Humble Potato

I never knew I needed this kind of food in my life. The flavors here are awesome. It's American crosses with japanese and left me searching for how to make these delicious taste at my own house. They have numerous different kind of sauces all of them are unique and tasty in their own way. For dessert had a chocolate avocado shake. I had no clue those flavors worked together but it was fantastic. I got to enjoy all this while drinking a beer and watching Thursday night football! Chef Carlos is the man!

A place called Humble Potato really should consider adding seasoning to their tater tots. I mean, plain tots? Not even some season-all or something? I had the Japanese fried chicken, which was pretty good, but the sauce didn’t go with it. My husbands steak sandwich was pretty good, although a little small for the size. It was quiet in there and seemed cluttered and not the best place to sit and relax inside. We ended up on the back patio, which was better. I will say the staff were friendly and attentive, and did a great job. If I were already nearby, I might give it another try, but it’s not the kind of place I’m willing to drive to eat at.

I would love to give this place a 5, but due to the state of the restaurant and the burgers being just ok, I can't. We walked in, and there were boxes of supplies on the counter, bag of cleaning towels out, other boxes stacked against the wall, looked very messy, you walk through the prep/waiter area and passed the kitchen to get to the seating area in the back. It's no wall or partition separating the alley and trash area, so it smelled terrible and was really an eye sore that I didn't want to see while eating, so we went back inside and sat at the bar looking out the window. The bathrooms were really dirty. The burgers we ordered were ok, average at best. The service was great, though, so they have that going for them.

Just got the regular burger, added avocado, with fries. 22$ total including tax. Did not fulfill my craving of a juicy flavorful burger. Added avocado is not what is shown in the pictures. Without added sauce or ketchup — the burger with everything on it had no taste. Fries were good but a bit too salted.

Solid Japanese Fusion Burgers Ordered the Jack’D (employees favorite) & Kare Burger (curry gravy with egg). Each burger cost $18 and side of tater tots $5. Draft beer $8 and Wine $8. Overall a decent burger joint with good service. They have many options to try. They have draft beer and two tvs with sports on. They also have a back outdoor patio. I enjoyed my tots better than my burger. They were fried to perfection. I Would give it another try if I was in the neighborhood.

6 stars! The food, the service. The vibe is subjective. It gives New York or Chicago vibes in ways and (modern retro) 80s kid music vibes. May have just been "the day". Do not sleep on this! Everything we ordered was crisp, delicious, slightly peppery and ... Couldn't have been better. Go there. Give it all the stars. You're welcome.

We happened to go on a very slow day and we got casual, quick, and friendly service before we headed to the airport. Nice selection of local beers, canned sake, and some wines. Sweet back patio area! So the carefully structured bahn mi had yummy bread, fresh veggies, and nice fatty pork ($18). I chose the $20 Battle Royal burger. The server asked me if medium temp for the burger was okay, and I emphatically said yes. When it arrived, the burger patty was small and basically well done which was a tiny bummer but the fresh avocado and perfectly cooked & well seasoned egg on top made up for it. Entrees do not come with anything on the side so be prepared to order the crispy fries to share! The only reason I didn't go for the five stars is because due to the open kitchen and prep room/ dish pit being wide open for viewing, I didn't see any of the employees wash their hands or change gloves after adjusting personal hats or touching various surfaces; one guy even fist bumped a customer and then went back to work. The employees all looked like awesome people who I would definitely grab a beer with but they were a tad bit relaxed on the food handling safety aspect of a restaurant-- which isn't a deal breaker since I know exactly how back of houses operate but you would think that some attention to cleanliness would be adhered to with such a wide open kitchen. Come here for fun american/ Japanese fusion burgers & hot dogs, salads & curry and don't skip the local craft beer or imported sake!

Damn good food!!! The battle royal burger was ridiculous; I'm glad I bought two. After a night of fun it was still good even after being refrigerated! This place is a hidden gem but a little pricey. If you're in the area pop in grab a beer and enjoy and take an extra burger to go... You won't regret it!!!

