Usually i enjoy eating here. I have shellfish allergy and in the past they have been able to accommodate me. However this time they did not have clean spatulas available and it took over 15 minutes for them to wash some so it felt really awkward standing there while my family was eating with my bowls of raw food in front of me. When they finally were ready they undercooked my plate. Probably last time I eat there. Not worth the trouble.

I had a hard time finding sauces that I would want to eat. I went once. The food taste good with lots of options to choose from. But I'll never go again. Also long waits for food made it harder to eat and speak to my company. It seems we went through the line in a staggered way so by the time I was ready to sit down my company was ready to go through the line again. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience. This is actually the only time I've ever given a company a 2 star review.

We went here because we saw that they had gluten-free options online. My plate was dry but my husband's was good. They have weird rules because it's a buffet. We didn't realize that going in. We just went there because they had gluten-free options which didn't turn out to be the best in my opinion. You have to eat a whole bunch there to get your money's worth. They won't let you take anything to go. We wouldn't go back because we don't eat like that but it might be fun for a work party or something. The place could use some extra cleaning like others said. I did appreciate that the cooks cleaned off a spot on the grill to make my gluten free dish. There's a place similar to this where I grew up and they just do different sized bowls. That way, if you want a ton of food you can get an extra large bowl and take your left overs home if you can't eat it all. It also helps prevent food waste. I thought it was going to be like that. I get the buffet concept but I just don't think it works in this situation. Just my opinion.

Great food and great service! They offer a ginger soda which I found to be so delicious that I brought home my drink. They were slammed the day that we were there, even the manager was at the grill cooking up some food. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We just went there for our 13th anniversary. Heard good reviews so we decided to travel the hour to get there. Plated our food and sat down. It was really good, I ate most of my plate. My wife wasn't feeling good and had maybe 10 bites and couldn't eat. She asked if she could take it with her and they said no. Took her plate and threw it away. $20 bucks in the trash. Won't ever do it again. Ever!!

Amazing service!! First, the cooks are insanely skilled and they have great attention to detail. They noticed immediately that I had only vegetables in my bowl and asked if I was vegetarian without prompting and then treated it as a food allergy by assuring there was no contact with meat from spatulas and what not. It was not something I thought to request, but it was greatly appreciated! Servers are also very friendly and attentive.

Food is alright, some of the cooks look upset that they are cooking food and that energy is directed at the customers. Make sure you fill up your bowls heavily because some of the cooks arent easy with their spatulas and throw a good portion of your food on the floor when mixing it on the grill. Not alot of care for the customers when it comes to the chefs

Enjoyed this place several times. The food is always fresh and good. Service was excellent yesterday. I recommend it!

Lots of choices, all you can eat, quick and friendly service and a good price to wash it all down!

They burn tf outta our noodles, other than that it was great. The server was pleasant and the crab Rangoon was yummy, there's a moderate amount of ingredients. But again what good is that if the burn the hell out of it, I tried giving them a lot of broth with the noodles to see if I could get something edible back, he left the grill and we watched our food burn and he still served it to us. Heartbreaking!

I've been coming here with my kids for a couple years. Im very disappointed in the food. I don't normally leave bad reviews but whatever is going on with the grill is not good. Our food was burnt, as in crispy crunchy, not good kinda burnt. The center was untouched, and it seems like they have a lot of new cooks but the last few times my family has been here they have been here so i know that's not the case. My food was SPICY and I didn't put anything spicy on it. I can understand a little bit of mix from other meals, but this was definitely not that. The customer service was fantastic and the staff was all kind. Our waiter Derek was AMAZING. He's been our waiter a few times. Always on top of refilling our drinks and taking away plates.

1 Star I really wanted to like HuHot, but it was such a letdown. The food quality just wasn't there--everything tasted bland and overcooked, and the ingredients didn't seem super fresh. The whole experience felt chaotic, and the line for the grill took forever. On top of that, the cleanliness of the place wasn't great, which made me lose my appetite a bit. Definitely not worth the hype or the price. I won't be coming back.

A fun spin on all you can eat. You pick your own ingredients and they cook them hibachi style. Lots of options, including a variety of sauces to flavor or spice up your meal. Staff was friendly and very attentive, my water glass never went empty. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. Worth trying, at least once.

