"Northern Thai food has a special place in the hearts of locals, but finding good food like this outside the region can be tough. So Huen Lamphun is a gem of a find, to such an extent that large groups from the neighbourhood return in droves. Every dish uses organic vegetables grown onsite. The grilled, fermented northern Thai pork in banana leaf explodes with chilli and garlic. Another favourite is Makwan-marinated grilled chicken with a peppery flavour and herbal aroma." - Michelin Inspector

5 Eateries To Check Out At The MICHELIN Guide Street Food Festival In Macau

"Northern Thai food holds a special place in the hearts of Thais. But top-notch versions of this regional cuisine can be hard to find outside of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, which is why Huen Lamphun is such a gem. Larb kua (minced pork salad) and nam yang baitong (fermented pork in banana leaf) are excellent, as is the sai oua (northern-style sausage). All recipes use vegetables grown in the restaurant's organic garden. Conclude the meal with Arabica coffee from Chiang Rai." - Kenneth Goh

A wonderful spot for Northern and Eastern Thai food. The menu is extensive with so many tempting options. The taste is bold and spicy but still well-balanced and full of flavour. -ส้มตำ(Papaya Salad with salted egg) -ลาบทอด (Fried Spicy Pork Ball with chilli dipping sauce) : My expectation on this dish might be high. I like when it crispy outside and soft center. This one's an overly hard, indicating it may be overcooked or they make it thinner than what I expected. -ขนมจีนน้ำเงี้ยว(Rice vermicelli with Northern Thai Sauce) : -ต้มแซ่บเห็ดรวม(Spicy Mushroom clear soup) : Like it a lot! Thai Spicy! -น้ำพริกอ่องพร้อมชุดผัก (Spicy Northern Thai Pork and Tomato with side salad) : Expecting it to be a bit more sweeter and balance of savoury, sweet, sour and herbal favours. -หมูคลุกงาทอด (FriedPork coated with sesame) : Easy to eat and tender texture. -ข้าวหนุกทอด ( Perilla Rice Stick with syrup) : Soft sticky rice tossed with crunchy Perilla seed. The 1st time I have tried this menu. I thought it might be very chewy, surprisingly it was crispy outside and inside is perfect texture. Lots of seating both indoor with air-conditioning and out door. Good — for dining with friends and family.

Not really a fan of the Northern dishes here, except for the Northern sausage which was quite good. The Isan and Central Thai dishes were much tastier in my opinion. Service was great and there’s plenty of parking. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, especially nice for families. Prices are on the higher side though, with portions feeling a bit small compared to what you pay.

This Esan restaurant (Northeast Thai cuisine) is one of the best ones i hv ever eaten!!! The atmosphere is very chilling and relax but price is totally affordable not expensive!! You can choose to dine in indoor with air-con or outdoor to experience the local vibe! We ate Kor moo yang (pork neck), which u can request for less sweet! The sour sausage and somtum (Papaya Salad) were soooooo good, as well as kanom jeen!!! Don't forget to order khao niao (sticky rice) which is super hot and fresh ahahahaha Overall experience was excellent, the only concern might be location, it's a bit far away from main tourist areas but it's convenient to ride GRAB to reach there!!

Very delicious Northern and Northeastern Thai food. Green chili dip is very tasty and not too spicy. Fried sticky rice with sesame is highly recommended, not a lot of restaurant offer them and I'm glad to see it here.

Northern restaurant with a variety of delicious dishes, served in small portions but not too expensive. Their nam prik num has a great taste, and they offer rice berry as an option for sticky rice. The atmosphere is nice with plants and a waterfall, both indoor and outdoor seating available. It's a fairly large restaurant with plenty of parking and tends to be quite crowded.

Somtum and grilled are delicious!!! There are some menu that I have never tried before. However its impressive and yummy 😋 There are various menus and dessert. However the way of ordering food is a bit hard. We need to find the name of the food in the paper and circling it 😅 The food is quite fast but rice and sticky rice are so slow. We had followed the rice for 3 times before we get it. The waiters who are not Thai is working very hard and helps us to follow the food. The Thai waitress keep drooping her eyes. Parking Lots are available Yet, overall is good and love the food

Northern Thai food. Recommend their roast fish, big in size, tender in texture. laap raw beef is fresh with interesting taste as well, worth a try. There is also a little cafe selling snacks and northern sausage and chilli.
