"Known for the all-you-can-eat fried catfish and chicken, scratch-made vittles come with every meal served family-style which include cole slaw, hushpuppies, white beans, pickles, and sweet onions. With other favorites such as clam strips, frog legs, and gator tail, you’ll find your fix at this locally-owned and operated restaurant." - Melissa Corbin, Delia Jo Ramsey

Google
Some girls at a local spa recommended Huck Finn's for some good ol' country eating for dinner. Their recommendation did not disappoint. The beans, coleslaw, and hush puppies they bring to the table are bottomless. You can opt for a bottomless side option for your dinner with a side chosen from the menu, but I don't remember the price. I ordered the grilled shrimp + fried catfish dinner. My catfish fillets were significantly smaller than Husband's, but whatever. They tasted delicious. He got the catfish + chicken dinner option, and he said the chicken was pretty greasy (not drained well) but overall, it was outstanding. Our server was excellent and very sweet. It was her fourth day on the job, but she handled everything gracefully, even the nasty customers sitting behind us. The noise level was about what we expected, but it wasn't overwhelming. Just a typical noise level for a rather large dining area. I've thought about those white beans, corn nuggets, hush puppies, and catfish several times since leaving, so believe me when I say we most definitely will be back for another meal or two here.

It was our first time at Huck Finn's and we were really impressed. The service was perfect - shout out to Brook! She was so friendly and attentive. True southern hospitality. The fried chicken and fried catfish were delicious. The coleslaw , beans and hush puppies were perfect sides. The restaurant is very clean, quite large, and has a great southern charm to it. Will be back and highly recommend!!

Google
Food was Great! My sister LOVES the catfish! The family style served “vittles” were all good and complimented the entrees. I only gave it a four star because ordering was a little confusing and instead of purchasing another entree dish for $16.99 that I was not able to eat I could have just ordered the “vittles” which would have been plenty of food for me. I did not find out that it was possible to order “vittles” only until after we were finished eating. Service was great! We only waited 25 minutes to be seated and it was prime dinner time. Highly recommend!

Google
The food, service, and atmosphere here were all amazing 👏. The catfish were the best I've ever had. I had grilled shrimp with cajun seasoning and they were beyond belief. My wife had the salmon and it was perfect. The fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw, pickles, beans, were all some of the best I've ever had. The sweet tea in the mason jar....it was legendary. Best tea I've ever had. Amazing experience! I don't think you will be disappointed.

Google
Fried food at its finest! They have some of the best catfish out there. You can choice the all-you-can-eat option for just a couple bucks more than a plate making it an even bigger bang for your buck. All meals also come with their unlimited vittles but save room for the fish cause it is the best.

Google
This place is a must. Aliz was our waiter and she was amazing. The food be sight looks bland BUT fine let that fool you. The food was WELL seasoned. Everything was amazing that we went back a second time during our stay. The sweet tea is off the charts. We had the catfish dinner and bang bang shrimp. They give you 4 sides that are unlimited, hush puppies, beans, coleslaw, and pickles w/onions. This is a must try...

Google
Food was excellent. Server was attentive and friendly. Love the family style serving of vittles.

Google
This is a unique restaurant that serves family style if you order AYCE. The fried chicken and catfish was very good. It could have used more seasoning for my taste but it was good overall. They bring out pinto beans, cole slaw hush puppies, pickles, and onions for you to enjoy while waiting on your food. The food was hot and fresh and came to the table very quickly. Our server, I'm sorry but I can't remember her name but it started with an N and was an unusual way of spelling it, was so friendly and always checked on us. She was amazing. I will definitely visit again. The AYCE was $24.99 a piece I think.

Yelp
There is always a waitlist. We couldn't in the first time and had to make a reservation for the next day. We even met some regulars who drove from another town just to dine here--testament to the restaurant's exceptional quality. The service was warm and inviting. We were greeted with variety of side dishes. The hush puppies were soooo fresh, crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. We also really enjoyed the pickles and beans. Coleslaw had a hint of sweetness which balanced out the other salty dishes. I ordered grilled catfish and I really liked the light citrusy seasoning. The fillet was soft and easily breakable. It also came with mashed potato + gravy, which was alright. Overall, we had a great experience!

