1st time here. Ordered two piazzas and they tasted amazing! Both have become our favorites. We had the pickled pizza & Hawaiian-ish

Google
Extremely happy with our experience here! This is the second year in a row we have brought a large party (40-50 people) and the service, food, prices, everything has been stellar. We worked with Eli this time and he was extraordinary! Attentive and thorough. The wait staff handled everything seamlessly. Even providing us with individual checks across several tables including our children’s orders. Everyone said the food was delicious. We have large team dinners often and it’s very difficult to find a place that will accommodate groups like us and I couldn’t be happier! All I had to do was call ahead to reserve tables and they managed it perfectly from there. No up-charge for a special room or anything. Thank you!!!

Google
We went as a large group and we had very good service and the food was great. Our server let us take our time to see each other but was also great at checking in with us incase we needed anything. It is on the more spendy side of things but the portions were very generous and the flavors were fantastic! I can't speak to how fast service is, as I said before, we were in a larger party and were given more time for socializing. I can say there were smaller tables near by us with couples that were sat after us but were also served food before us, in what I would consider, a very reasonable time. It was a very good experience.

Google
This place definitely deserves five stars, and it’s mainly because of how they handled things when the night didn’t go perfectly. They were absolutely slammed when we came in — it was Parents Weekend, plus the Western Michigan game, so the place was packed. The kitchen was backed up, everything came out late, and out of the three pizzas we ordered, one of them arrived room temp instead of hot. Normally that would’ve been pretty frustrating, but the way the staff handled it completely changed the experience. Our server, Jack, was outstanding. Even under pressure he stayed friendly, attentive, and on top of things. Honestly one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time. The manager also came by to apologize personally, explained that this isn’t their usual standard, and offered to make it right. They comped one pizza completely and even gave us a discount on the rest of the bill. That kind of accountability goes a long way. The food itself was really good — great flavors, high-quality ingredients — and the vibe in the restaurant is super lively. Considering how busy it was, I can totally see how the delays happened, and I appreciate that the team owned up to it and made sure we left happy. At the end of the day, mistakes happen, but the way they handled it showed a lot of professionalism and care for their customers. That’s why it’s still a full five stars from me.

Google
Place was packed when we walked in on Saturday evening. We debating on staying but they had to be busy for a reason so we decided to try it. We are glad that we stayed because we had never been here before and it was awesome! Drinks and food came very fast considering how busy the place was. I thought we would be waiting forever but the whole staff was working hard. You didn’t see anyone playing on their phones or giggling in the corner. As soon as a table left there was 3-4 employees around the table to clean it off. Looked like some large parties were in the front area. They had the football games on and the manager came to check on us. He even refilled our waters without asking. Our server was Charlee and she had the whole bar section. She was fantastic and kept up with everything. We will definitely be back

Kara N.

Google
We had the pizza and spinach artichoke dip. Pizza was really good but the spin dip was probably the best I have had. The strawberry basil tea (with alcohol) was dangerously good. Our server, Arielle was amazing. Very attentive and didn’t skip a beat. We will definitely return.

Michelle M.

Google
This place is amazing! The food, atmosphere, staff. They work so hard for their customers and it shows they want to do the best they can. I get why people want to hangout and eat there. We were quite the large party for a family get together and they were outstanding for us and maintaining the flow of everything else. The food is fantastic and fairly priced. Elie and his staff run this place well!

Google
Stopped at HUB Tavern + Grill when visiting our daughter at Western. Food: We ordered a variety of food (wings, kid’s pizza, burger, chicken sandwich) and it was all good…the Nashville Chicken Sammy was very good. Service: Our waiter was friendly and interactive. Atmosphere: Cool atmosphere inside.

Yelp
Dan our server was excellent. He went above and beyond to make our dinner special. The food wAs delicious and fresh. We will be back soon.

David J.

Yelp
Went with a group of friends (had a reservation). Waited a LONG time between ordering and getting drinks...then appetizers....then our entrees. They ran out of silverware, ran out of plates! This is not the first time that happened! Waitress was nice and friendly, and food was pretty good, but the restaurant aeemed unprepared for actual 'customers'!

Noah S.

Yelp
Nice bar with great food! The wood fired pizza is above average and they do a great double fried wings, the chicken wings are juicy and huge! The service was just ok but it's a bar and our waiter was busy so I don't hold it against them, he really only came over once was trying to order more drinks but not a big deal. Will be back

Yelp
Food was fresh and delicious. Service was great even though we were a party of 7. Ambiance was good also.

