This restaurant is a must for me and my family when we visit the area. It's a charming place full of mountain fishing decorations. There is a nice sized gift shop in the front you must wade through in order to place your name on the list so be sure to do that first, as there is often a wait. You can find all sorts of souvenirs and home items in the shop so be sure to take time to look before you leave.
They have a few large dining areas with room between tables. There are often roaming musicians playing guitar or banjo to enjoy. Each table is set with your own roll of paper towels and will be served "vittles" to go with your meal. These include white beans with turkey "ham", slaw, pickles, onions, and hush puppies and a choice of green beans, mashed potatoes, or fries. These are delicious. I could almost fill up on these alone.
Huck Finn's is best known for their catfish and fried chicken. Both are so delicious that I can never just choose one. They have a good variety on their menu of fried and grilled items. Other items are popcorn shrimp, clam strips, chicken fingers, boom boom chicken fingers or shrimp, trout, salmon, chicken livers, gator tail, country fried steak, chopped steak, frog legs, fried pickles, corn nuggets, cheese sticks, fried green tomatoes, and more.
If grilled is your thing they have a nice assortment of seasonings that include Lemon Pepper, Garlic, Tennessee Grillin', Garden Herbs, BBQ, Cajun, Boom Boom Sauce, and Hot & Spicy. Love heat? They have Nashville Hot fried catfish and chicken.
There's a kid's menu with corn dogs, grilled cheese, hamburgers, and cheeseburgers in addition to chicken fingers, fried chicken, shrimp, and catfish. Their desserts are banana pudding, delicious home made cobblers, ice cream, and sweet potato patties.
The staff here is always sweet and very friendly. They make you feel like family. I highly recommend them.