Yelp
Lots of parking, no wait, so many tables! When you're seated, Southern hospitality is their strong suit. Staff is super friendly and helpful. You are started with complimentary "vittles": Baked White Beans & Turkey Ham, Dill Pickles & Sweet Onion Slices, Cole Slaw,Hushpuppies. We heard they do all you can eat catfish, but we were there for a light lunch, so we tried the broiled and fried catfish (both were so delicious). I tried the fried catfish sandwich, if you want something light, but filling, this was a good option! By the way, we loved the Huck Finn theming, they definitely didn't disappoint (all the way down to the restroom). By the way, make sure you read the signs by the restroom, there is some funny stuff!

Yelp
Huck Finn's is a great place to stop in when you're in Pigeon Forge. Great food and great atmosphere. We come here every time we are going through Pigeon Forge. The catfish and gator bites are wonderful. My wife always gets the clam strips and she says they are awesome! I never had the fried chicken, but diners at the next table had it and it looks great. The wait staff has always been great to us every time we've stopped in. Great place. We've never been disappointed.

Scott C.

Yelp
Stopped by here for lunch and was very pleased. We were quickly seated and had menus to order from. The vittles were brought to the table with our large drinks promptly. I did not waste any time getting into the vittles that come with every lunch and dinner order. I had the 1 piece of fried catfish and 1 fried chicken lunch plate with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. The food is very good and the service, (Moe), was also very good. I would recommend this place, and I will be back for sure.

Jimmy T.

Yelp
We went here with a large group (about 40). We were seated fairly quickly. Our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was clean and organized. My wife and I both got the Boom Boom Shrimp. It had Popcorn Shrimp Drizzled in a Spicy & Tangy Boom Boom Sauce. In my opinion the sauce had good flavor but the shrimp seemed undercooked. They were fried but maybe not fried enough (to my liking). The "vittles " that came with the table were really good. The vittles were Baked White Beans & Turkey Ham, Huck's Famous Hushpuppies, Creamy Homemade Coleslaw, Dill Pickle Spears & Sweet Onion Slices. In my opinion for the Boom Boom Shrimp I was skip it and get something else. I give it a 2 star. Everything else I would give a 4 star...

Joel D.

Yelp
All you van eat catfish, great food! Fried fish lover here, had it all over the country, this was good! Comes with viddles included (pork and beans, slaw, hushpuppies). Stopped in our last night in the area after a week, wish we had went sooner.

Phoebe M.

Yelp
With every order the table receives vittles - which is unlimited hush puppies, beans, and pickles. However if you want to split a dinner with someone you automatically have to add $9.50 because of the vittles so I'm not crazy about that. The catfish and chicken are good, but not the best I've ever had. I would not really recommend the boom boom shrimp - instead of lightly tossing the shrimp in the sauce they just pour a bunch of sauce over the top. It may be one of the better choices to eat in pigeon forge, but nothing I would rave about.

Phil P.

Yelp
Fun evening. Nice homey, rustic country decor. Server was so friendly and chatty. Gave us great in about the menu to help us order. Vittles were good, especially white beans and ham. I had the trout with grill seasoning and it was outstanding. Moist, large filet with great flavor from the seasoning. Excellent fries. My wife loved her grilled shrimp.

Noelani M.

Yelp
This is a must stop spot in the area! Our server Mya was awesome and brought us everything we needed and was super nice. The food was so tasty and left us feeling so full. We had the all you can eat chicken/catfish option and it did not disappoint. Definitely come here hungry because you won't want to put your fork down. Everything was good and had a nice vibe.

Joe G.

Yelp
We were sent here by a friend and did not disappoint. Food is family style for the fixens and they have regular menu or an all you can eat catfish and fried chicken. Service was great and ambiance is farm style. Will be back and will recommend.

Sue W.

Yelp
This was such a fun place. Family owned with friendly faces. The fun environment and friendly service it the heart. The Food lacked a little in flavor but was beautifully fried golden brown. I opted for a healthier option with grilled Cajun catfish and shrimp and enjoyed those flavors. I wasn't a fan of the green beens but really enjoyed the Cole slaw. I had to order the candied fried bacon. It satisfied the bacon fan in me. But I didn't taste a candied bacon. They had a fun store to shop a bit with all kind of souvenirs and things. So you could tell it's a local favorite. I now want to buy wide mouth mason jars! The food was good but I'd go back for the experience.

Yelp
The day we flew into Tennessee we went to Huck Finn's for lunch and made use of their lunch special menu (available Mon-Fri 11:30am-3pm, excluding holidays). I ordered the 2-piece fried catfish fillet, and my friend ordered the same but grilled with Tennessee Grillin seasoning. They came with all hush puppies, cole slaw, baked beans, raw onion slices, pickles and one choice of fries, mashed, or green beans for $11.99 each. The mash potato side came with white gravy, and the cole slaw had a hint of mustard, which my friend enjoyed. The food was okay. Our waitress was friendly, and price was very reasonable.

