Huber's Butchery

Huber is our favourite butchery in Singapore! Always love the smoked duck breast, the US beef and their ham and sausage selections! Every thing is so fresh and delicious and what sets them apart is their friendly and professional service with pride and joy! They are always so welcoming and knowledgeable to provide advice on the choices and they are meticulous in packaging to ensure the products can stay fresh till it reaches home. They have a bistro too and it never disappoints as well!!!

We ordered a burger, braised oxtail, wieneri sausage and two soups (French onion soup and mushroom soup). Each set came with a generous amount of sides. Soup was so-so. Braised oxtail could be more tender.

The meat in the grocery section is almost always great and the butchers are very good. The bistro though...very average. Went there for the first time last night. I think it was 26$ for a burger and it was not great. Had a bit of friend's steak and it was cooked very well but tasted bland. The side salad was good and was, for me, the best part.

Personally, i really like the burger. The meat patty was well seasoned and extremely juicy. In fact it is one of the juiciest meat patty that i had. The steak on the other hand was rather lackluster in my opinion. There were tons of tendon in the steak so i had a really hard time chewing it. The seasoning on the steak is alright. The onion soup was pretty good The beef sandwich however was terrible. the meat was dry and cold and it was overflowed with fried onions. Honestly it felt like some cheap sandwich which tasted bad I would visit this place again for the burger though this place is not too accessible via public transport

Have been here many times & almost always satisfied with everything they offer, except the meatloaf. The meatloaf is somehow like meat pudding instead of ground meat pate. We have tried other dishes like various steak, burger & stews,all are superb. Today my hubby eats ‘beef short ribs’ and I tried special menu: ‘Brisbane jumbo quail’, gosh so delicious, the beast dish I’ve tried here. I hope it can be their regular menu. All the appetiser & desserts are all good as well. Beside enjoying the meal, you can go to their garden & supermarket that offer western groceries that you might can’t find in the local supermarket.

Disappointed and felt shortchanged I bought 300g of lean minced beef from Hubber’s and paid $15 for it, but when I got home and weighed it before use, it was only 224g. That’s over 25% less than what I paid for. For the premium price they charge, I expected accuracy and honesty. Extremely disappointing experience.

when i went to hubers butchery last saturday, i ordered a flat iron steak in their bistro and it was DELICIOUS furthermore very good value for the portion and quality. Moreover, when i went and bought goods from the butchery, the butchers and cashier was super friendly and welcoming. Overall i really enjoyed visiting this butchery and i will definitely come back. Recommend coming here if you want the best quality meat. There is even a playground and garden for kids to play in.

Visited 5june 24 Staff - all very helpful and friendly Place - very cosy and quiet for weekday dinner but DAMN THE MOZZIES!!! Food - ok, I lost it. I didn't know what to fault! They were ALL SO GOOD! As per images, that's what we had and all were extremely satisfying. For the price and what we had: 1 wine ½ pint 1 French onion soup 1 steak 1 roast beef sando ( not THAT kind of roast beef guys!!!) Apple crumble w ice cream Summed up to 106sgd. Very ok mah!!! So you know what, WE WILL BE BACK!!!! But this time with mozzie spray a plenty because it takes more than mozzies to deter me from eating from what potentially is my new fave resto.

I ordered a VERY EXPENSIVE turkey for our thanksgiving meal. Because we were having a large group, I ordered the biggest one they offered (20-22pounds). When the turkey came, we thought it looked smaller than expected and weighed it - it was 18pounds. I called the store and after they asked me to email a picture of the Turkey, they emailed me back and said it was less weight because they weigh it frozen and we should expect it to weigh less when we get it. I was shocked by this "bait and switch" attitude and will not be shopping there anymore.

This place is amazing. If you're looking for a little bit of Europe in Singapore this is your place. From European steak knives to authentic german mustard and French Bordeaux, they've got it all. The meat selection in the butcher section is really what they're known for. The Argentinian and Australian meats are really beautiful in addition to a dry aged section and plenty of Wagyu options. You won't be disappointed!
