"Huahua’s Taqueria ditches the pretense of the South Beach scene for simple Mexican food. To start? Sweet corn and queso are musts, followed by a hodgepodge of tacos with all the fixings one could imagine (carnitas, fish, or veggies to name a few)." - Dara Smith

We stopped here for lunch. The staff was incredibly attentive in the meal was very quick. The rest of my party really enjoyed their meals including the tacos. I got the steak burrito, which was OK. I come back

Suchada Nittaya

Google
Nice, quick and easy meal for lunch. I tried both BBQ Carnitas Tacos and Burrito were tasty.

If you love tacos, THIS is the place to be. The tacos are delicious, tasteful and satisfying. The portions are perfect, the burritos are big, and the guacamole is so yummy! If you are in the mood for a drink, their homemade frozen margaritas are a must! The service is fast and the prices are good.

Google
MY TACOS WERE AMAZING!!! I got the Guaco taco (THE BEST), the steak taco (SO GOOD!) and the grilled mahi taco (mahi was super salty so I could not finish it.) I also got a strawberry margerita which was delicious. So glad I found this place!

Suzie Lee

Google
Delicious tacos Guided by the reviews, my husband and I decided to drop into this low key restaurant just off the Lincoln Road Mall for dinner. We ordered a blackened shrimp burrito, taco salad with grilled steak and crispy fish tacos. The taco salad was tasty but disappointing because the grilled steak was cold! On the other hand, the burrito was good and the fish tacos were delicious! This is a good spot for tacos away from the tourist strip!

Google
A must visit taqueria at south beach Miami, very good food & fast service . Very very tasty . They have vegetarian options as well. The sweet corn they make is the best I had by far. Also their prices are affordable compared to other restaurants in the area. Limited seating area but totally worth it. Totally recommend it.

Google
Definitely some of the best soft shelled tacos, burritos & burrito Bowls near Lincoln Road Mall also probably the best I had in South Beach. If you order fish you can have it fried or grilled. There's a few seats by the window and more seats available to eat outside in the front. They have a small but decent variety of beers too.

Google
The best tacos in Miami! I’ve lived in Austin before and never expected to eat tacos this good in Miami. These are the best tacos I’ve ever had. Try the Mahi & shrimp + get some queso it’s delicious. All for $12, you can’t beat it.

Yelp
The quest for the perfect taco must continue. As such it is my sacred duty to review Huahua's. Huahua's does not have the cool underground atmosphere or the lines that Bodega has a couple blocks away. The atmosphere is a zero but I came to eat. They have outdoor seating and umbrellas. I ordered the carne asada, carnitas, and Korean tacos. The carne asada reminded me of San Fran mission district tacos. Something authentic in the way they cook the skirt steak. Everything very tasty. The portions are a little bigger than Bodega (I have to compare because they are around the corner). The service is non pretentious and good. They have great happy hour deals. Huahua's is not the holy Grail but worth a stop on your quest.

Yelp
I have been coming here regularly for a few years to take advantage of good Mexican food that won't break the pockets. I enjoy the tacos, quesadillas and of course the Yelp complementary chips and queso that I get with the check in. They have always been nice and nicely located in the Lincoln Road area.

Coleman C.

Yelp
Very sad how this place has gone down hill over the years. I used to come here back when I was in high school like ten years ago. Smoking a doink and hitting Huahua's was a minimum biweekly occurrence. Their steak burritos were the best on the beach. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. Came here for the taco Tuesday deal, which is their the only reason I'm giving two stars and not one. Great value. I got 6 tacos for around $20. Three out of the six were cold. Food came out fast, which is good. Location is great with parking everywhere around. I hope they can make a turn around. Miami Beach needs better Mexican options with good taco Tuesday deals.

Primo L.

Yelp
Wanted to leave Huahua with one final five star review as thanks for feeding me with such consistently wonderful Mexican food that I can't remember a single bad meal here in ten years. Huahua was always there for me, the staff always pretended to not laugh at my gringo Spanish, but giggling made the experience funnier for everyone. (I still can't pronounce Jarritos). Adios, Huahua. You'll be missed.

David Z.

Yelp
Do not alter this menus genius ingredient combos. The burrito was stellar, and so was the quesadilla, corn and barbacoa taco. Too bad I only have a stomach.

Parker S.

