Lizbeth was AMAZING! She made our experience here at Huey the best. We didn't have to look for her she was right there serving with a beautiful smile. Definitely coming back

Jim Holland

Google
Our server was amazing, as you know they can make or break the experience. His name was Brett and you should ask for him you Won’t be disappointed. The food was fast and hot the and everyone was Pleasant. My food looked so good I forgot to get some pics.

Came here this evening for our anniversary and was seated and welcomed by Anslee. She was super helpful. Was punctual on making sure we were served with fresh hot food and that our table needs were met! Even with the restaurant being super busy on a Friday evening, Anslee was right on time!! If you ever come to Huey Luey's, make sure you ask for Anslee every time! She was super helpful in my drink selection too! Thanks again!

Rachael Brimlow

Google
Anslee did a fanominal job for our family!!! She was very chipper and very attentive to any needs. The food was great and the drinks were great! She added the cherry on top of the visit. We love Huey's but I would for sure come back once a week if we could have her serve us ❤️

Google
Good place, odd specialty, margaritas even to go. Not alot to choose from but the food is good. Cindy had enchilada and I had nachos. Nice outdoor seating but I do worry some about their choice of chairs, wobbly. Maybe not good for the over served.

Google
This was my first visit to this place and the atmosphere and service was amazing! Brett, Mel, and Bella was so friendly, kind, and super attentive!!! I will be back next Friday! So loving the live music! I missed a movie to stay and hangout because the vibe was so nice! If you haven’t tried it, give it a try! The rooftop if not hot if you are wondering. I came around 5:30pm and it was not to hot to stay and enjoy myself!

Google
I visited the Christmas bar open in the rooftop bar area and loved the decorations including the fireplace "burning" on the TV (much better than sports or news). Our bartender, Peyton, did a great time telling us all about the Elf theme and the love that went into the decorating of the space. We ended up trying all of the signature cocktails that garnered their names from the movie Elf and every single one was so delicious! Peyton makes some great drinks, the recipes were unique and so tasty they could be dangerous! I would absolutely return and am so happy our area has our own unique Christmas bar!

Google
What a nice surprise and great experience at the upstairs bar. Great to see the upgrades and loved the staff. I was nice to see Brett's interaction with everyone. He was very professional, personable, and concerned that we were pleased our visit. Bella was interjected and pleasant, great job. Good to spend time with a friendly staff.

Yelp
we went on a weekday at around 2:30 pm with two 6 month old twins. The server was SO nice and treated us so well! I believe his name was Alexander and he was fantastic. We went on wednesday (fajita deal day) and steak fajitas were $13.99. I would have paid double! They sizzled for minutes and came with garlic butter on the side to pour over the steak. Like oh my god Salsa was also yummy! I hadn't been here since high school but whenever I'm in the area i'll wanna visit again Classic mexican restaurant ambiance. Wished the booths were wider for the baby car seats but they accommodated us very well!

Yelp
It is not advisable to seek employment at this organization, as they frequently have a high turnover rate due to their frequent hiring and firing practices. Additionally, it is important to note that this is an at-will employment opportunity. Regrettably, the management of Huey Luey's Acworth displays clear evidence of racism. Specifically, Tyler Hawthorne and Anthony, the server manager, have exhibited discriminatory behavior. I was brought on board as a server, only to be dismissed on my second day of employment due to my hair color. The company's employee handbook outlines guidelines for grooming, including the requirement for hair to be neatly trimmed and longer hair to be tied back. Although Anthony was the one who hired me, Tyler Hawthorne asserted that my hair color was a mistake in the hiring process. He later attributed my dismissal to a lack of work. I believe that divine intervention saved me from this position. If you condone racism, then supporting Huey Luey's Acworth is the choice for you. You would be the ideal patron for their establishment.

Yelp
Solid showing today, Hueys. Special award for all the employees parking in the back. I was their first customer today. When I walked in all the staff scattered from the bar. Been there in a past life. All the service was friendly and top notch. Both lunches were flavorful, large portions. Would highly recommend this location for a fast office break lunch.

Tameka B.

Yelp
My food was cold, it was over priced, and my drink was good. My rice and beans ice cold and when sent back they microwaved me some rice and beans. Street corn was sweet, and not enough mayo, cheese or butter. The food was old and not good at all. The margaritas are weird, it separates and you have to.shake it up to mix it up.

Ann C.