M M.

Yelp
They have an extensive menu which was appreciated by one of the people in our party. I tried the Olive burger and thought it was good but had a bit too much sauce. I think you should poke an olive through a toothpick and put it through the bun for a fun presentation. Another guest got the small chicken nachos and that could have served 3 people. Our third guest had the mac and cheese and said it was very rich. Get the Monkey Bread too!

Jared H.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect with this meal so I got something slightly different than my usual. I decided the chicken because it's chicken and a good place can make a pan roasted chicken delicious.....and boy did they. The chicken was so juicy it had me wondering if it was even cooked. It was absolutely perfect. The potatoes were amazing, zucchini was nice and cooked, everything about this meal was incredible. The lady had Mac and cheese with bacon and she's a picky Mac and cheese fan.....she smashed the whole thing. Our waitress was great and attentive as well. If I lived In town I'd go here every week!

Yelp
I tried this place during a girls day out. We enjoyed pizza and I ordered chicken sandwich. I asked them to make the chicken fried instead of grilled and they were happy to do so. The sandwich was so good and tasty! My friend tried thier pickle pizza and she was impressed. My only complaining is about the lighting. It was a little dark during the day time.

Yelp
Steak Frites 100!!! Olive burger 100!! Love the Hub, and had not been in awhile. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and it was great. The smashburgers are solid but the steak frites impressed me so much. Perfectly done hangar steak, which isn't easy for many restaurants to say. Great job in the kitchen!

Yelp
Stopped in to the Hub Tavern recently for a midday snack and had a nice experience at the bar. The space is huge and would be great for groups. It was an off time so it was really quiet when I was there. It's a little confusing entering because there are a couple of entrances, and we didn't see a host anywhere nearby so we just went up to the bar. I'm sure it's probably more visibly staffed during busier times. The menu is a bit eclectic but has wood fired pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. I ordered the nachos, expecting a pretty large portion - the bartender let us know it was generous. The chips were super crispy, and I really liked the tender chicken. This is a great bar snack that I'd order again, and definitely could be shared with a group as a starter. I liked this place and would try a pizza next time! I liked some of the more unique menu items like shrimp toast. They have "Hub day" every Wednesday with deals on food and drinks. We got lucky with a street parking spot right out front, but you can also park in the Epic Center ramp, on W Lovell Street, or the Kalamazoo Mall ramp.

Yelp
I think the service and food was ok. We sat outside and the homeless people was kind of distracting.
google avatar

Heather T.

Yelp
The menu is broad enough for everyone to find something to eat. The food is delicious with lots of homemade sauces and dishes. My friend and I both ordered sandwiches - which came with a choice of fries or homemade pub chips. We both chose the chips and they were really good! I tried the crispy chicken sandwich - had a nice Nashville heat to the chicken. Our server, Lucy, was attentive and on top of refills. She made recommendations for us and did not steer us wrong. I watched her deal with a young family and their children and was quite pleasant throughout the encounter. The place is beautiful. Lots of wood and brick - it feels warm and welcoming. The space is larger than I expected - with a full bar and a view of the wood burning pizza oven. I felt the prices were reasonable and the food lived up to what the menu described. More house made items than expected. I'd recommend this place and I plan to bring back more friends. On Wednesdays they have a few specials - they don't call it happy hour but you can get a burger for $5 after 3pm until close!

Alexis B.

Yelp
The sandwich was great; I loved the aioli and seasoning! Nice ambiance. Fries were nothing special but not bad.
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
A cool old brick building location right downtown. The bartender was fun and attentive. The food was good, both the Caesar salad and the hub favorite pizza were a hit. Plus, the tap selection was good - the Great Lakes Winter Ale and the M43 Solis were tasty and we appreciated the tap options.

Ashley B.

Yelp
Calamari was good, my chicken sandwich was hard and the cheese was burned on top of the chicken.
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
We had a great dinner! The service was very attentive and made sure we had drink refills consistently. Started with chips/guacamole that had awesome flavor and chips were homemade while perfectly seasoned. The House bacon smash burger was huge and tasty! My daughter had The Nashville chicken sandwich was cooked to perfection with sauce that rocked her socks off! I had the turkey club with avocado that was huge but had the perfect amount of everything! The winner of the whole meal was the French fries. Out of this world..hot, crispy and salted on point! We will continue to visit this cozy restaurant downtown as this was our second visit:-) Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Presley S.