We've always had great service here. If there's several people in your party or you have big eaters, this is a great place to go. Also, they have a really good rewards program.

Food is made to order with a ton of good vegetables to choose from as well as tofu. They have frozen thin meat which I don't care to try but a fellow diner enjoyed the chicken. If you go for dinner or on a Sunday they also have eggs and more meat options and soup and salad are included. The sauces are varied and you choose what you want, including level of spice. They have suggested combinations if you're not certain what to do. We always use a few more scoops of sauce than recommended because it makes the food super delicious. Service is decent and atmosphere is casual. Never disappointed eating here.

Back to this place again 2 years later. I felt like it looked cleaner than last time the moment I entered. It was probably because we arrived a little bit before 6 PM so it was too early for it to get dirty. Most of my first impressions are still true at this visit. Lots of bowls at the food bar were wet and some had food debris in them. People constantly grabbed a bowl then realized it was a bit dirty then put it back and grabbed another one, which is a good way to spread germs. Food bars looked clean when I got there then got very messy and dirty as more people came. I still have the same comment about their sauce bar as 2 years ago. The shields are too low and the ladles are too long, which makes it very inconvenient to get sauces and prone to spills. As expected, when I went back for round 2, sauces got spilled everywhere on the counter by people. Sauces are still not spicy enough. I mixed several 6-7 spicy level sauces and my food was still not spicy. I did enjoy the food more this time and my friend felt the same, but I wish they had something different that's exclusive for dinner time. Otherwise, we might as well only come here for lunch. The staff were friendly and worked very hard. Our waiter was very nice. They deserve 5 stars.

No. The host was extremely sweet. But.. We were starving and came here at 9:00 pm. The chefs are mad creepy. The ingredients were kind of a wreck & the whole place has weird ambiance.

Went with my mom, we went through the line together but the cooks gave my food to some random lady who wasn't in line or didn't stay I her place, she didn't look and took my food. When the cooks gave me her food, I told them it wasn't mine and they did nothing ... they just let it sit there till the lady came back and got her correct food and she told them that she took mine, she didn't apologize and neither did the cooks, the cooks did nothing to make it right. There had been no line when we started but now the line was all the way around and I had to wait for my remade bowl for twenty minutes, the cooks did nothing. Also, our server didn't ask my mom (who had to sit alone for twenty minutes) anything, he never asked what took my food so long or anything! he never even checked on us, he'd just say "we cool" or "we chill" while walking pass ... so disappointing.

I used to really enjoy this place but after they renovated, it's like they hired new cooks and didn't train them. My food was straight burnt. All the sauce had been cooked out so there was no flavor but burnt noodles. Very disappointing. The cooks were trying to pile as many bowls around the cooktop as possible so all the food was mixing and they could not get back to them fast enough. I hope they figure it out because that was terrible enough to not return.

Food is what you make it, but stay away from the over-priced appetizers. The feel of the restaurant is fun and the service is quick when it's slow. The interior is smartly decorated, though fairly standard in the market it serves. Bottom line is there is much better Asian food in town.

My daughter has a very strict allergy diet and HuHot has treated her with superior service twice in the past 2 weeks! It is very exciting to have somewhere where she can eat out and have it be a "normal" experience.

HuHot checks most of the boxes for me. Is it the ritzy place to go to? Definitely not, but you're going to stuff your face with delicious food along the way. Eat your heart out with as much food as you can handle while you're there and pay the piper later that day. Go to lunch so you can be content about a life choice for hours on end. What's fun about the vibe and experience is all the broths and sauces at the end of the bar, and all the meats in the beginning of the bar. It was fun going in focusing on the teriyaki craving I had, while my friend was fixing the curry craving he had. Going back and loading up on the pad Thai craving was satisfying too. It's just a fun time, pretty great tasting ingredients throughout the whole bar, friendly staff, plenty of space, and I hear they really take care of families throughout the week with specials. Seems like a business I'd love to see continue to thrive in Spokane Valley. Now get a ladle and sauce it up!

Last minute lunch. Food selection is good but a good percentage gets wasted with all the clacking of paddles and flights of pieces gather on the floor or under the grill. Service was ok. What I don't understand was one menu for two people.

