"A standout addition to McMinnville’s Third Street, Jackrabbit alum Brett Uniss has been turning out polished but unpretentious farm-to-table plates since Humble Spirit opened in July 2022. He’s now partnering with fellow Portland culinary expat Sarah Schafer, growing the culinary arm of the emerging Yamhill County-based hospitality company called the Ground. Humble Spirit’s food is elegant yet relaxed with an eye towards the omnivorous. Go for pasture-raised beef or pork from sibling businesses Tabula Rasa Farms and Source Farms; or a plate of beautifully executed handmade pasta with local sungold tomatoes, sweet corn, or whatever else happens to be in season. Its weekend brunch is also among the best in the area. Humble Spirit’s dishes read as rustic but are full of pleasant little surprises and elegant technical touches that make it a joy to dine there." - Emily Teel, Rebecca Roland

"Humble Spirit, the new downtown McMinnville restaurant that opened in mid-July, is, at its heart, a farm-to-table restaurant. All the buzzwords are there: seasonal, small-batch, local, sustainable. These aren’t new ideas in Oregon wine country, where the changing menus at the area’s best restaurants — Mac Market, Pizza Capo, Red Hills Kitchen, the Painted Lady — all exemplify how local and seasonal sourcing impacts culinary creativity." - Emily Teel

So good, had to come back twice! The service is impeccable- staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The Sunday chicken dinner is amazing, as is the Saturday brunch. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the salty and sweet balance was perfect. The squash hazelnut dish is incredible. This is cooking and hospitality at its best!

Absolutely, beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, unfortunately, we did not have a great experience with the food and drinks. One of our cocktails was extremely bitter (maybe should’ve sent it back actually, but that didn’t occur to us at the time). The charcuterie plate was very nice, unfortunately the halibut was just the fish with not much on the side so it was not very much food really, but was $47. Wish we had known that it was the kind of place where you needed to get a lot of sides, but that is surprising for that price. After this meal, we went to the dive bar down the street and got a burger and tots because we were still hungry. Maybe we should’ve eaten more earlier in the day, or again understood more about this portions! By the time we got done with our halibut, we were sort of done with this lovely formal place and ready for something else.

Came here for the weekend brunch and it is well worth planning a weekend around! Started with the donuts and had the breakfast sandwich as a main. The donuts were so fresh and perfectly textured, tasty chocolate on one. The breakfast sandwich was full of flavor and had a little extra to it with the relish. I will certainly be returning for a dinner! Reservations are recommended.

Went to humble spirit and really enjoyed the food and service! We got the fresh and pickled vegetables to start which was FANTASTIC. The Ceasar salad was delish and unique as well. We shared the chicken, burger and the stuffed pasta and all were good but I think the chicken and burger stood out. We also got the homemade Oreos which were amazing! Would definitely come back! The only kind of weird thing was they only have a 5 minute grace period. I feel like standard is 10-15 and especially at a place where parking isn't super easy 5 minutes is tough!

[gluten free review] Here’s the deal. Double cheeseburger, fries. Forget the gf bun- go lettuce instead. If your comrades are gluten eaters, they’re going to go for it. The bun and all. The fried chicken is good if you’re there on a mon/tues. DONT SKIP THE ROASTED VEGGIES. This is a winner every night. For those deserving of a sweet treat, the ice cream flavors are interesting and also delicious- but the real winner is the TRFO. even if you scrape some of the middle off and don’t eat the cookie (gf-ish) they’re worth it. Their line up of local and imported selections for wine are extensive. My favorites of the list are are Corallary bubbles, and Ken Wright Hirschy Pinot noir. Whether you’re after a full dinner or you are just looking for a cocktail or brunch spot, humble spirit will be a favorite in McMinnville and continues to be a top of the list selection for me!