If you're looking for good Asian food with a twist, Humble Potato is the place to go. Second time here (different location) and it still hit the spot. I came here for their burgers since it was delicious the first time, but got intrigued by their Banh Mi and decided to give it a try. And boy was I glad I did! The sandwich is packed with veggies and it's very refreshing. They also have beer which is always a plus. The new location looks a bit smaller from the outside but they have a big outdoor area in the back. It's a nice casual lunch or dinner spot! The staff have always been very friendly and it's nice to be greeted each time. Definitely recommend!

Food - I've only ever tried their classic hambaga but omg it was delish! Better than shake shack. And the fries are perfectly crispy with a soft and warm inside. A little pricey but the quality is there Service - super friendly and helpful staff. Ambiance - place is relatively small but it's decorated very nicely. There are hints of Japanese culture shown on the walls as well as a back patio if you choose to eat outside. Place is very clean and well kept.

I thought this was very strange restaurant. As a first time visitor to LA, I searched Yelp for a good burger place and the Humble Potato had awesome pictures and great reviews. Sadly, I didn't see anything appetizing on the menu and I ordered the most basic burger available because I am a basic white girl. We sat outside which was so cool because I saw a humming bird and enjoyed the foreign sight of palm trees. The waitress was nice but not attentive which was obnoxious but gave me more time to chit-chat with a friend I hadn't seen in over 18 years. I understand that there is a big cultural difference between Cali and the Midwest but I just wasn't ready for this odd "fusion" restaurant.

Lunch here for the first time; the steak sandwich was moist, flavorful, and something I'll come back for. Tried the steak sandwich and a bite of the burger, was more impressed by the steak sandwich than the burger but both were good. Parking was little limited but still found a spot close enough. Tried the sweet potato fries which were seasoned just right with salt. Inside or outside eating if you decide to dine in. Getting the food after ordering didn't take an absurd amount of time either thankfully

Humble Potato is always a good bet if you're in the mood for something deliciously unhealthy. I'm a big fan of their Hambaga...it's always perfectly juicy! Their sweet potato fries were perfectly seasoned as always. This was my boyfriend's first time eating here and he ordered the Yakiniku Sando which he really enjoyed. They have both indoor seating or a cute little patio out back whichever you prefer. Street parking isn't terrible. We found a spot less than a block away. Humble Potato is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Mar Vista area.

First time here, it was found by a friend on Yelp after our original lunch spot was closed. Lucky us! Service was perfect. It was not too busy and food was served quickly. We sat outside in their covered back patio. Everything on the menu looked really good but 3 of us ordered the KATSU KARE SANDO w/ yummy Japanese curry . 100% would recommend. The sandwich was big enough to share with the garlic fries unless you want left overs. The sandwich kept well for the next day. The restaurant is located on a Main Street - free/metered parking available with additional parking near-by for a short walk. Enjoy!

I didn't realize this was Japanese fusion until I walked in tbh, but that made their menu items much more interesting! They actually have a variety of items on their menu, going from garlic noodles, loco moco, hamburgers, sandwiches, etc. Very extensive! I brought my group of friends here and they were excited to see since everything looked pretty good! I believe they are more known for their burgers? So I went ahead and got the Jack'd and these garlic parmesan fries to share. For my Jack'd burger, I really liked how the bun was soft and crispy, the meat patty was also very juicy, and it was packed with flavor overall! I normally don't eat bacon, but the bacon on here was a really nice crisp. The overall burger was pretty good, but I wouldn't say it's sooo amazing. The meat quality was pretty standard, but I liked how all the ingredients they used were pretty fresh. The garlic parmesan fries were very nice and garlic-y. We all got different items, but it seemed like everyone also liked their dish! My friend next to me got the garlic noodles with katsu, and she said it was really oily and heavy. We also ordered kaarage to shared, but I wish it was more meaty than airy. The mentaiko (?) sauce was pretty nice! Overall, the prices are bit high here for what they serve, but I think that's also LA price lol. It's a great spot for big groups since there is an outdoor patio! It wasn't too busy when we came in for lunch. Parking was pretty easy since there were several free metered spots at the front.

First time visit and first time Yum! Decided to try this place and happened to visit when it was happy hour (5pm-7pm). #winning Had their "Umburger" happy hour combo, (substituted cheddar cheese for pepper jack). Upgraded my fries to garlic fries. Overall both were good. Burger was tasty. Despite being on the small side, it still felt the right bit of filling. I liked the sauce that came with it. It added the punch needed. Fries were perfectly cooked. Great flavor and crunch. Food came out quick but didn't taste rushed. $23 overall.

