Google
Love Hudson Hall! It’s one of the best spots in Jersey City to catch a game—huge space, great energy, and the kind of place that’s perfect for a rainy afternoon of sports and beer. Their wing special during games is a major win—steep discounts on their smoked wings, which are seriously tasty. The rest of the food is solid too, and their beer selection is exactly what you’d want from a sports bar: varied, cold, and reliable. That said, service can be slow if you’re seated, and they really pack those benches in, so be ready to get cozy. Still, this place is a true JC staple, and one I always look forward to going back to.

Great staff in the smaller back bar, looked after our table in a big crowd watching the Knicks final game. Food was great and the beer options were strong. Only gripe was having to reserve tables at the main bar for a game when the website says the opposite.

Came to watch an NBA game on a Saturday night with friends and had a great time! Lots of beer options on tap and in cans/bottles and you can get pitchers of IPAs too! Their food was pretty good for bar food. We got the buffalo nuggets and loaded tater tots and both hit the spot. The atmosphere is cool, it feels like an indoor beer garden. They had a DJ playing all of kinds of fun mixes, but it was pretty loud. It was difficult to have a conversation with anyone not sitting directly next to or across from me, but I imagine it is probably a bit less loud during the daytime. Overall a good experience and I would stop by again!

Google
Jaquan hooked it up! Go check him out. Great spot. Consistent good food/service. Good spot to watch a fight. Best of all they serve my favorite local beer Philosorspper by Departed soles.

Google
Their food is better than just bar food! Had brunch on weekend, and everything was good. Would have been nice if they put more veggies and bigger fish for fish taco, but other than that, their fries are crispy and not too grease, and they also have some kids menu options.

Google
I am a visitor from Australia 🇦🇺 🪃 and we had a quick stop at Hudson Hall to quench our thirst. A very authentic spot. The beer was very tasty and cold - I chose on from New Jersey. The young lady that served us - very friendly and helpful - explaining the different beers on tap. Did not tick food - we did not eat. The renovations made it into a very interesting place - to get a feeli g from the past! Great 📷 material!

Google
I’ve only been here on game days (NFL). The atmosphere is always kinda electric; depends on who you support. They have week brunch till 4, you can order a lot great cocktails - I recommend the Irish coffee. It can get a bit rowdy, but that’s what sports is all about. I really love the exposed brick architecture and the selection of beers as well.

Google
Really love this place. Great spot to watch a game (it can get loud tho). Every time I have ordered food, it comes out lighting quick and is pretty good (think high-end bar food)! Bartenders are all friendly! My only gripe, and why I am rating 4 stars, is... ...that they are now charging $14 for a 12oz Maine Lunch beer. Just last fall they were charging $10. The liquor stores around the area are charging $8 for a 16oz bottle and they have not raised their prices (and buying in kegs would be cheaper than bottles). Blame tariffs or whatever all you want but this seems like a money grab. Again love the place but I won't be buying a $14 TWELVE ounce beer anywhere, even if it is my favorite type of beer. No complaints otherwise!

Yelp
From the servers to security, this place had the feeling of adult ambiance. Special shout out the bartender- the drinks were refreshing!

Yelp
I've been to Hudson Hall plenty of times before, but after another great experience recently, I figured it was finally time to show it some love. A group of us went during the NBA Finals on a Thursday night, and we were able to grab a table without much trouble. It was definitely busy, but thanks to their beer hall-style seating, it's never hard to find space, even with a crowd. The shared tables never feel too crammed and work well whether you're with a group or on a date. We went with their game day special, 20 wings for $25, and ended up getting two orders. Honestly, it's one of the better food deals around for watching sports with a group. The wings were solid, and we kept the drinks flowing all night. I had a few Moscow Mules that were really well made, and the beer selection never disappoints. Food-wise, Hudson Hall consistently delivers. I had the shrimp tacos this time, which were really good, and we also split some cheeseburger egg rolls that hit the spot. I've had the pierogies on past visits, and those are great too. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, it's all legit, especially for a sports bar. Service is always friendly and efficient, and splitting the bill is super easy, which is a big plus when you're out with friends. Whether you're looking to watch a game, hang with a group, or even go on a casual date, Hudson Hall is one of the best spots in Jersey City for good food, drinks, and vibes.