Humble Spirit is an absolute gem in the heart of Willamette Valley. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality from the incredible staff, who made us feel right at home. The farm-to-table experience here is truly something special. Every dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients straight from the sustainable farm at The Ground, and you can taste the quality and care in every bite. The flavors are vibrant, thoughtful, and beautifully balanced, celebrating the best of what the land has to offer. The ambiance perfectly complements the food—rustic yet refined, with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay all evening. It’s clear that everyone here is passionate about their craft, from the kitchen to the front of the house. The wine list showcases some of the best the region has to offer. To end the night I had an incredible Italian desert wine that they paired with the crumble and it was perfection. Shout out to O’Malley for the recommendation. We left not only satisfied but genuinely moved by the dedication and vision behind this place. Can’t wait to come back and experience it all over again!

When I say the albacore confit from Humble Spirit is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life, I mean it is the most delectable symphony of texture, flavor and mouthwatering magic my tongue has had the pleasure of tasting. Service, vibes, food 10/10, no notes.

This place is awesome! The staff are all really nice, and the food is so delicious! The rotating menu with locally-sourced food is fun. We had the pork belly with roasted hazelnuts (mohthwateringly good), the meatballs, the cheese plate, the current special of roasted chicken, drinks, and the wine-roasted pear. All were incredible.

Yelp
Our first visit to Humble Spirit was on a whim on a Friday. The restaurant is on the smaller side and they were full with reservations, but kindly offered a seat at the bar. We took it, and happily as their bar counter is absolutely stunning! I think it might quartz and while I normally prefer table seating, I'd happily imbibe in a meal at that gorgeous bar anytime. We've since returned several times and can wholeheartedly recommend anything in the menu. If you need somewhere to start, though, the cheeseburger (which sure, might sound a little boring) is my husband's favorite and sure to please anyone, not to mention the fries are thin, crispy, and the epitome of fry perfection. My favorite dinner dish is the albacore confit. It is fresh, satisfying and filling, without being heavy. And the scallion mayo?! Yum! They also make in house soft serve ice cream in a varying rotation of flavors, which sounds so dreamy, but we are always too stuffed to try it! Lastly, I generally go for boring water, but my husband loves their Bloody Mary and most particularly the old fashioned made with pork fat washed bourbon. They offer brunch Saturday and Sunday, and this is a great time to try out Humble Spirit. We've never needed a reservation if we arrive first thing, and you get to have possibly my favorite item they serve, the donuts! Now, I love sugar, but donuts don't tend to be my desired vehicle for sweetness. That is, until I met Humble Spirit's incredible rendition. I am a chocolate gal always, but I honestly cannot choose between the rich dark chocolate and the cinnamon sugar variety. Both are not too sweet, served warm, and guaranteed to knock your socks off. The few times we've had brunch and skipped the donuts I've regretted it. Do yourself a favor and order both. The corned beef hash is also exemplary (those crispy potatoes?! I could eat a whole bowl of them alone!). Service is chill and friendly. Prices are average for a nicer spot and absolutely worth it. Parking is only available on the street. I tend to avoid parking on third and utilize the lots on 2nd, but for brunch you can sometimes get a spot right out front.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for Humble Spirit, and was excited to snag a dinner reservation here during a visit from Portland. Unfortunately, both the food and hospitality left me very underwhelmed. We started with the shrimp rolls, which were tasty, but no different than something you'd get from a lobster roll-type food truck. For our main, we split the cheeseburger, which was quite greasy and overcooked, and came served with basic McDonald's style-fries. We also tried the Blue Lagoon and old fashioned cocktails, which were similarly underwhelming. My boyfriend and I split our $74 bill evenly, so I was surprised the next day when I looked at my credit card and saw a charge for $87. I assumed I had been accidentally charged for the full meal, and after attempts to call and rectify the situation, I ended up going back to the restaurant in person. When the manager (?) pulled up my receipt, I saw that a $50 tip had been added to my $37 bill. Clearly, a 135% tip is not something I could have accidentally selected on an iPad, and my credit card shows my original charge was $37 excluding tip, so unfortunately I believe this was altered by someone at the restaurant after I paid. While I was refunded the difference, I was honestly very off put by how nonchalant the employee seemed about this shady transaction, and there was no further attempt to investigate or make the situation right. Ultimately, there are better spots to eat in the Willamette Valley -- and if you do decide to dine at Humble Spirit, double check your credit card statements.