Yelp
We had a decent experience at Huahuas. The food was good, but didn't blow either of us away. The seating is mostly outdoors which wasn't a problem for us, but could be for some! The food: The quesadilla was dripping in grease so bad I could barely hold it. I mean it was delicious so thats a bonus. The queso and chips we got were "meh" just normal Moes style white queso. My wife got a lime margarita, but the machine broke and they only had strawberry, but she rather enjoyed it so bonus for a good margarita! Overall, if you want a quick Mexican bite this will definitely do the job. Just don't expect super memorable food.

De'Anna W.

Yelp
Not bad! Was walking around the area on a Saturday afternoon and came across this place. The prices were lower than most spots in the area, there was no line and plenty of tables for outdoor dining so I chose to eat here. You get a free small chips and queso with a Yelp check in and that's what really sold me. The cashier knew exactly what I was talking about and how to redeem it so that's always a plus because a lot of people lately don't even know that they have a Yelp offer. I got a chicken quesadilla, side of guac and then the chips and queso. Everything was good. I'm not really a fan of fajita veggies and I missed the part where they added it to all quesadillas (my mistake) but I just picked them off and I was fine. Chips weren't the freshest. Nothing special but they were free so hey...I'm not mad about it. Overall a decent lunch for $11.

Yelp
Randomly went to this yacht spot the tacos were just okay but the elote was the highlight of the meal . The fish tacos could use more seasoning and the staff wasn't really friendly. I would try again but probably jot anytime soon.

Yelp
Fresh ingredients | Authentic | Decently Priced Huahua was across the street from where I was staying when I was in Miami. The first day I got here this was the first meal I had. Not pictured - steak and friend chicken tacos with a fountain diet soda. 4 tacos and the fountain drink came up to almost $30... which was too expensive for my taste. $4-$4.50 per taco and a $4 fountain drink came as a shock. However it was very fresh and flavourful. Towards the end of my trip I wanted to give them a second try so I headed over during happy hour. The shrimp tacos were $3 each and wow! These did not disappoint. They were made fresh to order and there was good sized shrimp on each taco. Topped with a crema and cilantro with some nice hot sauce to top. Had I known about happy hour before I would have gone at least once a week. I've heard that their quesadilla's are super good as well.

Lixandra T.

Yelp
Came in on a rainy day because my friend wanted an elote. It's a small place. The staff is really nice, but the place is not really Mexican. I was intrigued by the names of the tacos, but it is more of an American version of a Mexican establishment and actual Mexican.

Nathan M.

Yelp
This Taqueria was very good. At the end of Lincoln Road, this place offers elevated versions of normal Mexican comfort food. Note...only outdoor seating. I would have rated them a 5 but their margarita machine was broken and they were out of Queso. So this last point may seem petty for me to downgrade for, but in Miami not many places have queso and chips and my daughter picked this place ONLY because it was on the menu. Based on the food we did get, it would be a 5. All the seating was outdoor with awnings to keep the sun from melting you while you eat. Parking is typical for the area, which is mostly street and small parking lots nearby or one of the mega garages that support the Lincoln Road area. Let me spend a sec on the tacos. They are about $4.50 each, but are exceptionally good. The fish was crispy, the pork was super tender, and all of the onions, radishes and other accoutrements we're fresh and crispy. All wrapped in soft flour tortillas. Just simply great. In the pre-yelp days when travelling away from home I used the old school technique of "follow the locals". By that standard, this place would also be a 5. Almost all of the outdoor seating was full here, compared to the mostly empty tables at the neighboring pizza/wine joint.

Ivan A.

Yelp
If you want a street side, simple taco environment, this is the one. My new fav is the Korean. Not traditional but worth the excursion.

Cheryl W.

Yelp
While the customer service was great. The food was just okay, it didn't really have an authentic Mexican taste. While I prefer flour tortillas over corn tortillas, the three of us all agreed that the food was lacking that real Mexican flavor. Would I come back you ask? Absolutely; the food was fast and served the purpose of eliminating the hunger; however I would pick another spot if I had a craving for authentic Mexican cuisine.

Alex C.

Yelp
Wow! For starters, the service was amazing with the cashier making one feel so welcomed. The food was delicious & so tasty. I had 3 tacos: grilled shrimp, BBQ Pork & last but not least a Steak taco... there wasn't ONE favorite as I enjoyed all 3 equally. Yummmm!!! I was skeptical about the margarita but cashier offered me a sample taste and it was to die for. So glad I stopped here for lunch.

Finlay G.

Yelp
It was really good!! I got a burrito and I ate every bite. Definitely would recommend this place!

Suzy W.

