We were looking for a restaurant to celebrate my birthday, found Hudson Malone & decided this would be our destination. What a great atmosphere, transporting us to a whimsical yet wonderful restaurant. Everything about this establishment made the occasion special from the decor to the well trained staff. I noticed the servers would help on other tables just because they noticed needs. Food was well prepared & delicious! We made sure to leave room for dessert as well!

Jesus was the best waiter, and we had the absolute best experience!! It was my Mother's and I first time visiting this restaurant and our wonderful waiter Jesus C. recommended the 'ridiculous jumbo prawn' and the special tomahawk steak. We were treated with the BEST service and hospitality in all of Fairfield County CT. Highly recommend this restaurant for the most exclusive and personalized experience. Amazing food, wine and spirits. 10/10!! Cannot wait to come back!

Aside from the great menu, service and atmosphere, we enjoyed excellent drinks and desert! Great touch caramelizing the creme brûlée sugar while serving it.

My boyfriend and I went to Hudson Malone for dinner and it was wonderful. Inside is incredibly cozy, cute and picturesque. The cocktails are amazing & so the service. Shout out to our wonderful waitress Lisa, she made our experience at HM so amazing. She was funny, caring & knowledgeable about the menu & gave great suggestions. Would definitely come back because of the cocktails & service!

Angelica and the whole staff the night that we ate dinner there were top-notch! The food and the atmosphere were also outstanding. If I had the option to give it 10 stars, I would!

We had a wonderful experience during our visit. The food was great but what truly made the night special was our server Lisa. She was very attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Every recommendation was spot on and she made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout our meal. Fantastic service from start to finish. We will definitely be back!

Great hometown feel in the bar/restaurant. The two times we’ve been the hosts were exceptional, especially the young man we met on our first visit. We had the same waitress both times, she seemed a little overwhelmed and forgot our drinks on our 2nd trip but was very nice and pretty attentive. Food was fresh, tasty, and reasonable quick to come out of the kitchen on busy nights.

The hostess greeted us warmly and sat us in Lisa’s section. Lisa was informative and a pleasant and quickly delivered our drinks. She didn’t rush us, but her support team kept the food coming and refilled our water. Super pleasant.

This is the best restaurant in Westport! Doug Quinn is a first class restaurateur who knows how to make a place amazing from the great food, warm atmosphere and the best staff! It is better than 5 stars! Consistency and great service is this joint's motto!!

This is my second dining experience at Hudson Malone and they know how to do it right. From the greeting at the door to our wait staff, we felt welcome and appreciated. The restaurant is beautifully done. It's warm and thoughtful and if you can get a seat by the fire, it makes for the perfect winter dining experience. Jesus, our server was great! He was engaging and professional with a great sense of humor. We had the "T bone steak" for two with the cream of spinach. it reminded me of a New York dinner but exceeded the famous steakhouse I use to find exceptional. Great night out at Hudson Malone. I'm looking forward to being a regular and creating many more memories there. I highly recommend it and hope that you will too! Michelle Cortizo

This is a wonderful spot, highly recommend. It is our second time here and we will be back. Food and service both consistently outstanding and the ambiance is just perfect. Have been here for brunch and dinner, tried seafood and steak as well as most of the kids menu. Yet to find something that was less than exceptional. Jesus was our server both times and he is a real delight. Can't wait to be back and sample more of the menu.

I stopped in at this restaurant for dinner. When I arrived I parked in the lot across the street. I walked in and was greeted by the great hostess Bea! The place is dimly lit and Geanina was my server and she was great! I ordered: Vodka martini Pesto Arancini di Palermo (rice balls with cheese and veggies) duck ragu Seafood lollipop Creme Brulee The food was really good and my favorite was the duck ragu dish! All in all I had a great experience!