So I am not sure why I have not reviewed HuHot before now I have been here so many times and love it. I am giving a review of the combination of my visits not just my last because based on my last visit I would drop it down to a 3 due to the limited protein options compared to in the past.

It's been there for decades and always hit the spot! Prices are good, you have to pay for take out which they give you a huge bowl to put everything in (you'll need tons of sauce for the noodles or it may be dry) the drinks are wild, so many choices, just about every flavor coke/Pepsi/Ginger ale/lemonade and those fountain drinks are unlimited! I love ginger so I don't get the unlimited, I get the ginger soda with ginger slices in it! So good!!!

Best Mongolian food I have ever had great service and wonderful atmosphere always a great place to meet up with family and friends for lunch or dinner

HuHot is our favorite Mongolian Grill in the area. Though it can get busy at peak times, they have enough cooking staff to keep the line moving quickly. The advantage of it being busy is that the food is always fresh. Sauces are super flavorful so be careful how much you use. They probably could spend a bit more time cleaning up the sauce table since it does get messy. Also, the design of the table itself makes it very difficult to reach in to the center (probably leading to much of the mess-call me, I'll help you redesign it). There's a lot to love here. You get great food at a fair price. Friendly helpful staff in a very pleasant clean environment.

Food is great, service is usually fast and friendly, and ambiance is watching the grill with big flames when they clean it between orders. I love this place I can have phad thai chicken one time and mongolian beef the next time unlimited possibilities.

The server was very nice and attentive: the place was a little dirty for my taste. I was scared to eat any seafood. It looked like it had been sitting for a long time. Overall not bad, but didn't love it. Would I go back..? Maybe.

Good place to eat. You create the dish, it's grilled right before your eyes, so delicious and filling.

Always go here on my last day in Spokane on my way out of town, such a great place. Opens at 11am and they are ready to serve too! Thats usually when I show up. It is always clean and nicely lit, I like sitting by the windows and watching the traffic drive by. I have a baby and the bathroom is always clean, so I feel comfortable changing her in there.

Concept is good. Food is good. It's just pure chaos between the stations, so many people going through, cross contamination, handles touched after people touch raw meat, the sauce station was a mess. Can't saw we will be back. Perhaps if it was so busy and the stations were cleaner looking.

Finally a place with flavor. The veggies were crisp the sauces were flavorful and the atmosphere was relaxed. Now for all you novices out there, this place is a an all-you-can-eat buffet. By no means is it authentic and the prices are a little high but still reasonable for lunch and they do offer a military discount. The only thing I wish they had was a one trip that you can eat in the restaurant and not in a to go box. Other than that I will definitely stop in again.

When I first got in it was noisy and the staff seemed nice but was rushing to tables, and of course I went to my table, and the waitress noticed to me that food needed to have 6 to 7 scoops of sauce to be cooked. And you had to start at the end of the line looking down at the menu it was clearly very racist and dirty, when I went to fry my food the cooks were also very dirty and were losing food left to right, not to mention plates food tasted to greasy. Next time I want all of three above I will go to Panda Express

Mongolian is one of our families favorite outting... living in Spokane for 5 years, we had never eaten at HuHot Mongolian Grill..... Two words.... Dear Mama!!!! Even after I was full.... sadly I went back for two more plates, because it was that good! Their dessert items are amazing as well. Nice but "not too nice" ambiance, super friendly staff. Overall a great experience!

My "go-to" for AYCE. The AYCE aspect is important, and the quality of food is leagues better than the nearest Chinese buffet or American style place IMO. Selection is strong in both foods and sauces. They have an abundance of meats and veges, and will cook an egg with your order upon request. Handy guides and tips are posted for making sense of all the various sweet, sour, spicy, salty unami etc. sauces. They also have easy access to nutrition and allergen info. which is really important for some and to me just another sign that they care about customers. Service is predictably good and they are on-the-spot with refills and taking dirty plates. The manager also makes the rounds which is something I always notice and appreciate in a restaurant. They have a Coke Freestyle machine but you have to get it brought out by a server. Since you're tipping anyway, nows the time to get that Sprite Zero and Sunkist Orange with a splash of Fruit Punch. Atmosphere is warm and inviting and things are kept clean. They do get busy occasionally but the cooks are usually motivated by speed if not precision. Speaking of cooks, they pull some funky moves on that Mongolian Grill adding a theatrical element to the dining experience. Just watch out for flying eggshell.