Yelp
I love Tex-Mex food. There's such a great variety on the menu here. And I have to say, the margaritas are outstanding. We had a large group and the location on Cobb Parkway has really good seating for large crowds. Plus a rooftop bar. Lots of natural light comes through the restaurant itself, and the overview of Cobb Parkway on the rooftop is really cool. My food recommendations are the fajitas, the burritos, and the pork tacos. And their queso dip is fantastic. Maddie was our server, and she was unparalleled. Of all the times I've been to this restaurant. Overall, she was the best server I've ever had.

Phillip P.

Yelp
Good food, good service, good environment. I've never had a bad experience and will return. The acworth location has always been a good spot to meet friends and have a good meal.

Angela B.

Yelp
This is casual, relatively fast and fun dining at its best. I don't usually review chain type restaurants, but I find this one deserving. My food is always tasty and fresh, and the service is always friendly & attentive. There's usually sport on the TVs, and I love the margaritas! My favorite meals are either the 2 tacos served w/ a side or a fiesta bowl. Both come with different proteins. My favorite tacos are the coconut shrimp and fish, but they also have brisket, chicken, etc. My favorite fiesta bowl is salsa chicken. Yum! This restaurant is very convenient for us, and sometimes we just pop in to sit at the bar & enjoy a drink.

Jessica H.

Yelp
The new street tacos are amazing they are always so accommodating , they removed the cheese from mine and the margaritas are always on point . Thank you Celesh for the great service :)

Rob B.

Yelp
Their food is very overpriced and it's just canned food not authentic at all. Service is terrible especially if you set upstairs when it's not busy they forget about you and drinks are weak. Go next-door to poblanos much better.

Vi G.

Yelp
This is a lively restaurant! The environment, staff etc, all too fun. In laws were in town for a surprise birthday gift for the hubs. Unfortunately we had a small hiccup w/ MIL's food. She ordered taquitos w/ no pico. 1st one came out & was loaded w/ pico. 2nd came out , loaded w/ pico but no guac. 3rd one came out, no guac no pico . Lol, we had to ask for a side of guac. All else enjoyed, unfortunately MIL wanted too but..can't please everyone. Lol

Yelp
I haven't been to this location for a few years since they tried to serve me a Mahi Mahi taco and tried scamming me with Tilapia. Folks we can taste the difference. I went with a group. Server was ok. I ordered the Fiesta Bowl with Shrimp. It was delicious! Could have given more veggies for $17.00 just saying. Another ordered the Taco salad. The presentation was fun and different loved it. Whomever you have in the kitchen now is making a big difference. Keep him/her. I'd go again and hopefully the tacos have the actual advertised ingredients lol.

Edwina T.

Yelp
The meal was ok but not pushing any culinary boundaries. The service was not as good as I would expect. General bar type atmosphere. All of these were probably due to an off day. But I'm unlikely to return.

John K.

Yelp
Formerly one of our reliable stops, we haven't been in nearly 18 months. I got the signature tacos - 1 coconut shrimp & 1 steak with street corn ($1 upcharge) & charro beans. I was well pleased. Wife got her old "go-to," the steak & blue. Unfortunately, she was a bit disappointed - her steak had a good bit of gristle & they apparently don't have blue cheese dressing anymore, which used to top it off for her. We may give it another try in a few months.

Yelp
Have eaten here a couple of times, if you're looking for standard tex mex, this is a pretty good spot. The frozen sangria swirl is pretty darn good! And the strawberry basil margarita is very refreshing. We get the avocado rolls and man we're they yummy! I wasn't super impressed with the Birria quesadilla, but it was ok. Service was quick and friendly.

Leela W.

Yelp
I was pretty sure I made a review about this place but apparently I didn't so this is long overdue. The inside is pretty nice and so are the waiters/waitresses the sculptures outside are.... Unique and everything looks good my family and I have gone there a few times and it was good but then one night we went there and it was fine. That night my brother threw up multiple times the next night I did too. Yesterday my parents went out to eat my mom insisted they go to Huey Lueys because she loves their food. This morning my dad's stomach hurt really bad and he too threw up. So that will be the last time we go wouldn't recommend *didn't have any pics for this restaurant sorry*

