Had a great experience. Was able to find exactly what I was looking for for our hosts. The shop offered to gift wrap it for no additional charge. The shop also offered me a discount that I wasn't told about. So that was a pleasant surprise.

This is the best wine store! Great collection of USA, French, Italian, Australian and South African wine at great prices. Very good customer service - has a great CRM system, always knows what your last order was, so you can get it again. Offers speedy delivery. Has great spirits, champagne and even glasses. A true local store with an owner who really looks after his customers, and he really knows his wine!

Hudson Wine & Spirits, located at the corner of Hudson and Laight Street is the perfect stop off at the end of any good or bad day. (It's also a little sanctuary from the sea of traffic horns round rush hour). There are high quality wines at every price range. Some are better known, some are sleepers. The owner is a true gentleman. Intuitive kind, never hovering over your shoulder, but always ready to help. As a result of the variety and carefully selected selections, I am not overwhelmed by choices, and I find that calming as well. BTW, I live one block north of Canal Street, and I never considered this store as a go-to, since I didn't think it could be closer to other neighborhood wine stores. But it's really just a hop, skip and jump (two blocks) south of Canal.