Came in for a quick bite about 30 min before closing and the employees happily let us eat inside. The chicken salad and yakiniku sandwich were both great but it slightly lacked the sesame flavor in the salad and the yakiniku sauce flavor that are reminiscent of the two dishes. Then again, this could be their own twist but I was looking for those flavors. Decent prices and food is made fresh to order. I would definitely return to try their other menu items.

Stopped in on a Saturday, got quick service with tasty food! I got the curry ramen and it was delicious. Potato tots were crispy and my friend loved the chicken wings. They have a front bar area and a back patio, both were nice, good for groups!

The place reminds me of a sports bar with basketball playing and high seats. The service was quick and the workers were chill. Had the smash burger for lunch and it was good; not sure if I would come again since it wasn't as filling for the cost.

Overall: 3.5/5 Was really excited to try this Japanese fusion restaurant, but a little bit disappointed in the food for the price. My friend and I each got a happy hour set which is $20 for a burger, fries, and a beer (we both got Calpico instead because we didn't feel like drinking). The fries were thick and crispy, but a little over cooked and I would have liked more for the price. The Obaasan sandwich was crunchy, but I was not a fan of the very strong ginger marinade of the chicken and the coleslaw on the burger added no flavor. It needed some pickled veg! My friend said their burger was just ok for the price as well. Overall I don't think I would come back to this cute lil spot for the food, but the service was very good and the employees were super friendly.

Came back here two years after our first visit, and it honestly was not as good as the first time. The restaurant was quiet around 6 on a Sunday night. The waitress we had was efficient and polite. This time, my husband and I shared the spicy obaasan and a regular burger, as well as tater tots and fries. The tater tots and fries were over cooked and the burger and spicy obaasan were mediocre.

Wow wow wow!! This unassuming little Asian-fusion burger-and-fries spot indeed looks humble. So much so that I have been passing by it for a couple of years and never tried it. That is, until last night. Holy cow, I have definitely been missing out!! The food and the service were both exceptional! Boyfriend and I ordered the garlic Parmesan fries, the Obaasan sandwich, and the Kokubaga sandwich. The food was so hot and fresh off the grill that I literally burned the roof of my mouth biting down into my delicious fried chicken sandwich, but it was immediately cooled by the yummy Asian-flavored slaw. Totally worth it!! Boyfriend devoured his pork sando in about two minutes flat and said it was delish - it disappeared so fast I'll have to take his word for it, ha ha. We both enjoyed the order of crispy garlicky fries, which came with both ketchup and an Asian spicy mayo. Super happy with our dinner choice, and only sorry it took us this long to discover this little gem of an eatery!! We will most definitely return because there are so many other delicious and interesting-looking choices on the menu. Thank you, Humble Potato!!

Got their chicken sandwich (spicy obasaan) and their burger(battle royal) and both were phenomenal. Even with door dashing my order (and it not being fresh out of the oven), I still say it's a place that I look forward to trying more often. Pretty diverse/interesting menu and I'd easily recommend both things I got. Nice little gem of a spot in western Culver City. Their edamame was a bad choice for to go but in not gonna fault them for my bad pick. They still tasted good just were kinda soggy by the time I got em.

Word of warning I was in the bathroom and they had literally no soap. If I hadn't already ordered I probably would have walkee out because that's worrying I got their 20 dollar beef sandwich and it was...ok. Definitely not worth 20 plus tip and needs some sort of sauce or something and was a little bitter.

The food was delicious! Loved the sweet potato fries - nice and crunchy and the dipping sauce was delicious; the staff were flexible about serving me a bahn mi sandwich without the bun.

Large burgers bursting with taste! And the fries were incredibly crispy, making me want more, even the kids enjoyed them. I'm eager to return and explore other items on the menu, but for now, I'm content with just the burger and fries. I've already made plans to return and order a variety of items.