Yelp
Great catfish and the viddles are all you can eat and delicious a must visiting Piegon Forge

Lisa S.

Yelp
Arrive hungry! Wait staff are great. Portions large & not a corporate owned business. Food is yummy.

Kamisha G.

Yelp
Good atmosphere and the food is amazing!! Our waiter was very impressed If you're in Tennessee you must try them.

Doug C.

Yelp
Nothing fancy but extremely good food and plenty of it. This is a go to stop for us every time we visit Pigeon Forge. Excellent service and atmosphere whether we have a party of 4 or 20.

Carol S.

Yelp
We enjoyed the service and food. Large portions of food, with complimentary white beans, cole slaw, picked & onions, and hush puppies. I had fried chicken thighs and catfish combo. The skin was crispy and the meat tender and delicious. The iced tea was delicious- and I'm picky-served in a large Mason jar. Highly recrecommend!

Melissa M.

Yelp
We eat here almost every time we are in the area. Home cooked food. Hit and good. We had chicken and shrimp along with all the vittles they bring you. They did not disappoint, just as good as always. Our server was good and helpful. Definitely will be back.

Dave Z.

Yelp
Staff great atmosphere good If you're looking for looking for bland fryer foods this is the place . The food is so mediocre it is really not worth stooping

Lourdes M.

Yelp
This is the perfect place if you are craving for Southern food and hospitality. As suggested by Yelp, we ended up our Tennessee trip with a bountiful lunch here. It is highly recommended by Yelp app and after our dining experience, we highly recommended the place as well. As we walked in, we felt right away the vibes and the Southern charm. We felt more the Southern hospitality because of our wonderful wait staff . When we looked on their menu, the food choices brought a homey feeling. We came in during lunch time and in the menu with "package meal with all you can eat sides" is overwhelming. They serve large portion. For me , the service was good enough that we did not even try to ask for a second round of side's. The pricing is unbelievably reasonable. Service is impeccable. Learned new word: vittles . Food does not have this exceptional taste but give significant meaning to our dining experience.

Bec M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, large portions, home cooked food. Includes a gift shop. Service was above and beyond.

Mike M.

Yelp
We were looking for a nice local (non-chain) restaurant and found this fine restaurant. They have lots of parking and easy access to the building. We were greeted and seated. Our server, Crystal, was very friendly and took good care of us. I ordered the all-you-can-eat catfish and fried chicken. All meals come with AYCE "vittles" as they call them. Includes: hush puppies, cole slaw, soup beans, pickles and choice of potato. The sides came out quickly and tasted great. The fish and chicken were hot and delicious. My second helping of fish was a bit over-cooked and not as hot. The beans were fabulous. Drinks are served in quart mason jars. We were never offered refills on tea.

Wanda R.

Yelp
I love the hush puppies, beans and slaw they bring out. It will fill you up! The drinks are huge! The catfish was great. We ate there twice. The first time I want fried shrimp and the only had the popcorn shrimp. It was good but not what I wanted. Overall it's good food!

Chris M.

Yelp
Service was great and the folks working were super nice. Food was ehh. Catfish and grilled chicken were pretty not good. Catfish was mushy and had the dark strip still. Breading was not crispy. I doubt we would come back. Food 2 stars. Service 5

Bryce A.

Yelp
We went here hungry after a long drive and we were not disappointed. The food was cooked to perfection with a wide range of things to choose from. The waitress was extremely kind and chipper offering her opinions on the food and drinks. There was little wait for the food and the sweet tea was some of the best I've ever had. The scenery in the restaurant matched the food on the menu. The unique and original food and scenery makes hucks catfish a place everyone should visit.

Anthony O.

Yelp
This has to be some of the best catfish and chicken I've ever had. The service was great. The food came out fast. Also the fried green tomatoes were amazing. I would definitely go here again when I come back to pigeon forge.

Kylee B.

Yelp
Great service food came pretty quick they did forget my lemons. But otherwise we didn't even walk in for 5 minutes as soon as we walked in we were seated even with a party of 7!

Chel H.

Yelp
Business Is definitely booming with this place ! They had long wait times due to how big everyone parties was which I see why! The customer service was really good! The staff sung Happy Birthday to me as we ate dinner . Now let's get into the good part lol! The food (inserts faint ). We got the all you can eat fish and chicken that came with sides and a drink all for a decent price . If you're in the area stop here you won't regret it

Donna B.