A solid ok on this one. I love grilled food but this just wasn't anything special. My favorite part is definitely the sauces, but I could make the food more flavorful. This doesn't seem very Mongolian to me, but I don't know much about that. I just know it is a very Americanized situation in my opinion. They sat us and forgot us for a bit. Never brought my son's mac and cheese and the wait with social distancing to be in line didn't seem very sanitized. I mean people touch the handles of the serving spoons, and wait on the counters for their food, and the grill just was just dirty. I feel for the employees around a hot grill with no ventilation. If you are vegan, I would definitely avoid this as everything is cooked together and I don't know how they would accommodate it. My biggest issue is charging for to go boxes. The fact that we cannot take our food to go and they just throw it out or charge people for to go boxes is honestly a little unethical to me. They could let people use to go boxes for leftovers that we have already paid for and not have so much food waste.

Due to my daughter introducing me to this restaurant in SD my husband and I just ate at this one tonight :) Our waiter was Jeff and he was extremely nice and helpful with all my questions. Dinner comes with soup or salad and I ordered the Asian salad and omg it was so delicious!!!!! My only complaint would be you should be able to take home your leftovers, even if it's for a small additional price like Golden Corral does. I'm pretty small and the all you can eat is amazing it truly is. But one run up there is still to much food for me lol Still can't believe how long this has been here and I didn't even know about it. Now Hubby and I will have a new favorite place to eat :)

Not all Mongolian BBQ places are equal and HuHot is my favorite! I love that anyone can eat anything they want and for however much they want! They do a good job of restocking the ingredients, even during rush hour. Service is always good. Kayleigh (sp?) and Jeff were flexible with our unexpected change in party number tonight. Chris has been our server the last few times; very attentive! The sauces here are also one of the main things that make HuHot stand out; there's so many choices and they're good! For anyone with food allergies, if you let them know, they'll clean the grill for you and use freshly cleaned utensils to cook your food. Also side note, their rewards program is free to sign up and you get a free grill meal for your birthday. Holla!

Awesome! Delicious and fresh every time! So many options, all the veggies you could want, tons of protein and sauce choices and they have even recently added zoodles (zucchini noodles) in case you feel like low carbing it! The service is always friendly-- from the servers to the cooks; everything is consistently excellent. Definitely one of our favorite places in the Valley.

We came into huhot for lunch and I was treated poorly because I forgot a mask. They did offer me one for a dollar. I understand them wanting customers to wear a mask and I always have one with me but treating people like sh*t because they don't have one for whatever reason is unacceptable. I do not recommend and I will NEVER eat here.

Food gets burned here and tastes like charcoal because there's 10 waiters and only 1 chef. And the chef has to cook everyones meals all at once.

Where do I start?!? The service was A++++++ from DEREK. The food quality was awesome and several selections. They suggest you use 3-4 sauces and a total of 7-8ladles of sauce. YOU WON'T REGRET IT. I do 2 of khans favorite, 2 Yow!, 2 szechuan. They also have sherry, garlic broth, garlic oil, garlic chili sauce, HOT oil , sesame oil.... so many options! 3 kinds of noodles, several good meats, veggies like celery , bean sproit, jalapeno, cilantro, bell pepper, carrots, potato, mushroom, baby corn, omg more!!!! The chefs cook it very well too. There's alcoholic options, smoothies, teas, sodas, all kinds of yummies! By far the best mongolian bbq in Cali, Oregon and Washington. By far.

We went for the first time not knowing what to do or how it works. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is great. Highly recommended.

The service was PHENOMENAL! All of the ingredients and sauces were also so great! I would highly recommend this place when getting Mongolian! Jeff, our server, was on top of everything and super attentive!

