"Situated at the mouth of the Mary Walker Bayou and the West Pascagoula River, Hucks Cove is a winner, a family and pet-friendly spot with super views and down-home cuisine. From fried seafood to burgers and salads, there’s something for everyone here." - Beth D'Addono

This hidden gem was wonderful! The atmosphere is very eclectic & fun. Our waitress, Amanda, made us feel right at home. She was friendly & attentive. We shared a fried shrimp basket with homemade onion rings (Amanda’s recommendation) and it was amazing! The remoulade sauce was excellent and the beers were ice cold. We’re so happy to have stumbled upon this hideaway today. Oh, and a very Happy Birthday to Amanda!

LOVE THIS PLACE! So cool has a perfect laid-back vibe. The food looked amazing and tasted even better than it looked. Service was on point, friendly, and efficient. Bartenders was great. Wasn't sure what I wanted, so she created me the perfect cocktail. It is definitely a must-see. Right off of hwy 90 . It was a joyful find

Google
Fun atmosphere and pet friendly outdoor seating. We had the potato skins, cheese steak po boy, and hot dog, and everything was so good, fresh, and hot. They brought our little dog out a bowl of ice water.

Bryan Weigel

Google
Cute little bar! Great service by Marissa. Had the hamburger special which was good. Highly recommend a stop.

Google
What a great find on my travels. Thanks guys for all your great advice on buying in the neighborhood. I am moving soon and will be a regular.

Google
I immediately loved the outdoor area as soon as we walked around to be seated. I had fried oyster basket, hubs had burger. The food was great, good portions, flavorful. The view was very nice. My favorite oart

Google
Great atmosphere, must be fun during nice weather. Burger was just OK. With larger patty size and fresh beef, I think they'd sell a ton. Fries were good, but again, smaller portion.

We came on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm. Wasn’t super busy but service was really bad. Took over 45 minutes for our server to come to the table then over an hour to get just drinks. Took 2 hours to get food. People were getting up leaving cause service was taking so long. The server said they were shorthanded and people had quit during the well. They were out of items but we weren’t told till after we had already ordered. The food was decent. Hands down worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant probably ever. Server was really nice and tried. She kept apologizing.

Yelp
Great little hidden gem along the West River in Pascagoula. Very relaxed atmosphere with a fun and eclectic beach-shack atmosphere. They have covered seating outside with outdoor fans that's also dog friendly. We had the nicest friendly waitress also. Just a very fun atmosphere that's nice and soothing with the water passing along. It's on a dock so you can slip your boat up and have a beer and a bite. Will be back!!

Mary Beth C.

Yelp
We always like to find a great hamburger place as we travel and this is our place, here. We started with 2 rum drinks...one was sweet, the other was more impactful! The Huckburger was juicy and delicious. We also had a grouper basket with salad and Cajun fresh French fries. Our server was very helpful, informative, friendly! All the things we needed!

Natalie H.

Yelp
Food was really very good. Walking in we thought what are we getting ourselves into then through the doors we were pleasantly surprised. So quaint and perfect for a little river side restaurant. Would go back again for sure.

Jeff N.

Yelp
This was a great find. We loved the atmosphere and the food was good too. I hope our next visit we can stay a bit longer

MattAmbre C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and WONDERFUL service! They are pet friendly and cook to order!! The food is flavorful

Grace P.

Yelp
It's a nice place to sit on the dock. The fried alligator was so good! The alligator recipe is also delicious, and the prices are reasonable.

Barry P.

Yelp
It ain't what it used to be. Wasn't good at all. Steer clear. Food was bland, menu isn't what it used to be.

Brad S.

Yelp
On 2 separate occasions I gave tried to eat here. Both times, it was during posted working hours. This is according to on-line and at the restaurant. One time, the outside neon sign was lit as open. Both times, the restaurant was closed. Not sure it's worth the time to try and attempt it again.

Glenn W.

Yelp
The menu is quite limited, and the server acted like she was annoyed that we were there. And then the oysters gave me a stomach ache. A very pleasant setting but it's time for new management.

Kyle M.

Yelp
Was looking for a good local place while on my travels and decided to stop here. Unfortunately we should have kept looking. Really wanted to like this place. Their fried fish absolutely lacked any type of seasoning or flavor. Their hamburger was over cooked and also lacked seasoning.

Amy P.

Yelp
After researching southern Mississippi restaurants, this one stood out! I enjoyed sitting on the deck just watching the water! DeAnna was my waitress and she is the definition of southern hospitality. I had the fried grouper and fries. Yum.

James H.