Yelp
Food was amazing!! And service was great too Dan was so friendly and helpful. We come here pretty often and it's always great, the pizza and the wings are so good.

Dee ..

Yelp
The food was good and always is when we go to eat here and the server was awesome.HOWEVER, we were sitting where the kitchen is and the girl expediting the food was using her bare hands to put fries on plates, she was picking up food that feel on the counters with her hands and putting them back in the plates, all while scratching her head, and touching everything. When my food came I sent it back immediately and informed the waitress why who gave me a look like this was a surprise and got me fresh food that she handled. They need to have better standards on how they handle food.

Jeanette V.

Yelp
They have a variety of options white cheddar Mac and cheese, pizza, salads, burgers all our go to we also usually go here when with a group of people because of the variety and it's actually good. Usually when restaurants do a lot of Different food options they aren't great but the Hub does it well! Great service!

Yelp
Went for Restaurant Week and to have a nice place to take our daughter. I'm so happy to see how busy it was downtown! Husband and I ordered from their Restaurant Week menu (salad choice, entree, and dessert for $35). I ordered the salmon, which is seriously fantastic! The rice cake they serve with it is crunchy and delicious. The miso sauce has some sweetness to it that I love. Husband ordered their steak frites medium rare. It came with chimichurri sauce and, WOW, was that good! He even liked the little salad that was accompanied with the steak! Daughter had their blackened Mahi sandwich which is always a winner. The slaw that comes with that sandwich is such a nice touch of freshness. It was pretty packed when we arrived and the servers were bustling around like crazy. We had very good service, as is per usual with Millennium restaurants. Not overly fussy but you still feel like you're somewhere special.

Keira S.

Yelp
It took 40 silly minutes to get chips and fries! Two things= 40 minutes not okay. They are high out of their mind and they hit the pen right at the restaurant can you believe that???

Mark S.

Yelp
This used to be a great summer place. You could sit outside and they were very friendly if you brought your dog. They have a new policy and you can't have your dog outside. The food and service aren't good enough to come here otherwise.

Yelp
My son and I visited the Hub Tavern + Grill for the first time and we were extremely pleased with the vibe and character of the environment. It's a must see! My son said the Deluxe Smash burger was savory and my wood-fired Hawaiian-ish pizza was flavor blast with immersion of jalapeños and crust had crispy crunch with soft interior. Wood-fired pizza takes someone who pays attention to details and Chef is game-on!

Annie M.

Yelp
I looked at the menu online to get an idea what was available, but when we got to the restaurant the physical menu was different and the items we wanted to order were no longer on the menu. Very frustrating. We also ordered a beer and it took four times (back and forth by the waitress) before we got one that was in stock. I gave the waitress my millennium card number and she said the number is too short and it doesn't exist. So she gave us a card with instructions on how to look up and modify my Millennium rewards card, but the QR code printed on it did not work. The guys said the latch on the bathroom door stall didn't align and had to be hoisted with their foot in order to make it work. The toilet paper rolls were just sitting there and not in the dispenser. Classy. We waited an excessively long time to get our dessert. It also took a long time to get our checks. The atmosphere was nice and the food was good.

Stacy N.

Yelp
just wandered in here while shopping downtown and had a wonderful experience. Interesting cocktails including the boozy hot chocolate. Nice wine selection. We had nachos and they were so good. Great service and fun atmosphere. Worth trying!!

Halle C.

Yelp
when i initially walked in, i was bamboozled by the sign outside. it was not only wood fire pizzas, but also a selection of other land and sea delicacies. i was known as the pickle expert in a past life, so when i saw a pickle pizza, i had to get my claws on it. it was good, but wouldnt write home about it. spinach dip, delish! i even enjoyed the crisp skin of the double fried wings. almost finger licking good. sadly, the downfall was the service. now listen, i am no arm chair quarterback, and tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but i felt like that half eaten icecream cake shoved to the back of the freezer and forgotten about for 6 months. overall, pretty gnarly spot.

Rylee C.

Yelp
First time eating here, staff were super friendly, fast service, and drinks were always full. our waitress Megan was phenomenal and kind. Will be returning for the great food and service! Environment was super cool too!

