Yelp
I stopped by here a couple of days ago for lunch. We were at the Railroad Museum in Galveston around lunchtime when my wife pulled up Yelp to find somewhere to eat and came across the Huli Huli Hut. Since it was Sunday and there were plenty of TVs around the restaurant, you could catch almost any NFL game you wanted. Inside, the place had a laid-back, beachy feel with lots of colorful wall art, wood accents, and a large bar lined with taps and TVs showing the games.
For lunch on this day, I decided on the oyster po' boy. The menu offered the choice of fried, grilled, or blackened shrimp or fish, or fried oysters with lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce. Our food took a little while to arrive, but it looked good when it did. My sandwich had plenty of fried oysters, and they were tasty with a breading that carried a little bit of spice. The tartar sauce added some welcome moisture and flavor too. Finally, the fries were excellent, super crispy on the outside, giving each bite a nice crunch. My twins especially loved those and cleared their plates.
The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I thought our food was good, and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere while catching the football games.
