HUERTAS RESTAURANT

My son and daughter had dentist appointments just before lunchtime yesterday. The appointments went well, so we went to grab some lunch and like to try new places. Huertas was nearby and had good reviews. My son ordered chips and guac for an appetizer and steak tacos for his meal, my daughter had steak tacos as well and I had Al Pastor and 1 Pork Papusa. All 3 of us had a soda as well. Everyone was very polite and attentive. I have a few places around that have good authentic tacos and this place didn't disappoint either. The thing that shined for me was the Papusa though. I haven't had a good Papusa in some time and the so called Papuseria's around are not good... I would go back just for the Papusa's and have no trouble recommending them highly! The tacos did come with a really small side of rice, but we didn't like it at all. Not sure what it was about it, but it wasn't good. All in all, the bill was $64 before tip, so it is a bit pricey for a quick lunch. One thing I was shocked about is that the meal didn't come with chips & Salsa like most other similar restaurants. If you want authentic food in the area, this is a good place to stop, I do recommend it and we will be back!

I tried this place for the first time this weekend. The food was amazing, with large portions, low prices, and lots of fresh ingredients. I got the spinach and cheese pupusas and the chicken soup. The pupusas were enough for a meal by themselves, and were delicious as leftovers later. The chicken soup comes with a whole crispy chicken leg and thigh on a bed of seasoned rice on the side. Also more than a whole meal on its own. The restaurant is brand new, spacious, and nicely decorated and they play a pleasant selection of Latin American pop music. It's also convenient to the Weis and the laundromat. They offer both sit down and to go service. Definitely coming back here!

Amazing pupusas!! Great atmosphere and a variety of Hispanic dishes. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Best place in Hagerstown for authentic and fresh food. Every dish was amazing and customer service was great.

They are clean and the tacos are out of this world and the soups 😮‍💨

If you like it spicy you will be delighted. Nose running good. If course mild is an option as well. Friendly smiling service.