Yelp
Omg what happened to this place? Used to be so good! The fried chicken taco I don't know if it's even chicken It was like smalle fried I don't knwow her I took one bite and spit out and ran So gross!!!

Natalie A.

Yelp
Great food! Reasonable prices! If you're looking for a delicious lunch spot, would highly recommend this place! I ordered two tacos to-go and they were a great size and had amazing flavor. I ordered the crispy shrimp taco and the grilled fish taco and both were delicious!!! Also had an order of chips with delicious queso! So good! It's an order up style with some limited seating but a great place to grab some quick & delicious food that won't break the bank. If you're in the area, would highly recommend checking this place out! Enjoy!

Nicole D.

Yelp
EVERYTHING was delicious!! We got a variety of tacos and quesadillas to split between us along with chips and queso. Which stole the show! That cheese was DELICIOUS!! I will say my least favorite was the fried chicken taco. The chicken lacked flavor and there was nothing fried about it. Overall the place was cute, the food amazing and definitely a hit!

Kevin H.

Yelp
AmaZing place; come here on my lunch break all the time. Appreciate the service and the quality of food

SpaHa H.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick snack on a shopping afternoon. The shrimp taco was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. To me $5 is a wee bit pricey for a taco but there were plenty of largish shrimp in there so I guess it's not so bad. They even have a cute dog watering staircase for all size puppies! I'll definitely be back with a bigger appetite!

Manjusha S.

Yelp
If you are in Miami and in the Lincoln Mall Road area, this is a great spot for authentic Mexican food. Great variety of tacos, burritos, apps, etc. They have a few tables outside for seating. You place your order and then try to grab a table to sit and eat. Once you place your order, they give you a number and the food will come to you. You didn't have to wait too long for the food. As a yelp elite member, when you check in, they give chips and queso complimentary on the house. So definitely recommend doing that. We were a group of 5 so we all got our own things. Here is what we got: 1. Veggie burrito- very authentic. It has portobello mushroom, grilled veggies, rice, black beans and spicy tofu crema. If there are any ingredients you don't like, you can ask them to omit it. They were super nice about that. 2. Grilled Chicken Burrito- similar to veggie burrito except with chicken in it. It was the perfect size for one person. Also very flavorful. 3. Chili Rubbed Shrimp Tacos with Cilantro, cabbage, spicy mayo. Delicious and recommend. 4. Fried chicken taco - Jalapeño cornbread croutons, cabbage, ancho ranch, cilantro. Also, very good. 5. Guaco - Grilled veggies, fried avocado, guacamole, spicy tofu crema, cilantro. A great vegetarian taco. Overall it was definitely a great find while walking in this neighborhood.

Jon D.

Yelp
Size always matters especially when you're paying over $5 per taco plus delivery and tip. Taking off a star due to the portion size of the mahi mahi tacos, not sure what happened but the size of the mahi-mahi used to be big, I got a few tacos today and you could barely see the fish. Sizing should be consistent across the board on every order. I'll try again another time hopefully they can get their act together in regards to the size of the fish!

Nina G.

Yelp
Nice little taco joint. The fish tacos and the rubbed prawn tacos are delicious. Sweet staff and more options if you are into quesadillas and burritos instead.

Emmy S.

Yelp
The food is fresh and delicious, best queso and frozen marg. Staff is beyond sweet, friendly beach vibes such a good spot.

mike c.

Yelp
So fresh and tasty. Steak tacos, chicken burrito, shrimp quesadilla, all faves of hours. Beware the Google information for their hours. We just missed their closing tonight because Google has them closing at 11 when it's actually 10pm. We were so bummed. Next time.

Adam K.

Yelp
There is no customer service at Huahua's Taqueria. I placed my order with Toast and picked up my shrimp tacos to enjoy at home. Eric gave me a securely wrapped order of nachos and I didn't realize until I was at home that I was cheated. I called the Huahua's 15 times before he answered. Eric told me there is no manager working at the store for the next 3 days! And no one else can adjust my order or give a refund. You know what it sounds like? Sounds like BS. Do NOT order Take Away from this place... the headache is not worth it. They're arrogant and unhelpful.

Sharon L.