Yelp
Hudson hall is a cool sports bar. I like their ambiance it has a laid back atmosphere and vibe. Great spot to come after work and decompress and just enjoy a beer and some appetizers. They have a good selection of food. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a margarita, beer, and two tequila shots, and a pasta to share. I like their happy hour specials. The mozzarella sticks were nice and cheesy. The pasta was great as well. I would definitely recommend this sports bar and would like to come back to enjoy more of their menu. 10/10 rec

Yelp
The food was good, I really loved the fries. Service was ok. Not a fan of the seating arrangement.

Yelp
Came in to enjoy a couple of beers with my colleagues and to my surprise the place had a great atmosphere, and on top of that the food was amazing. Have to give additional props to the bartenders for always been on top of everything.

Yelp
I visited Jersey City for a work event. After arriving, I was looking for a place to grab dinner and stumbled upon Hudson Hall. The restaurant had large tables and a bar. Since I was solo for this visit, I opted for the bar. There were large TVs playing sports. My visit was during the MLB Wild Card round so I mostly watched the Tigers and Astros game. The bartender provided great service throughout my visit. I chose the Hudson Hall Lager, which was discounted for Happy Hour. The beer was chilled and refreshing, though the flavor was only okay. For my meal, I selected the Crispy Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich. The chicken and avocado tasted great, but the bread was difficult to chew. Overall it was a good visit. This is a great place to watch sports and enjoy a frosty beverage.
google avatar

Jose M.

Yelp
The Ambiance is perfect for watching your favorite sports team. Plenty of TVs throughout. The service was pretty good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. My only gripe is that I wished that our waitress told us about "no free refills" on drinks. Learned that the hard way. The food was pretty good. The BBQ Chicken Sliders had bones inside of them. The Hot Chicken Sandwich was ok.
google avatar

Vivek D.

Yelp
for a quick drink during happy hour, this place does the job. Plenty of space inside and the drink options are more than plenty. Prices are also solid. There are tons of screens to watch sports too. I arrived around 4pm on a weekday and obviously there were only a couple people here. I'm sure it fills up later in the evening and especially on the weekends where people are surely utilizing those long tables and such. Very communal environment of sorts. Bathrooms had an antique feel to them, but were fairly clean.

Yelp
I haven't been to this place in a long time. But the food here is tasty. Drinks are good. We ordered o an old fashion and a Mexican mule delicious. Exceptional service from bartender Ronaldo. He made food recommendations. The short ribs and pulled pork sandwich. Really tasty. This place was packed. College football games on monitors. Music was pumping. Nice vibe and a beautiful day to venture out. Parking is hard to find ‍ jersey city has a food festival today too. But definitely recommend

Yelp
Always buzzing. One of the nicer sports bar around the city. (I wish they played Indian sports like cricket as well). With major sporting events the lines go really far. Good collection of beers, slightly expensive American bar food. The service in general is quick too.
google avatar

Roger A.

Yelp
Stopped by here to kill sometime before heading to the restaurant for dinner. This place has a gigantic hall with TV's all over the wall and through the small hallway to the left you can go to a smaller bar seating area with a couple of TVs as well. This smaller area is accessible from the street too. We ordered a beer and a cocktail. The beer was on the expensive side, but I just assumed "NY"prices and the service was good. Definitely a good place to come watch sports and chat with friends

Yelp
Ordered takeout from here recently. They have a wide selection on their menu, and it spans from traditional bar food to lighter, healthier items. Our party had the nachos, chicken Caesar wrap, grain salad and fish tacos. Everyone loved what they got. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

