She made me feel valued and taken care of, and her kindness truly elevated my night. Restaurants need more servers like her — thoughtful, graceful, and amazing at what she does. We had an INCREDIBLE time at Hudson VU bar cocktail bar!! We went here to celebrate my 30th and had a wonderful time enjoying the best place to see the sunset in NYC. Seeing the lights slowly twinkle on as the sun sets is such an amazing experience. The staff was fantastic and even gave me a birthday card signed by everyone! It was such a sweet touch. It is a little different from when it was the Press Lounge where there is assigned seating, but you can roam a little to get pictures from different angles while visiting. We went back in August and although it was a bit warm, there is a bit of a breeze! I recommend a lighttttt coat, cardigan or shawl if you are going on a warmer day and something a little warmer to wear outside of the summer months. We loved the experience so much and will most certainly be back next time we are in town. Enjoy the best view at the Hudson Vu!

The food was delicious, perfectly presented, and full of flavor. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was our cocktail waitress, Sofia!— the most darling, bubbly, and welcoming person! She has such a warm, genuine energy that instantly made us feel at home. Her charm and attentiveness added so much to the whole experience. Highly recommend Hudson Vu for the views, the vibe, and especially the service. We’ll definitely be back!

Probably one of the best restaurants/roof top bar we’ve been to. Initially we were hesitant due to the minimal options on the menu, HOWEVER, holy wow the food was amazing! Sofia gave us the best recommendations and did not disappoint. The Birdcage (which is fried chicken and corn bread) was probably the best thing! The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. Sauces were provided but not needed bc the chicken was perfectly seasoned! Sofia also recommended their blondie dessert which was phenomenal. Sofia did amazing with setting the ambience! 10/10 would recommend and come back!

Amazing spot! It was my first time here. I literally was so excited about the menu but also I was apprehensive because I'm always so used to restaurants with these big heavy meals...Anna reassured me about how great the food was and OH MY GOD! I order the Corn Ribs followed by the Croquettes and the Scallops! OMG I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT HOW GREAT AND FILLING AND FLAVORFUL IT WAS! FOOD GREAT! DRINKS GREAT! 5 STARS 5 STARS 5 STARS! I had such a wonderful experience thanks to our waitress, Sofia. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. She anticipated everything we needed without us ever having to ask and made sure our drinks were always perfect. Her timing was spot on—always checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. On top of that, she had a great personality and made us feel so welcome, like we were more than just customers. Service like hers is rare, and it truly elevated our meal. Thank you, Sofia , for making our night so enjoyable—I’ll definitely be coming back and asking for your section!

We stayed at Ink 148 for two nights because we had visited the Press Lounge a few years ago and liked the vibe and city views. It’s now under new management, but the rooftop is still a must see with panoramic city views from the inside. Adrian was our bartender and was awesome! We ordered the steak tartare which had an Asian fusion twist with peanuts, cilantro, and beef tallow, and it was excellent! I highly recommend visiting the rooftop if you’re nearby or in town. Everyone from the front desk downstairs to the hostess and bartenders are very friendly and customer service oriented.

This place popped up on my Insta and looked amazing, and I was not disappointed when I finally visited. First, I highly recommend making a reservation if you are going on the weekend because it was packed! The bar and decor inside were really nice. The seating can be a bit packed inside, which I do not like since it's a struggle to go in and out. But outside is very spacious, and the views are amazing, and of course, the mini pond in the middle is a nice touch, but I think they could do more with it. But that's my opinion. So make sure to book the outside seating! I had to try The Birdcage, which is more than enough for two or even three people, along with the Honey Glazed Carrots, which my bf loved, and for dessert, the Passionfruit Sorbet, which I recommend, but it is seasonal. As for drinks, I got the Miss Behavin', of course, and my boyfriend got the Local Spritz, both of which were really good and very pleasing to the eye as well! If you're taking the subway, it is a bit of a way to get it, but being that it's by the water, it's so worth it because of the amazing views--hence so many pictures, lol. The service is great as well, very prompt. Overall, I had an amazing time and would definitely go again.