I've been to previous restaurants in this space and I'll give the current owner's credit. They've created an inviting and unique communal experience. I dined on a Saturday night and the place was packed and honestly too loud. The acoustics suck. We had a reservation for 4 around 7 PM. We were seated outside the main dining area through a closed door in what almost seemed like a small addition like a sunroom one might have in your house. Not much atmosphere there. I had the Caesar salad, which was subpar. Yellow romaine lettuce, sprinkled low quality, Parmesan and brown anchovies which had seen better days. I had their signature burger, which was just OK and not seasoned particularly well. The fries were subpar. On a more positive note, their spirits selection is outstanding. I ordered a single malt which i've been meaning to try, but haven't seen in any restaurants. We had sparkling water and I asked for a small glass of tapwater along with my scotch. The water never came with the scotch and when the waiter returned 10 minutes later, I asked politely one more time. It's still never came. Not the end of the world, but still annoying. I finished the meal off with a crème brûlée and coffee which were both good. This place seems like it has great potential, but my experience was disappointing overall.

We clearly went on a busy night. We typically like to order apps and then order our dinner but they told us we had to order everything at once. Strip steak was good with a nice little mushroom sauce in the side that was very good. Drinks were good too, we had wine, Old Fashion and some Manhattans. Overall a great experience and the decor was very nice too. Felt warm and cozy.

Had a group of 20 or do from the golf club. Had a private room with a prefix family style deal. Awesome as usual. Pork chop is killer. Service amazing, latkes... Onion rings .. great chopped salad. Everyone loved it! Thanks - nick d

Stopped here on a long drive, and what a sweet place! Really fantastic service, they were even sweet after my kid pulled the bathroom alarm! We had a great steak, nice ceviche. There were tons of specials, great soup, awesome drinks. Beautiful lodge-vibe space, quiet, cozy. We'll be back!

I hesitated to write a review but feel I should because this meal we had was so over priced and the food was extremely disappointing. The Caesar salad was probably the worst I've ever had. The romaine was not fresh and the dressing was awful. We ordered off the special board and a ribeye for $65 was so fatty and not seasoned at all. The branzino on the special board was listed as slow roasted and was told by the server it's delicious. It came on a cracked wooden board. It looked so unappetizing and it was. Not worth the $42. Nothing was good. Save your money.

250 for the porterhouse for 2 a little extreme. I like it in general. They do a nice job. But. Was a special that was a little much. Typical steakhouse is 125-150. Like gabriels down yhe street.

Great service. Great atmosphere. Boy I just wish food was aligned too. Everything over cooked. Had to send burger back. Been twice. Love the vibe. Can't wrap my head around why the food fails.

The menu on line price for steak for 2.was one price....when the check came it was 2 times the price....Really........ BAD EXPERIENCE....NEVER AGAIN!!!!!...dark and cold ..

Hudson Malone does everything right! Great food, fantastic drinks, lively atmosphere, and absolutely amazing service. We have been fortunate enough to have Jesus as our server the past few visits, and he makes each experience more memorable than the last. He's exceptionally good at his job and makes each table feel welcomed and extra special. Our last meal at the restaurant was to celebrate my husband's birthday and all of us had such a nice time. Thanks for going above and beyond to have exceptional customer service, Hudson Malone! It does not go unnoticed!!!

Food was delicious. Prolly some of the best food I've had in a while. The service was incredible. The staff was so nice and greeted us the second we walked in.

I came here for my uncle John/god father's birthday tonight. The service was attentive and helpful. They showed us the specials via black board as well as describing them to get a better idea. We started off with the clothes line bacon. They came over with a blowtorch and cooked the maple flavored bacon. It was thick cut and tender AMAAAAZING. My uncle is a bacon lover and it truly hit the spot for his birthday. For entrees we got duck ragu and a the filet. The filet was juicy and a perfect medium rare for me. The ragu had a bunch flavors somewhat masking the duck however it was just different but the whole plate for uncle was devoured so different but great! For dessert he got the soufflé which tasted super chocolaty with vanilla gelato. I got the west nice cheese cake which was very rich. They sang to my uncle happy birthday and gave a personalize birthday greeting card with his name hand written which was a great touch. The restaurant is cozy like up in a cabin but also gives that classic nyc vibe with all the old pop culture icons on the wall or art work from another area. The bathrooms also matched the main dinning areas vibes. The personalization and flavors can not be beat if we could give 10 stars we would.