Everything here was amazing. We tried a variety of dishes and everything was executed perfectly. My recommendation is to share plates so you can try as many items as possible because I couldn't decide which was my favorite. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Cute atmosphere with a good view of the kitchen inside so we could see them preparing our food. Great happy hour deals too if youre there during the week.

Yelp category for this spot should be adjusted. It's more of an Asian-American fusion than an American burger/sandwich spot. I mean sure, they serve burgers and sandwiches, but there's a lot of Asian fusion going on here. For example, kare fries (or curry fries) and sapporo beer? Also, just look at their interior design. There are just so many signs they're going for some Asian blend. That said, I wasn't the biggest fan of their recommended/distinguished menu items. It's like bringing two good things that don't work together going so well and sort of destroying the integrity of each. I'm not here to roast, but as someone that grew up each both American and Asian dishes, the combinations do not work. For example, curry and fries? It's like adding salt to a salty dish. Curry is normally served with rice and and it can be served with an egg to level out the saltiness, but this... I'll leave it there. My friend and I like burgers and beer, so we came here only to be surprised. None of the items we had struck gold, but it wasn't inedible. Also, the place is called Humble Potato - are they proud of their fries? I don't see any of the items highlighting their potatoes on the menu. Overall, very misleading spot. Not convinced I'll come back.

Not much to write. I'm a nurse and I made an order to takeout for lunch. After a busy day of working I noticed they cancelled my order pretty close to when I wanted to pick it up. Ended up starving that day.

Enjoyed the Tempeh Salad and friend had the Parmesan Fries Obaasan & Sm Yuzu Salad Humble Potato . The food and ambiance is always pleasant . The restaurant has a big backyard sitting and is quite spacy .

Wow, this was a great find. I'm a huge fan of curry and theirs did not disappoint. I got a double dose with the curry fries too - I had to get potatoes right? - and they were scrumptious! Will be back!

I wanted to like this place.. I really did but my Poku Baga was just so flavorless! My friends and I came on a Friday night and we were seated right away as there is a lot of seating in the back. Vibes were cute and cozy and her server was SO friendly. She took our orders at a good pace, and our food came out super quickly. So in reality it's a +1 star for the service. We got the garlic parmesan fries and the karage because of the happy hour deal, and these were really solid apps (although the karage was overpriced for how small it was). The main dishes, meh. I got the Poku Baga and it looked so good (pictured), but it barely came with any pork belly or flavor. Every bite felt like bread and coleslaw with a small amount of meat. Sad... My friend got the Hambaga, and she said it was OK but for the price without fries? Your best deal is probably at in n out. In conclusion, food mid, prices pricey, but service amazing.. ‍

I used to go to The Humble Potato in Westchester (near LAX) at 8321 Lincoln Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045, but started coming to this location in Culver City. The Westchester location is still open 'tho and gives me 2 options for what I call DESTINATION DINING where I would make it a special trip and go out of my way to come to The Humble Potato as part of my plans. I read some other Yelp reviews about this place and found it odd. I always take Yelp reviews with a grain of salt as they tend to be biased towards complainers and those with a low amount of reviews on Yelp who use it to just bitch and moan, the type who you can never satisfy and you look at their history of reviews and it's riddled by bad complaint reviews yet these are the same people who never take the time to write nice reviews when they get good service or a nice experience. WIth that, this review sort of dispels some of the unwarranted comments that don't seem justified. The food here is extremely well priced for today's restaurant experience with fresh cooked to order food that isn't a cheap franchise/chain nor fast food joint. When you get a burger here it's a gourmet experience not something like Five Guys, In N Out, McDonalds, Shake Shack and other overcooked, salty and greasy burger joints. THE HUMBLE POTATO offers unique burgers you can't really find at other places. Their menu has 8 different burgers to choose from. The Average meal will cost you $15-20. If you go to McDonald's a meal will cost you about $8-12, so for the incremental price difference you get healthier fresher food and larger portions, so it's a better option and decision to come here in my opinion. I love their KATSU DOGGU, a curry hot dog that's panko crusted. It's pretty unique. There's something for everyone here... Burgers, Hot Dogs, Rice Plates, Salad, Sandwiches and you can even create your own Asian Tapas styled meal with their side dishes and appetizer small bites. My family loves this place because we all have different preferences (we're kind of selective, aka picky aka fussy) yet here at The Humble Potato we all each have our favorites and a lot to choose from so it's not always the same dish (although my wife loves their Battle Royale Burger as well as the Bahn Mi, where I like the basic Hambaga and the Katsu Doggu, then my son usually gets the Obaasan Chicken Sandwich or oddly enough, as a kid loves their Salad... as well as the Popcorn Chicken and Kare Fries) We often take out of town visiting friends here because it's such a unique experience. The worst part of it is that everything on the menu looks so good, you wish you could order everything and try all of the wonderful dishes!!! As a local, fortunately I have that option, but my brother in The Bay Area always asks me to take him here when he visits and he vows to try something different every visit. He's enjoyed everything so far, some more than others and his go-to repeat has been Poku Baga because he can't find that anyplace else as good as the marinated pork belly here at The HP. He even asked me to bring him a few when I visit The Bay Area for him to freeze for the future and eat one as he picks me up from the airport. I highly recommend The Humble Potato. This location as well as the one in Westchester are equally awesome I think the Culver City has a slightly bigger menu, but all of the greatest fan favorite dishes are at both locations. The service and staff are really friendly. In Hawaii, we'd call it the "Aloha Spirit" where you feel sort of treated like family as you enter and graciously appreciated as you leave. The place is hip and clean too, so has a really nice ambiance to it. This location has OUTDOOR DINING so you can appreciate the year nice 'round California weather any time of day Parking here is easy if you know the area and are sometimes willing to walk a block or so if you desire that free residential neighborhood parallel parking option when it's a busy time of day.