Yelp
Pretty good, all things considered. Not the best experience I've ever had, but good. The staff here is consistently gracious and kind. They don't rush you, and they're on top of refills and such. Orders have always been accurate. Food is good. Not the best Mexican I've ever had, but pretty good. Atmosphere is nice, though, like most restaurants, it gets loud when it's crowded. Alcoholic drinks are pretty good. A solid four-stars. Don't expect to be totally wowed, but you'll almost certainly have a good experience where you don't have to worry about anything except the check (hey, nothing's cheap these days). Recommended.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! Excellent location, tons of parking available surrounding the entire restaurant and they have upstairs/outdoor seating. Beautiful restaurant and modernly decorated with plenty of TVs to catch a game. Large bar selection! Very well known for their margaritas and now I know why - try their Sweet Heat! Small kick but so delicious & made with fresh pineapple juice. Our server Constance was outstanding - super friendly, welcoming (this was our first visit) and very attentive. She was helpful with our menu questions and very patient with our children. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. We dined in during a busy Saturday afternoon and we were seated right away. Hostess was delightful. I tried the steak fajitas and they were delicious! My husband enjoyed his chorizo stuffed chicken with rice and beans. My son loved his burrito and fries from the kid's menu. We ordered 2 to-go margaritas - such a fun option! Can't wait to go back and try their birria tacos and brunch! Plus their dessert (tres leches sounds so good!)

Yelp
Zero stars First time eating here. I had the festa bowel with salmon, it was disgusting. Then I gave it another try and ordered the nachos supreme with chicken and it was disgusting too. The meat was rubbery and the overall taste of the food was gross. I don't understand how anybody can like the food at this place. I will never go back, even if someone pays for my meal. Don't waste your taste buds, or your calories, or your money!!! One positive thing is that the people working there were nice and didn't treat me a certain why because I didn't like their food.

Keli M.

Yelp
Enjoyed our food and overall experience! I barely drink but their exotic drink menu was too enticing to pass up. No complaints and will be back.

R. J. R.

Yelp
B O M B If y'all aren't hitting the roof top bar, what are you even doing? Hayden, Montana, and zach are the BEST!! Will be coming back !! Fantastic atmosphere

Rich E.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is what I would call a typical Tex-Mex, loud and bustling. The service was good, but a bit slow bringing water and drinks. The biggest complaint is the price/quality of the Margaritas. My wife order a special Cranberry Margarita and we ordered a pitcher of "regular" Margarita's. I have to say they were the worst Margarita's I ever had! Basically tasted like a fruit juice syrup and I'm not even sure about Tequila being in it. A few of us a Margarita aficionado's and these were not even in the ballpark. On top of that, the cost was $11 for a small glass - and $35 for what was a carafe!!! Don't think we'll be returning any time soon.

Kenny A.

Yelp
Very disappointed in this place. Ordered a Christmas cocktail (did not get ID'd) then sat and watched the bartender pickup the ice cube for my old fashion that fell onto the mat they make all the drinks on WITH HIS BARE HAND!!!! I kindly called him out on it and asked for a new drink. When they brought the new drink I watched the interaction with the bartenders like they messed with my drink. It put a sick feeling in my stomach so I sent it back. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because our server was understanding and prompt. The bathrooms were gross as well. Not coming back. Ew. Don't recommend.

Yelp
My husband likes Huey Luey's more than I do. To me, when you walk in the front door, it smells like lysol disinfectant. But any hoo, he loves the Mexican chopped salad, so I appease him from time to time. We went this week, and yes, my nostrils were hit with that pungent cleaner smell, but it didn't keep me from really loving my food and DRINK. Our sever was Rachel(?) and she was very personable and eager to please. I got the salmon which has a yummy homemade glaze on it. The meal also comes with beans and rice. Usually we leave with leftovers, but not so on this visit!! The glaze was so good and the salmon was cooked to perfection. My husband got his usual, and loved it. I'm the IPA beer drinker in the fam and I ordered the Dry County IPA (draft). Our waitress gave me the choice of small, medium or large. Did I tell you I am the IPA beer drinker in the family? I ordered large. Warning: the large weighs 5 lbs because it's 32 oz. in a huge heavy stein. You'll never guess my reaction: mad! I was not happy. (Not really, but you'll know what I mean in a minute.). The fact that Rachel didn't warn me about how huge it would be, perturbed me. Those who know me know that I never waste food--so I had to finish it off so it wouldn't go down the drain by the bus boy. (I'm not politically correct, so forgive me, no offense is intended.) We'll between my better sense and my non-IPA drinking husband, we killed the 5 lb. beer off. But now I'm the wiser--I'll ask about the ounces before I order next time. Knowing me, I'll probably get a medium!! p.s. the guacamole, the chips and salsa are s the best around.

Yelp
It was a packed house and the food was great. We had a small wait but well worth it. It has an open floor plan so a bit loud but ate with great friends and had a blast.

Devon F.

Yelp
Food is good but the management gives me prejudice vibes! Very rude and clearly walks a borderline non-compliant human resource line.

Kevin G.