Yelp
When you walk in, you have plenty of options for seating. More open areas, and a rustic-aesthetic bar in view but still apart from the rest of the restaurant. Perfect date night seating is also available, away from the open area and bar. There are two of these date night areas, both cozy and high class. The Service was spot on. Sometime servers come to often, or not enough. Ours, seated us promptly upon walking in and checked with us frequently, but not to were it was too much, topping off drinks as need be. The food took a little longer than expected, but the waitress gave us updates periodically and gave a discount for the wait- greatly appreciated! I do wish they would had asked where we wanted to be seated. We would had preferred the date night area. Because the venue does have such an open main floor, I can see it getting loud and we definitely could hear at least three conversations going on. We ordered the Electric Goat Cheese Appetizer and it was amazing! Such a nice balance of flavors and the goat cheese was so delicious. Shortly after, came out the Pizza. We ordered the Pesto Chicken and Goat Cheese Pizza. The pizza was good but was missing something that made it, well... great. The pesto was great and the chicken tender, and the artichoke was a nice feature! However, we did find ourselves getting bored after the first slice and to spice it up, we added the tomato base from the Goat Cheese Starter. This added the needed flavors missing from the pizza. The crust also was nothing particularly special and lacked the smoke flavor we sought from the fire oven. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice aesthetic and good food. We can't wait to be back to try the other menu items!

Avianna M.

Yelp
Not my first time eating here but it was definitely my first time ordering a meal myself. Needless to say the service I got wasn't that great, the man I spoke with on the phone was very irritable about my order which everyone has bad days I pushed that aside until I came into the restaurant to pay for my pick up order and the guy I was on the phone with gave me such dirty looks all up until I left. Interesting experience , food is good as always but customer service was terrible.

Laura C.

Yelp
This place was fantastic. Lovely vibes inside the restaurant and the service was out of this world (more on that later), food was so delicious!! we tried the crispy broccoli appetizer, Nashville chicken Sammy, BYO burger, and the cheesecake was to die for! I accidentally left my purse and we had already walked a few blocks when the owner/manager (I assume) so graciously ran behind us and brought me my forgotten purse!

ron c.

Yelp
The food was good and the atmosphere was typical for bar/grill. Our waitress was great which bumps them up to 4-star.

Ryan P.

Yelp
The pizzas were decent - more crust than I prefer though. The mixed drinks were pretty good. It was a weekend evening during dinner time - and it was maybe 50% of capacity. Hub missed the mark in a few ways. We sat down to a "clean" table, that was full of crumbs. Then my water glass had lip stick on it still - which I didn't notice until after my first drink. They didn't have the TV channel with the Pistons game on, so we had to watch whatever game they could find on their basic cable package. The venue was pretty quiet inside - it seemed like you could hear a pin drop at times. There isn't a way to request music, so you are stuck listening to lame 80's classic rock. In the days that followed, my wife and I both got sinus infections that took a week to recover from. We can't help but feel we contracted it at Hub, given how (not) clean things were. We hope they do well. With how busy it was, and them struggling to keep things clean - I fear they won't make it. We might try again in a couple months.

Yelp
I've been here twice now. Both experiences have been excellent. The smash burger is no joke. Angry smash is real spicy so be ready. Nachos are great too. Overall, such a nice addition to downtown Kalamazoo.

Drew G.

Yelp
Amazing burger and service. I had the spicy smash burger and it was great. We came in 45 mins till close and host seemed annoyed was my only complaint. Server was amazing however. Recommend.

Kelly W.

Yelp
We came here from out of town and weren't sure what to expect but we had the perfect late lunch. Food and service were great!

J B.

Yelp
Love the mahi sandwiches, nachos are huge and the chicken is delicious, great prices and super friendly staff.

Yelp
Downtown Kalamazoo at lunch hour on Nov 1st was cold and sunny with great swathes of color still clinging to Autumn trees. Colorful Halloween decor still lined the streets and catch the unwary with little frights. My partner and I had been delayed for days from a celebration meal and finally seated ourselves at the Hub. Our first impressions were of an attractive and freshened older pub with great woodwork and lots of seating. People were scattered about and chatting happily while nearby a handsome woman and her granddaughter shared a meal and many smiles together. I chose a wagyu pastrami sandwich while my spouse chose the signature burger along with house-made chips. While we awaited our orders we enjoyed classic rock music and the many sports sceens scattered about the dining room. Food arrived soon and we fell too with delight. My pastrami was grilled hot and had great flavor with a fine toasted rye bread, cheese, slaw and dressing. Wonderful! Linda's burger was to her liking as meat was juicy and well seasoned on a brioche bun. The chips were hot and crisp if somewhat over salted. Snow flitted down as were left for home satisfied with a great lunch and looking forward to a return trip to the Hub.