I have had in my Lifetime at least 10,000 hamburgers from all over the world and what I had today was absolutely amazing! I'll definitely drive 50 miles again for this incredible connoisseur burger! And the glasses of red and white wine were exquisite paired with their tasty fries! A must try for your foodie bucket list ! My GF swore by this place and now I definitely do ! Jack'd Burger with Garlic Parmigiana Fries with Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay!

What a find. A small and friendly place with a deep menu. Too many to list. Short but good beer and cider offerings. I had the double patty with curry and rice. Just outstanding period. My wife had the Hambaga Buger that she loved with the garlic jam. 10/10 all the way. Come here and eat !! We will be back

What a wonderful find! Tucked away in West Culver in a small strip mall this tiny place has an amazingly tasty menu! Our first time here and we both went for burgers. My companion had the Hambaga, which was just great for her smaller appetite. The garlic jam was really interesting and tied the whole burger together. I went fully crazy and had the Battle Royale, a burger/bacon/egg combo that was ridiculously good - and a bit messy! I went full Bluto and pressed the whole thing down enough to take a few bites (with yoke running from the bottom), but a fork/knife might be better for the timid. Primal and oh so good! We skipped the parm fries and went with the straight plain ones, which were respectable and had a side of sriracha ketchup as a kicker. Parking is easy - either on street or there is a small lot across the street with about 15 spaces and a few steps from a crosswalk. It's normally a city pay lot but it was free when we went there (machine broken). Easy in and easy out. Looked at a few other items at adjacent tables and everything looked good. My choice next time is going to be the Chicken Katsu with Kare. Great place.

This place is sooo good! It is a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. I typically order the Grand Royale which is AMAZING! This last time I went I decided to try the Shichimi Garlic Parmesan Fries and I'm so glad I did. These are a must! Nothing like I've ever had before. I've also tried the Spicy Obaasan before but it just wasn't for me. I did notice the protein portion of the burger was smaller than the last time I had it. They have great hangover meals!! I will definitely be back.