If you love the city you will love it here We received help from a beautiful young woman named Sofia and she was a sweetheart. A New York 9, helpful, and kind. Came here for pre-dinner drins while in NYC. This rooftop bar is located on the 16th floor of Ink 48 Hotel. There is a dedicated elevator that takes You straight to the bar. Reservations were required during our visit and we made them a few hours before our arrival. They do not have a happy hour. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess and seated. We ordered at the bar first and got rose cider (clean, crisp with a hint of sweetness) and an old fashioned ( perfect balance of whiskey and bitters). When them decided to get a table and order a few cocktails: Miss Behavin'(), Local Spritz (), and the Rendevous-Vu (), which was our favorite. They do have a limited food menu. The rooftop offered sweeping views of NYC and the Hudson River with plenty of outside seating if you prefer. We also noticed that on special nights they have a DJ. All in all a nice place to enjoy drinks at sunset or a light bite while in NYC.

What an amazing roof top! The drinks were great, the view is breathtaking and the cocktails were superb. Great for a instagram moment, but also to have a chill vibe. Worth visiting day or night, the views are just that amazing!

Lovely amazing thoughtful staff. Ask for Jackie. She was very friendly, attentive and outgoing. She made sure and check on us throughout our entire visit. She was very knowledgeable about the flavors of the cocktails and what she felt would be best for us to try. Fantastic place - reservations needed, views are amazing, staff very friendly especially the bartenders food was excellent drinks prices high $20 for a vodka soda - this is a hotel also. I recommend it .

I got the chance to visit this restaurant with friends. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked into the hotel and took the elevator up. The place was super cute and we were seated. The views were nice. I ordered the coffee mocktail drink and added a shot and had the vodka martini. My friends ordered different dishes. They also gave us sunglasses for the sun that was blazing. We wanted to split the check to pay for our own but they couldn't do it so I ended up putting it on my card. All in all, I had a good experience.

Great and kind service, nice views and ok food! Food isn't top of the top cuisine, but a place like this usually is not meant for that. I would frequent again.

Friendly helpful staff. Stunning city view and ocean view of the Hudson. Great cocktails and delicious fresh small plates. The Birdcage is a must. It comes with well season juicy honey glazed fried chicken and a sweet rich flavorful cornbread. The corn ribs are juicy and flavorful. Excellent time. Amazing breathing taking view. Hello Yelpers, I had the pleasure of visiting Hudson VU this past week and boy are the views breathtaking. I love the vibes and strongly recommend this spot for a date or to hang with friends. FYI no hats and you should dress business casual. We ordered the birdcage which was breaded chicken thighs, they were good but I'm more of a chicken breast girl. Please note the chicken was good. My favorite part was the homemade cornbread. Boy were they yummy. The drinks were amazing. I cannot remember the name of my drink but it's in the photo. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Again, if you want a chill vibe with breathtaking views stop by Hudson VU.

Amazing view, be sure to go at sunset! Drinks were tasty and The Birdcage appetizer was more than enough to share. Would be nice if there were heat lamps for the cold nights. Recommend!

Was very excited to try out this new restaurant while staying at Ink 48. We were told we needed a reservation and if we didn't show up, it's a $50 cancellation fee. We tried to get in a little before our 10 o'clock reservation. We were told they were booked. We decided to go up for a nightcap and ordered two drinks. An espresso martini, and one of their Matchatini specialty drinks. Service was extremely slow. We also asked to order their one dessert on the menu and were told they were all out. They offered us gelato a salted caramel that had a nice flavor, but a weird texture very grainy. Our drinks arrived. Any espresso martini did not have Baileys, which is typically optional, so we asked for it, however they don't stock Bailey's in their bar so my travel companion could not obtain drink in the way she had expected. She asked about several other liquors to add to the beverage and the only one they had was Grand Marnier. It literally a half an hour for that to come in the meantime, my specialty drink, although very pretty was incredibly sour and in my opinion inedible. I returned it, something I very seldom do. Each of the times we asked for assistance. There was a very long wait. Even asking for water took about 15 minutes before it arrived. The establishment was not that busy and even though we asked if we could sit outside, we were told we could not since that was not where our reservation was. We could visually see that there were spaces available outside. Overall, a very disappointing experience. For $89 for two inedible drinks and mediocre gelato. I would definitely not recommend a visit when in the city. There are just too many other places to spend your dollars!!