Yelp
Vittles of white beans, hushpuppies, coleslaw, pickle & onion slices come with the meals . . Catfish is good but side selection is very limited . . Not busy on Sunday afternoon around 4pm . . $52 (W/O tip) for two to dine

Barb L.

Yelp
We had seen reviews on YouTube about this restaurant. It was certainly a cute place. However, food was just so-so. Nothing special .. just another local place with a similar menu and quality of food. We were not impressed.

Amie D.

Yelp
Everything is fantastic! We come every time we visit East Tennessee. I love the "bottles" especially the beans, slaw, and hush puppies. The fried pickles are better than any other restaurant's and the catfish tastes delicious without that strong catfish taste. Simply wonderful food! Julie was a great server this visit.

Shane J.

Yelp
Ok! So I am here in Knoxville and I asked for recommendations! Huck Finn's kept coming up...but let's call it (Yuck Finn's)! I was disappointed as well as the rest of my group! I ordered the fried catfish..others ordered grilled catfish and the chicken with gravy! We all felt the food was mediocre and bland! It required much seasoning to bring it back to life! The sides: Fries: old and cold Navy Beans: delicious Green Beans: good Cole Slaw: good The sides is what put it from 2 stars to 3 stars! Go with the sides I wouldn't recommend..but if you wanna give it a go....you have been warned!

Kristin C.

Yelp
I've ate here a few times in the past, but we decided to stop in again this trip. The parking lot was pretty full, but we were seated immediately. It was pretty busy inside but everything looked clean and had a good atmosphere. We looked over the menu and our server came by to say he would be with us in just a few minutes. We started looking the menu over and he came to bring our "vittles" and take our drink order. We both ordered pink lemonade. It was a nice change from soft drinks or tea. After he brought our drinks we were ready to order. I ordered the Mark Twain's combo, because I wanted both catfish & chicken. My brother ordered the chicken fried chicken. After he left to put in our order, I noticed we only had one plate and fork. Because of that, we didn't dig into most of the vittles immediately. I did eat a hushpuppy and my brother ate a pickle spear. We didn't see our server again for a while. I'm unsure of how long we waited on the food, but it seemed a little longer than it needed to be. Another worker brought our food. She happened to ask if we needed anything else and I informed her that we only had one plate and fork. She came back with another set. I then had to send her to get us tartar sauce. All the tables had a bottle except ours. She took one off one of the empty tables. The food was really good. I ate the chicken wing first. It was small, but the chicken was moist and had good seasoning. The catfish was excellent. I ordered mashed potatoes with milk gravy and it was tasty as well. My brother's chicken was very good as well. Overall, it was a good dinner. A few little hiccups on the serving side, but nothing major. Definitely would still return.

Bryan E.

Yelp
My family and I went here with high expectations because it had 4.5 out of 5 stars. My wife's catfish was cooked too long or something, but it was all crust and hardly no fish. I was really excited about the gator bites but they were real fishy tasting and rubbery. The frog legs were great! I got a kids meal to go to take to my mother-in-law it it had more fish that my wife's catfish dinner. The service was nice and as well as the atmosphere. But the food was a little lacking for us.

Steve L.

Yelp
Great and amble food, have driven by it for years, a must do on every visit. Seedy service.

Jon H.

Yelp
Back again, and the catfish fillets were maybe the best we've ever had at Huck Finn's, and that's saying something! Everything, including the service, was outstanding. Don't forget to get a catfish window sticker on your way out the door!

Oldskul74

Yelp
Food was pretty good and the server Mo was top shelf. Always love to come by this place when we visit the pigeon forge area. Only complaint would be the parking which can be harrowing sometimes. But this place is worth it.

Faith E.

Yelp
This place was hopping when we arrived! There was a bit of a wait, but that was expected. It was about 20 minutes. Not a big deal. This place is huge so when it's busy, it's packed full of people. Some areas were shoulder to shoulder. And with lots of people, there's lots of noise. Again, it's expected, I think, in this kind of setting, but it's a bit difficult to hear the people sitting right next to you. The food was all really very good! I've never been to a restaurant with "vittles" before so I was surprised that they came complimentary with our meals. Vittles are hush puppies, beans, cole slaw, and pickles (maybe one other thing I'm forgetting) all for the table to share. Service was pretty fast and really friendly. It's a little expensive, but again... it's expected; It's in a touristy location. I'm glad to have tried it!