Yelp
Holy cow! Food and drinks are delicious!!!!!! Service is fast with food and drinks. It's a chill vibe! I came here 2x this week! I love how they have screen projectors all over and play all types of sports! Food is fresh drinks are perfect not super strong! Overall AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Really like this place! FOOD: 4 stars Have only tried the wings and French fries. The buffalo wings were SUPER TASTY, highly suggest ordering the buffalo ones. Fries were ok. SERVICE: 5 stars I thought the service was great. Everyone was extremely nice, our waitress was very good at checking in on if we needed anything, and food came out in a very timely manner. VIBE: 5 stars Great vibe overall! We went to watch Euro cup and would go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent beer on tap, incredible gator tots, well-cooked burgers and not-great service. In general, I would go here again but you can't be in a hurry or hope that sitting at the bar means you'll be served quickly or asked if you want anything else. Despite this, I have to give 4 stars for the quality of the tater tots alone. Like seriously good!!!
google avatar

Cameron B.

Yelp
Came to Hudson Hall for the El Classico Soccer match. Really nice venue to watch sports and if I wasn't full I would get wings since they smell so good! $25 for 20 Wings (Game Day Deal for Major sporting events). Looking forward to going back for food/drinks for other games.

Yelp
There's a Biergarten and a separate bar area (though the Biergarten also has their own bar area) so we opted to sit in the bar area as it was more brightly lit. We ordered a couple of drinks, a beer and a cocktail. They're a bit pricey for what they are, but service is friendly and not overbearing.

Yelp
Ambiance is open room, lots of TV's picnic tables - typical beer hall vibes. We went on a Mon night around 6pm - not busy. We ordered the pierogies as an app, a pastrami sandwich and a burger as our mains. The pierogies came with the sandwich and burger ( order Med well) . Pierogies were soggy and very greasy. It did look like they attempted to get a sear on them but maybe they sat too long? The burger was burnt on 1 side - not just alittle charred - but burnt. My husband did flag down the waitress and she took it back and they remade it and they did cook it MW which was a surprise. Sometimes the kitchen rushes a re-order and then the patron is SOL. My pastrami sandwich was pretty good - not dried out, Sweet potato fries were pretty good. Overall, not bad but I am not sure I could recommend unless you really just want lots of variety of beer.

Yelp
Had a private party happy hour on a Friday night. Thank you sooooo much to the friendly bar tenders and security for keeping the vibes up! I have not had so much genuine fun in a long time. I appreciated the nearby bathroom, coat rack, and ample bar and seating space in the private event room. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a place to celebrate with a group! PS- the wings and French fries were a great combo
google avatar

Harold Q.

Yelp
Visited with a group of friends on a Saturday night. Made reservations online and we were seated right away. We ordered the 20 wings for 25 bucks and this worked out well for our group of four. We also ordered the crispy shrimp, buffalo flavored and chips and guacamole. Everything was great. There are multiple tv screens to watch all major sport networks. There were DJ's playing old hits. The only issue we ran into was that we were seated right under a heating vent and it became a bit uncomfortable. Overall, the venue worked out well for a night out with friends.
google avatar

Erica F.

Yelp
Always good vibes at this place. Spacious sports bar/ beer garden with some good bites and good drinks and a DJ playing new and old hits. The drinks are a bit pricy for my taste. I'm talking like NYC Rooftop Bar pricy. Yikes! Definitely a great place to catch a game though.

Yelp
Whether it's a night out or somewhere you go for some good food and drinks, Hudson Hall is a must go to in Jersey City. The last time I went I had lunch and a couple cocktails. Highly recommend the pierogis and chicken schnitzel sandwich!

Yelp
Hudson Hall is a great spot for big groups & celebrations. Their menu is diverse and has something for everyone!

Yelp
Worst nachos I've ever had. Horrible service. Just all around disappointing experience.
google avatar

Dominick F.