Hudson Vu is now open and it's set to be the rooftop of the summer. Previously known as press lounge this rooftop has had a massive renovation and you guys have to see what they've done. On the 16th floor of the Ink 48 hotel, Hudson Vu boasts of nearly 360 degree views capturing both the Hudson River and the NYC skyline.. you can even see a bit of Times Square from some locations. Make sure you get there for golden hour for beautiful photo moments and stay through sunset and see this rooftop transform into an elegant upscale bar. Unlike a lot of rooftops... the food and drinks here were actually amazing. My friend and I absolutely demolished their Little Gem Salad and the Birdcage was not only gorgeous but absolutely delicious. But beware, if you're not into spice the hot sauce is pretty spicy so taste it out before you dunk in. The cocktails here were amazing & the views are spectacular! I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to enjoy a drink with a view. The food was overpriced & mediocre in my opinion so 1 star off for that. Overall, the ambience is perfect for enjoying a cocktail with a view & catching up with friends.

Saw this place opened a few weeks ago and I just had to see what the hype was all about. I love a nice rooftop with great views of the city. Parking can be a hassle though so be prepared. Came here on a Sunday. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us. First, the place is very pleasing to the eye. The views are great, and there is ample space outside to sit. This will definitely be a hotspot in the summer, I can feel it. There were a good number of people coming and going. The service was excellent. From our waitress to the manager, I felt very welcomed. I wish the menu had more options but what they currently have is definitely worth a try. Whatever you order just make sure to get the corn ribs! It was like crack. We ordered 2 of them, that is how good it was. Try the crab wrapped in grape leaf. It is big enough to share and ther give you lots of crab meat. Didn't have to wait long for my food which is a plus. I didn't try their cocktails because I was driving, but their mocktails were really good and decent price for where we were. Come here with a group of friends or on a nice date. I can't wait to come back. Definitely will be my go to during the summer months.

WOW. We just had an incredible evening to top off our weekend. The Hudson Views are drop dead gorgeous...and that sunset!!! Fabulous cocktails...we had a Rendevous and West Side Gent. Both were very tasty and nicely garnished. We started with the Hiramasa Crudo which was crazy good...nice contrast with sweet Asian pear and citrus vinaigrette. We also had the Birdcage - fried chicken with cornbreads and some terrific hot sauces. Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Crispy, light and super flavorful. The place has a great vibe and really pleasant frontend team! Service was perfectly attentive. We'll definitely be back as there's more to explore on the really interesting menu. And it's only a short 20 block walk from our apt.

Food, service and view from rooftop were excellent!! The ambiance definitely hit us when we got off the elevator; especially as we were greeted immediately by the hostess. The presentation of Birdcage chicken was so creative. The cocktails were creative and tasty. Loved the view from all angles. City view and Hudson River scene. We were not there for sunset, but this rooftop experience would demand my return to enjoy that view. This is a fairly new venue and will quickly become a favorite!!!

Stunning Views with STUNNINGLY Bad Service You'd think it'd be hard to mess up a rooftop with such a beautiful setting but somehow, Ink 48 has done it again. Hudson VU is nothing more than a rebranded Press Lounge, which was notorious for its poor service and overpriced drinks. Sadly, the name is the only thing that's changed. We were seated and waited 25 minutes without being greeted, only finally getting attention when I got up and found a staff member myself. I even brought it to a manager's attention, and she did absolutely nothing to assist or rectify the situation. From the time we were seated to when we got our first drinks (just a beer and three wines), nearly 40 minutes had passed. What should you expect: -$15 beers -$20 appetizers that are barely more than a bite -A side of arrogance you wouldn't even find at a Michelin-starred spot I live in the neighborhood and swore off this place years ago. The rebrand piqued my interest, but it was a mistake to return. Hudson VU clearly caters to unsuspecting out-of-towners, charging high prices while delivering subpar service. If you're looking for a roof experience that actually delivers on its promise of ambiance and service, head to The Peak instead. Hudson VU is just a renamed disappointment, still playing by the same playbook that shut them down the first time. If you go, keep your expectations low and be prepared to spend $75-$100 per person for slow service, tiny portions, and a side of attitude.