Yelp
Sad to give Huahua's only 2 stars after having high expectations for the tacos, but they were truly disappointing and subpar. My friend and I decided to pick up 3 tacos to share on our way back to the hotel and decided on the fish, steak, and al pastor tacos. We requested any salsas that they had to be included with the tacos and were reassured that they would include them on the side. Lo and behold when we got to the hotel - no salsas. Each taco was also just so disappointing. The fish taco had absolutely no seasoning, and while the slightly soggy batter could be excuseable for a takeout order, it was still overall bland and tasteless. The steak tacos were chewy, tough, and dry but did have a bit more seasoning than the fish tacos. My friend had her first al pastor taco here, and I'm slightly horrified that this was her first impression of al pastor because it just absolutely missed the mark. The only redeeming quality was that it had the pineapple and was still more flavorful than the other 2. For $16 for 3 tacos, I really was expecting more.

Jonathan A.

Yelp
We ended up here after walking down Lincoln Road seeing all the restaurants hawking everyone passing by. The tacos are good but not great and more the hipster taco variety than anything authentic. I got a bbq carnitas taco, an Al pastor and a Baja fish. The first two has good flavors but the meat was dry like it had been sitting around too long. The Baja fish was good as well but the fish pieces were super small and dry. The best part of the whole experience was the chile sauce they bring to the table. If you have to be on Lincoln Road you can do worse. I'd recommend skipping the whole street as far eating goes.

Katy K.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to these tacos from the great reviews. However--Between the flour tortillas, an unruuly fish to shell ratio, watered down margs, stale chips, and ketchup/marinara tasting salsa, I would probably not recommend. However, FYI, there's a taco Tuesday deal. Go if you're looking for something cheap (relative to other places in the area). The other spots on Lincoln have nicer outdoor seating areas. This is more of a commercialized-hole-in-the-wall-tourist-trap. Salud!

Ruth B.

Yelp
Order at the counter, get your number and the food is served. Three of us had three different types of tacos and not one of us was thrilled. Have to pay for chips and salsa which always annoys me. The chips aren't even worth paying for- greasy and the salsa wasn't very flavorful. They have margarita but not made with tequila- made with something else not sure what. I'm guessing a wine based type of cocktail. They have beer too. Tried the Mexican street corn and it was underwhelming too. I won't be back.

James W.

Yelp
This place was recommended by a girl at the bar in our Hotel. We ubered here which was 8 mins away, we definitely were not disappointed with this place. The food was great very flavourful. We got the fish tacos, al pastor taco, nachos & the corn, it was delicious! definitely worth the $$ spent. Good value for $$ & definitely friendly people!

Florencia Q.

Yelp
The elotes are the best you will ever have! Don't forget to use your check in special with Yelp.

Grace G.

Yelp
TACOS to die for! Probably one of my favorite taco places on the beach. My old boss recommended this place and I recently came to eat with my friend. We came in Sunday evening and got the chance to sit outside. We ordered some fish tacos, fried chicken tacos, an elote and some chips and queso. The fish tacos were great, make sure to add some lime. The elote is delicious, just the right amount of taste. We also had the chance to get some chips and queso. Soo good! Honestly I would come back and eat in a heart beat. This place is that good. The service was excellent and the food was even better. Thanks for a good meal. Next time I'll try the mahi mahi tacos as I had my eye on those.

Raquel P.

Yelp
So pleasantly surprised !! Not a fan of taquerias or Miami Beach but loved Huahua's. The staff was nice and patient while order was placed and it was a good vibe. The margaritas while I was a little skeptical turned out to be good and had sufficient liquor in them. The steak quesadillas were delicious while it should come with a side of free guacamole. About the steak taco salad it comes with a delicious sauce and the steak is very tasty also. The salad is very savory and would have been amazing with some refried beans and a bigger taco shell. Also I had to ask for sour cream and guaca which I think should be alongside. The outside seating is pleasant and there is parking on the street that is not too bad. Will definitely be returning.

Suzie L.

Yelp
Delicious tacos Guided by the reviews, my husband and I decided to drop into this low key restaurant just off the Lincoln Road Mall for dinner. We ordered a blackened shrimp burrito, taco salad with grilled steak and crispy fish tacos. The taco salad was tasty but disappointing because the grilled steak was cold! On the other hand, the burrito was good and the fish tacos were delicious! This is a good spot for tacos away from the tourist strip!

Jerry S.

Yelp
Nothing special, I only do takeout here but the food is consistently good and not as expensive as everything else in the area.

Jenn K.

Yelp
Yummy autenitico Mexican spot toward the end of Lincoln Rd mall. I had the veggie/mushroom quesadilla and a side of rice and beans along with a Mexican Coca Cola.

Evelyn L.