Yelp
Hmmmm, this is the second time I've seen a Huey Luey's and decided maybe to try them out. I was out with my gf shopping off Cobb Pkwy and we were both hangry AF. Cool vibe from the outside grabbed my attention. Inside has some decent atmosphere to it. We got seated right away in a booth, with chips and salsa brought to us. I think they were short staffed on this day, since the guy that seated us also got our drinks, food order and cheese dip. No worries there since all aspects of service were fluid. Our main server finally came around and did a great job! The chips, salsa and cheese dip were ok. Salsa was fairly hot, which I enjoyed, and I liked the flour tortillas they brought for the cheese dip. Reminded me of an old school restaurant chain I used to eat at beside they went out of business (it's slipping my mind). I opted for something different and did taco wraps. Honestly, nothing unique. Just two tacos wrapped up in almost burrito fashion. Reminded me of a gyro. I was hungry so downed them, but nothing about it stuck out to me. My beans had pork in them so had to give that to the gf, and my rice was ok. I did like the teamwork of the wait staff here (and the name card they place down), although she missed taking off my cheese dip with Yelp check in. Ok seems to be the mantra for my visit here. Not a place I would seek out on my own but it did the job of taking away my hunger.

Kim J.

Yelp
What a great spot for good food and Margarita's! Our group of six got seated quickly and enjoyed many menu items. The salsa and chips were delivered to the table immediately and we ordered the guacamole. Really good flavor and a heaping bowl full !! I ordered the pollo ranchero, huge portion, beans could use a little more flavor but over all great menu item. Would definitely come back!! Margarita and the Strawberry Lemonade were amazing !!

Dee J.

Yelp
Food is good - but management gives prejudice vibes. She had 2 employees upstairs and was extremely rude to the brown one in front of us and then smiled at the other one that looked like her - and the brown one was doing MOST of the work. I heard that she was the owner which makes it even worse!!! Will not return for that reason alone. Made sure we tipped her well too!

Wayne S.

Yelp
Tonight I had the steak with potatoes and veggies. They snuck in a bunch of mushrooms which I am not a fan of. There wasn't much steak either with this dish. One of the more expensive things on the menu. Disappointed tonight. Not much flavor. Service is always good. Food tonight was disappointing.

Tina T.

Yelp
It's basic American Mexican food ... the tortillas and salsa is decent tho and the drinks are pretty cheap and good ... the outdoor seating is cool for acworth

Matthew W.

Yelp
The first time I had food from here, they catered an event and somehow it was good enough to bring me in. Maybe it was that it was free put blinders on because our in restaurant experience was mediocre. Yet another Tex-Mex place in this area that simply is meh. Wouldn't rush back.

Denise L.

Yelp
Friday night 8:00, 20 minute wait, no problem for us, you cant expect to not have a wait on a Friday night. The food and service was really good, and the atmosphere was fun. I wish i had done my review like the next day, because the only thing i do remember is the pineapple margarita, which was INCREDIBLE. I know we loved our food and our server, but it was last month, on a quick trip to Georgia, so too much was going on for me to do a proper review of the food. Great place, great atmosphere, we will go back again if we are ever in the neighborhood ... not likely as we live in Texas, but if we are ever in GA again, we will return

LaDreena W.

Yelp
It's ok. Not authentic and not the best or the worst tasting food. I think it might do fine to satisfy a craving, but I wouldn't go in with high expectations. Upstairs/outside looks fun, so I will return when I don't have my kids with me.

Mark A.

Yelp
I have been here several times and always enjoy the food and service. They have a great selection of options and awesome alcoholic bevs if thats your thing!

Ryan D.

Yelp
Our Huey Luey's experience was fantastic as usual. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Our waitress Ansleigh was on point and there when we needed her, never allowing us to run out of water or drinks! Thanks for keeping the food and service top notch even in these tough times keeping staffed! This place seems very well managed!

Nicole R.

Yelp
I really didn't like the food! It took way to long to get the food and it wasn't all that. The server was birder line rude, I understand "bad days" however leave that attitude at home! I look at it like this, you choose this job, the job didn't choose you! You know that any job where you have to deal with customers, will definitely be stressful and sometimes you just want to scream! But remember your TIPS depend on how you treat your customers. My daughter was a server for many years through college so I understand they mostly live on tips, but then you should understand that having an attitude while dealing with your customer won't help the situation at all

Margaret E.

Yelp
We love their food and enjoy sitting at the bar but we've had to go elsewhere due to a strong stale beer odor at the bar. While we had noticed it each time we went, it's gotten worse to the point where it's not tolerable. We were recently told they're working on it so hopefully we will be able to return. They need to offer drink specials too as one way to get people back since there are several mexican restaurants nearby.

