The service was OUTSTANDING. The hostess greeted us with a smile and went over the menu with us. The server was attentive and pleasant. The omelette was tasty, but the cheese wasn't melted well. I think it was because it was American although I'd requested cheddar. My companion had ribeye steak & eggs. There was Heinz 57 sauce available! The actual cut of the steak wasn't great, but this isn't a steakhouse so that's not a factor in my overall review. The sweet tea & peach tea were great. Grits were served salted with butter, which is great for me. Raisin toast is available and came buttered. The atmosphere is airy and bright. Huddle House is a welcome addition to South Stony Island Avenue!!

Great place to grab breakfast when you don't feel like cooking or to meet up with friends for a quick bite. There are more than breakfast items on the menu. Great service, friendly staff. Nice reward program so sign up.

I was excited for this establishment to open but hadn’t had the chance to stop by until this week. I was hesitant cause of the reviews but regardless I always want to see for myself. I was taken back and disappointed with my experience. I thought it would be bigger, there are 8 regular tables and 3 other tables/booths for larger parties. I also believe they have a separate room for private banquets/events. I did appreciate that every table is wiped down before any guest is seated. My order was simple, a waffle with pecans, scrambled eggs, and applewood smoked bacon. Waffle batter =tasteless and dry. Eggs = not your typical diner style fluffy. Bacon = not crisp enough, but that might be personal preference. $20 for my meal alone and it didn’t fill me. There were other menu items that seemed appealing but I am in no rush to go back.

If you're looking for a classic southern style Waffle House, this is the spot. They offer all-day breakfast as well as lunch and dinner options. I went for breakfast and was pleased. The food was good and the price was great. I ordered the strawberry waffle platter which comes with eggs and your choice of meat. Everything was delicious. Great service and great atmosphere. A bit small on the inside, but that wasn't a big issue. I would recommend this place.

Another great find on the southeast side of Chicago. Great food, service, and atmosphere. We first found one of these restaurants on a road trip, and we're pleased to see one here. Bring the family. Everything is delicious. All types of food are available.

My Husband and I visited this place for breakfast and we were not disappointed. Our favorite was the Blueberry Muffin Bites and the amazing southern biscuits. I only gave it a 4 because this was our first time and this is a new location. Also our waiter Khalifah was amazing, friendly and on target with service. We will def come back to try out lunch/dinner.

Our welcome was kind. Our server, Breuanna, was polite, punctual and professional. The interior of the restaurant is smaller than the outside of the building looks. The menu was large, some of the offers that we found online weren't on the menu in store. We've been seeing the signs advertising this restaurant for since before the pandemic. When we saw that they were finally open, we decided to check it out. The prices are a bit high but not bad. The service is good and the people are friendly. I ordered the smokehouse breakfast, three eggs and three meats. I requested my eggs over easy. When the meal arrived my eggs were over hard. The manager took the eggs back to the cook in a separate plate to have my over easy eggs made. When Breuanna brought back my eggs, there were only two on the plate. Because my hash browns and meat were getting cold I didn't ask for the third egg. I asked that the hash browns not be super crispy. What I got were hash browns that were crisp on the top but greasy and limp underneath. My husband's omelette was a fried egg with the ingredients on top of a piece of unmelted American cheese and then folded over. It more like an egg taco. The coffee was fresh and the biscuit was hot and delicious. Ite been almost a month and my husband and I decided to visit again. On this visit, I ordered the double cheeseburger. It has to be the second smallest double cheeseburger in the country behind white castle. My husband ordered the patty melt. The food preparation isn't consistent nor does the food come as advertised. The patty melt was supposed to have pickles and have mayonnaise, according to the menu but he received no pickles or mayonnaise. The fruit cup I ordered was mostly apples, one grape and a couple chunks of honeydew. I want to like this place because the service is great and the food is cooked well but it's difficult. It would be nice if the food was consistently prepared.

Service was decent. Stuffed hash brown was really good. Biscuit was tasty. Buffalo chicken and shrimp was fried too hard but still tasty. Had sauce on side for dipping instead. Tasted like just hot sauce.
