Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House

This is hands down one of the best steakhouses in the area. The crab cakes were absolutely divine, I had the salmon with the glaze on the side that was the perfect balance. Jason the manager came around to check on us, very kind. Definitely worth a visit.

We all have this first-time experience. I have tried frog legs for a starter. It was delicious. Scott, the server, was very informative about the menu. The asparagus is a must-try.

First time trying this place last night, came for the steaks. Their porterhouse was phenomenal, I got medium rare and it was beautiful inside and out, perfect amount of juicy flavor. My boyfriend got their W.R Chicago Cut medium rare plus which I also tried, melted in the mouth but crunchy on the outside, he fell in love and he is a steak snob. We didn’t realize their steaks are from Gibsons and we’re in love with their steaks but decided to try Hugo’s and they made these surprisingly even better! Ended with their Crème Brûlée which was a perfect size for 2. We appreciated the option for booths at the bar section. Service was straight forward. Will be back soon!

The service is amazing. Hugo’s is a place that can be for a special occasion or for a quick bite but plan for a little pricier price point. The steaks and frog legs are out of this world. The ceasar salad with chicken is a must if you love salads. Save room for desserts so you can enjoy the chocolate mousse pie.

If you want your birthday celebration or dates to be memorable bring them to the best steak in Chicago! Went here twice for a birthday celebration and I loved the experience! Everything was sinfully delicious. All appetizers were flavorful. Steaks were cooked to perfection — i like mine medium rare or medium! We had the best desserts ever! Everything on our table were delightful! You wont regret coming here! 😊 😊😊 To the Owner you have a great staff 😊😊 our server was very fast, informative, clean , fun!! Kudos!!