So my wife who can't pull off a surprise, surprised me with my birthday dinner here with two other couples. We arrived and had reservations 2 months back, but they seemed confused about it. After a few quick minutes, they led us to a dark booth meant for 4 and asked us 6 to squeeze in. They said they had no other tables so we decided to deal with it and check the menu out. Well, we tried. Take the uggo's here because there is zero light. Funny not funny, they actually stock mini flash lights to hand out when they see the whole table take out their phones. The manager, i assume, saw or tripped over a foot and said we will move you, you can't sit here. We were told a table was on desert so we decided to grab some drinks. WARNING: When you are at the restaurant and the prices are not printed on the cocktails, BUCKLE UP!!!! Now the food to change the subject. We had the bacon on the line that is fired at the table and it was superb!!!! The Ahi Tuna was also very tasty. My wife got the Cioppino and loved it! My steak Au poivre was cooked to perfection and the sauce was amazing. Could have tossed in a veggie, even some spinach would have been nice. So unbeknownst to me, my friend snuck to the bathroom and went to his car to bring in a cake for me. Well, the bill came and no cake. So he got up to ask and the waitress seemed annoyed and having gotten us to sign off, mentioned to him the problem no longer was hers. After some back and forth, they got the cake but we took it to go. The new busboy on his first night did an amazing job. Tough to pour water over a cramped and dark table into a glass on night 1. But he did a great job! Would go back to try some more food but would be cautious with every step

3 stars only for our server, food was not good. Been coming here since they opened. Tonight we shared a bunch of small plates. Mussels (white sauce, our favorite), tuna tartare, calamari and meatballs. Nothing had flavor and the meatballs were freezing cold. Our waitress took them back and warmed them up but they still were not hot. Angelina (our waitress) was AMAZING however! We did not complain other than to have the meatballs microwaved - I work in a restaurant, I really don't care how you heat them, I just want them hot. All this to say, this place used to be a favorite of ours and it has really gone downhill. We will not be back.

We love this restaurant. The ambiance, food service, staff. All great. We dine there frequently and all of the waitstaff is great but tonight Jesus C. was particularly terrific.

Was here twice. The first time, the experience and food was exceptional. The second time, not so much. Service was spotty and food was just average. Given the price point, food should be exceptional each time. Had the pork chops.

Let me say this. 0 reason of not coming here on a regular but I will say the true basis of good bar. Good food. Good ownership. Good staff. Never had a bad meal here in years and the bartenders are amazing. Enrique, joe, Keith. Absolutely amazing. Come get a drink and base it on yourself!

Always gracious. Good food and drink. Relaxed, respectable. Fun & friendly. Above and beyond trying their best to get US Open tennis coverage on the bar TVs. Will return.

With a NY-steakhouse vibe, the service is always great, and the food fantastic. My wife and I shared the collosal shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and I had the NY Strip au Poivre, cooked a perfect medium, while she enjoyed the Chicken Milanese for our entrees. Looking forward to returning again soon!

Food was exceptional. We had the tuna salad and calamari. Tuna salad was cooked well, great salad dressing and the calamari were a good size with a tasty breading. The service was a bit lacking. But all of the staff seem to be involved and approachable.

Pub Food Central. Food is what you'd expect from a restaurant with a bar and tv with the game on. Burgers wings calamari and other fun food. When the mood or hankering for such fare strikes, Hudson Malone will satisfy.

Great ambiance! Super cozy. Great lighting. Food was fantastic - highly recommend the faroe salmon.

Hostess seemed irritated to be seeing people. Instead of a "hello"'it was "who are you?" The loud cacophony of this restaurant is beyond anything I've ever heard, in addition to music playing. Food did not come out together, bread never came - even though asked multiple times, food under (raw burger) or overcooked and would have drank more but never asked. Very disappointed.

We are big fans of Hudson Malone. There is always a warm greeting, the waiters are very professional and friendly ( especially Jesus) and the food is excellent. We particularly love the jumbo shrimp cocktail and grilled whole branzino. My husband loves the steak. It's the best gazpacho, but not always available. It is pricey, but worth it. A grown up restaurant that is not stuffy. We'll be back soon!