Yelp
This place is truly a disappointment, because it could be so much more. Our first visit was nothing special, drinks outside. Prices were reasonable and we decided we would return. On our second trip we were completely ignored by the wait staff. 15 minutes at a table, after seating ourselves, and all they did was walk by us numerous times without offering anything: menu, water, clean table. Nothing! Last time we go to Huck's Cove Marina Bar and Grill. Adios!!!

Andrew J.

Yelp
We ate here because they were 'pet friendly' and we had a dog with us. They have a huge back deck with lots of outside seating, but we were told the only place pets were allowed was under the cabana which only had 3 tables and was off the dock. Another person brought a dog in unleashed which ram over and started a fight with our leashes dog. I waited for them to be seated in the dog section with us but they never were. They were also not asked to put their dog on a leash despite the signs indicating that animals must be leashed. The food was average at best. We got there at noon and didn't get our check until shortly after 2. The server was terrible and apologized every time she came to our table. They have no decent management at this place. Avoid! It's not worth your time.

Lorie B.

Yelp
I have tried hard to like this place because it has such a fun and unique atmosphere and location. Unfortunately it is lacking everywhere else. The service is always poor, even though every time I've been ,my group has always been the only table. The food is just ok and for what you're getting, extremely overpriced. Not sure if it's a management issue or what but I really wish someone could turn this place around .

Anthony M.

Yelp
The worst experience!! We are the only table here, waited over 2 hours!! All of our orders were wrong and checks as well! We use to love this place but we will never return! We don't mind paying the price of food but for over a two hour wait on a Sunday evening being the only table here and all of our orders except one was wrong is ridiculous. Even took us 20 minutes to get water with us being the only table.

Honey H.

Yelp
If you want a burger and beer and to look over the water. This is the place. Also can arrive by boat. Nothing fancy but solid.

Misty D.

Yelp
I like that this place is on the water and has a deck that you can sit on. Looks like boats are able to pull up as well. Seems like it would be a fun place in the evening as well. They have specials during the week on Margaritas and tacos. Fun place to visit.

Brian T.

Yelp
I feel bad the waitress had to deal with me, but the food was great, service was great, and patience with the twins was great. Loved sitting next to the water and eating.

James W.

Yelp
Quaint sething right on the water and, if you have a boat (I don't ), you could dock it in their cove. I wish I had my camera with me but I didn't, so no pictures this time. But I am certain I will be back! Try to go when the whether is nice (it rains 100:days out of the year in MS) so that you can sit outside. The food was tasty, service was polite and quick. Great place to rest and get your mellow on!

Chuck M.

Yelp
The place has a unique vibe But the prices don't match it. It's ran down, the restrooms are disgusting. The AC inside is set to like 80... and again... super overpriced. They need to take some of the profits and fix the place up. Or drip the prices to match the establishment.

Christy M.

Yelp
This place is extremely expensive for a place that has the restrooms across the parking lot with a ladies room that door won't close and there no heat! We had the chili cheese fries for a starter and they were good. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it was pretty bland and dry. Our ticket was $50 for 2 sandwiches with fries, 1 starter, 1 tea & 1 water!!

Taylor H.

Yelp
My fiancé and I have been eating here for the past 2 years and love everything we've ever ordered! The mixed drinks are great as well! Our little hangout spot.

Keana B.

Yelp
My party and I were craving seafood and agreed to try this place out. The setting is cool as it is hidden and the place is decorated nicely. The entrance was down some steps and through a door to a bar. There was no host to welcome and seat us. Finally some waitress told us we could seat ourselves wherever we please. The waiter came and offered us menus and took our appetizer and drink orders. We ordered the fried mushrooms which were 5/5, hot and fresh from the fryer. After coming back with the drinks she took our entree orders. After waiting a couple of minutes (15-20) our food arrived. Every time the waiter would finish serving us she would leave immediately and tell us to "holler if ya need me". She seemed unprofessional from the start. I ordered the fried grouper which was supposed to come with cajun fries I believe? From the outside, it looked pleasing to eat. After taking a bite, the fish was dry with no flavor and didn't sit well in my stomach later on. The drinks tasted like they were out of syrup and when we complained to the waitress, she laughed as if she already knew something was wrong with the drinks. She offered us new ones yet they still tasted watery. The burgers tasted like they were frozen. Don't bother to order the shrimp basket as they use frozen baby shrimp. Disappointed and dissatisfied with my order I talked to the waitress. She was unprofessionally apologizing and saying "is there anything i could do? get something? what do you want?". I was tempted to ask her to take it off the bill! The prices are way too high for such poor quality food. Did I mention the waitresses were on the side laughing and conversing together as if they were at a party? Definitely don't recommend anyone to waste their money on this place. It would have great potential if the prices were lowered and the management was fixed. What they need is better quality ingredients, better cooks, trained professional staff, overall better customer service.