Elise was the best server! Fantastic views, good food, nice vibe, no wait; everything you want in a rooftop. I'm reluctant to tell people about it because I want to be able to come back without a line!

Ate at the restaurant downstairs not the rooftop. It's excellent! The chicken confit is amazing as is the seasonal summer salad. Desert was fantastic and the service was top tier.

The view was spectacular, and the service was even better. We went for before show drinks, and then because of the wonderful staff and service, returned after the show! Although all of the staff was wonderful, Eilise was especially kind, professional, and provided outstanding service. Thank you!

The server Sofia was amazing! She recommended great choices for a light menu for dinner. We ate inside which we still had great views of the skyline, without the sun in our eyes or wind. The drinks and food were out of this world fabulous! No rush to leave, they filled our water often and told us to take our time. We spent an hour and half really enjoying the atmosphere, fantastic service, great food and wonderful company.

Adrian was an amazing bartender, provided us with a variety of drinks and food to pick from. Food was excellent, and the ambiance was great even on a rainy summer night. Wonderful views!

Visited NYC recently. Thought we'd try something new. Had 10pm reservations, in the bar. Arrived on time, lots of available seating outside but were denied access because our reservation was specifically for "in the bar" and they wouldn't accommodate. We were seated at a high top in the middle of traffic. Several wait staff scurried around us. At about 15 mins after being seated I snagged the arm of a passing server. Drink menu is very limited. Their specialty cocktails are all preprogrammed and dispensed from a machine... Kinda looked like a Keurig. I ordered what I assumed was a pretty common cocktail. 30 mins later my espresso martini was delivered. It was awful. How do you screw up an espresso martini? My travel companion ordered one of the "specialty" drinks. Also, awful. It was sent back. We also ordered a "small plate" from their sparce food menu; after 40 mins it still hadn't arrived to our table. We settled up... $120 for drinks we couldn't consume, food that never arrived and as much attitude as they could project. Very disappointing, don't recommend. Take your business elsewhere.

I live in Hells Kitchen and have thankfully, finally, found my favorite local rooftop bar. Carolina and Lacey the GM's and hosts, were kind enough to help with reserving a spot at the bar, my friend and I were just walk-ins, reservations are normally required. Adrian and Carlos behind the bar served us perfect cocktails for this perfect time of the year to be outside drinking and eating surrounded by the lights of Midtown. I highly recommend the RendezVu if you enjoy a clean, crisp Tequila-based cocktail. The food menu is more tapas-style but the Roasted Beets was probably the best beet salad I've ever had in my life. If you need something cool, delicious, creamy and filling don't go any further than this on point beet salad. The views are incredible, the space outside large and spacious with a very cool reflecting pool. The music was also really enjoyable: you could have a conversation, and still be heard, whilst the upbeat and uptempo smooth grooves in the background created a sophisticated ambience, enjoyed by a diverse crowd. Highly recommended for a seasonal tipple with sensational views, elevated cocktails, excellent service and ambience, for locals and tourists alike.

Hudson VU, WOW! We shared apps and cocktails and they were all delicious. The servers were amazing and I must mention the views - which are fully panoramic and UNBELIEVABLE. Already planning on bringing my team here for the next corporate event.

If I could give this place zero stars I would.... Had reservations for 2 for a birthday celebration. We both were very excited to try the place & had high expectations. Reservation was at 8pm, we arrived a little early only to find that we had to wait in a line that was going out of the door. When we stated we had a reservation the greeter stated "everyone has a reservation" we proceeded to the line (it started moving) ... 20 mins later the same greeter came out to tell everyone "if you don't have a reservation it's no point in standing in this line. Upstairs is at full capacity so when someone come down the next person will go." We then start asking questions "is there a seat time limit" he couldn't give a time on the wait but then said " there's an event going on up" when we tried to cancel our reservation the lady (didn't get her name) said that we still would be charged $50pp. That's so unacceptable. What's the point in having us place a reservation if you can't guarantee we are going to be seated at that time.