Yelp
Service is terrible and the management are jerks. Went with a friend. Food was ok. Service was spotty at best. Worst of all, when we closed out we ordered one last round, we hadn't even gotten halfway through our beers and bouncers were telling us to leave the table because it was reserved. Oddly, when we first arrived, they never told us there was a time limit or pending reservation for the table. Now that we closed, we literally had to argue with the manager to finish our beer at the table. Didn't work. They told us to get up from thr table or they would "remove us." The manager basically told me we had been there long enough and it's not his problem. Never retuning. There are other places with a better beer/drink selection, food and service in the area.
google avatar

Zehra R.

Yelp
We watched a game here and had a great time! Fun vibe and excellent service. The wings were a bit dry but flavor was good. Planning on going back to try the donuts!
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
This place was simply "elevated comfort." Meaning, it was a laid back atmosphere with everything you need to satisfy your thirst and cravings but they spent the time to ensure the offerings were top notch. At the end of a long day, a great place to unwind and get something to eat and drink that will make you go "mmmm."
google avatar

Sama C.

Yelp
This beer garden is geared towards a Czech menu with lots of flavors to offer! A decent sized hall with bench and table style seating it is a fun spot to chill. With a nice tasty menu you will not be disappointed with your choice. The drink selection is also flavorful. It has many TV's all around and its chill atmosphere can be good for a crowd of friends or for your sports goers. Coupled with friendly staff that are attentive and accommodating it adds to the experience. Get the pretzel! It comes out fresh to order and piping hot. You can't beat a hot fresh out of the oven pretzel with 2 dipping sauces.

Yelp
This review is based on one takeout order. I placed the order through Yelp at 7:00 a.m. Right before I entered work because I knew I would be hungry at 3:00 p.m. when I left work that day. I ordered the 3/4 lb order of pastrami. It was $20. Through Yelp, I chose the pickup time to be 3:00 p.m. At the end of my shift I walked to this place and the order was there waiting for me at 3:00 p.m. on the dot. The pastrami was delicious! Super tender and had a great peppery crust. They included pickled onions and pickles with mustard and barbecue sauce. I liked all the sides they gave but I like the barbecue sauce the best. I would definitely order from here again or return to have a beer inside.

Kay N.

Yelp
Just a terrible delivery experience. 1.5hrs after placing the order I called the restaurant to ask for a status update. Was told the delivery service never responded to their request, but they would get on it immediately. The restaurant eventually got my order delivered 2 hrs later, but sent the food that had been sitting on the counter for an hour and a half!! Soaking wet fried pickles (the condensation coated them in water), greasy, and wet egg batter. Just inedible. Bag of sweet potato fries also wet with water and greasy from condensation. It's like they had no pride in the food that was getting delivered. I'm giving 1 star because the doughnuts, even though they were stone cold, were tasty after scraping the cold glaze off the box and putting them in the oven. They should be embarrassed.
google avatar

M P.

Yelp
This was the worst food I've had to date in Jersey City. The protein dishes (chicken and fish) barely had any flavor. And the food was lukewarm and not hot. I don't know if there was a like a food quality issue or not but overall items were super bland. Not really enjoyable. Drinks were watered down too. I don't recommend coming here for a date like we did at all.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
We came in on a Tuesday for HH and it was pretty empty around 5pm. To start, we had some monthly cocktails, which are $9 off the HH menu. I believe it was a Penicillin for the month of January. BIL had their house lager, which he said was fine. We shared a large pretzel, which was piping hot and very good. Really hit the spot. I had a short rib sandwich with au jus. X had the schnitzel sandwich. I liked his sandwich better because it was nice and crispy and tasted super fresh. The short rib sandwich felt a bit heavier. The side salad my sandwich came with was delightful and I'm very glad I picked it because the entire meal is a very big portion. Service was very good and super efficient.
google avatar

Semina B.