Michael R.

Yelp
If a long wait for crappy overpriced food is your thing then this is your place. Our shrimp had obviously gone bad as you could smell it even after it was cooked and drowned in seasoning. Our crab claw basket was so over cooked there was no meat on them left to eat. If I could put no stars I would.

Jeanne V.

Yelp
We had a good experience tonight despite the fact that they were out of crab claws, we received gumbo with no rice because they were out, and I received a shrimp basket when I ordered a shrimp poboy. What we got was very good so we didn't complain. Our server was personable and the atmosphere of sitting outside on the water cannot be beat.

Alyssa W.

Yelp
Legend has it, we're still here waiting to order our food to this day....... unless you love terrible service, you might want to try somewhere else. 45 minutes and still don't have all our drinks. There is 4 of us all together.

Lynette D.

Yelp
Great little hide away with 100% fried food, drink milk before you go and drink while you are there , Fab little hide away with great ambiance however if you take a young child bring a life vest because it's on the water and easy to fall in. You have to realize what you are going to get when you drive up and see outdoor toilets , then get the wine served to you in a plastic cup , and the table is like a lazy Susan it moved so much , no one cares enough to "fix r up" so it depends on what you're expectations are for you to appreciate the place.

Don G.

Yelp
Honestly the worst service I've ever received. Don't like my servers begging for tips. Especially if they tell me how they have been stiffed by a 4 top and expect me to make up the difference. When the kitchen messed up and didn't include the coleslaw on the pulled pork sandwich and the BADA Bing doesn't have any visible jalapeno. The worst experience I've had at a local restaurant in awhile.

Robert E.

Yelp
My favorite neighborhood bar. If you don't have a good experience dining here it's either that you set your expectations too high or you lack the ability to relax and enjoy yourself. Don't stop if you don't have time. The food is good, the drinks are good and the servers are friendly and attentive. Once and awhile your order gets messed up but it gets fixed. That happens at high-end joints too.

Larry B.

Yelp
Despite mixed reviews, it seemed worth a shot. Quaint and attractive decor, right on the cove. Sat outside because inside was WAY too hot. But had to wait outside 20 minutes for someone to take order, even after asking twice for someone. Saw two or three other tables leave and two others have their order taken though they sat down after us. Two other tables said they are always slow but today was worse than usual. One guy said he had to go get his food himself. After they took order, they returned to say they had no cole slaw. Took 24 minutes for food to arrive. No condiments. Asked for some but she never brought them. Nobody checked on us until we were waiting for a check. On the positive side, food was good. But not worth the hassle. Too bad such a good spot is being trashed by poor service and supervision. I'd fire their manager if I owned the place.

Pamela S.

Yelp
Great food and environment but really on the expensive side if you have a big family. Also One time we went The waitress told me they had to close the kitchen early due to lack of employees. Our boat broke down and we were stuck there for an hour and I noticed they were still Sitting and serving the new customers that arrive. So needless to say I felt a certain kind of bitterness And injustice. I have not been since that incident but I'm not saying I won't still dine at this establishment. I just hope we don't get the same employees the next time we go.

Nancy Lou C.

Yelp
Great place! We had a late lunch with friends while cruising the coast. Kind of a hole in the wall but neat little place with good food. We will be back!!

Shauna T.

Yelp
This was a very interesting restaurant... I won't visit again, but the server was a nice young lady. This place felt a little dirty, I was uncomfortable, and the food was just ok.

Nick G.

Yelp
Very slow, wrong orders, and our food was brought out at separate times. Food was not that great.

Melissa C.

Yelp
Don't do it!! Bad food, service and beverages. Save the hassle and go to Ocean Springs or if you don't feel like the hike see Brady's in Pascagoula, MS.

Melissa S.

Yelp
Cute dive of a location. Very cute. Outdoor potty situation but it was clean. We ordered fried green tomato's plus fried alligator. The alligator was really good. Tomato was good too just a lot of breading. The location has great water views too.

Katrina N.

Yelp
Right after I checked in we discovered that we would not be able to stay. This place IS NOT wheelchair accessible. They are steps everywhere to get into the place. When I tried to find someone to see if there was a wheelchair friendly entrance I couldn't find a single person to ask. There was no hostess and no server in sight. Also the restrooms to the place are outside in a building with a very small ramp to use.

Haley R.

Yelp
Food was good service was very friendly and our waitress recommended a drink called mermaid water and it was amazing!