Yelp
This is a quaint little restaurant. This was my second time to eat at the Humble Spirit. A friend and I were in town to celebrate my son's birthday. It has a small menu with excellent choices. We had appetizers, the daily special, cocktails, shared a bottle of wine and dessert. Everything was delicious. The staff is amazing. Really I can't say enough good things about them. They were all great and very attentive. I started with the Lavender Lemon Drop - really tasty especially if you like lemon drop martinis. We ordered two appetizers - Hazelnuts and Pork Belly. The hazel nuts were roasted to perfection and even though I'm not a fan of pork belly the way this was prepared made it delicious. The Garden Vegetables were fresh and I especially loved the radishes. I had the Whole Trout as my entrée. While it's cooked a lot different than we cook trout in the south I found it to be delicious. The herb salad really added to the flavor. My son had the special which was duck. He loved it. For dessert we had the rhubarb ice cream. The rhubarb wasn't over bearing, just a slight taste which made it really good. If you're visiting or if you live locally, give this place a try. You won't walk away disappointed.

Yelp
Ooooo weeee this place is amazing. I ordered the albacore confit and it was refreshing and flavorful. Perfect for summer. I also ordered the Albariño verde wine and it paired perfectly with the meal.

Yelp
My search for a great local restaurant led me to Humble Spirit, and it exceeded my expectations! After asking a local for recommendations, they enthusiastically suggested this place, praising both the food quality and reasonable prices. We sat at the bar, and our experience was made even better by the warm hospitality of our bartender/server, Anthony. His friendly nature made us feel welcome and we chatted with him and the other local patrons around us. We fully enjoyed the farm-fresh trout. The goddess dressing and flavorful greens elevated the dish, making it one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. We also enjoyed the cavatellis, which were served in a smallish portion, even though we had ordered the large size. Although it was delicious, the squash and sage butter sauce left us wanting more food. We ordered two wonderful desserts - one with homemade Oreo cookies paired with unpasteurized milk from a local farm, and the other a pear brulee with creme and cookie crumble. The pear brulee, in particular, stood out with its fresh, sweet, and perfectly balanced flavors. I highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
Overall good experience with excellent service. Fried chicken was very good but served on Monday and Tuesday only. The double burger was ok, a bit overcooked for my taste but I didn't ask for "pink" or medium rare so can't be sure if it's my fault for not asking. The mixed Chicory Caesar salad was a bit different but we liked it. Pinot Gris was good. Sparkling Pinot noir was also good, but a tinge sweet. Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive. There was a large table next to us that was quite loud but I imagine the place is quieter normally. We'll give it another shot next time we're in town on a Monday or Tuesday!

Yelp
We were very pleasantly surprised by this place!! We didn't know anything about it, we were walking by and snagged an outdoor table. The menu had a good amount of options - not too many and not too little. Based on the menu we could tell they use fresh seasonal ingredients so we were happy to see that. We ordered the Oregon Bay Shrimp rolls, whole trout, roasted half chicken, and a side of fries and cauliflower. WOW!! we were blown away at how fresh and delicious everything was. We almost felt like we were somewhere In the south of France. All of our food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We couldn't even pick a favorite. Next time you are in McMinnville, definitely come here and enjoy!

Yelp
Came back for another visit. The carrot salad is amazing and the pumpkin seed pesto is super interesting and fun. All sorts of celebration of the carrot. Albacore confit had wonderful colors and flavors with every ingredient contributing. Imagine a kicked up tuna salad. We are still impressed with the celebration of vegetables and how beautiful the dishes are. Again. Top notch service too!!

Yelp
First of all, we made the reservation at 7:45pm but we got seated at 8pm. We were then seated and were not even served water for the next 10 minutes until we asked the bus lady for water. We then ordered food that took over an hour to come out but even then, the taste and portions of the food did not match the price. Overall, our time there was not enjoyable and would not recommend this service for anyone. Also, we spent 300 dollars here and still left hungry.

Angela P.

