Great experience, food was very nice, relative young waiter so support on wine suggestion was suboptimal. We were seated next to the uncovered cheese table, which gave a strong smell, it was covered after request for a brief time. Overall nice, not exceptional.

Absolutely delicious and amazing staff! Would highly recommend. They even gifted us a bottle of wine because it was my birthday lunch. Food was excellent, you can see the chef is passionate and loves what he creates.

The food was truly amazing, a true fusion of Asian and French notes. The wines were excellently paired and the staff had a lot of knowledge about the menu and the ingredients. The only thing I would say is, since on that day they had had a crazy lunch serving, the staff seemed to be really rushing the courses. They could have provided a bit more time between the courses, it sometimes made the guests feel they had to rush when eating. So that would be my only feedback. Great concept of the receiving areas being separate than the restaurant itself.

You have to take the surprise menu. Every dish was amazing (great matching wines too) - good portion and superb flavor! Best of course was the local deer - out of this world!

Last minute accommodations were made by Huisje James for us, we couldn't be happier with the Chef's Table concept, and food experience. If you're new to fine cuisine or concerned with a potentially rigid dining experience, try this place out to breakdown any concerns you might have. The environment is warm and welcoming the staff are on point (meaning, like any star food experience you should "want for nothing" via the acute overview of the staff) Yet, Huisje James seemingly appeared effortless in their hard work as it should be. Start to finish, the intimate environment flourished as the dishes started to roll out combined with the endorphins catalyzed through well cultivated unique cuisine. A hidden gem, some might say, but I prefer, best kept secret. This place knows what they're doing and the need to prove anything cant be found here. They're grounded and extremely knowledgeable, the fact that casual perfection still exists in this day is heartwarming. I ended up purchasing a bottle of the favorite wine of the evening to remember the experience not that it was needed. Bravo Huisje James, keep up the good work! 🍽️💥 🧡 Last note: My wife was blown away when the entire restaurant stopped and paused for the May 4th Dutch remembrance of the fallen soldiers of WW2, being a proud Dutch woman her heart was won over right then and there. A gift from friends. Looked expensive but service was very Dutch. The chefs were lovely and attentive and their food was excellent. Not overly impressed with the wine menu (wijn arrangement); sommelier was rather snooty and assumed questions implied ignorance. Shame. Could have been even better.