Was here last weekend and they truly exceeded our expectations!! We had 5 couples and 4 babies and we were seated in our own little private area that was beautiful. The drinks and food were excellent--everyone loved their meal which can be a challenge in a large group. The restaurant itself is so charming with a fireplace and rustic feel. The hostess was wonderful and very helpful when I was making the reservation. Highly recommend!

This place is solid. The food was very good. I had hanger steak with a wine glaze. Loved it. The service is a little slow and the spacing is tight. It's not a huge place but the ambiance in general is nice. Parking is tricky down there. The food, again, makes up for a lot of it.

Today my daughter and I went to Hudson Malone today for a nice late lunch. We had a lovely waitress whom we have had before. We ordered the soup special : New England Clam Chowder. It was very watery, and not flavorful. Then we ordered a cheeseburger ( $22) And the seafood fritter lollipops. The cheeseburger came with half cooked bacon, was cut in half, ( why?) and the bun was way too small & wimpy of the burger. Bottom line, it was sloppy, messy and not enjoyable at all. The seafood fritters were not great. Weird tasting and the dipping sauce was strange and oily. When I asked to speak to the manager after receiving the bill for $65 for an extremely sub par meal, I explained that that the food broke "Quinn's last rule on his list of rules which was placed on our table. The last rule is : MEDIOCRITY SUCKS! Danny the manager took $15 off the bill! LOL! We will never return, as it is my 3rd bad example at Hudson Malone!

We love Hudson Malone . Has a NYC restaurant/ bar vibe . If you are lucky and get a seat close to the fireplace that's always fun . The food is good , service is good , ambience is excellent. We've visited Hudson Malone many times over the years and it's a solid go to restaurant for us .

Brunch, dinner, drinks, or really any occasion, Hudson Malone is THE place to be! Food is always on point, atmosphere couldn't be better, and the bar well if you know you know... So what more can I say, just go, you won't be let down. Literally the only possible complaint I could make is the coffee, but really who's going there for that anyhow.

We have had good times and bad times at Hudson Malone. We. kept coming back after the good times but finally stopped going there after three bad meals. Enough! But we tried again recently after a long absence and we are back on the good times. Our waitress, Angelica, had a lot to do with that and the mussels were delicious. So all is well again. I recommend that you ask for Angelica if you go there.

The food and service were outstanding! The vibe of the place is great too. Really enjoyed it. I had the pork chop and my wife had the filet. She had the potato pancakes and I had sautéed spinach and French fries. All the food was fantastic!

Had a light lunch at Hudson Malone the other day and it was a nice experience. They have done a great job with indoor decor. Seating is stylish yet comfortable. Many outdoor areas to sit as well and the bar area is very cool! We opted for inside but most outdoor areas are covered too which is ideal. Staff was courteous, helpful, and efficient. They have an extensive and unique cocktail list and there were quite a few I would try. For the day, I decided to go with the Kennedy Cocktail with is a rum based martini. It was excellent, sweet (which I tend to like), balanced, and refreshing. I could have easily took down a few of them! Food was good- the calamari was the real stand out though and I would totally get that again. It was extremely fresh, nice large rings and lightly fried so you really got to taste the calamari. It came with red sauce and an aioli which I love when places do. We also had the wedge salad and potato latkes which were both good but not as great as the calamari. Overall, cute lunch and/or dinner spot slightly away from the hustle of the downtown area!

The tomato soup is amazing. The coffee is great. Certain dishes are good . The steak sandwich was also good. I asked for chicken and waffle with the sirracha sauce on the side. The chicken was very dry and over cooked and they did have sauce on the side, but they also drizzled it all over both the chicken and the waffle . It infiltrated everything with its strong taste. Thats why I say maybe. I would avoid this particular dish.

Had brunch for the first time here and it was amazing. The French toast was incredible and the omelet was so yummy Brunch was reasonable priced too!