Yelp
Meh. The margaritas were not good. The queso was alright. Not bad. The steak nachos were fair for me. I think I had about 6 bites and I was done. Just not exciting enough to eat more of. The portion was good. Definitely to be shared unless you're starved. The sauce the meat was cooked in tasted like possibly a mole, and I'm not a fan of mole but that's not their fault. One bite tasted fishy indicating cross contamination. I'm not allergic to fish but I don't want to taste fish in my steak nachos. Carnitas tacos were very good. That was the highlight.

Garrett P.

Yelp
Came for a quick bite and discounted margs - not disappointed! Food was very quick - the tacos were great, especially the portobello mushroom taco!! It had great hot sauce added. Marg was strong, went with the strawberry one, yummy! Limited outdoor seating - would recommend ordering delivery or takeout.

Msjayfab G.

Yelp
Delishhhhhh! Defo one of my top 5 Mexican joints. Simple and full of flavor. And the elote was great and the cheese sauce with the chips were to die for.

Michael F.

Yelp
We came here because we heard about the fried chicken taco, and we weren't dissapointed! It wasn't the best taco ever, but it was tasty. We also ordered a grilled steak taco which was really good! Lots of flavor on the steak and the green salsa on that taco was really good. I'd say the Grilled Steak Taco was better than the fried chicken taco. We also checked in on Yelp and got our free Queso Blanco and chip. These were just OK. Nothing special, the queso was kinda runny. Overall, a good place - but I'm not racing back here if I'm in the area again.

Cynthia C.

Yelp
It was awesome!!! Chips and Queso service was awesome e ambiance was very nice recommend

Nasha P.

Yelp
Out of the million (I'm exaggerating a little) taco places there are in Miami. I just keep coming back to Huahua's. They just get it right each and every time and if anything they have gotten better over the years, and I've lived on the beach for almost 7 years already. If you are ever in this neck of the woods or anywhere near Lincoln Road, and you love tacos. This place is not to be missed. P.S. don't forget to ask for corn tortillas instead of flour if you are gluten free :) your welcome.

Kipp A.

Yelp
3 huge tacos, steak fish and shrimp. All excellent. Sidewalk seating and a seated bar. The sauce and relish was awesome!

Michelle B.

Yelp
My favorite food is Mexican - I am addicted to chips and salsa. I go to Mexican for the chips and salsa and margaritas hands down. Do not go to Huahua's for the margaritas or salsa - otherwise you will be greatly disappointed. Luckily, I wanted to explore more and had the elote - which was absolutely amazing! I could have eaten three but sadly only ordered one. I am not a big taco fan so just ordered a vegetarian taco Guaco that had fried avocado (interesting) and pickled onions. It was quite tasty. I was almost tempted to order the fried chicken and jalapeño taco but have been doing very good on my vegetarian eating habits and came close to breaking but was strong. The frozen margarita is that fake lime mix - no me gusta. And the salsa was bland and nothing worth getting excited about. I will definitely visit again just for the elote - best ever I have had. Nothing else matters when the elote is that good! Shout out to the waitress serving as cashier also. I stopped by the other day and not waited on so left but decided to try again. Tip: Go onside to register to order first then find your outdoor seat to receive service.

Paulet D.

Yelp
This is my go to place on the beach when I don't know what to eat or when I'm just craving a really good salad. Been coming to this place for years and it never disappoints. Everything is made to order, delicious and fresh. The tacos are so delicious, my favorites are the fried chicken & steak. Burritos are awesome too specially with shrimp. My FAVORITE thing to eat here is their taco salads. OMG to die for! It's a HUGE mountain of lettuce, cabbage, corn, beans, a couple more veggies and your protein of choice on top of a fried tortilla shell. I always get it with steak because it's kind of spicy and the sauce brings out the flavors. Their frozen margaritas are refreshing and tasty specially on a hot Miami day.

Angela M.

Yelp
Fresh fast healthy and tasty food! So glad I was able to try this place. Taco salad was great. Nice service and staff t

Emily E.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. We had the crispy pescado, grilled mahi, and steak tacos--all incredibly delicious. Beautiful outdoor seating, prime location, and superior service. Will be back for the fish tacos and nachos the second my plane touches down in Miami next time!

Liz V.

Yelp
Food is always amazing quality and the customer service is like no other. Definitely a frequent stop of mine.

Mike E.

Yelp
Best tacos I've ever had We came here 2X during our trip to Miami Beach. Couldn't get enough of these tacos!!