Yelp
It's never easy accommodating a large group, but our server Ronald surely made it happen for all 14 of us. All of our orders came out correct, and he came around often to check on us. The place itself is ideal for large gatherings as they have long tables surrounded by big screen TVs. In terms of food, some of the meals were good, and some were just ok. When one of the workers found out we were celebrating a special occasion, we were given free doughnuts which I thought was very kind of them. Fluffy and warm that melted right in your mouth. I thought they were the highlight of the night. The music selection was old school hits which the group definitely enjoyed and sang along to. Overall, I would highly recommend for large groups!

Yelp
This place was close by so we decided to check it out. It always seemed to be busy so we figured it was good. Overall it was okay. The ambiance was nice and it would be fun if you wanted to drop by and watch a game with some friends. It's a very casual restaurant, with long bench seating being the primary seating option. The food wasn't amazing, my favorite was the tacos. Even then, not the best tacos I've tried. The spinach and artichoke dip wasn't bad, it was just too cheesy and lacked a lot of spices but I really liked the chips, they tasted fresh and had a good crunch. The pulled pork sliders were dry, I personally didn't like them but my partner thought they were okay. The potato skins weren't bad but they got cold and hard really fast so if you want them to try them I would suggest eating them first. I have to say I was very excited to try the donut, which I saw all over Instagram. And it was delicious. The donut itself had a unique flavour a bit lemony. It was served warm and paired with the cold ice cream, it was such a yummy combination. I'm terms of the service, the servers were very nice and were really quick to bring our food out in the beginning. But once it got busy we had to wait a LONG time for water refills and for the bill. I think I would come back here for more donuts or for a drink, not sure I would get any of the food again. It would be really fun to come with a group of friends.

Yelp
Food is on point. Service was accommodating. The ambiance is of a bar. Good for any size group. Great music, would definitely come back again

Yelp
I hate doing this. Local restaurants are important and I support their success. ============== Philly egg rolls: mostly cheese. Bad cheese. Chopped Wedge: pile of lettuce, chewy old bacon, and some weak blue cheese Smoked wings: rubbery This delivery: Maybe the wings are better in person
google avatar

S. T.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting food. We got the buffalo wrap which had no flavor, had bacon (no mention of it in the menu), chicken cheesetakes and wings. All dishes were horrible. I am surprised they are still on business. Will never be eating there again.and rescue.
google avatar

Rachael K.

Yelp
Friendly staff, delicious food and great drinks. Usually, breweries do not have good cocktails but I was genuinely surprised. Plenty of large tables if you need to accommodate a larger group.

Yelp
I was really excited to finally drop in and have some beers and bites here. It's a really cool beer hall that has projectors and TVs set up all over. We went nice and early to enjoy it without being too busy. From the moment we walked in staff was incredibly friendly and Courteous. We were seated and ordered drinks. I went with a pitcher of beer thinking it would be those dinky small pitchers but I was very much mistaken. It was the huge pitcher and pricing was really reasonable. We started with some philly egg roles and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was a bit different from other places but really tasty and cheesy. The philly egg rolls were also very good but maybe slightly too cheesy in my opinion. I'd def still order again and I'd probably try the pastrami ones next time. We then went with the chicken wrap which was light and really good as well. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious! We finished with the homemade fresh donuts. Holy cow these things are incredible and better than most donut shops. I highly recommend getting these to finish the meal. The service was top notch, our server constantly checked in on us and started convo. He was really friendly and gave us his recommendations when we asked. I'd gladly come back here anytime!!

Yelp
Like it a lot. Great drinks and the food was great also. I didn't get to look around much but it has a great vibe. I don't know if they are dog friendly but I'll see in better weather. The wings were awesome and the Ruben was delicious. I will b

Yelp
I was really disappointed in this place. Glad to see they had partitions in place so capacity was the same but we felt safe. Took about 10 minutes before the server came over and didn't seem interested in taking our order. The beers seem overpriced for the sizes we received. Food came out quickly and wasn't terrible. We got the Buffalo smoked wings and burger with cheddar and fries. The wings were good but could have used more sauce. The burger didn't have much flavor, good thing for the cheddar. A DJ set up as we were leaving playing club music which seemed out of place. He didn't have his mask pulled up. Someone on staff asked him to pull it up but he pulled it back down right after.