Yelp
It wouldn't be fair to give this place anything less than 5 stars, as we arrived with a belly full of food and wine. When I made the reservation, I was unaware that we were going to get fed every stop we made. I almost canceled our reservation, but I had been wanting to try this place for so long we decided to keep the reservation but move it slightly later to give ourselves some time to digest. I am so glad we did, what we did eat was all delicious, minus one exception we ordered the albacore confit. It was dill with a little bit of fish. I like dill but this was overwhelming. I did mention it to our server, who brought it to the chef's attention. They were very apologetic and explained that some additional training with the prep cooks was in order to make sure it wouldn't happen moving forward. The highlights for me were the shrimp rolls, and the Pavlova. I would drive all the way to MAC for that Pavlova. I always thought Pavlova was rather boring, but this had a lemon balm custard with fresh seasonal berries. It was also nice and light, so it didn't disrupt our already full bellies. We interacted with multiple staff members who were all engaging and sweet. It was obvious, they were treated well.

Marieke S.

Yelp
Great spot for food and drinks! We shared the sourdough boule, albacore confit, summer corn pasta dish, and berry pavlova. The portions were on the smaller side but still OK to share all of the above with 3 of us. The albacore confit was very tasty and had an interesting mix of ingredients that all came together very well. The pavlova was delicious!! We loved the flavor of our drinks; however, for the price of the cocktail ($15) I would have expected an average size - my drink just about filled half of a coup, and for the same price in other areas I have at least received a fully-poured drink.

Karin H.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place and while it took us a while to get there the first time, it won't take so long the second. We were in the area visiting one of our favorite artists and ended up McMinnville on our way home so we stopped for brunch. From the time we walked through the door the experience was amazing. Though it was prime Sunday brunch time and we didn't have a reservation we were seated right away. The menu is a great mix of comfort favorites. I opted for the corned beef hash, my husband the eggs Benedict and our friend had the beet salad. The beet salad was one of the most beautiful dishes I have ever seen. The hash was one of the best I have ever had (I've had a few). Not to dry, not to salty and the egg was perfect. The eggs Benedict had a unique layer of greens that really worked with the other flavors making it a nice change from other Benedicts.

Lori A.

Yelp
My sister and I had dinner here and absolutely loved the place! Our server was pleasant and on top of everything, we never had to wait for anything. We had the carrot salad and the cavatelli pasta; both were delicious, interesting flavor profiles and texture combinations. Someone in the kitchen sure knows what they are doing!

Yelp
The occasion for our visit was our 45th wedding anniversary. Two weeks ago, my husband called me at work to ask me my preference for celebrating. He told me he found a reservation at Gregory Gourdet's restaurant in Portland, Kann. I have been trying to get reservations there for months. I, however, had been noticing advertisements on social media from Humble Spirit in McMinnville. At our age, a 15-minute drive sounds awfully seductive, just like the menu at Humble Spirit. Humble Spirit, located at 411 3rd Street in McMinnville, used to house one of my favorite restaurants that didn't make it after the pandemic. Focusing on local provisions and regenerative farming practices, the staff and owners have created a casual and comfortable atmosphere while pouring a lot of effort into creating a fine dining experience that is both satisfying and fun. The menu is thoughtful, giving every diner a good selection of proteins and vegetarian offerings. Resourcing local farmers, and ranchers, they highlight the food of a local farm, tabula rasa farms. Our meal was fabulous. The service was just right. Care and attention without being overbearing. Even when my husband accidentally broke his glass, the staff skillfully cleaned things up without batting an eye or making him feel bad. There are plenty of dishes to try on the dinner menu, but the brunch menu is calling to me as well.

Hannah E.

Yelp
Once again an incredible visit to Humble Spirit, this time for brunch. The corned beef hash was to die for, my partner had the buttermilk biscuit Benedict and loved it. Staff are always so friendly and attentive, and of course the restaurant has such a great vibe and aesthetics overall. Love love love!

Nicholas Z.

Yelp
Each visit has seen bountiful and soulfully prepared local cuisine, and extremely pleasant camaraderie with the young gentleman attending me at the bar where I ate. Although Cypress is also a favorite of mine (especially for an afternoon nosh and tea) this would have to be my preferred location in town for dinner so far. Well done on all fronts!

Matt P.

Yelp
The best food I had over a long weekend in town. Started with the meatballs and the carrot salad. Awesome. The pasta dish - Cavatelli Pasta - and the roasted chicken dish were some of the best I've ever had. Didn't have reservations - sat at table at window. Wound up meeting someone NEXT to us who worked at the farm where the food comes from and they offered a tour of it! From the restaurant to the farm - this place has IT.