InThe D.

Yelp
Really wanted to Five Star this place, but it's more three-ish, so going with four. Inside is pretty basic with a picnic-ish feel. Had catfish filets; they also had fried chicken and whole catfish. Filets were of good size, but they tasted plain. Not bad, just plain. Hush puppies were really good. Waitress was awesome!

Eric P.

Yelp
Delicious food and atmosphere. Our waiter was not on top of refilling our drinks and one of the orders came out incorrectly so that was disappointing. Other than that portions were plenty and delicious.

Robert F.

Yelp
More food vs better quality. If your idea of a great meal is endless catfish, this is certainly a stop that must be on your list. I prefer more thought and consideration because I'm just not gonna smash 16 catfish filets...... However if you leave Heck Finn's hungry, that's a you problem!

Melinda H.

Yelp
Food was not that good. The catfish tasted old (cooked a long time ago) and side items had no taste.

Darleen G.

Yelp
The food is delicious. Great service. The employees are friendly and ready to serve you. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Scot L.

Yelp
Very disappointed in Huck Finns. They will not accept carry out orders over the phone OR allow online orders so I had to go in, order carryout and wait for my food. Got Home and they completely missed one out of 3 dinners I ordered and no gravy for the mashed potatoes. Fried chicken was OK but catfish nothing special at all. Clam strips VERY small and a skimpy portion. OK place, nice people but they need to straighten a few things out.

Clayton K.

Yelp
Food was not good tonight, disappointed, service was great but not the food, ate there in the past and was great but fish nor fish were good tonight

Lee A.

Yelp
We had lunch here today and it was delicious! I ordered catfish fillets and chicken with mashed potatoes. They bring out all you want bottles, which is pinto beans, onion, pickles, slaw, and Hushpuppies! It was all great! Food was hot and fresh! Order was out to us in 5 minutes! Drinks were in a quart mason jar! And they have outdoor seating so our Yorkies are able to be there too!

Mandy G.

Yelp
Excellent food! Service was great! Great atmosphere! Great price and plenty to eat! Small gift shop.

Rachel S.

Yelp
This restaurant is a must for me and my family when we visit the area. It's a charming place full of mountain fishing decorations. There is a nice sized gift shop in the front you must wade through in order to place your name on the list so be sure to do that first, as there is often a wait. You can find all sorts of souvenirs and home items in the shop so be sure to take time to look before you leave. They have a few large dining areas with room between tables. There are often roaming musicians playing guitar or banjo to enjoy. Each table is set with your own roll of paper towels and will be served "vittles" to go with your meal. These include white beans with turkey "ham", slaw, pickles, onions, and hush puppies and a choice of green beans, mashed potatoes, or fries. These are delicious. I could almost fill up on these alone. Huck Finn's is best known for their catfish and fried chicken. Both are so delicious that I can never just choose one. They have a good variety on their menu of fried and grilled items. Other items are popcorn shrimp, clam strips, chicken fingers, boom boom chicken fingers or shrimp, trout, salmon, chicken livers, gator tail, country fried steak, chopped steak, frog legs, fried pickles, corn nuggets, cheese sticks, fried green tomatoes, and more. If grilled is your thing they have a nice assortment of seasonings that include Lemon Pepper, Garlic, Tennessee Grillin', Garden Herbs, BBQ, Cajun, Boom Boom Sauce, and Hot & Spicy. Love heat? They have Nashville Hot fried catfish and chicken. There's a kid's menu with corn dogs, grilled cheese, hamburgers, and cheeseburgers in addition to chicken fingers, fried chicken, shrimp, and catfish. Their desserts are banana pudding, delicious home made cobblers, ice cream, and sweet potato patties. The staff here is always sweet and very friendly. They make you feel like family. I highly recommend them.

Beccy K.

Yelp
We visited Huck Finn's Catfish after receiving a recommendation from our car dealer. :) We easily found it located in Pigeon Forge on the main drag. The place is as quirky as the name, both inside and out. It is full of humorous memorabilia and items for purchase. Our wait for two wasn't long although we were initially informed it would be longer. Our server was pleasant and attentive. All tables start with vittles, which include beans, pickled onions, and biscuits. I also had catfish and my husband had a mixed plate with chicken. There are all you can eat options or by the piece. They were both on the blander side but good. The beans and mashed potatoes were delicious. Dessert options were available but we were too full to try them. It's definitely worth visiting when you're in the area!
