On the Grid : HTW Berlin

"In 2006 the University of Applied Science Berlin settled here, building its second location in the old industrial buildings of the cable factory KWO and AEG buildings. The whole campus area at Wilhelminenhofstraße includes both landmark architecture and new buildings. Students can relax in front of the cafeteria on the beach at river Spree or enjoy a coffee in the large courtyard. Although you cannot tell its design background by the name, HTW’s design department is quite successful and well known in the German design community. The HTW is also one of very few public universities with a game design department." - sehen & ernten

Maybe not as big like other universities but HTW has a serene environment with nice buildings.

If you are an international student, specifically outside of the EU, DO NOT GO HERE !!!! THEY ARE A SCAM !!!! I went there for a semester, took and passed 26 ECTs worth of classes, however they mysteriously do not appear on my official transcript. When asked about them they just admitted it was their mistake, refused to fix it and just gave me an "annex" with my grades. That "annex" means nothing in my country, which means I have lost around 2 courses worth of credits and will not be able to graduate, have to pay 500 euros for credits and cannot take up my graduate job as I had planned for the past 7 years of my education. International Office stopped responding and will just not help at all. They refuse to give me a correct transcript because "they don't understand why I need it so bad" and "their system just can't" even though they admitted fault and I do have the grades and did everything right. Their little mistake cost me my life. How can they call themselves an international school, if they can't accommodate to international student's needs?! This goes out to Paul C., Sofia O., and anyone who was working in the International Office during the 23-24 Winter Semester and ignored and dismissed my cries for help. May you always remember that your ignorance ruined my life plan and left me in debt. My country does not spoon-feed me jobs or financial aid like yours, I will be left in the dust to rot because you failed to do your job correctly. Hope this serves as a warning, and if anyone has any information on how I can file a legal complaint against this school, please let me know. I have everything in paper trail.

Amazing infrastructure and best professors but in this time we are not lucky enough to have face to face intersection with professors or to use campus. If you want to study here then better study after COVID. I don’t find it worth to have a paid course and have online class. Do not expect any support from management.

Great university with great number of technical and commercial courses. Good campus and pretty good facilities for students. Many students even successfully have represented Germany in the recent Olympics. Recommended.

I studied at HTW and was very happy with the education. Teachers are sometimes not great to be honest, but that pales in comparison to the teachers at a private college in Berlin. In contrast some of the teachers are very good and run great lectures.

Literally trash, I went there to get information about the international students, first I checked out at what times can I get a personal talk then I went there to the room number 151 at the the time which was given to me, the woman who works there didn't give me any single information, as I explained to her that I speak German fluently, instead she sent me to the room number 038 and I had to wait one hour to talk to the person there, the woman who works there has the bitchest face I've ever seen, she even didn't talk to me face to face but she was working on the computer while I was explaining my situation then she told me to open the website and I will find the informations. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time by going there. By the way, on the next day I went to The "BEUTH Hochschule " without any appointment and I got all the informations I need as the staff there are so friendly.