Yasaman E.

Yelp
Came here for my assistants birthday dinner on Sunday night and we both really enjoyed ourselves We started with the cheese sampler (of 3) then the tuna salad, another beet/hazelnut salad and then we had the fish and ended the meal with the pear dessert. Service was amazing and the inside seating and decor is chic. Highly recommended and worth the drive to McMinnville

Amy S.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. Seriously. Share the snacks and small plates! Shrimp rolls are a must.

Wayne G.

Yelp
This is an exciting new restaurant in McMinnville. The dishes come from thoughtfully sourced ingredients from the Willamette Valley, and the ambience is fine dining with a flair for simplicity and a bit of whimsy. Where else are you going to find Artisan Pork tenderloin (and its amazing) that also has soft serve ice cream for dessert?. The leadership team has extensive experience with exceptional dining experiences - French Laundry!. We enjoyed many dishes - the Tuna Confit, was amazingly good. I don't think I've ever had something like it. The Pork Tenderloin melted in your mouth! Finally, the pasta was homemade, and flavorful. Thoughtful wine list, and unique cocktails make it a complete package. I'd recommend going, not once, but many times.

Colleen S.

Yelp
Sunday brunch. YES. I sat at the bar and a lovely bartendress named O'Malley made sure I had everything I needed. There was one other person eating at the bar, an artist/cab driver named Andy, and the three of us had a perfect morning. I had their corned beef hash, which was perfect. They make the corned beef in-house and wow, was it delicious. The hash was everything I wanted it to be, with no unnecessary ingredients. Between the great food, service and ambiance, I could not have been happier with my brunch at Humble Spirit.

Bryan D.

Yelp
Best trout I've had! Unique preparation with the filet of the head, nice and crispy with all the fresh herbs and sauce. Wife loved the pasta and the meatballs with broth was amazing. We ended up staying at the inn the ground b&b which was coincidentally the same owner of the restaurant- both were great - those owners are doing something right. Highly recommend for good food at more affordable prices than other restaurants in the area.

Jake N.

Yelp
This is some seriously good food and drinks. From the locally sourced meat and vegetables, to the incredible house made Oreo cookies for dessert your belly will thank you. Very good ambiance on 3rd and incredible wait staff. Another must visit foodie item in Mac.

Jenn J.

Yelp
Great wait staff!! Appreciate all our waiter did to make the night good. Poor management. We booked the last dinner of our stay at Humble Spirit because we enjoyed the delicious dessert and attentive staff the night before. Our daughter attends college in the area and we made the trip from Hawaii to visit her for spring break. We love the town and her school. Unfortunately, the management at Humble spirit tolerated a table of 12 that made the space deafening to all other conversations. The night ended shortly for us with apart of our party leaving in an uncomfortable way. It is unfortunate that our night had to end in such an unpleasant manner. We hope the table of 12 understands that they were not the only table in the restaurant trying to break bread with family and loved ones.

Sheri A.

Yelp
I liked that snow didn't get in the way of staying open. The service was 4 out of 5. The food was great! I had the clans and broccolini! Get the broccolini!!!!! My husband loved the trout. Ask for broccolini on top instead of arugula, unless you love arugula and radishes. I loved this wine. See the pic!

Ricky M.

Yelp
We came with some friends to Mcminville to do a day/evening of wine tasting for a friends Birthday. They put the day's itinerary together including our stop at Humble Spirit for dinner. I was definitely humbled by my experience. This restaurant exists on 3rd ave (sort of McMinville's main strip). The interior conveyed a ton of charm and warmth - There was an abundance of staff, all who seemed eager to help us as we walked in. We were the largest group of the night and we were taken care of by our dedicated server plus a somm and a bar attendant. We really felt taken care of and the service came without that phoned in attitude that sometimes comes from hosting larger groups. We ordered primarily everything on the menu, as we decided to sort of share everything ( servers here will definitely advise to share small/med sized plates and possibly 1 large plate per every 2-3 people). Some standouts were the Pork Belly + Hazelnuts, Albacore Confit, and the homemade "Oreos". Truly though, everything we ate looked and tasted amazing. We also were told a lot of the greens and some of the specials are all from the farm owned by the proprietor. Kudos to keeping ingredients local! Drinks were a mix of wine and house cocktails. They make a potent Martini too (this is a good thing). We look forward to coming back and enjoying another epic meal. To the staff at Humble Spirit, thank you. You have a very special place and environment.

