast, ordered and all our food came very quickly. It felt like we were being rushed to eat our meal and get out.
google avatar

Jenny N.

Yelp
Hoya Korean kitchen is very good food (especially for lunch break) or a casual dinner at night. I usually get the Bento box with beef Bulgogi. It comes with a scoop of rice, salad, California roll pieces and a couple of Gyoza sometimes I substitute the rice for extra salad, which I love their dressing, there is also large variety of different foods I have yet to try here (like the ribs) The menu is the same price at lunch and dinner which is not great, there's not a happy hour or lunch special that I know of. they took off the scallion pancake, which was one of my favorite ones in all of town. I have not tried the ramen yet because of the price. Service is great, servers are very attentive!
google avatar

Christy N.

Yelp
Loved this bowl! The veggies were so fresh and the salmon tasted great! Wish it were spicy but otherwise no complaints
google avatar

Doug F.

Yelp
Kimchi was good, we had several varieties. Bibimbap was excellent. Portions were large but not ridiculous. Overall I was very happy with our decision to stop in. We'll be back.
google avatar

Leah F.

Yelp
Very Americanized Korean food - Bulgogi And galbi is what you'd expect and good/ kimchi was not good - no more seafood pancake - I order the seafood tofu soup/jigae and it was great!!!
google avatar

Mimi S.

Yelp
Food here is so good, just comfort Korean staples with great flavor, my sister and I really enjoyed our lunch here and the staff is so nice!
google avatar

Jen A.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I last visited. Definitely pre-pandemic. I've been cautiously venturing out again. Parking in the attached structure is still free on the weekends. Went to Hoya with a friend on a Saturday night. It was surprisingly not too busy and we were able to get a table right away. The menu is slightly different from the last time I came but everything still looked good. We opted for the bento boxes for dinner. I got chicken Katsu and my friend got Bulgogi. We also got a plate of dumplings but finished them before I remembered to take the picture. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. We even went with the waitress recommendation of grapefruit shoju instead of peach. It was pretty good. Overall, great dining experience.

Yelp
I've looking for a good Korean restaurant for a while and always heard disheartening things about this place. Glad that I finally made it here to find out. First visit; going basic with Beef Bulgogi/rice with a side of kimchi (cabbage, not cucumber or any other variant). I am very impressed!!! The food is spot on as well as the service! I will be returning and bringing friends. Thank y'all for a great dining experience.
