"A warmly lit, unpretentious two-storey bar just off a main nightlife thoroughfare that grew from a portable tuktuk operation into a neighbourhood favorite; live music spills onto the street and a convivial, local crowd mixes with tourists. The owner and bartender, Dara Sok, started the concept in 2017 by setting up foldout counters and stools at a park, and has since expanded the space to include a patio, pool table and a family-style karaoke room. Signature drinks include a tequila-based cocktail called “What’s Good” — blended with peach liqueur, fresh passion fruit, lime juice and topped with Angostura bitters — which is sweet but well balanced and a refreshing antidote to the heat." - Michelle JN Lim

The bars a bit away from the crowded bar street so it's perfect if you wnat to stay near the action but still be able to have a nice relaxed drink. The bartender was great and prepared an amazing cocktail with less sugar as requested. Spicy Banana chips were served alongside and were a perfect pairing snack with the cocktail. The ambience is great and a good spot away from the loud music.

I liked this place 5 years ago and its still a nice spot to hang out. Tthats what I like about Bassac Lane. Nice life music on Friday evenings.

Food and drinks are great but service is awful. Only customers in the place and impossible to get service without getting up from table walking over to bar where staff are glued permanently to their phones. Ordered steak with fries. Was served chicken. Asked to correct it but when the steak was brought, it was obviously the same fries, stone cold. Requested new fries. Waited about half an hour. When they didn't come asked waited about it and she said "no, cannot have new fries" Had to get the manager involved. Staff training is clearly extremely lacking.

If you are looking for an open space local pub with a relaxing environment for a get together with friends and family, you can consider giving this a try. The food is delicious at a reasonable price. The band is also available sometime in the week. The service is also great.

We had a good fun jug of cocktails and beers here. An owner of a brewery was launching a beer and we got a free round and he was singing terrible karaoke which was fun and lots of his staff were cheering and he stuck at it. Full of Khmer people having a proper party. Good vibes.

Went there on Wednesday night to celebrate. We were the only customers there, which surprised me became usually you can never get a seat. They would keep offering more drinks and also let us know to order before last call. Can't thank them enough for their good service and their awesome drinks. Their cocktail jugs are a bargain and their "why not" is a definite must try! Update: Now they've added a new menu. Pizza was nice. Disco fries a success! And the chicken katsu was pretty good too. Complaints: It is difficult for them to customize food, for example, if you order things without any chili in them, they will come out bland, but still with chili. So, if you have any dietary restrictions, this isn't the place for you. Also, the edamame was disappointing: colder than it should have been, and even with the huge dump of chili salt on the top, no flavor overall.