Tonni W.

Yelp
On a road trip, the locals recommended this place for dinner. It was amazing. Good food, and great service, and the ambiance was fun and friendly. It can get loud but it's because everyone seems to be having a great time.

Jeff M.

Yelp
A group of 4 of us visited Humble Spirit for the first time last week and we had an amazing experience. The food, atmosphere and service were all exceptional. Duck croquettes, homemade pasta and roasted chicken. We'll definitely be back soon.

Teddi M.

Yelp
Extremely fresh ingredients. Nice atmosphere. The inside is beautiful and friendly service.

Shay Z.

Yelp
Okay, I hate to go against the grain here but found this restaurant very ho-hum. Humble Spirit was highly recommended by nearly everyone we met while on vacation so we snagged a reservation for a Friday night. We started with the liver pate and it was ... fine? I found it odd to serve pate on a crisp because it was difficult to spread the cold pate on something that easily broke. There was also a thick layer of fat on top of the pate which was just kind of odd. I like fat but since it was cold you had to stab through it. My husband had the nights special, a turkey pot pie which was good but nothing too different from the flavor of any homemade pot pie and I had their burnt butter pasta. At the waiters suggestion I got the meatballs to add to it. The pasta on its own was bland. Very little of that toasted caramel flavor that burnt butter usually brings and the meatballs were okay. The mushrooms in the dish were a wonderful quality but over salted in the sauce. The interior was cozy and the staff excellent, but not sure I'd ever visit again based on the food alone.

Pat F.

Yelp
Their fried chicken dinner was so delicious. Service and ambience was amazing as well. I wouldn't change a thing!

Nicholas C.

Yelp
Avoid this restaurant. Extremely rude. Food is average. Overpriced. Worst service ever!!!

Chad C.

Yelp
Food and service was excellent! Great ambiance as well! Will definitely eat there again when we are down in McMinnville.

Lori S.

Yelp
One of my top two meals this year. Loved everything about this restaurant - relaxed vibe , great service and delicious food using super-fresh ingredients. If we return, it would be difficult not to order the same things - beet salad , outrageous rich and lemony clams , gnocchi with blistered tomatoes and trout with an herb salad. Yum!

Dayna W.

Yelp
Excellent food , knowledgeable wait staff . Lovely decor and ambiance. Menu is well thought out by the chef .

Tom H.

Yelp
5 stars from service, receptionist, farm to table locally sourced organic offerings to Andrew's wine recommendations. Only downside is the limited number of Russian River/Anderson Valley Pinots (none) as well as limited Dundee Hills/Willamette wines . Great cocktail bar and creative drinks...not to be missed!

Candace N.

Yelp
This place had the best staff and service. Super friendly and overall great vibe. The food was absolutely amazing.

Joe S.

Yelp
So glad we ended up here for dinner. Newly renovated, clean lines and attractive space. Wonderful, charming, personable and knowledgeable serving staff. Creative food that highlights the ingredients. Avoids heavy sauces. Everything was delicious. Great wine selection at fair prices- we had an interesting and tasty Etna Rossato pink wine. Affordable overall compared to similar nearby options. Highly recommended. This will elevate McMinville as a food destination.

Megan G.

Yelp
An amaaaaaaazing restaurant! I ate an early dinner at the bar solo, while I was visiting some friends in the area who were still finishing off their work days and I was hungry. All of the staff were very friendly to chat with; also, very informed on the bounty of the area. The BTG wine options were superb; I had a glass of bubbles and a Pinot (of course!). I enjoyed the fresh (SO FRESH! Some of the greens had been foraged that day, by one of the staff!) and pickled veggie plate, which had some of the tastiest spreads (a hummus and an herb ranch) ever, as well as, the paté with fresh sourdough bread. Sounds like small plates, but the portions were very generous. In fact, I would have licked the last little bit of spreads off of the veggie plate, if I had not been raised better!!!