Stan K.

Yelp
The food is just OK, typical TexMex with the emphasis on Tex! The avocado rolls are the best thing on the whole menu; just those appetizers, a drink, and to hang out with friends is OK. This location has a large upper deck outside, but it is on the sunny side, probably not a great place in our Georgia summer heat. Enough parking, but kinda hard to get in down a side street. I don't plan to ever go back; we have too many other good places to eat.

Todd W.

Yelp
Let me start out by saying merica. We went to Huey Luey's on the Fourth of July. We had our sister-in-law in town from Utah never been here never been to Georgia. We were excited to show her poblano's. Yes, that's right I said poblano's, but they were closed so we had to settle by going to Huey Luey's where are we were met by the bartender, and I don't know if she was a bartender, the other girl working up there Montana we simply asked and ordered queso dip with jalapeños. She said she was too busy rudely and said we had to wait because they're slammed. They had four tables on the whole patio including the bar. They then brought us some sliced at best jalapeños what are you gonna do with those? So we were told also they didn't have large bowls, so after we ate the first round of queso, they were going to refill our bowl. Then when we got halfway through our bowl, we could not get any chips, so at this point I had enough I went down to the management which I spoke to didn't get to finish my sentence before she said, let's go back upstairs and take care of this she was able to get us queso dip with jalapeños, diced as if it was a major problem then offered us another set of drinks. We didn't ask for that bottom line you're in the service industry. You probably need to provide the best service possible that's how restaurants survive, and it was the exact opposite of this place. I definitely will not be back the server Montana should be fired for the attitude before we even sat down. I hope this makes it to the corporate guy and you actually do something about it, have a nice day. Happy Fourth of July.

Sara C.

Yelp
I ordered This a lot for catering in the past. It's really good and offices love the fajitas. The cheese is great. The only thing we can't stand is the "after scent" that hangs onto you afterwards. It was almost like we needed to change our clothes and shower. It wasn't a Mexican food scent ...hard To explain

Erin J.

Yelp
Very busy, great food, clean, friendly staff. I had the taco salad and it was excellent with a lot of toppings. My son gets the super burrito. It's large and tasty.

Kathy C.

Yelp
fun place to go with friends. delicious guacamole and chips good deal on their house margaritas

Michelle G.

Yelp
We love this place and wish we lived closer it's well worth the drive. Steph was the BEST! She was so great with all of our food allergies and medical dietary restrictions. The food was SO good! We love their cilantro lime rice, fajitas, guac...it was all delicious! The food came out fast, everything was right and it was all hot and fresh! The manager came by to check on us and was so great making sure everything was right and we were happy! I saw him checking in with every single table and thanking them for coming in. We will definitely be back!

Alicia B.

Yelp
We went the other night and the food was fine. I ordered a passion fruit margarita and it was really sweet and really thick. I ordered the honey salmon and it too was really sweet. It could have used some salt and less honey for sure. The black beans were also just fine and plain white rise. My husband got fried fish tacos that also needed more salt. They too were fine. The beans with his dish were really good. The salsa was also good and spicy. All in all everything was fine but they same to be afraid of seasoning.

H W.

Yelp
Went one Monday with my MIL, my 2yo twins and 2 other adults. Our server Bailey was patient, pleasant and maid great suggestions. Food exceeded my expectations, I had the 3 enchiladas. Superb. Queso great! My blackberry margarita was good. My MIL swirl tasted a little off and seemed too boozy. They had salads and those looked amazing. Took note of daily specials, will definitely come back! Maybe a date night without the babies!

Bryant D.

Yelp
If I could give this place zero stars I would. My food took forever to come out and it was extremly cold. I asked could they take it back and they did and it was still cold. The smell in there was weird. It looked like a nice plate, but the service and food was terrible. I will never good back, plus the food was over-priced based on the quality.

Destiny F.

Yelp
Owners are rude, management is rude, food is mediocre. Wouldn't recommend. The place is old and dirty.

Sebastian E.

Yelp
I've been to this location once but usually go to the location in Sandy Springs, but they closed down. The food is pretty good and service is usually fast. There's never a long wait for a table and prices are good for the amount of food you get. Definitely recommend.

Samantha N.

Yelp
This is a go to with our family each week. The food is amazing every time (especially the Chicken tortilla soup) and the margaritas are On Point!!

Christopher E.

Yelp
I always love eating here. Lots of taco flavors you can mix and match. I giant burrito is delicious. Tasty cold beverages too.