Small eatery that serves up yumm American grub with a Far East twist. I quite like Humble Potato's recipes and flavours. The very kool generous manager-- reminds me of a Japanese Hawaiian bruddah-- let me sample a couple teas. House-brewed Jasmine iced tea is sweet, but not too much so, and thoroughly refreshing. Tamago Sando is a brunch-y, tremendously tasty take, on an egg sandwich. Cheddar melting on caramelised onion, sunny egg, avocado, applewood-smoked bacon, hash browns, tomato, HP Sauce on a toasted bun. There's just something lovely and nicely spicy about the HP Sauce, a British staple condiment.. really perks up the rest of the sandwich. Not to mention, a coincidental match to this place's initials. The hash brown patty and crisp tomato slice were about as big as the bun. Yolk was perfectly runny, and the bun halves are buttery delicious. And the bacon oh the bacon, it is suupaa-excellent. Would totally order this again. The Humble P hangs Japanese pop culture paraphernalia on the walls and sports a ware-house industrial hipster-y vibe. You'll find limited counter single seating in front room, or head to the back quasi-patio, which has several tables. Great spot for lunch or early supper. Humble Potato also does a comprehensive catering menu. Extra star for being funky, non-corporate-chain and original. Places like this deserve all the support and business, especially times being what they are now.

Humble Potato is Fire. I love the Battle Royal Burger. I got everything on it as we ate here. My first time coming here, and I was impressed with the food and restaurant. Menu choices are big, so come with an appetite. Nice people and restaurant. We will be back.

What a fun place and it's in the neighborhood! We tried the Banh Mi and the Obasan fried chicken sandwich. They were delicious! We were able to dine in contrary to online that stated that they were only offering take out. Service was good but we were the only ones there. They are worth visiting. The ambiance is nice a casual. I used their facilities and the paintings of Godzilla were fun. They have a happy hour too. We will try that next time. Their menu just needs one thing-their story.

Go here! Just go here! I could simply leave it at that but then you be deprived of my poetic and (at times) prophetic prose! ;-) I knew I was in for a treat when the sweet potato fries came out crunchy, perfectly salted with a dipping sauce that packs a punch! See, my buddy Boomer has been recommending this place to me for years. Well, I finally stopped in and boy was I happy! I ordered the Spicy Obaasan. An explosion of beautifully balanced flavors and textures! Mind blowing!! Great service!! Suffice it to say that I will be going back to try everything on the menu. Go there. Just go there!!

Are you in the mood for American food but also are craving some Japanese flavors, then you must go to Humble Potato! Firstly, adorable name and branding. Love the design aesthetic! Secondly, what fun twists on American classics. I had the spam musubi baga, which came with the medium cooked burger, grilled spam, bacon, a crispy hash brown, cheddar cheese, avocado, a fried egg, and HP sauce. All around great mix of flavors and textures. Loved it! I also got the shichimi garlic parmesan fries. Be forewarned that this is heavy on the garlic, but if you're a lover of togarashi like I am, then you'll want to order it. I look forward to trying more of their creative dishes in the future!

They have the best sweet potato fries! Perfectly crispy, not too thick of a cut and salty flakes that bring out the sweetness. The Hambaga was a little dry but would seriously just come back for the fries and kind staff.

Super creative Japanese/American fusion restaurant that does things RIGHT! The food selection here is amazing, Japanese influenced American food with maybe a dash of southern influence. Server was super kind and showed us the menu, we ordered the Obaa San burger combo happy hour meal (20$ for beer fries and a burger, a steal!) and yakiniku sandwich. Both were delicious. The chicken patty was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with generous seasoning and the fries were perfect with an extra sweet tomato and chipotle mayo sauce. I washed it all down with a Sapporo, can't go wrong with that. Highly recommend this place in Mar Vista!

Simply put, the food here is savory beyond belief. If you like it on the spicy side, you'll enjoy most everything on the menu. And the service was prompt and friendly.

I recently had the opportunity to try some French fries with Japanese curry and egg on top, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride. First of all, the fries were crispy and delicious, as you would expect. But then things got really interesting when the Japanese curry and egg were added. The curry added a rich and flavorful depth to the dish, while the egg added a creamy and gooey texture. It was a truly unexpected and delightful combination. In terms of presentation, this dish was definitely a show-stopper. The golden brown fries, bright yellow curry, and gooey egg yolk made for a colorful and Instagram-worthy masterpiece. Overall, I would say that this dish is not for the faint of heart. It's a bold and adventurous flavor combination that will definitely surprise and delight your taste buds. But if you're feeling daring and want to try something truly unique, give these French fries with Japanese curry and egg on top a try. You won't be disappointed (or at least I hope not). So, it was a great culinary experience for me.