Wanted to make a date night in Westport special so I asked my client who has excellent taste where he would recommend - his first response was Hudson Malone ... When we did our diligence and learned it was originally based in Manhattan we were sold. The atmosphere is casual but trendy and very old school NY nostalgia. The staff is well trained and the management is on top of things. The owner DougQuinn was not only on the floor but visited every table personally. The outdoor patio is covered. After Will our server bragged about their bar tender in Manhattan was ranked as one of the best in Manhattan - we put him to the test.... To help me decide on a wine Will brought out 3 bottles of wine to do a tasting and education at the table. Settled on "Cigar" wine which had a unique Smokey flavor - not overbearing. I've eaten at 5 star steakhouses all over the world so when HM took pride in their steaks it got our attention. For starters the spinach dip was incredible - unique blend of rich cheese and spinach. Wife's salad combo of prosciutto, mozzarella balls with balsamic vinaigrette was refreshing and light. The NY strip was served in strips from a hot sizzling pan and had a well balanced charred flavor and perfectly cooked middle for our liking. My wife doesn't normally like steak but we shared and she loved it. The asparagus was also perfectly seasoned and charred. The crème brûlée for dessert was served with a flame and was amazing. Great place for a business meeting, a date night, or just hanging with friends and family.

Doug did the whole community a great service opening this gem during the disorienting, dreary days of lockdowns. I've been a patron many times since then and the food and service, along with his personal warmth and that of his staff, has been consistently excellent. No place better in the fall and winter.

Cute brunch spot in Westport and was recommended by a couple of good friends who are regulars here. Gotta say this was a win in my book for good tasty brunch! Definitely recommend for the Westport area! 9/10

This is an all-around good bet. Stellar staff, a nice vibe when you walk in and a varied menu where even the pickiest eater can find something to eat and/or drink. Doug, the owner (The Mighty Quinn) seems to go out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. Whether you are a table for two or there with a large group, your experience at Hudson Malone will more than likely convince you to come back.

I've enjoyed 2 great meals at this restaurant. There is a very small parking lot around the restaurant, but a much larger lot just across the street. For lunch, the ambiance was comfortable and the " old pub feel" was welcoming & cozy even though the size of the restaurant is relatively large. Service was friendly and attentive. I had their steak salad and it was excellent!!! The steak was cooked perfectly and the portion was ample. The greens were fresh and the dressing perfect! For Dinner, my boyfriend and I joined 2 friends on a Saturday evening at 6:30. The restaurant was packed!! We were seated at a table against the wall and the seating was comfortable. However, the fully packed restaurant with the hardwood floors elevated the noise level so much so that it was hard to converse easily across the table. We actually had to lean in to hear one another. Nevertheless, we all fully enjoyed our meals. Three of us ordered the Haddock special and it was cooked perfectly with delicious flavorings. Again, the portions were ample. When I visit on a Friday or Saturday night, I might just dine a bit earlier before the restaurant fills. But, I would absolutely dine here again and I highly recommend this restaurant.

It may increase to 5 stars. Loved loved loved my first visit. Wish I went to this place sooner. The vibe is so Uber cool. The other location is in NYC and it shows. Each dish our table ordered was wonderful. We loved the potato pancakes and I would highly recommend to NOT share this dish as you will want to devour every morsel. You can't go wrong with any item and I'll update on subsequent visits.

We came to Hudson Malone for brunch and it was a big letdown. Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviews that the service at this restaurant has a lot to improve. We were kind of forgotten by our waitress at the beginning - we weren't attended for more than 10min after being seated. After having to ask for water and menu, our waitress came to apologize but then kept coming back literally every 3-5min. The whole experience was awkward and the flow just felt very disrupted. We got salmon benedict and french toast, which were just average. Our bill came at $39 with a cup of latte. Quite pricey. Would not be coming back.

Have been here three times in the last two months - keep coming back for the food, the ambience and the service. We have enjoyed a variety of items on the menu - our favorite apps include the arancini, Mac and cheese and the calamari, the pork chop and the halibut special were excellent, and the burgers are juicy and delicious. The bar is excellent as well, with an extensive collection of bourbons, ryes and scotches - salute !