This will sound petty but here I go, stopped in for quick Hu Hot togo, would you like a bag with that? Oh yes please... I pay, get home and realize Hu Hot charges TWENTY FIVE CENTS A BAG! That's 17 cents over the mandatory 8 cent charge dictated by the state. Had the host said, would you like a bag for TWENTY FIVE CENTS I would have declined. I know, I know, I should have triple checked for "extra pay" fees before signing credit card slip and leaving. I just felt had is all, it's only 17 cents but it's the principle. So leaving this here so y'all don't feel hoodwinked by the Hu Hot bag fee!! You got me Hu Hot but never again! Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! Oh and gotta do something about that cilantro floating around in the garlic oil and vegetables it neighbors at the veggie bar, it's littering everything and as much as I want to love it, it tastes like soap and ruins anything it touches for many of us.

I came to eat with my wife on a Friday evening. The place was packed and we waited about fifteen minutes for a table. Once we were seated our waiter took our drink orders and gave us instructions on how to prepare our food. When we went to prepare our food, I noticed that the meats were spilling into each other, pork spilled into chicken, krab spilled into beef it all looked very sloppy. If you have religious views on eating certain meats - you may want to reconsider eating here. The same thing was happening with the vegetables, spilling into each other. There were veges and meat on the floor. When you get to the sauces they are splashed everywhere along with a slippery mess on the floor. Speaking of sauces, there is a lack of instruction on the sauces when you get to the sauce station. We didn't notice the recipes until after we got our first plate. At other Mongolian grills I have visited had sauce suggestions at the sauce table making it easier to prepare a good sauce. I gave this place three stars because the place was really sloppy with food on the floor, sauce spilled everywhere, and I saw people using their hands to instead of tongs to put the food on their plate. I was also given the wrong plate of food and needed to point out their error. The food is standard Mongolian style food and hope they take some time to steward the buffet more.

My new boyfriend had never tried Mongolian grilling and i wanted to show him how cool it was. This is a plate yourself and watch them preform while cooking. Always an experience! And the food. Watch out or you'll go back through to do it again.

This isn't my first nor my last time visiting this restaurant. It's close local and not too expensive. The restaurant is very open and every time I have visited they have seated us right away. As soon as you sit down you have a waiter ask you what you would like to drink/ order. I personally have never ordered any appetizers because with all you can eat what's the point right? After four they start to offer soup and salad and it is included with their dinner option at no extra cost. I personally always get a side of white rice to have with my meal. As soon as you walk up to the buffet style table you can notice that this place isn't the cleanest. The plates usually have some poorly washed plates. You can most certainly always find some food on the floor, but what can you expect from a buffet? I usually find the cleanest plate before I continue. You get to choose your meats first which usually consist of chicken, pork, beef, or all of them. You also have an option of crab and your two noodle choices. The next section you have the vegetable selection, and last but most importantly the sauces. Since this food is cooked in front of you I have usually found the more sauce the better. Just find what you think you would like and fill 'er up! You walk over to the grill and they start cooking for you. You can also ask them to add an egg in the meal. They hand you the food on a new plate and you can just head over to your table and enjoy your meal! Very good selection, friendly staff, and it's fast!

I came here because the men in my life love Mongolian BBQ and I was just hoping to make a fried rice that I would actually like. Unfortunate I was disgusted when I arrived at the grill, the cooks were walking around so fast they were not keeping track of who's food was who's. They were knocking off people's meat onto the floor and mixing food from other peoples dishes. I had two eggs with mine, and they started to add my eggs into the meal next to mine and I ended up with the an egg from another meal on the other side of me. Then when I told them what they did, they took the egg and put it with a meal that didn't have egg at all. It was complete chaos!! They were not even paying attention. Thankfully they didn't charge me for my meal since I had meat and veggies in it I didn't even choose. Yuck! Never coming back here!

This place is downright repulsive. It is without a doubt the most filthy restaurant I have ever seen. Before you commit to eating there, walk around the area where you select your ingredients. If you make it past that point you are clearly dedicated, or really hungry and perhaps out of gasoline. When you see the food prep area, you will get it. Run before the botulism catches you. I always thought those Kitchen Nightmares shows were a farce, but I saw it with my own eyes tonight. We dropped $8 on the table to cover the beer I ordered and left as fast as we could.

I walked in with my father to eat and the cooks used the sauce I put down and waited for it to burn before mixing it as well as not cooking it through. I refuse to eat something like this. I am thoroughly disgusted and will not be back
