I got the rice with shaking beef. It was good, but the rice could have been better. I should have got the kale salad now. That's good stuff. We also got the wings and calamari. I like the lemon sauce. My boyfriend got the fried fish and fries.

I had a fantastic dining experience at a Vietnamese restaurant in the U.S., where the food was not just good but exceptional in flavor. The dishes were authentic, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned. I was greeted friendly upon entering. The waitress was prompt, and my food came out shortly just the way I wanted. Great prices too!

Hughie's has been a favorite spot of my family for a while. It can sometimes be a little awkward when we order because the four of us usually order the exact same thing...oops! The atmosphere is that of a lively sports bar and there are usually a decent number of people present. Despite this, getting seated immediately has never been an issue for us. They have a broad selection of beers that is sure to have something that will suit your taste. Their menu has a similarly large assortment of items. I have tried many and have not found anything I do not like. The stand out menu item for me is the shaking beef plate served with white rice and a kale salad. The beef is consistently cooked to perfection at medium rare and even though I am not a "kale person" I love the kale salad here. Hughie's is a great spot to go if you're looking for somewhere to catch a game or to grab a casual sit down meal and my family and I will be returning many times in the future!

For someone who loves rice, especially Asian rice, this place is the bee’s knees! Long grain, silky rice. I got their fried rice with tofu and each bite took me on a flavor adventure and I felt so satisfied. If I lived in Houston,I would make this restaurant a weekly habit. Highly recommend adding an egg to your rice dishes 👌 Kid friendly, I brought my 1 year old who made a rice mess, I tried cleaning up after but the staff was super nice about it and said don’t worry. Great selection of beers and wine here. Monday - Saturday has happy hour deals! Like 1/2 off wine glasses and $4 for select beers on Friday. Nice wooden interior decor makes the place feel homey but fresh.

Great restaurant! We will be back. The Shaking Beef, Salmon, Kale Salad, and Crispy Dumplings are all delicious! Large group and everyone enjoyed our food. Also, service is top notch, Seth was attentive and remembered all our orders and had no problem with separate checks.

Definitely kid friendly. The restrooms were clean. The food was great. They had an awesome kid menu they’re not pushing you to get out even though it does get full parking was a little tricky but the ambience and everything inside makes it worth it.