Jeff O.

Yelp
Good service nice decor. Food was good but a little different than expected. Reuben had smoked corned beef on it which was unexpected but still good
google avatar

Summya B.

Yelp
Great spot to grab drinks and apps. And the vibe was fun- if you're trying to turn up or just have some chill drinks. They had a really good watermelon beer (not overwhelmingly fruity like a cider) The layout is also really nice, it's completely open in the front so even if you're sitting inside it still has an outdoorsy/patio feel
google avatar

Maulik M.

Yelp
A nice place to hangout and a have a quick bite with friends in Jersey City. This is located on Marin Blvd between Grove Street and Newport path stations. Very beer-garden like vibe. Long tables, huge open doors (for outdoor seating during summer time) and the wait staff are super friendly. High vaulted ceilings, Tv's for those who want to watch the games, wide selections for craft beers and cocktails. We started with the fries which were nice and crispy and the spread was good. Less vegetarian choices as such but I definitely recommend the spinach artichoke dip and the doughnuts! We also got pierogis, the big pretzel and bao chicka bao wow. All were great but the pierogis were especially amazing, with caramelized onions and cheese inside. They have outdoor seating as well which is a nice in good weather. Staff is super cheerful. Great music selection. A good place to chill and have a drink or two in Jersey City. Overall, a great experience!

Yelp
I live so close to Hudson Hall that I normally only ever dine-in. Hudson Hall has the best ambiance and there's nothing better than posting up at the bar and enjoying a beer while the Yankees play on the projector. But alas, in the era of Covid I can now enjoy Hudson Hall eats in my own home. Delivery was so fast and at my door in ten minutes. Hudson Hall's pastrami might just be one of my favorite things to eat in JC. It is smoked in-house and the meat is juicy and tender perfection. Whenever I have family over for a gathering I always put in a catering order for an entire tray, and it's always the star of the show. I'm happy to report that it's still just as good delivered. A platter is large and I even had some leftover for lunch the next day. It also comes with tangy bbq sauce, pickles and pickled onion. My husband always orders the wings and loves them. They aren't like a traditional buffalo wing and instead are more smoky. A side of brussels is also a must and I love how they are super crispy and topped with parm. And, the icing on the cake is that every delivery order comes with a box of free donuts. So amazing. I'll be dreaming of the day when I can kick back a few beers at Hudson Hall. But, am feeling super lucky that I can still enjoy my favorite pastrami whenever a craving hits.

Yelp
Came into Hudson Hall after a work event nearby. Was instantly amazed at the space and the many options of drinks/food. Q the bartender is an ALL-STAR!!!! Made drinks perfectly and a new believer in smoked whiskey drinks! Cannot wait to return and enjoy the amazing experience.

Yelp
This place is litty committee! I love the vibes, the people, the huge screens and the mezcal palomas. Highly recommend for friends, coworkers or to watch games. I went for a work event and did not take any pics but its a huge open layout. More pics to come ;)

Yelp
Service was exceptional. Food was good but not worth the price. Over $100 for 2 people. 2 small lagers and 2 ciders ( During happy hour) pastrami sliders appy. 1/2 ribs no sides, pastrami cheese sandwich (came with fries) side of Cole slaw and sugar donuts for dessert. Food was very tasty but repeated on me all night. VERY SMOKED. Would definitely recommend for drinks and an appetizer to share. Large communal picnic tables. Fun place, just not for dinner.

Yelp
Son took me here for my birthday. Friday night around 7:30 pm and the place was packed! No live music yet but it was stil somewhat loud. Young folks, old folks, families, all kinds of customers. Prompt, friendly service from the host finding us a seat to the waiters and cleaners. I got the bratwurst. The links done just right with a couple sauces. Fries were extra but they fed the whole table. Others got the short rib sandwich, which they said was good too. Overall a busy, unique and fun place to go. I had a great time.