Gerald G.

Yelp
Huck's Cove has one of the best hamburgers on the coast line in Gautier. The environment is very good also very interesting and laid-back. And you can sit on the back deck and view the water which is fun also.

Bob P.

Yelp
Great place to eat for locals that really like fish. I try and keep it secret so it doesn't get too crowded. Just

Penny D.

Yelp
Quaint little restaurant right on the water. Boats can pull up, tie off & dock to grab a bite to eat or a beer. Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is ok, not bad. I had the oyster po-boy and it was definitely enough to feed two people! My kids all had the kids hamburgers and they all liked them and finished them off! My husband had the Bada Bing Burger and like it well enough to eat it all.

Dwayne S.

Yelp
Hucks Cove has the potential to be a good place if the right management ever gets ahold of it. A wonderful little restaurant on the water with terrible service and cold food. I write this review after giving them several attempts to make their business better but they don't.

Staci V.

Yelp
Cool little place off hwy 90. It sits right off the water. Not a huge menu selection. Nice waitresses.

Lori G.

Yelp
Great place for beach atmosphere and tasty badging burger. Our waitress was fantastic.

Rebecca I.

Yelp
A fun beach bar on the bayou. Great outdoor seating and a solid reggae playlist make this a great place to hang out over beers and burgers. The beer is all bottled, but they have a good selection. Creative burger toppings. Cheap prices. Friendly staff. Stop by and forget that you're in Pascagoula.

Stephen C.

Yelp
The food was so-so. Ordered grilled grouper poboy and Cajun fries. This place definitely wins in the atmosphere division. I was in for lunch while traveling, but I bet it is an awesome place for drinks.

Becky H.

Yelp
Love love love Huck's@!!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I was here on a Saturday at the beginning of summer, a lady asked if I really liked this place. My answer was......of course. She was from LA, with friends and having a terrible experience. I assured them to try it the next time, if it is bad again do not come back. I have been coming here for 8 years and love it.

Kay C.

Yelp
We went here for a late lunch. The atmosphere is fantastic with on the water seating and kitschy decor with a Florida Keys feel. The fried mushrooms were great. We both had poboys which were generously stuffed. I took off one star because the seasoned fries were very bland. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Would definitely go again!

Nate L.

Yelp
Not to torture a cliche but I'm giving Huck's one star because I can't leave them zero. This place should not be in business. They have zero respect for their customers, and more importantly, they have zero respect for their employees. When they warn you on the menu that "they're not a fast good restaurant" that is an understatement. Frankly, fast food is a more enjoyable experience. Huck's takes 2+ hours to make a hamburger and apparently expects you to sit quietly and feed the gnats without so much as a hint of frustration. We arrived at 6:30 with kids, and were told it would take 45 minutes to get our food. After an hour passed and we hadn't even had our order of chips and salsa reach the table, our waitress (who looked barely 18) was kind enough to say it was comped (which we all protested, yet she insisted). After waiting another hour+ for food that never came, we gave up and left (because we had children with us). As we attempted to leave, we were threatened by the manager that the police would be called unless we paid for our appetizers and drinks. We explained that the waitress had said they were comped. We then witnessed the manger berate this young lady in front of everyone because "she ain't got that authority." He then made us pay $12 for a handful of kids lemonades and a few beers. They made it clear that they were going to take the money for the rest of the meal out of the waitress's paycheck. At this, I handed her all the cash in my pocket and told her to go work for a real restaurant that understands customer service and appreciates its employees. The way this place treats their customers (i.e., like dirt) is unacceptable. The way they treated our waitress was criminal. She was the only one that did her job the entire night. This place should be shut down. No one waste your time or money there, it's not appreciated. And to our sweet waitress, take my advice and find a better place to work. You deserve better.

T.A. H.

Yelp
I'm giving this place 2 stars for the ambiance alone. It's great sitting outside on the back deck by the water. That was the only good part. To start with, both waitresses there seemed completely hungover and ours was actually wearing workout leggings (the kind that has panels cut out of them!!), which would only be professional if we were at a gym. We started with fried pickles. We were able to eat about a third of them because the entire bottom of the basket was filled with grease/oil. Half of the pickles were wet with the grease/oil. I had the muffuletta burger (forgot the name of it). When I picked up the bun, to put it on top of the burger, half of it was soggy from grease/oil!!! I only ate a few bites because I did not want to be sick. My husband got the half shrimp half grouper special, blackened. I could see the oil from on the shrimp when they set the plate down. It's 5 hours later, and my husband feels gross and wants to puke, in hopes he'll feel better. Not going back.