First time checking out Humble Potato coming in direct from LAX waiting for a friend. This place is awesome for going solo or with a group. Staff was very friendly and provided good recommendations on food/drink options. I will say I was there during the heat wave so it was a bit warm there sitting inside. They also have a back patio which is spacious for group settings. Can order at the counter or table service. I had the Yakinku Sandwich along with some tater tots. A damn near perfect sandwich: Tender rib eye steak with a teriyaki type of glaze, cheese melted to perfection, and the bread was phenomonal. Garlic butter on the roll I would bathe in, and the scallions and grilled onions was a great compliment. Tator tots were quite good and I ran them back after I got my second beer. I was given 3 different sauces/aiolis to try out with varying degrees of spice. Humble potato is awesome and look forward to hitting next time in the Culver area.

Wow. The potatoes in this burrito are PERFECTLY crispy on the outside and floffffyyy on the inside. They have spicy creamy sauce that's so tasty. I got the crispy home fries, also a perfect crisp potato moment. The coffee was fire too.

Incredible food and service best coleslaw I've ever had in Los Angeles.. I love slaw. The curry out of this world delicious! The burger & fries.. yall of the many options available this is the spot. Thank you Greg & team! Humble potato was highly recommended we try before heading out ! Every bite was Delicious! Exceptional service. We will be back!!!

This spot is a low 4 for me, and probably not worth the high price point. It's a very small hip and trendy American/Asian fusion type hamburgers-and-beer bar that has small portions with high quality ingredients, decent-not-amazing flavors, and a pretty high price point if you want to pay for a burger and fries combo and a drink. I was so excited to to try this place! Super big fan of asian flavors and who doesn't love exciting potato options? Walking in the decor is fun and artsy, even if the place is smaller than I expected. The service was nice and really helpful about the menu items, especially for first timers. The menu had some fun options to try without being overwhelming. Unfortunately, it's just not special enough for me to want to come back. The overall flavor for the food we tried (Koke Kokko, a plain lettuce tomato cheeseburger no sauce, regular fries, and garlic parmesan fries) isn't anything truly outstanding. Crazy of all, its potato dishes weren't special at all despite the restaurant name "Humble Potato." I don't know, dude, when you go to a cool Asian potato/burger place, pay a pretty steep price for small portions that aren't outstanding, for me I probably wouldn't recommend it. If they can just adjust their flavor combos to be better and make the potatoes stand out with better/more special flavors, I'd definitely change my tune.

We were looking for a unique spot for dinner and came across here. We were really intrigued by the creative burgers and ended up getting the Jack'd burger and Poku baga. The Jack'd burger was great, however a little pricey. I wasn't a big fan of the Poku baga because there wasn't a lot of meat and I didn't really like that it had a little burnt taste to it. The wonton crisps were a nice touch though! The tater tots were really crispy, delicious, and great for a personal side. Overall a good experience and would definitely come back to try other items on the menu!

The restaurant was extremely dirty. dirty dishes piled up everywhere. slippery floors from grease. Bathrooms filthy and no soap. the walls of the inside counter were so dirty and if you peaked inside the kitchen, it's worse. our food took forever and it was burnt! my son's cheeseburger patty was chard. they for the lettuce and the ketchup we asked for and they brought it later after the food was brought to the table. Our sweet potato fries were burnt too. we asked for new fries and they either brought back the same fries or burned them again. my sandwich was as dry as the desert and my husband's burger was well done. He asked for medium rare. The waitress never brought our check even after we asked for it and we had to walk out to go get it. Worst service ever! will NEVER come back! Food was whack and place is dirty.

Really unique twist on your standard american food! We ordered the shichimi garlic fries, battle royal burger, and the market salad. we really enjoyed the garlic fries! the burger was good itself just really messy. would try the original hamburger because we were really curious about the garlic jam the battle royal mostly tasted of the extra ingredients (which is still really good!). the market salad was good. loved the way the greens were cut/shredded and the toppings and amount of avocado given was also great. the dressing was a bit bland but definitely a good start. presentation of the food was pretty as well. A bit on the pricey side for some items, but we enjoyed it overall. For ambiance, I was drawn to the outdoor patio in the back. Nicely shaded, and also decorated! Our server was really nice and very attentive! Can't wait to try other items.
