"Tomorrow, June 19, Nashville will be home to two outposts of Pat Martin’s Hugh-Baby’s, as the local pitmaster opens a second location of his fast food burger and barbecue joint on West End Avenue. Taking over the former Which Wich spot at 3001 West End Ave., the 2,500-square-foot restaurant will offer the same menu as the Charlotte Ave. outlet, which opened last August. So expect a variety of burgers, including the slugburger, a style of burger that Martin grew up eating in Corinth, Miss. and was made popular during the Depression, barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, and shakes. The only difference between the two locations is a lack of drive-thru window at the West End Avenue store, according to Nashville Scene. The burgers and barbecue start rolling at the Midtown location at 11 a.m. tomorrow. ONce open, this new Hugh-Baby’s will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m." - Erin Perkins

Hugh Baby's is a place that takes a genius to make. I've been to the Charlotte Pike location and now this West End location. This time I got the chili cheese dog and chili cheese fries. The chili was delicious and the fries were excellent. If you're looking for a good burger at a really good price, check out Hugh Baby's.

Very accessible from Vandy. Parking is in the back of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and came by our table twice to make sure everything was great. Make sure to get some Nashville Comeback Sauce for your fries! The coleslaw is homemade and a perfect balance of ingredients. This was my first visit but it won’t be my last!

Great new burger place. Great fast friendly service. It reminds me of on old burger parlor and in-n-out, while in a more modern vibe. It's fast, burger was juicy and delicious and shoestring fries were perfect. It even has a few spots of parking outside.

I got a chocolate shake, a veggie burger, and fries. It was very good! I was a bit disappointed in veggie burger, because it was bland and not as tasty as other veggie burgers I have had. The fries were very good! It was a little busy, but the service still wasn’t the best. Overall, it’s good place to stop for lunch or a quick bite!

We tried the cheeseburger, the veggie burger and the pulled pork sandwich. Overall the food is subpar: the sandwiches are small, the patties are ridiculously small, flat and overcooked. The fries are soggy and super salty. The bbq pork is ok but nothing to write home about. The veggie burger seemed extremely well done. The service was quick and super friendly.

Fresh but slow. Beef tasty but too thin. Fries to thin and cold. Bright decor. Contemporary burger joint. Limited parking. Busy for the number of tables. Burger meet ground fresh daily. Used ten napkins it was so greasy.

Loved this place. I expected it to be good, but it was even better than I expected. They grind their meat up daily in store and you can really taste the quality. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fries were fantastic too. The comeback sauce is so good on the burger and perfect for dipping fries in. I can't wait until they open one up in Hermitage/Mt Juliet area so I can go more often without a 40 minute drive. The staff was incredibly friendly too. One of the better experiences I've had at any restaurant. I'll be making repeat visits for sure.