Walter B.

Yelp
Great service. Impossible patties are available for those who don't eat animals!! I had a Margherita pizza and it was wonderful.
google avatar

Linda C.

Yelp
Great service and drinks. Monkey Bread is my favorite. Husband got it with vanilla ice cream. Really cool comfortable ambiance. Nice wait staff. Italian beef brisket sandwich was great. Wagu pastrami was OK, but I missed the sauerkraut. Chopped salad was wonderful.
google avatar

Diane D.

Yelp
We did have to wait a bit for our server but he was busy and was very apologetic and friendly ! Food and drinks where good ! Nice atmosphere . Would recommend it to anyone and we plan to to visit again.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
The setting is very relaxed, lots of customers when I visited but still a comfortable noise level. Our waitress was amazing, great service and attentive. Menu options for entrees were a little limited in my opinion (mainly burgers, sandwiches and pizza). However, everything tasted really good. Try to avoid sitting near the door if it's cold out, people regularly coming and going makes the area a bit chilly.
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
Everyone's protein was dry. Curry wasn't spiced enough. Service was very slow. I don't recommend it.

Britt T.

Yelp
Opened up on 12-21 - we had a delicious salad and pizza! We ordered at the counter, as you are supposed to do for lunch, but they brought the food to the table. Everyone in our party of 6 had to wait for the one person's pizza to be ready before everyone was served, but the atmosphere was nice so we didn't mind waiting. Yummy "grinder" sandwich with fries
google avatar

Amanda H.

Yelp
Food is delicious! We got the goat cheese spread for a starter, the copy cat pizza bowl, the curry, and one of the pizzas- food was delicious!! The drinks on the other hand- don't go there if you want a dirty martini- I don't think the bartender understood the assignment and both of the ones we got were very different each time... their signature drinks however are top notch. Great atmosphere.
google avatar

Valerie W.

Yelp
I've only eaten lunch here. The food was fine. There is counter service and someone brings your food, but otherwise there is no one waiting on you. All things considered, I think it's a little over priced for soup/sandwich/salad/flatbread and a rustic tavern vibe.
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
My friend and I gad lunch at The Hub yesterday, and what a delightful surprise THAT was! We each had the grilled chicken sandwich with pesto and cheese. I chose the creamy tomato soup to accompany it, and my friend chose the chicken noodle soup. My was delicious, but hers was astounding! The chicken was in chunks, not small bites! It could have been called a chicken stew! Delicious! The servers were so friendly and helpful. Currently, you place your own order and they bring your meal. Before 3 pm. After that, there is a wait staff. This immediately has become my favorite place for lunch!

Jason Z.

Yelp
Waited over 10 minutes to not even have someone approach our table of 5. Worst experience in Kzoo I've ever had. The food may have been great but we got up and left. The front desk seemed shocked but the host must have made eye contact with us half a dozen times and did/said nothing. Millennium do better.
google avatar

RaeAnn Z.

Yelp
First, we had the broccoli appetizer. It was absolutely delightful. It was crisp and had an amazing Asian sauce with it. Second we had caesar salads - the dressing is made IN HOUSE. It was absolutely so good. Last we split a build your own pizza and it was so so good. Our server was absolutely so attentive and made sure we had refills and everything came out on time. It is a newer restaurant, so it's clean and looks super nice. The tables and chairs were spaced nicely as well as someone who is clumsy with her bag or coat. It was also cool being able to see their kitchen and watch everyone cook.

Gary H.

Yelp
Went Sunday mid afternoon. Nice ambience. Lots of servers on duty so service was super prompt. Appetizer shrimp toast wasn't what we envisioned but it was very tasty. Good craft beer selections. Mac and cheese was hot and gooey and delish and big portion so plenty of leftovers. Wood fired spicy sausage pizza was tasty. The outer crust was nicely charred but the inner crust was floppy so it gets marked down slightly. Good sauce. I enjoyed the leftover cold pizza later that night which is always a sign of good pizza. Overall really good and we will return to try the smash burger and blackened mahi sandwich.

Marilyn C.

Yelp
I went there for lunch. I was surprised that we had to order and pay at the bar. It made sense once they explained that it works best for people on their lunch hour. No waiting for checks, change, cards being run, etc. I ordered the veggie pizza pot pie. It was weird looking and I kind of thought it was a mistake. But it had really good flavor and I liked it. My sister had a burger and said it was good. It seemed a little pricey for what you get but where isn't these days.