Sirosh S.

Yelp
Great new restaurant. The service was noteworthy. I enjoyed my wine and dinner.

Joe C.

Yelp
My wife and I finally had a chance to check out Humble Spirit last night. The newly remodeled location has incredible ambience and a beautiful bar with full service. We started out with a cheese platter and salad, then finished with the chicken dish, an order of meatballs, and the tagliatelle. The food was incredible as was the service. They also have a great wine selection, cocktails and several beers on tap. If you're into beer, try the local Pilsner, Heater-Allen. Reservations are a good idea, but we lucked out and found two seats at the bar. This is a great addition to McMinnville and it definitely will become our go to place in Yamhill County.

B G.

Yelp
Staff was amazing, sitting outside on the road gave a great experience. Over very nice dining and one of the best roasted chicken we have had.

Wade H.

Yelp
My wife and I were in McMinnville for a few days and wandered across this cute new restaurant in downtown. Not surprisingly, it was a Friday and reservations were largely booked. So, we took a chance and walked in. Luckily, someone had just canceled and we got a table. This turned into one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We have literally traveled around the world and this place ranks among the best ever. We were greeted by wonderful and engaging staff and a menu with a range of options. My wife had the special, short ribs with polenta, and I ventured among the many appetizers, selecting the hazelnuts with pork belly, meatballs with mushrooms, and the roasted carrot salad. I wanted to sample the skill of preparation and tastes. Simply put, the food was amazing. The breadth of flavors and aromas was captivating, paired with outstanding wines. It left me wanting more. By chance, we were sitting next to the owner and his wife and friends. As we gushed over the experience with our server, she introduced us and he told of the story surrounding the restaurant. We were also introduced to the executive chef and heard from him speak of his passion for his craft and the food. I cannot tell you how wonderful this all was. You simply need to experience this place for yourself. If you're looking to be amazed, go to the Humble Spirit. Learn it's story. Make the trip. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Is anyone else humbly Waiting for Godot in Spirit? It is always inspiring to see new perspectives in remodeled spaces. There is a lot to equalize to / from the legend of the "411" RIP- I will keep this brief in saying that this restaurant will likely find the gravity to ground its identity with "spirit", but, - a shell in a newly remodeled "beautiful" canvas, without an identity, is where it is now. Sparse menu, yet full of such blockbuster video hits as, cheeseburger, half chicken, beet salad, etc. fill in the blank, "bread"___ as Gastro pub fine dining is a full ticket price experience. You had me at hello, Jerry. How to proceed? Knowing the comfort of the blue moon radiates from across the street, there is a tractor beam of attraction out the windows. We know Godot will eventually be coming. Great friendly staff, and a fun place to see- I just need something to come back for, from up close, or afar.

Yelp
We love this New restaurant on 3rd street. We keep coming back and everything we've tried on the menu has been delicious! Better yet, the staff is professional, friendly, and fun. Best service from Dusty, Ari, TJ, and the owner Frank takes time to say "Hello". We highly recommend Humble Spirit, go check them out! Cheers!

Yelp
Food was fantastic- especially the shrimp rolls. Service a little uneven, local wine and beer selection limited. We sat outside on a delightful evening. Will be back.

Yelp
In a word ... "Outstanding". Everything feels authentic about this restaurant. The food is fresh and the theme of farm-to-table exudes. The dishes are complex and delicious. The decor is simple but also authentic. Brick walls, nicely finished wood with a black ceiling, and old hardwood floors make it a pleasant place to eat. The staff is knowledgable, unpretentious and again felt "authentic". They have some nice cocktails, maybe a little pricey but what we tasted was yummy and the wine list has enough variety to cater to most tastes. This is a restaurant we want to return to and would have no hesitation in recommending it to absolutely anybody. This was our first visit and we will be back.

Yelp
Table was tucked away and a bit claustrophobic.... Large party next to us was so close the servers basically bumped our table with their a$$ every time they came over. While the food presentation and flavor was impeccable, I didn't enjoy the view regularly close to my face....
